However, some of these Jobs will offer a notably different performance depending on if they’re controlled by the player, or by the game’s AI (the player’s Mii can also be AI-controlled in Autobattle mode).</p> <p>Another thing to note is the friendship mechanic that we’ve alluded to in other portions of the guide. The bond between two Miis can level up both in and outside of battle, unlocking new abilities in the process, which can strengthen attacks, prevent damage, or speed up HP/MP recovery, among other things. The maximum relationship level is 99.</p> <p>As such, this guide assumes that the Mii with each Job is not only a CPU but also has at least a Level 20 relationship with you, as all moves unlocked past this level are just stronger variants of older ones.</p> <h2>#5. Cleric</h2> <p><img alt="" src="/sites/default/files/authors/u160480/miitopias-best-ai-2.jpg" style="width: 620px; height: 473px;" /></p> <p><em>Not only is he one-track-minded, but he's selfish too!</em></p> <p>Clerics are the most potent of all the game’s healing Jobs, but their usefulness becomes greatly reduced and situational should you appoint one as your teammate. When computer-controlled, they become one-track-minded and only focus on one task, with only a 20% chance of throwing out an offensive move. Still, their healing abilities are second to none, so there’s that.</p> <p><strong>Why AI is Great for this Job:</strong></p> <ul> <li>All of their healing moves have a 100% likelihood of being used. <ul> <li>Combined with the Job’s high-speed stat, this ensures that it will heal its party early on in the turn if need be.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Clerics will always heal party members even while quarreling with them.</li> </ul> <h2>#4. Chef</h2> <p><img alt="" src="/sites/default/files/authors/u160480/miitopias-best-ai-3.jpg" style="width: 620px; height: 490px;" /></p> <p><em>Yeah, looks delicious, but how about you use that pan for something else for a bit?</em></p> <p>Chefs can cook up some great battle plans while you’re playing as one, but the moment control is handed to the AI, they act more like line cooks and bring about an element of pragmatism, just doing what’s expected of their Job and rarely stepping out of line. Really, the only reason why they’re ranked higher than the Cleric is that they can balance healing and offense.</p> <p><strong>Why AI is Great for this Job:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Chefs are known for their high attack and defense, resulting in a partner who is a bit more on the durable side and doesn’t require as much assistance. <ul> <li>Because of their stronger attack power, they can also make certain team moves (namely the ones that involve extra damage or even extra attacks) even more effective.</li> <li>The high defense stat will also lessen their chances of fainting when using the Sacrifice move.</li> </ul> </li> <li>The Chef’s more risky abilities are only 10% likely to occur. While this does limit its moveset and reduce its likelihood of using strong, area-of-effect attacks, it also conserves MP and lessens the chances of hurting relationships among the party.</li> </ul> <h2>#3. Imp</h2> <p><img alt="" src="/sites/default/files/authors/u160480/miitopias-best-ai-4.jpg" style="width: 620px; height: 476px;" /></p> <p><em>Makes you wonder why they're called Imps when they're so powerful.</em></p> <p>This Job would be a solid choice for a party member, with a relatively even chance of throwing out each of its moves and wreaking havoc on the battlefield. However, this pragmatism appears to be a bit randomized, as certain useful abilities, such as self-healing and baiting partners into dealing strong blows, barely occur in comparison to the rest. Still, pairing it up with the right Jobs and forming a strong enough bond with it can cover up its shortcomings.</p> <p><strong>Why AI is Great for this Job:</strong></p> <ul> <li>All but three special moves are 50-70% likely to be used. This includes strong attacks that can hit multiple foes, restoring the MP of itself and its partners, and distracting the enemy. <ul> <li>One of the three unlikely attacks, while very powerful, is unlikely to work anyway, so this ensures that the Mii won’t try to spam the attack.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Certain team moves that result in strengthened attacks can make up for the lack of ally baiting.</li> </ul> <h2>#2. Scientist</h2> <p><img alt="" src="/sites/default/files/authors/u160480/miitopias-best-ai-5.jpg" style="width: 620px; height: 585px;" /></p> <p><em>I guess you could say they've mastered the... science of combat!