Wanting to be a stealth archer like every other playthrough in Skyrim?? Well, sadly, ESO don’t work like that (lol), but it doesn’t make bow-builds any less cool and viable! Look through this list to see a mix of all sorts of bow-builds from beginner-friendly to a lil harder builds to cater for the more experienced ones. I don't know with you, but back in the early days of ESO, bow builds weren’t really viable but now, we’re certainly in ESO’s era where bow builds are cool and well worth a shot ;).

10. Hack the Minotaur Crossbow build

One of the only crossbow builds out there

This build is a unique take on the bow fantasy of the game. Hack The Minotaur offers one of the only crossbows builds in the game with his stamina necro crossbow build. Just a heads up, the reason why there aren’t that many crossbows builds is due to the existence of better and more practical builds out there. But this specific build earns its spot in this list due to its uniqueness in the MMO, one that I’d like to see more as the game progresses.

What this build is good for:

Offering you a unique crossbow build that is not seen much in the game
Almost all of the buff you’ll need is given passively, thus making the rotation easy
Best for grinding CP

Templars aren’t the first class I’d think of when thinking about a bow build. But hey, representation, I guess? The best thing about being a templar is the survivability and sustainability that the class naturally provides. However, due to their jabs skill, you’re not incentivized to go far from the boss, thus negating the major pro that the bow can provide to the build. Regardless, if you’re looking for an ultra-safe archer and you’re just trying to level the bow skill line, this might be worth looking at.

What this build is good for:

Survivability and sustain is unparalleled
There's flexibility when it comes to the range due to the gear sets
The gear sets are relatively easy to grind and replaced depending if you want to do solo or group content

The Nightblade is a very popular DPS class available to all being one of the four original classes the game has to offer, so it should come as no surprise to see the nightblade in a list such as this. This build is a one-bar setup that focuses on poison and disease damage. Don’t expect to top any DPS parses though as this build is more focused on teaching you the fundamentals of the game such as light attack weaving, buff management, and positioning thanks to the simplistic rotation and the synergy of the gear sets and the Nightblade’s passive.

What this build is good for:

Teaching fundamentals of the DPS including light attack weaving, buff management, and positioning
Fulfilling the ranged assassin fantasy

Using the pets of the Sorcerer class, this class offers the playstyle of you sniping your enemies from afar while your pets do all the tanking work. Hence, this allows you to focus on ditching out as much damage as you can even in solo situations. Besides the pet, you also have a lot of magically-themed abilities in the kit which helps in the arcane archer feel.

Having a pet tank for you makes this a viable solo build
Fulfills the arcane archer fantasy with its magically-themed skills

Not only do you have one of the strongest bursts in the game through Subterranean assault but you also get the safety net of bull netch allowing you to grind on end. On a bonus note, you have a cute (?) friendly bear beside you.

What this build is good for:

Amazing survivability and sustainability thanks to its animal companion passives allowing you to efficiently grind for hours
High burst with subterranean assault

Consider this an upgraded version of the other Bowden though as it utilizes both skill bars rather than one. So, feel free to transition to this build once you’re done with your CP grinding ;)

What this build is good for:

Offers great buffs passively through its class skills which can passively heal, add damage, and add survivability to your character
Smooth transition to a late-game bow build for a Warden
Fulfills the nature-archer fantasy typical for a lot of high fantasy setting

What a killer archer

The best thing about the necro? Well, in my opinion, it’s the class that contains a good combination of survivability, sustain, and damage. Among all the classes, you can see how this class was well thought out which makes sense considering that this is the latest class that Zenimax provided. The same is true to its bow build which gives you a combination with the class’ unique corpse mechanics while you snipe them from a distance. Deltia shows this efficiently with his take on the necro archer.

What this build is good for:

Good damage if you master the corpse systems of the class
Flexible positioning with the gear sets
The passives increase your general damage, survivability, and sustain by adding in your class skills
As a necromancer, you’ll have access to very good skills

This assassin-style class would come on top when it comes to bow builds with its perfect blend of passives which give off that sneaky playstyle and the active skills to complement what the bow wants you to do (light attack and stay at range). With the class passively adding to your penetration and additional damage modifiers with how you play this DPS class, you’ll be certain to feel the power when you play the bow with this class.

Incentivizes you learn the fundamentals of the game such as light attack weaving through Relentless focus

There was a time when the MMORPG genre was primarily for playing with your friends. But some people like to play solo. ESO has an amazing combination of playing styles. You can enjoy it with friends or you can experience the story alone.

So if you are done with PVP and dungeons and just want to enjoy the story, you must know which class to chose. The more powerful the more enjoyable.

We will be using The Ring of the Pale Order, a ring so powerful that it disrupts the balance, and drastically changed our list.

5. Stamina Templar

Solo Stamina Templar Build

Let’s start with one of the best Stamina builds in the game, Stamina Templar. This class has great buffs and passives from their skill line, as well as amazing stamina morph abilities.

Biting Jabs is a very powerful spammable ability witch gives you a passive weapon critical bonus and minor protection. It is great for both single target and AOE damage.

They have simple rotation in the game and incredible sustain in Repentance and Restoring Focus. If your health drops, you can borrow a Magicka skill named Extended Ritual which can heal you.

Not just for survivability, Stamina Templar is also unique for its combination of power and approachability.

What Stamina Templar Excels In:

Great buffs and passives.
They got great spammable and DPS abilities.
Great healing from the combination of Magicka and Stamina skills.

Play Stamina Templar If:

You like to play solo.
If you like to buff yourself and debuff your enemies.
You love to spam your opponent.

4. Stamina Warden

Easly the best Stamina build in the game, Stamina Warden makes a great ESO experience. With their countless buffs and debuffs, you will have a hard time choosing the right one.

