Well, having the right settings in Apex Legends might get you what you want. Certain settings in Apex Legends completely change how the game plays and your experience with it. From your sensitivity to your video settings. So let’s discuss some of the best settings for Apex Legends on PC.

25. Interact Prompt Style (Compact)

This setting changes the size of pop-ups when moving past a weapon in Apex. Preferably you want this on compact as the Default setting makes these pop-ups large. When you are hot dropping you want to quickly pick up a gun and not be distracted, putting this setting on Compact makes this way easier and gives you an advantage off drop.

24. Button Hints (On)

Though many players turn this off to remove clutter in the game, it's an excellent tool for Zipline jumps and other movement techniques. 23. Crosshair Damage Feedback (Off)

This setting is pointless to have on if anything it just adds more visual clutter to the game. Crosshair Damage Feedback notifies you if your bullet hits an enemy. Stacking is the best version of this setting as it shows the player exactly how much damage they have dealt, so they don't need to figure it out in their head. Both Floating introduce unnecessary clutter to the screen, so keep stacking on for the best advantage.

21. Minimap Rotation (On)

The minimap allows you to keep track where you are on the map. The reason the rotation setting gives you a competitive advantage is that the map turns with what direction you are facing. At the end of the day it's all preference, but having the map on rotation just makes things easier for callouts and knowing where you are for rotations in the game.

20. Reticle Colour

Changing your reticle colour is a huge thing in any game, but even more important in a highly competitive game like Apex Legends.You can make your crosshair certain colors if you can see them better. There's nothing wrong with the default colors, but you'll see a huge difference in your aim and tracking if you can see the crosshair clearly. Colour Blind Mode might sound like a setting you'd just leave alone but it changes the game quite a bit. If you're looking for a brighter experience in Apex, then changing this setting to Tritanopia is the way to go. For those of you out there without any specific colour blindness, this will make things pop out a little more, allowing you to see armour and items better. It gives you better visibility in fights and when looting, you can see why it would give you an advantage.

17. Mouse Sensitivity

If you're having trouble tracking targets and hitting people, then changing your mouse sensitivity might help. Some people like high sensitivity for flicking and moving around smoother, but a lower sensitivity should improve your aim. Though movement and fluidity are the name of the game in Apex, aiming is what's going to win you fights most of the time. We recommend lowering your sensitivity and even changing your DPI settings on your mouse to under One Thousand. This should make your aim better and allow you to beam with an R-99… most of the time that is.

16. ADS Mouse Sensitivity

Again, changing your mouse sensitivity is just better for aiming overall. You might feel like your general movement sensitivity is fine, but are you hitting every shot? Lowering or even heightening your Aim Down Sights Sensitivity might be the play to get better. Both high and low sense works for different types of players. Just mess around with your settings until something sticks. You've got this, it should give you that little bit of an advantage you're looking for.

15. Mapping Shield Cell, Battery, Syringe and Med Kit

We've all had those situations where we misclick a healing item and don't get it off in time. To avoid those situations it's best to map each type of healing item to a specific button. This gives you an advantage in fights as you aren't using that wheel to select which item you want. You can pick a Battery or a Medkit and get back into the fight as soon as possible.

14. Field of View

One of the most controversial settings in gaming history is your Field of View. Console players don't have a choice, but on PC you can make it anything you want. Too high of a FOV messes up your aim, but too low and you can't see enemies to your left or right. For the best advantage in a fight, we recommend 100 FOV. It's the best of both worlds and should give you a good enough advantage in a fight. It's not too high that your aim messes up, and it's not low enough to not see enemies.

V-Sync changes the input lag between you pressing a button and what happens in the game. It also affects screen tearing. We turn this off for the best competitive advantage as we want as little input lag as possible, and the screen tear isn't that bad with it disabled.

12. Nvidia Reflex (Enabled + Boost)

If you have an Nvidia graphics card then turn this on ASAP. It reduces system latency and increases your PC responsiveness. The reason this gives you an advantage is that your inputs will happen smoother and quicker. If enabled your pc will also run smoother, providing a better experience overall. You don't want to be stuttering in the middle of a fight.

11. Texture Streaming Budget (Low for better FPS)

Texture streaming budget is the amount of VRAM your pc gives to Apex to render textures on the map and players. Putting this lower will make the game look worse, but run better and at a higher FPS. Despite many players wanting a good-looking game, having a smoother and higher frame rate is what's gonna give you that advantage you need in Apex. Every small advantage helps, so at the loss of the game looking nice you're gonna get better.

10. Aspect Ratio (16:10)

Similar to your FOV, your aspect ratio plays into how much of the game you can see. For the best competitive advantage we recommend 16:10, but honestly, it depends on your monitor. If you want the best experience but still want to be able to see things better, then 16:10 should work.