</em></p> <p>A Scientist can make for a reliable asset to any team, bringing their high speed and varied abilities to the table, in addition to immense crowd control aided by their large MP pool. As far as AI is concerned, the Scientist is in pretty much the same boat as the Imp, albeit with a somewhat more even probability across its moveset. And by that, we mean it only has one move (healing a party member while they attack for one turn) with a lowered frequency instead of three.</p> <p><strong>Why AI is Great for this Job:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Almost every move is 50-60% likely to be utilized. This includes: <ul> <li>Area of effect attacks.</li> <li>Blocking status effects.</li> <li>Healing party members.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Their high-speed stat makes it more likely that they will take their turns sooner than other party members.</li> </ul> <h2>#1. Warrior</h2> <p><img alt="" src="/sites/default/files/authors/u160480/miitopias-best-ai-6.jpg" style="width: 620px; height: 538px;" /></p> <p><em>Raaarrrr indeed, o brave Warrior. Raaarrrr indeed.</em></p> <p>Most other Jobs will often neuter their movesets, be too reckless in battle, or just spam the same one or two moves while under the AI’s influence, and some are only good in human hands. But the Warrior is one of only a few who excels no matter whose control it’s under, and when combined with its high endurance, this makes it an all but necessary member of the team you set out on. Unfortunately, even the best of us have our flaws, and in this Job’s case, it has a status effect-curing move that it flat-out won’t use on a party member if they aren’t on good terms. make it through your quest in <em>Miitopia</em>, it isn’t enough to have the right teams and/or personalities. You also need to keep your party’s stats in check. Each Mii’s stats will go up a little every time it levels up in combat, but a great way to increase those buffs is to feed them Grub while resting at the game’s many Inns. It is also beneficial, in that the stat boosts obtained in this fashion are separate from your chosen Job’s stats and stack on top of them. Likewise, these ones will carry over if you decide to switch Jobs, making it so you won’t have to completely start from scratch while leveling up. Each stat can be increased up to 99.</p> <p>Grub can be obtained in many ways: it can be won from the game’s roulette minigame, earned by taking out certain enemies (Cats and Chefs have the ability to swipe the dish from the enemy without having to defeat it) or clearing certain postgame missions, found in treasure chests, collected during friendship outings, or simply handed to you from a certain recurring NPC. Upon being fed to a party member, their reaction will affect the stat boost. If they hate or dislike it, then the stats will lower slightly; a neutral reaction will yield no effects; and if they like or love it, then the stats will increase a little or a lot.</p> <p>There are a total of 196 types of Grub to be found in the game, with all but ten of them being variants of other dishes. Each base dish increases one or multiple stats (HP, Magic, MP, Attack, Defense, and Speed) and has two stronger and rarer variants that grant higher stat boosts; it is also worth noting that the two-star variants have a high probability of being dropped by bosses. For this ranking, each slot was decided based on the stats increased and how much of a Mii’s stomach it will fill. Each slot includes all three variants of the dish and assumes that the Mii loves the dish.</p> <h2>#10. Frog Juice</h2> <p><img alt="" src="/sites/default/files/authors/u160480/miitopias-best-food-2.jpg" style="width: 620px; height: 500px;" /></p> <p><em>That description does very little to answer our questions, Nintendo...</em></p> <p>We never see the substance inside the bottle, but from the name alone, it sounds pretty gross. It isn’t the ideal beverage anyway, despite coming in three varieties. The Frog Juice is probably the most situational in the game, only good for Jobs that lack in defense or magic ability. href="https://www.gamersdecide.com/articles/miitopias-best-personality-which-should-you-choose" target="_blank">Personality</a> to be found in <em>Miitopia</em>, and what each one can do. Now it’s time to judge the former in action, specifically while teamed up in a group of four. When you start up the game, you’ll have one player-controlled Mii that will always be a part of the party, and gain three new computer-controlled teammates after certain checkpoints in the story campaign, resulting in a group of ten by the end of the game. Why, during the postgame, you can create up to 100 party members and swap them out with each other, ensuring you’ll have ten at your fingertips at all times.