They have great DPS for single target and AOE. Abilities are really fun, and survivability is top tier. Subterrane Assault is a powerful spammable for its massive burst of AOE damage. Growing Swarm debuffs enemies and Ice Fortress is one of the best armor buffs there is.

Bear Guardian is a good Ultimate if you like to have a companion on your solo journey who can also deal some damage.

You can attack, protect and heal yourself. Truly a well-rounded class.

What Stamina Warden Excels In:

It has good buffs and debuffs.
Great healing.
Great armor.
Great attacking skills.

Play Stamina Warden If:

You like to combine diverse playing styles.
You like to let it all out without worrying about your health.
If you love to have a bear and/or a jellyfish for a companion.

3. Magicka Nightblade

Although not so good in PVP, Magicka Nightblade is one of the best for PVE.

Swallow Soul is an amazing spammable ability, one of the best in the game. It is great for attacking and healing alike. Magicka Nightblade may not have a great heal option in the class skill line, but with the Ring of Pale Order, this class does not have a bad side.

Great AOE damage, extraordinaire burst damage and a powerful execute make Magicka Nightblade a build to go to for solo content.

What Magica Nightblade Excels In:

Mobility.
AOE.
Healing while attacking.
Stealth.

Pick Magica Nightblade if:

You like stealthy gameplay.
If you are more a PVE than a PVP player.
If you like to teleport across the battlefield.

2. Magicka Sorcerer

The runner-up on our list, a class that was at a very top for a long time. Damage dealer and a healer, the Magicka Sorcerer.

Without The Ring of Pale Order, this was the only class that can heal while dealing damage, and that was something else. Now, with this new accessory, other classes can have this ability too, thus, the power scale changes.

You can use The Ring of Pale Order with Magicka Sorcerer as well. So on top of his power, you can double the effect, making him unkillable.

Magicka Sorcerer has the strongest damage shield in the game called Harden Ward. With Ark Conversions you can trade Stamina for Magicka, a must-have skill for this class. And Bound Armor gives you more passive Magicka and resistance.

Magicka Sorcerer has a great single target and AOE damage. The combination of damage and healing is what makes this class number two on our list.

What Magicka Sorcerer Excels In:

AOE damage.
Best healing.
Countless passives.
Great for solo play.

Play Magicka Sorcerer If:

If you like to heal and do damage.
You are more staff than a cold weapon user.
Like to destroy everyone and everything.

1.Magicka Necromancer

Without a doubt the best class for the solo content in the game. They have the most amazing spammable called Richochet Skull. It deals great damage and has a chance to bounce off the enemies twice, dealing clive damage.

Spirit Mander takes 10% of all damage received while healing you. With Underwing Boneyard you can chill enemies and apply AOE major breach. Combine it with the AOE power of Blast Bones and you can calmly defeat a game boss without the interruption of his ( newly dead ) minions.

Necromancer class benefit from some of the strongest passives in the game. They get sustain and recovery for free, bonuses for maximum Health, and bonus critical chance. Pestillian Colossus is one of the strongest Ultimate in the game.

All of this combined with The Ring of the Pale Order, and you will understand why the Magicka Necromancer takes first place on our list.

Passives.
Buffs and debuffs.
Great Ultimate.
Healing.
AOE damage.

Play Magicka Necromancer If:

You enjoy reanimating corpses.
You are good at buff management.

You have been playing Elder Scrolls Online for hours with your favorite Nord, and it was a great experience. But sometimes, you just have a feeling that something isn’t right?

Your character was great at first, and now you can’t even defeat a mini-boss. Is it a lack of skill? Or is it just the class you chose? After this text, you will notice that the Sorcerer Nord is not a good combination after all.

Dragonknight

We are starting with the Dragonknight, a class that excels in using damage-per-second abilities. He has great AOE skills too. But the crowd control abilities are what make Dragonknight such a great choice for tanking.

The best races you can use for Dragonknight are Nords and Imperials. Nords are very hard to kill. And they gain extra Physical and Spell Resistance. Also, the increased Ultimate generation helps them to gain Ultimate faster.

Imperials are the second-best choice for tanking. They get bonuses for Health and Stamina, regain all 3 resources when they deal damage and have cost reduction for all abilities.

Top 2 Best Races for Dragonknight:

Warden

You can summon companions for an attack, use ice to protect yourself, and nature to heal. The Warden is a well-rounded class. And our top races for this important and helpful class are Argonians and Bretons.

From worst to one of the best races, Argonians can become the best Warden there is. They have an increase in healing done. So with the restoration staff, Argonian Warden’s party shouldn’t worry about their Health bar dropping.

Bretons are runner-ups for a Warden but that doesn’t make them bad. They are a great option for healers. Breton Warden has Magicka-based recovery and cost reduction for Magicka abilities. Also with Magicka Resistance, they are a great choice for Magicka build.

Templar

With the power of light, Templar shall eliminate their enemies. Master of efficiency, this class is the easiest to play with. If you are having problems with the endgame, try Stamina Templar and finish the game, the easy way. Templar class is best used with Dark Elf or Khajiit.

Dark Elves have great Intellect and Agility which gives them bonuses in dual-wielding, flame and lava resistance, weapon and spell damage, and base Magicka and Stamina. They have the highest weapon damage in the game while also having a large maximum Stamina pool. Truly a great combination for the Stamina Templar.

Khajiits are jacks of all trade. They have bonuses in pickpocketing, stealth, resource recovery, and Health and Stamina. Khajiits also benefit from higher critical strike chances thanks to their critical damage and critical health bonus which is just what the Templar needs.

Sorcerer

The Sorcerer is in a role of a mage in ESO. It uses elemental abilities at range dealing some incredible damage. The Sorcerer can also become the summoner. They can have two permanent pets at a time with the third one from an Ultimate.