9. Anti-Aliasing (Off)

Anti-aliasing changes how smooth textures look in-game. Turning this off will make things look more jagged, but drastically decreases the load on your PC., therefore, giving you higher FPS and making the game smoother. It's another downside but we recommend turning it off to get the best gaming experience in a game like Apex Legends.

8. Model Detail and Effects Detail (Low)

This one's self-explanatory. Lowering the model detail and effects detail will make the game look worse but makes the game run smoother. Giving you a higher FPS and allowing you to be able to play to the fullest. Low or Medium is the best but if you've got a beast of a PC, then put it at whatever doesn't lower your FPS as much. This all depends on the player, but the lowest setting is the best no matter your PC’s specs.

7. Master Volume

Volume in Apex is a huge issue as sometimes sounds don't play or are too quiet. We recommend having your Master Volume relatively high so you can hear everything you can in gun fights and in ranked. It gives you the best competitive advantage we can get concerning Audio in Apex Legends. Let's hope they fix the audio bugs to make the experience better overall.

6. Mapping Guns to specific keys

Just like mapping your healing items to specific keys, mapping both of your guns to specific keys will remove the fumbling nature of pulling out the correct gun. We recommend using 1 and 2 as your gun keys but things like F and C work great as well. As long as you can pull out the specific gun you want, then you should have a competitive advantage most of the time.

5. Best Refresh Rate FPS

Depending on your pc specifications, changing your refresh rate makes Apex run better. For this example let's say you have a medium-tier PC with a 1080p monitor. Your pc doesn't need to work as hard due to your resolution being 1080p, so you can go for 165 fps if you can set it. Changing your refresh rate depends on the specs of your pc and how well the game is running with the other settings we've spoken about. Find the best middle ground and you'll have a good advantage over the competition with fluctuating and poor frame rates.

4. Best Refresh Rate for movement techniques

Now we have something a little more specific. If your PC is a beast and you can use any refresh rate available, then we have more options. In Apex, movement techniques like Super Gliding become harder to perform the higher FPS you have. Therefore if you want the best advantage possible, we recommend having 185 or 240 FPS for these techniques. Any higher and it's gonna be a little too inconsistent to hit them when you need to.

3. Tap Strafing with the mouse wheel

One of the best settings you can do is mapping your W key to the scroll wheel for tap strafing. If you want the best advantage in Apex possible, doing this should make your strafes even better. It's like mashing the W key without actually having to do it.

2. Super Gliding with mouse wheel

With configuration files in Steam’s settings, we can map certain inputs where we usually can't in-game. Creating a super gliding configuration for your scroll wheel up or down makes them a whole lot easier, giving you a huge advantage in gunfights if you can pull them off.

If you're getting lower FPS than you think you should be, make sure you're using Full Screen and not Windowed Borderless. fullscreen should give you higher FPS as it's not running in the background. 15. Supersonic (G7-Scout)

Whilst the G7-Scout might not be the best gun in Apex Legends, it's easily one of the most fun. It's fantastic at racking up high-kill games and just a blast to use even in season 16. Because of how rough the gun can be without sights, the Supersonic skin might just be the best-looking one for it.

The iron sights on this skin are fantastic, super clear and easy to use. The skin itself is a clean and smooth white with some grey, black and red accents. The skin also sports Rampart’s signature “R” sign on the front of the gun, just to show she’s modded it to perfection. Overall, if you love clean skins with not much flair going on, then the Supersonic is for you.

How to get the Supersonic: The Supersonic was the season 6 battle pass reactive skin reward for tier 100. This was eight dollars at the time, but can sadly no longer be obtained. A recolour might eventually come into the store in a future update, but for now, you can't get access to it.

14. Polished Perfection (Prowler)

Out of all the guns in Apex Legends, The Prowler might have the worst iron sights. Yeah, guns like the R-99 and Wingman might be bad, but the Prowler comes out on top in our eyes. So, that's one of the reasons why the Polished Perfection Prowler skin is amazing.

The iron sights on this skin are clean as you can get them, making shots way easier to pull off. This skin is also super sleek and slim, making for a less bulky view model in a match. The gold body with blue accents makes this skin stand out, and it's gonna be a great skin to pick up for sure.

How to get the Polished Perfection: The Polished Perfection Prowler SMG skin was only available during Season 7 of Apex Legends. This skin was the free reward for purchasing the Battle pass that season, making it an exclusive skin. Though Respawn has changed their minds on recent Battlepass exclusivity, the Polished Perfection isn't coming back. A recolour might be released in the future, but sadly you can no longer get this $10 skin.