</p> <p>Once you have at least ten party members, you unlock the ability to send any combination of up to four into battle, even an all-CPU team if you really want to. This guide assumes that all party members have unlocked their full movesets. The exact level at which a Mii gains access to all its maneuvers depends on its Job, though all but two of them reach this point between Levels 30 and 40, the ideal place to be in order to brave most of the postgame content.</p> <p>These results were determined by pitting the teams against the unlockable Tower of Despair, a postgame locale that contains a gauntlet of the game’s toughest enemies, including the secret final boss. We'll try not to spoil much about that, but if your team can prevail against them, then surely it can steamroll the rest of the game, right?</p> <h2>#5. Vampire + Scientist + Warrior + Cleric</h2> <p>Magic and logic working together? What malarkey is this? Simply put, it’s a healthy mix between early and late-game Jobs. This team setup is ideal for anyone who favors damage output, but also wants to be more pragmatic and have as much of an added safety net as possible.</p> <p><strong>Why This Team is Great:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Three-fourths of the team can rid party members of status effects or even prevent them outright.</li> <li>Half the team can revive fallen teammates; combined with the Warrior’s high defense, and the Vampire’s ability to self-resurrect and pass that power onto its teammates, it ensures Miis will keel over less frequently.</li> <li>Most of the party has a high attack stat, and can heavily damage multiple foes at once.</li> <li>The Vampire’s ability to sap away the health of its enemies in multiple ways can work well alongside its heavy-hitting comrades, giving their strongest attacks just a bit more oomph in terms of taking them out.</li> <li>The Scientist can restore the MP and HP of anyone in its party, not only allowing the Cleric to share the burden of keeping the team alive, but also allowing its teammates to use their most MP-intensive attacks more often.</li> </ul> <h2>#4. Princess + Pop Star + Vampire + Warrior</h2> <p>What, you thought every single team would include a Cleric? After all, there might be some players who want to be hardcore and take more of a risk in the heat of things, sending in a unit that behaves like a glass cannon and focuses more on endurance than strategy. So here you go… ya’ filthy masochists.</p> <p><strong>Why This Team is Great:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Half of the team can revive fallen party members, albeit with a lower probability of success than the Cleric or Flower.</li> <li>Combined with the Vampire’s ability to heal and revive itself (and even grant its teammates the ability to revive themselves too), this can somewhat soften the blow.</li> <li>Half of the team can recover each other’s MP, enabling more frequent use of the strongest special attacks.</li> <li>The Pop Star can heal itself and resolve quarrels among teammates, which tend to disrupt the flow of combat.</li> <li>In addition, because they unlock their whole moveset sooner than most other Jobs (Level 27, tied with the Tank), they’ll likely be a lot stronger by the time the rest of the team catches up.</li> <li>The Princess’ ability to slip away from danger can prevent it and a party member from tanking too many hits. <ul> <li>They can also distract the enemy and lower their defense, which can make things a little less stressful, especially against tougher enemies.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h2>#3. Tank + Chef + Warrior + Pop Star</h2> <p>Same idea as the #4 choice, but it’s more of a middle-ground, better for those who want to play things a little safer while still getting a challenge out of the game’s combat.</p> <p><strong>Why This Team is Great:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Due to the Pop Star’s ability to end quarrels, grant extra turns, and restore MP, the Tank and the Chef can make use of their strongest moves in a more risk-free environment, and they can even spam them more often.</li> <li>The Pop Star can also aid the Tank, whose moveset is notoriously MP consuming.</li> <li>Half of the team can revive fallen party members, and their lower success rate is less of an issue, due to the Warrior and Tank’s high defense.</li> <li>Like the Pop Star, The Tank unlocks its full moveset earlier than most Jobs, meaning it will be a little stronger once its party members catch up. Having both of them on the team will thus double the advantage.