13. Red Rocket (Wingman)

The wingman is easily one of the most powerful weapons in all of Apex Legends, but that power comes at a cost for newer players. The iron sights on the Wingman are some of the worst in the game. They Are bulky, have way too much in your way, and just get frustrating at a point. Most players run a 1x sight on the wingman, but what if you don't find one-off drop?

That's where the Red Rocket and its variants come into play. These skins for the wingman have perfect insights and make using the gun a whole lot easier. Red Rocket is the best looking out of the lot as well. The metallic red etching throughout, the hints of turquoise. God, it's just beautiful to look at.

How to get the Red Rocket: The Red Rocket Wingman skin is a free recolour available in the game. Whilst it's not available all of the time, it does rotate in the shop every so often, so keep an eye out. If you can't get the red rocket, then its normal variants will do just fine as well. It costs 6500 legend coins when it comes around.

12. The Galvaniser (Alternator)

The Galvaniser is the perfect alternator skin in our eyes. It's clean, sleek and a great gun to look at. The alternator is a slim gun already, with a great base model. However, the Galvaniser improves it by adding neon rails to the gun and a Tron-like vibe to it.

Out of any alternator skin readily available in the game, the Galvaniser is our pick. I mean, just look at this thing. It's amazing to look at. The cross-hatched white texture along the side, thin neon orange rails and black accents to boot.

How to get The Galvaniser: Luckily, The Galvaniser is a skin obtainable in the game at all times. You can get it from an Apex pack, purchase it for 1200 crafting materials, or even purchase it for 1800 Apex coins when it appears in the store.

11. The Last Spartan (R-301)

The R-301 is the smoothest gun in all of Apex Legends to use. From drop, all the way into the final circle, the R-301 is a dream to use. The base iron sights are fantastic, but there's one thing missing. The base gun doesn't exactly look fire-enough for us.

That's why we've chosen The Last Spartan. There is a myriad of R-301 skins, but nothing as easy to obtain and as badass-looking as The Last Spartan. The 301 has some fantastic skins under its belt, but this badass, chain-wrapped and rustic-looking firearm is our choice.

How to get The Last Spartan: Just like the Alternator we just spoke about, The Last Spartan R-301 can be crafted in-game using 1200 crafting materials, found in Apex packs or just obtained from the store whenever it rotates in for 1800 coins.

10. The Polarizer (Havoc)

Now onto one of the most hit-or-miss guns in Apex. Some love the Havoc, some hate it and honestly, we're in the middle. It's a fantastic-looking gun, to say the least though, as energy is constantly coming out of the barrel and towards the back of the rifle.

The Havoc has some pretty fantastic skins, but the simpler the better on this gun. Its base model is already a banger, so why mess with it? That's why we think The Polarizer Havoc is the best skin for it. Its oriental design with copper trim throughout. All on a black backplate with blue energy to make it pop even more.

How to get The Polarizer: This is actually a recolour, similar to the Red Rocket Wingman skin from earlier in the list. This means that you can online craft the skin whenever it rotates into the shop for 6500 legend tokens.

9. Cardiac Assault (Hemlock)

Whilst the Hemlock might be in the care package loot pool during season 16, this gun still deserves a skin. The Hemlock is another hit-or-miss gun in Apex, but honestly, this skin makes up for it. Over the years, the Hemlock has had some decent skins, but the Cardiac Assault might just be the best. Its deep red and gunmetal silver design stands out on certain characters like Bloodhound.

The beating heart in the back is similar to the reactive spitfire skin from a few seasons back. Overall the skin is just fantastic and well worth your crafting materials. Speaking of.

How to get the Cardiac Assault: This skin is available to every player at any time. You can use your crafting materials earned from the battle pass and apex packs to grab this skin in the skins menu whenever you want. It was from the Halloween Thematic event a few years back, meaning it's available for everyone, all the time. Currently, it should cost 1200 crafting materials.

8. Fatal Injection (Volt)

One of the most used guns in Apex Legends has to be the Volt SMG. It's high power and low recoil make it fantastic in any player's hands. Unlike many guns in Apex, the Volt already has fantastic iron sights at the base, so that doesn't play into our pick for this skin.

That's actually great though, as we have every Volt skin to choose from. Out of the bunch though, the Fatal Injection has to be the best. This Battlepass skin has a sleek metallic red design with gold accents throughout. Gleaming gunmetal silver joins, and even moving spider arms after each kill.

How to get the Fatal Injection: This skin sadly isn't available anymore as it was only available in the season 10 battle pass as the tier 100 reward skin. That does make this skin reactive, so it could come back as a paid recolour in the near future.

7. Wymborn (CAR)

The CAR has one of the fastest time to kill in Apex Legends, even after its many nerfs. It's also become one of the most used guns in the game since its release with Ash a few seasons ago. Ever since its release, the gun has received some fantastic skins, but the Wymborn might just be the best.