</li> </ul> <h2>#2. Thief + Cleric + Warrior + Mage</h2> <p>Sometimes it’s best to go back to where you started. These four Jobs are among the first ones available to you at the start of the game, but <em>Miitopia</em> isn’t like other games, where some will become obsolete over time. Once you have the full movesets unlocked for these bad boys (or girls), they won’t even look like starter classes anymore, and the way they complement each other remains intact even hundreds of hours into the game.</p> <p><strong>Why This Team is Great:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Half the team is capable of reviving fallen teammates and removing emotion-based status effects.</li> <li>High damage output across the board.</li> <li>The Thief can protect itself and its party members, meaning they won’t have to rely on the Cleric quite as much.</li> <li>The Thief’s sneak attack can also let them avoid some incredibly powerful attacks, lessening the odds of having the entire team knocked out and inducing a game over. <ul> <li>Furthermore, the Thief’s ability to steal recovery items from enemies can improve its longevity as the tougher fights wear on, not needing to rely quite as much on the Cleric.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h2>#1. Imp + Cleric + Cat + Mage</h2> <p>A team that gives the mid-game Jobs some love, this one is without a doubt the most ideal combination to bring onto the battlefield, with countless ways to weaken the enemy and plow through them. If you’re a player who wants to enjoy yourself, focus on offensive play, get a good challenge, and also complete said challenges efficiently, then this is your go-to quartet.</p> <p><strong>Why This Team is Great:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Almost all teammates can hit multiple targets at once.</li> <li>Three out of four party members can heal themselves, while the Cleric has the ability to heal or revive anyone.</li> <li>The Cat’s MP-restoring ability compliments the Mage quite well, as the latter’s moveset costs a lot of it.</li> <li>Both the Cat and the Mage are also complimented by having an Imp around, as the latter can trick the others into performing stronger attacks. This is especially helpful since they both have among the highest attack stats in the game.</li> <li>The Imp can restore its own HP and MP, weakening the enemy in the process, and can also strengthen the attacks of its party members. <em>Miitopia</em>, when it comes time to set out on your journey to quite literally save face, it isn’t enough to choose your Job (check out <a class="Colorbox" In addition to altering the dialogue among your party, albeit without affecting the story, your personality also plays a role in your moveset, adding in a few abilities that function automatically and at random. A total of seven exist in the game, all available from the start. Each Mii gets one, but you can switch their personalities whenever you wish.</p> <p>Each personality has its own upsides and downsides, which will be detailed in our comprehensive guide below!</p> <h2>#1. Kind</h2> <p><img alt="" src="/sites/default/files/authors/u160480/miitopias-best-personality-2.jpg" style="width: 620px; height: 470px;" /></p> <p><em>They say you should love thy neighbor... or in this case, love thy party member.</em></p> <p>No party would be complete without the heart of the group, the noble one who always goes out of their way to help their partners out when they’re in a pinch. Any Miis set to this personality are prone to drop everything for the sake of their teammates, but they sometimes forget that such kindness shouldn’t be directed at enemies too.</p> <p><strong>What Kind Miis Excel At:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Can donate a spare recovery item to a party member who has run out.</li> <li>Can step in front of a party member who is low on HP and take a hit in their place.</li> <li>Can stop in the middle of attacking a non-boss enemy and attempt to spare their life. This can prevent the team from having to face a powerful enemy but also prevents them from gaining items or EXP from that enemy. This translates almost seamlessly into battle, where they love to boost the team’s morale as best they can and never give up, no matter how bleak the outcome may look. Such liveliness also leads to a bit of recklessness, however.</p> <p><strong>What Energetic Miis Excel At:</strong></p> <ul> <li>They have a Charge move that replaces their usual moveset for one turn; the Mii rams into an enemy, dealing 1.3x the damage of their standard attack but also resulting in some minor recoil damage. Only 10% likely to occur.</li> <li>Can sometimes cheer for a party member, restoring their MP. Never happens more than once per battle.</li> <li>Can revive themselves with 1 HP after being killed; only 50% likely to occur.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why You Should Be Energetic:</strong></p> <ul> <li>If you enjoy the risk vs. reward style of gameplay, but don’t want it to be too extreme.