This skin is one of a kind in Apex, as the gun has a dragon throughout it. It's not just got dragon scales on the sides, no, the gun has a purple and orange dragon flowing throughout the gun. Now that's sick.

How to get the Wymborn: Sadly, the Wymborn skin is now unavailable, as it was only available during season 13’s battle pass as the free first reward for purchasing it. However, after season 11, Respawn made a change to the system, meaning skins in the Battle Pass are no longer exclusive. So, later down the line, you might just be able to get this skin.

6. Dragon’s Spine (Devotion)

Whilst the Devotion might not be one of the best guns in the game, it deserves a nice skin, right? Yeah, it's kind of bad without the turbocharger, and mid with it equipped, it's still a cool-looking gun that deserves some love okay. Our pick is the Dragon’s Spine skin.

It's heavily inspired by the mecha anime Neon Genesis Evangelion as the purple, green and gold colour scheme directly looks like Eva 1 from the anime. This mecha-inspired skin is a fantastic addition to your loadout if you have it.

How to get the Dragon’s Spine: This skin was available in the season 9 battle pass as the final tier 110 reward. This means that it's no longer available, but could come back similar to previous reactive skins like the peacekeeper. It was available for only $10 from the Battle Pass.

5. Tombstick (Mastiff)

We couldn't finish off this list without the Mastiff right? It's one of the most iconic guns in the game, especially if you played during the first few seasons. Few, remember the care package version. That was rough. Either way, over the years we've seen some great skins for this shotty, but the Tombstick is the best by far.

This sleek, gold-trimmed shotgun is perfect for any sweaty wraith main looking to bounce around with this beast of a shotty. The almost ivory look all throughout this design really makes the blue barrel energy pop even more. It's just beautiful, and the wood trimmings are the cherry on top.

How to get the Tombstick: This was available during the Lost Treasures collection event as a free prize tracker item. Sadly this means you can no longer get this skin, but it might come back in the future as a recolour. Ultimately this item was free though, so that's a nice change from the current gaming trend of $20 skins.

4. Revolutionary (R-99)

Oh boy, now we’re onto some bangers. The skins we’ve spoken about in today’s list have nothing on these last 4. We all know how important iron sights are to gameplay right? Many people forget about how important they are to early engagements, but once you start using a good iron-sighted skin, this changes.

The R-99 is a skin with poor sights at the base, but the Revolutionary changes that. Not only is this skin amazing with its carbon fibre black chassis, and green energy that moves as you get kills, it's got fantastic iron sights. Fights have never been better with a gun like the R-99 and a skin like this on top of it.

How to get the Revolutionary: Well, sadly this skin is no longer available as it was the final battle pass reward back in season 7. This gun could come back in a future event as a recolour, but other than that it's not available for $10 anymore.

3. Northern Lights (Peacekeeper)

We had to have at least one Peacekeeper skin on this list, and Northern Lights is the best by far. Northern Lights is a glowing green peacekeeper skin that sports fantastic iron sights as well. The base PK has thick sights, but the Northern Lights make this thinner and better to use overall.

This is a simple, yet fantastic recolour of The Superstar, available in the game. The skin even seems like it moves due to the glowing effect on the lights, how amazing is that?.

How to get the Northern Lights: The Northern Lights is a rotating shop recolour of the Superstar, meaning it's just a palette swap. If you really want the iron sights, get The Superstar, but for the green Northern Lights, it's gonna set you back 6500 legend coins the next time it's in the store.

2. Heat Sink (Flatline)

One of the most controversial skins in Apex Legends has always been the Heat Sink Flatline. The Flatline is one of the most powerful guns in the game, but its base iron sights are atrocious.

During the early years of apex legends, this skin was released and changed everything. It was the first “Pay 2 Win” Skin in apex legends and it's been infamous ever since. Regardless of its heritage, this skin looks phenomenal.

The gold and black body, with a cool glowing blue interior, really make this thing pop. What makes it better is the reactivity from getting kills, and opening up the barrel in the centre to show even more eye-popping blue. What an amazing skin.

How to get the Heat Sink: Just like many skins on today’s list, the Heat Sink Flatline was a battle pass reward for completing it. This means it's no longer available but could be coming back in the near future as a recolour. For almost a year now, a recolour of this skin has been sat in the game files, so who knows, maybe we will see it in the shop one day.

1. Zero Point (R-99)

Finally, the best skin in apex legends that looks freakin awesome has to be the infamous Zero Point R-99 skin. We’ve of course already spoken about a great R-99 skin, but this is better. It's got a really simple white and black design, but that's what makes it special. The design is just simple, sleek and amazing to look at. What makes this gun the best though are its iron sights.

This gun has the best iron sights on any R-99 skin, and possibly in the entire game. They're super clean and basically have a red dot built into them. This skin is so controversial that many people wanted it changed for the longest time. Whilst nothing really happened in this regard, it still stands as the best skin in the game in our eyes.

How to get the Zero Point: I guess it's a trend in Apex of having the best skins never be able to return, as that's the case for the Zero Point. This was available back in season 4 as the free purchase battle pass reward. Yeah, it wasn't even tier 100 or anything, it was that easy to get. Hopefully, we get a widely available recolour of this skin in the near future, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Season 16 of Apex Legends completely changed everything due to the introduction of class-specific abilities. Every legend was placed into a specific category with a unique passive ability. This shook up the meta more than we ever thought it would, so here is the list of the Top Ten Best Legends in Apex Legends.

Number 10. Pathfinder

Pathfinder is a run-and-gun type legend that can get him and his team around the map insanely quickly. He was already good at this before season 16, but with the addition of his Skirmisher passive paired with his own passive, Pathfinder can now get his ultimate cooldown fully back after scanning a care package. This means that Pathy can place his zip down, scan a care package and get it right back. His rotations are insane, which is why he is on this list. With his tactical ability,

Pathfinder can get in and out of a fight with ease. Find yourself away from your team and need to join a fight? Well, just use his tactical. Did you just get caught out by a full team whilst away from your own? Use the tactical to get away.

He is so versatile and is a great first legend to pick up if you want to get more competitive in Apex Legends. The only downside about Pathfinder nowadays is his absurdly huge hitbox. When compared to other legends on this list, and in the game as a whole.

Pathfinder is a walking fridge. It's really easy to hit shots against him, meaning if you aren't good enough you're gonna go down… a lot. Other than that Pathfinder is a fantastic pick for any player looking to get better at the game.

What makes Pathfinder great?

He has great rotational value for his team, allowing them to get around the map quicker and safer than characters like Octane.
The quick ultimate cooldown allows for quicker plays for himself and his teammates, meaning quicker fights for less third-party potential.
Pathfinder is the ultimate third-party legend. He can get his team in and out of an opposing battle, granting more RP and KP for kills in a match.

Number 9. Loba

Loba is easily the best Support legend out of the bunch. Yeah Lifeline and Newcastle are fantastic for their revive ability and Gibraltar is great for defence, but Loba is even better. She has the craftable respawn banner perks of the other three Support legends, she has her own way of escaping fights and her ultimate is game-changing.

Loba’s ultimate allows her to place a shop down for her and her teammates. This shop has access to all loot in a specific area. That means guns, attachments, meds, ammo and most importantly enemy death boxes.

Loba is the ultimate fast looter and allows your team to loot up quickly and get into a fight ASAP. She becomes almost essential when getting into higher-tier lobbies of ranked, making her one of the best legends in the game for sure.

What makes Loba great?

The ability to quickly loot off drop and get into a fight ASAP.
Shield swapping is super easy with Loba’s ultimate as you never run out of shields in the final few circles.
Her tactical is fantastic for getting out of a sticky situation.
Loba’s ultimate is on such a short cooldown so you can get as much loot as you want, when you want.

Number 8. Wattson

Wattson, an underrated pick in ranked and competitive game modes (Pictured)

Unlike Loba, Wattson isn't the best legend in her class. But that doesn't stop her from being one of the best picks if you're looking to play on the backfoot in Apex Legends. She might not be able to shred through teams like Rampart, Gas corridors like Caustic or Wall off enemies like Catalyst, but Wattson still has some tricks up her sleeve.

Just like other Controller legends, she has access to beacons around each map that show the next ring location. This is fantastic for rotational plays with your team or just knowing where to set up next.

Wattson excels with higher-skilled players as her fences can do some nasty work when used correctly. For normal players, she can create space in fights or lock down a building now and then. You might occasionally get a trigger on your fences, stunning the opponent which allows you and your team to sweep in and kill them.

Higher skilled players can use her fences to trap opponents on doors, set up door tricks to catch opponents off guard or even use them in a fight to get an easy kill. She is a high-skill cap legend, but either way, she's one of the best.

What makes Wattson great?

Her fences create some necessary space when needed in gun fights.
If an enemy does get stunned she and her team basically get a free kill.
Her passive shield regen is great when you are out of meds
She has a small hitbox, meaning it's harder to hit her.
Overall she's great in defensive situations and can turn around a fight when piloted by a skilled player.

Number 7. Horizon

Horizon is a movement player's dream. Ever since she launched back in Season 7, she has been fantastic. Though she has received a series of nerfs over her time in the Apex Games, Horizon is still a top pick, especially in this most recent metagame. Her passive allows for “soft landings”, basically this removes fall stun from Horizon.