</li> <li>If your Mii is a Pop Star, Cat, Princess, Imp, Vampire, Warrior, or Tank. <ul> <li>Since Vampires can already revive themselves, making them Energetic can double the odds of them doing so.</li> <li>The former four can already restore party members’ MP, so being Energetic would make that more likely to happen.</li> </ul> </li> <li>If you’re teamed up with a Mii whose moveset costs a lot of MP, such as a Tank or a Mage.</li> <li>If you consider yourself energetic.</li> </ul> <p>Energetic Details: <a href="https://miitopia.fandom.com/wiki/Energetic ">https://miitopia.fandom.com/wiki/Energetic </a></p> <h2>#3. The hippies of the game, laid-back Miis bring an element of calm onto the battlefield, preferring pragmatism over brute force, but such an attitude usually does a good job of getting on the party’s nerves.</p> <p><strong>What Laid-Back Miis Excel At:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Can hide behind a party member to avoid an attack, but irritates said party member as a result. Only occurs 10% of the time.</li> <li>Can swipe a recovery item from a party member, irritating them in the process. Player-controlled Miis do not have access to this move, but it’s important to keep in mind when picking the CPUs’ personalities.</li> <li>Can shrug off certain status effects, namely the ones based on various emotions. If you choose this personality, you’ll function similarly to the Laid-Back temperament. But if you have some reservations about that, then worry not, because you’ll be just a little bit smarter.</p> <p><strong>What Cool Miis Excel At:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Can shrug off status effects, just like a Laid-Back Mii. 50% likely to happen.</li> <li>Will sometimes cancel the attack chosen and perform a stronger version of their standard attack, hitting an enemy’s weak point and dealing 1.5x the damage. 50% chance of occurring.</li> <li>Can dodge an enemy attack with no side effects or downsides. Only occurs 30% of the time and only works against direct attacks, not projectiles.</li> <li>Can refuse to cover a vulnerable teammate, letting them take the hit. Airheaded Miis are in the same boat, sometimes inconveniencing their teammates, but they’re really good at serving as a distraction and catching opponents off guard. You may be sick of this trope, but it isn’t often to see it occur in a JRPG, so that’s something, right?</p> <p><strong>What Airheaded Miis Excel At:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Can abruptly switch targets mid-attack, dealing 1.5x the damage to their new target. The new target will always be whichever enemy has the highest HP. 50% likely to occur.</li> <li>Can walk up to an enemy and play with them, distracting both themselves and the chosen enemy. Player-controlled Miis cannot use this skill, but it is important to keep in mind when choosing your CPUs’ personalities.</li> <li>Can sacrifice one turn to fall asleep and regenerate HP. 30% likely to occur, but only at low health. Can and will be woken up by enemy attacks.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why You Should Be Airheaded:</strong></p> <ul> <li>If your Mii is an Imp. However, they are a little too sure of themselves, and their reckless attitudes can cost them crucial assistance and risk creating drama among party members.</p> <p><strong>What Stubborn Miis Excel At:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Can brace for impact, halving the damage taken from a single attack. 20% likely to occur.</li> <li>Can attack twice in one turn; will always be a repeat of the same attack. 30% likely to occur.</li> <li>Can refuse aid from a party member. While it can stave off emotion-based status effects, which can take away the Mii’s ability to choose their next attack, it can also cost them a chance to regain HP or MP. It’s only 20% likely to occur, but it always works and can cause drama among the party.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why You Should Be Stubborn:</strong></p> <ul> <li>If your Mii is a Chef. This personality works with any Job, but the Chef’s moveset is best complimented by these abilities. <ul> <li>Healers such as Clerics and Flowers can also benefit, being able to heal twice or even revive multiple fallen teammates. They also won’t need to worry as much about refusing healing from others.</li> <li>Being a Pop Star or having one on the team can quell any disputes resulting from your Mii’s stubbornness. Cautious Miis are rather nebbish and always make sure they’re prepared for the situation at hand, but it doesn’t take away from their ability to kick some monster tail.</p> <p><strong>What Cautious Miis Excel At:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Can make their regular attack deal 1.3x the damage. 