This allows her to move freely around the map and push fights with ease. Her passive works perfectly with her tactical, which is a gravity lift. This launches anyone who stands on it into the sky. Horizon can shoot relatively well on this lift, but nowhere near as well as she once could.

Her strafe speed is increased as well, allowing her to avoid some shots whilst she uses it. The real kicker of Horizon though is her ultimate. She throws a Black Hole device that sucks enemies towards it. This can be used to move enemies or trap them with grenade spam. Horizon is also a skirmisher legend, meaning she can scan care packages to see what is inside of them. Overall she is just a super versatile legend in any situation and you can't go wrong playing her.

What makes Horizon?

Her soft fall passive allows for more aggressive plays that revolve around dropping from a height.
The gravity lift is fantastic for pushing other teams and also escaping sticky situations.
Horizon has a thin hitbox, allowing her to dodge more shots than other bigger legends.
Her ultimate can change a fight with ease, especially if your team coordinates grenade throws.
The fact that she can use an R-99 on her gravity lift and have no real downside is fantastic for instant beams in a gunfight.

Number 6. Caustic

The Toxic Trapper, Caustic is fantastic for locking down buildings in competitive situations (Pictured)

Caustic, the old smelly boy. He is absolutely fantastic for holding space and keeping a building under lock and key. Despite having a large hitbox, Caustic’s passive allows him to take less damage from incoming shots, meaning he can survive more than you think.

His passive also allows him to see through his own gas effects, which come from his ultimate and tactical. His tactical is a gas trap, you can place many of these around the map. They trigger when an enemy gets close, but can also be shot to prematurely set them off. Caustic’s gas slows targets, damages them slowly, messes up their vision and also panics players.

His ultimate does the same thing, but instead, it's a gas grenade that does more damage. Being a Controller legend also means that he can scan beacons to see the next ring. Caustic is fantastic at holding down any building on the map and definitely should be respected, even if his mere presence annoys some players.

What makes Caustic great?

Caustic can lock down space with ease, deterring opponents from pushing your team.
His fortified passive stops his massive hitbox from hindering him, meaning people don't realise how little damage he has actually taken in a fight.
The ability to see through his own gas is fantastic in a gunfight, allowing him to basically wallhack.
His gas might have slow and little damage, but many players don't realise how much damage they have actually taken and might get caught out.

Number 5. Bangalore

Probably the second-best run and gun legend in the game is Bangalore. She is only beaten out by one character we will get onto later on the list, but that doesn’t mean she doesn't pack a punch. Bang is absolutely insane in the right hands, and doesn't actually take a lot of skill to be good at. Her tactical ability allows her to fire smoke grenades onto the battlefield.

This obscures view and allows her to play tactically even in the most hectic of fights. Bangalore’s passive ability gives her a speed boost whenever she is shot or shot near. This is insane for getting into or away from gun fights, making her a great run and gun legend.

Her ultimate is the cherry on top of her amazing kit, allowing her to throw a rolling thunder. This moves forward from where the grenade lands, and stuns / damages enemies hit by it. Yeah, it is not the best ultimate ever but fits her playstyle perfectly.

Bangalore is also an assault legend, meaning she can carry extra ammo per inventory slot and also open special loot bins around the map. Here’s the kicker though, these bins almost guarantee you a Digital Threat sight. This can be used on SMGs, Pistols and Shotguns to highlight enemies. Pair this with her smoke and you basically have wallhacks in a gunfight, she is just a joy to play.

What makes Bangalore great?

The ability to get insane loot from Assault bins is great for getting into a fight quickly.
Her smoke makes for a great escape from fights and provides cover during distanced based engagements.
Bang’s passive is fantastic if you're caught off guard by an enemy team.
Her ultimate is a get off me button, allowing for her and her team to escape for free.

Number 4. Valkyrie

The best rotational character in the game is here, The Queen of the Skies Valkyrie. Valk is insane in the right team composition, which is why she stands out so much in professional play. Ever since she was released, Valk has been a mainstay in ranked, pro league and ALGS. Her ultimate ability allows her and her entire team to use a redeploy tower anywhere she wants.

It's amazing for rotations but gets better with her passive abilities. Valk has some of the best passives in the entire game. She can fly for one, using fuel every time she does so. This allows her to reposition mid-fight and get a better angle when needed.

She has the skirmisher passive so she can see what is inside care packages. Valkyrie also scans enemies when she is flying in her ultimate, falling from the drop ship or redeploying from a tower. This allows her and her entire team to see where enemies are and scout them out. This paired with her ultimate is game-breaking and is the reason why professional players use her so much.

All of this makes her insane, and we haven't even spoken about her tactical yet. Valk’s tactical ability sends out missiles that damage and stun targets hit by it. It's not the greatest thing in the world, but it is good enough.

What makes Valkyrie great?

Her rotational capabilities make her a must-pick on any map and in any meta.
She can move her team around the map with ease, whilst seeing where any enemies are.
Her flight passive lets her move around situations better than most legends, setting her up for better solo plays.
Her tactical is fantastic in the right situations and basically guarantees a kill for professional players if someone gets stunned.
She has a relatively small hitbox, meaning she gets his less as well.

Number 3. Wraith

Wraith is every sweaty player's dream. She has become the face of Apex Legends and was the top most-picked character for a reason. Though to many she actually isn't as good as people made her out to be, with some recent buffs Wraith has become a competitive pick.

Wraith can “Phase” with her tactical ability. After a short charge-up animation, Wraith goes into the void, going invulnerable for the duration. This makes her fantastic for getting out of a sticky situation and also compensating for a positioning mistake. It also makes her amazing for players who just want to run into every fight and kill as many people as possible.

She is a sweaty player's favourite pick, and a casual’s nightmare. Her ultimate is a portal she can place and leave an exit in another location. Wraith and anyone else can travel back and forth through it, making you invulnerable whilst inside. With her recent buff as well,

Wraith now gets a speed boost the longer she holds her portal. This allows her to be a decent rotational legend as well. Having the skirmisher passive also lets wraith scan care packages, which is definitely better than her none existent specific passive. Wraith gets voice lines when someone looks at her or is nearby. It's pretty bad, but everything else in this legend’s kit makes up for it.

What makes Wraith great?

Her tactical allows for positioning mistakes to happen without any real drawback.
Wraiths ultimate is fantastic for rotations or having a way in and out of a fight.
Her small hitbox is insane for dodging bullets.
Her speed boost in her ultimate allows for Wraiths to basically just disappear when they are running away, letting her and her team escape with relative ease.

Number 2. Catalyst

Now we have the two biggest menaces of Apex Legends right now. The dream team, the main duo, the most broken thing to ever release in Apex. One half of this insane combination is the most recent legend to release, Catalyst. Originally when Catalyst was released, they weren't all too great. People just didn't like them that much, but a combination with Seer was recently discovered.

Catalyst is a legend meant to create space and lockdown buildings. Their tactical allows her to place ferrofluid traps down. These damage enemies who walk over them, make a lot of noise and can be used to block off areas. Their passive also allows her to use this fluid on doors to make them harder to break down, well, unless you're Rampart with a charge-up Sheila that is. They are a controller legend, meaning she can scan beacons to see the next ring, fantastic if you're setting up for a fight.

Finally, the biggest thing about Catalyst is of course its wall. This wall stops people from scanning through it. Meaning Crypto drones, Bloodhound Scans and Maggie pings. It also slows people who walk through it, obscuring their vision. The thing is, with the most recent meta, people have discovered that Seer’s ultimate can still mark people through it.

So, if you throw down a Catalyst wall, then Seer Ult, you have wall hacks whilst your opponents can't do anything. This combination is game-breaking and will most likely be changed during next season. Still, in the meantime, this makes Catalyst the second-best legend in the entire game.

What makes Catalyst great?

Her wall creates so much space in the final few circles it's insane. You can control everyone in the area and split up teams with ease.
Her tactical is great for locking down a building, especially when paired with her passive.
Because of the audio issues in Apex, her tactical messes with people’s audio. This means that when it's down, people can only hear that. Letting your footsteps go unheard.
She has a decently small hitbox, meaning she usually dodges more bullets.
Finally, her Ultimate is fantastic for disabling enemies, meaning it's great for pushing off of.

Number 1. Seer

Now we have the best legend in the game, and it's not a competition. Seer has basically everything you could want in a legend. He has a fantastic tactical ability, allowing him to stop people from reviving and healing whilst also marking them for his team. His passive allows him to sense people through walls and follow them with ease.

Seer’s ultimate ability shows where everyone is in a certain area, allowing him and his team to basically have wall hacks. On top of all of this, his Hitbox is pretty thin as well. There isn't much more to say about Seer than we already have, especially with his Catalyst pairing.

He might not have any movement abilities, but his recon set-up is absolutely game-breaking. Ever since he was released, Seer has been a menace and a must-pick for Ranked and competitive play. Even after his many nerfs, Seer is still the best legend in the game by far for Ranked play.

What makes Seer great?

This guy gives his entire team wallhacks, and for a good amount of time as well.
Seer can stop teams from healing, and reviving and puts the pressure on them all with his tactical.
His combination with Catalyst is absolutely game-breaking.
In ranked play and competitive situations, alongside communication with his team Seer is a beast. He can give his team so much information it is quite worrying for the health of the game.

Remaking a classic has become a modern trend in this generation of films, with some releases being better than others, and some definitely don’t even deserve to receive one to begin with. However, today, we will take a look at 25 horror films that would definitely benefit from the touch of contemporary tropes, in one way or another.