50% likely to occur after choosing a standard attack.</li> <li>Can delay their move until the end of the turn, doubling the effectiveness of their chosen attack. In addition to being addictively fun, the game also serves as a suitable entry point for those unfamiliar with turn-based RPGs, with its simple mechanics and straightforward gameplay. But that’s not going to stop us from making this even more beginner-friendly! Here is our comprehensive guide to each Job that the player can choose during gameplay!</p> <p>There are a total of fourteen Jobs to choose from; six are available from the start, while the rest are unlocked by progressing through the game. You’ll pick one at the beginning, and at certain points in the campaign, you’ll have to switch to a new one, before eventually having access to almost all of them just before the endgame. Each Job has a standard attack, in addition to its own set of special attacks, which expands as the Mii goes up to the maximum Level 50, each with its own upsides and downsides. They are also the only healer who can’t revive their teammates. As the saying goes, you can’t have your cake and eat it too.</p> <p><strong>What Chefs Excel At:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Can restore a little or a lot of HP for one party member.</li> <li>One move can heal the whole party but at the cost of a single turn. The amount it heals also varies depending on the Mii’s magic stat, unlike its other healing moves.</li> <li>Can cook a party member’s HP Bananas (the only HP-restoring item in the game) to make them more potent.</li> <li>Has a move that can one-shot any enemy that isn’t a boss and turn it into a stat-boosting dish, but has a 50% success rate.</li> <li>Has a strong, single-target special attack that can be easily spammed due to its low MP cost. It’s treated like a standard attack, and thus is compatible with certain team maneuvers.</li> <li>Can feed a spicy meal to one or all teammates, damaging up to four enemies. Business as usual. There were big announcements of big games, a ton of self-aware teasers, the classic console wars, and so on…</p> <p>I’m not gonna lie, I liked it. I thought the Outer Worlds 2 teaser was ingenious, I felt whatever emotions Devolver Digital’s conference is supposed to make you feel (all of them?). </p> <p>I like big triple-A game releases. I like ray-traced, ambient-occlused, procedurally-generated huge and dynamic open worlds with 120 trillion hours of content and at least 29 cosmetic DLCs.  </p> <p>I do feel, however, that it’s very easy to lose yourself in the industry’s titans and forget all about the huge world of different and unique experiences that indie gaming has to offer.</p> <p>In the last few years, indie has given us a vast pool of fantastic games, from some of the best horror in decades to personal heart-wrenching stories that change the way you think about the world.  </p> <p>So, in the interest of catching all the beauty that indie developers have for us before they fade from the discourse, here are the top 10 New Indie Games in 2021.</p> <h2><strong>10. Besides, the experience from the POV of a cat is one of those concepts that only video games can really make the most out of. </p> <p>Although BlueTwelve Studio, the developer, doesn’t have a lot to its name, the game is going to be published by Annapurna Interactive, which has a certified seal of approval when it comes to indie gaming.  </p> <p>The game is set to be released sometime in 2021, probably around winter. </p> <h2><strong>9. If you’re one of those, Goodbye Volcano High will release later this year, and you should probably get some tissues ready.  </p> <h2><strong>7. On paper, the game looks like it checks every box of things that gamers dislike about indie games: Black and white artsy style, minimalistic storytelling, and quite light on the “game” part of videogame.   </p> <p>To some degree, this might be true. I can’t say for sure how much of a game The Longest Road on Earth is, there really isn’t that much gaming to be done.</p> <p>What it is, however, is one of the best artistic experiences I’ve had in a while.</p> <p>The Longest Road on Earth is told through different vignettes, where you control a series of characters whose stories are told through the environment and the motions of daily life, not dialogue or explicit material.</p> <p>Every vignette is mixed with a beautiful soundtrack that informs the situation. </p> <p>The game is very much open for interpretation, but every bit of it is carefully crafted to create a personal experience that hits you directly in the heart.</p> <p>When it comes to a game that will give you a punch to the gut, The Longest Road on Earth is what you’re looking for.  </p> <h2><strong>6. Even the game that famously has “noir” in the title manages to miss the mark on the soul of the genre. </p> <p>Chinatown Detective Agency is a true Noir video game. A neo-noir game, to be more precise. The game centers around a private eye as she tries to make a name for herself amongst the streets of Chinatown. </p> <p>The game is a point-and-click adventure with a beautiful and colorful 16-bit style. The whole thing looks like you are in a Nicolas Winding Refn movie. The dialogue is sublime and brilliantly written, full of humor and heavy-handed choices. </p> <p>Chinatown Detective Agency is dark and exciting, fun and nuanced. It looks to be the perfect game for fans of pulp detective stories, paying tribute to the genre whilst adding the unique experience that only a game can.</p> <p>The expected release date is somewhere in 2021, but you can play the demo right now for free.    </p> <h2><strong>5. Trapped in your own dreams while comatose, you’ll need to fight the nightmares that seek to stop you from awakening and slowly find out how you ended up in a coma. </p> <p>She Dreams Elsewhere is an adventure RPG with a beautiful visual style that evokes the surrealism that’s adequate for a title about dreaming.</p> <p>The game promises to be a healthy mix of story and gameplay in the vein of To The Moon or Undertale. </p> <p>She Dreams Elsewhere will debut later in 2021, and it has already received considerable praise from critics.</p> <h2><strong>4. The other uniting theme of the demos is that they’re all stylized to look like PS1-era games. </p> <p>The unique art style imbues the games with a sense of nostalgia, but make no mistakes, each game in the compilation is an original and refreshing piece that you have not seen before.</p> <p>The haunted disk has been getting a new release for a few years now, and it’s a great way to experience a little bite from a bunch of promising horror games without spending a lot of money or time. </p> <p>Think of it as a buffet platter for some amazing games that will undoubtedly blow your mind.</p> <h2><strong>3. Before Your Eyes would be one of such games, except for the fact that the execution is fantastic as well.</p> <p>The game is about the story of your life as you recall it in the afterlife. The game uses a mechanic wherein you blink instead of using an action button, usually, a blink will skip forward in time in some way, even if it means skipping an important bit.</p> <p>Making a game that you physically cannot see the whole of is a bold artistic choice, but it’s one that works, as the blinking mechanic works wonders to drive home the theme of memory and of letting life pass you by.</p> <p>The game is heartbreaking, and that is thanks to the topics it deals in and the wonderful way in which it uses gameplay to make the experience personal.</p> <p>Before your eyes might be a game unlike anything you’ve ever played, the game will leave you heartbroken and exhausted, but you will be better off for it. </p> <h2><strong>1. Adios tells the story of a pig farmer that decides that he can no longer help the mob dispose of bodies, even if that means that his days are numbered. </p> <p>The game starts as you break the news to the hitman that delivers the bodies, a man that just might be the only friend that you have left. Throughout the game, he will try to convince you not to retire as you two spend one last day together, talking about life and taking care of the farm.</p> <p>The game is an exploration of death and mortality. It’s clouted with a sense of inevitability, and it makes you explore grief without shoving the themes in your face. Instead of that, the game presents you with the story and a lot of quiet moments, and it lets you draw yourself in little by little until you are completely entrapped in the story.</p> <p>Both the soundtrack and the graphics are stylized and beautiful, like an impressionist painting, it’s not about looking real, but about feeling real.  </p> <p>Charmingly and brilliantly written, this game might not have high-octane thrills or unsolvable puzzles, but it will invite you to think and search deep inside of yourself.</p> <p>Great art reveals something about yourself and the world around you, great art invites you to explore the beauty of the human experience, the good and the bad.</p> <p>Adios is great art, and you should not pass it by.</p> <p>Your Halos and your Dooms will still be around after you finish indies. There’s nothing wrong with playing huge, fun games developed by Bethestubisoftivision Digital. But you won’t regret giving indies a chance, and experiencing games made by people that both love games and seek to push their boundaries.</p> <p>Also, Indies are cheaper, like way cheaper.