25. Black Christmas (2019)

The 2nd remake of the 1974 classic of the same name, Black Christmas follows a group of female students who are stalked by a stranger during their Christmas break. That is until the young sorority pledges discover that the killer is part of an underground college conspiracy.

2019’s Black Christmas is already a remake of a proto-slasher classic of the same name from 1974, which also received another remake in 2006. The first remake wasn’t anything great however, it is undeniably gorgeous and incredibly brutal, the 2019 remake however is something of a disgrace that tarnishes the Black Christmas name.

Instead of remaking the classic, the 2019 film instead took a completely different approach in almost every single way, delivering us a film that’s unrecognizable from its predecessor. Remaking this remake would give the film a chance to improve upon its hamfisted message and lackluster kills.

24. Scary Movie (2000)

A film that parodies Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, it tells its story a year after disposing of the body of a man they accidentally killed, a group of dumb teenagers is stalked by a bumbling serial killer.

Okay, Scary Movie may not be an actual horror film but it does take the concept of the genre to create one of the most hilarious satirical takes of the tropes seen in the genre. After the massive releases of parody films in the late 2000s to early 2010s, parody films have died out and it would be incredible to see the Scary Movie franchise make a resurgence and parodies many of the modern classics of today.

23. Intruder (1989)

The overnight stock crew of a local supermarket finds themselves being stalked and slashed by a mysterious maniac.

Intruder packs in entertainment from start to finish, featuring a single location with so much bloody and creative kills to witness. The film’s story is ever more relevant today so remaking it would simply be a matter of creativity.

22. Chopping Mall (1986)

Eight teenagers get trapped in a shopping center after hours and three murderous security robots chase them.

No other film would greatly benefit from a modern remake than Chopping Mall. With such a ludicrous story that of a killer robot, you’d think the people from Hollywood would have remade this film by now. Remaking it with modern technology sounds simply perfect, considering the era that we are in.

21. Alice Sweet Alice (1976)

In 1961, a divorced Catholic couple's life is turned upside-down when one of their two adolescent daughters is suspected of her younger sister's brutal murder during her First Holy Communion and a series of subsequent stabbings.

Alice Sweet Alice has to be one of the creepiest proto-slasher films that you could ever witness. It's a film that tries to make your skin tingle from start to finish with its many eerie and uncomfortable scenes to watch. Remaking the film would probably be a bit controversial today however with the proper direction, we might just see a modern classic.

20. Dolls (1987)

A group of people stop by a mansion during a storm and discover two magical toy makers and their haunted collection of dolls.

Dolls is a chilling horror film that packs in tons of personality. Gluing you into your seat as you witness many of its outlandish murderous dolls kill in similarly outlandish fashion. With a modern remake, the scares that come from its many creepy-looking dolls could be more intensified, along with combining its child-like wonder to create one of the scariest horror movies for children to date.

19. Phenomena (1985)

A young girl, with an amazing ability to communicate with insects, is transferred to an exclusive Swiss boarding school, where her unusual capability might help solve a string of murders.

Phenomena celebrate its absurdity by being bizarre, hypnotic, and bloody. Delivering an experience like no other. It’s one of the most unique films that the genre has ever seen and remaking it would be a large task however it may just pay off and craft us one of the best horror films to date.

18. House (1985)

A Vietnam vet turned horror novelist returns to his boyhood home to find that it has been invaded by ghosts and ghouls.

Get ready for some thrills, chills, and a little bit of wacky humor in House. An incredible film that excellently combines horror with comedy to craft one of the most entertaining horror films that time had forgotten.

Its remake doesn’t necessarily have to change its absurd story to fit in with the modern era but it just has to improve the film’s visual effects to make it an instant classic. It’s a film filled with so many outlandish moments that simply describing the film’s charm is not enough.

17. Curtains (1983)

Entering an asylum to prepare for a movie role, a young woman is double-crossed and left behind by her director. With six new starlets auditioning for her role at a remote mansion, a masked murderer seeks revenge.

Everything about 1983’s Curtains screams unique. From its story, setting, and characters, to even scares. And seeing all of these amazing qualities be updated with contemporary flair would simply be spectacular. I highly recommend watching the original first before you get hyped.

16. Tourist Trap (1979)

A group of stranded teenagers falls prey to the demented owner of a roadside museum and his army of evil mannequins.

Tourist Trap is one of the most bizarre horror films that time forgot. It engages its audience with many nightmare fuel moments like with the many uncomfortable scenes with the moving mannequins or the basement scene. And with a unique killer presence and a gritty atmosphere reminiscent of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Tourist Trap is a surefire cult classic.

A modern remake would not only shed light on the forgotten film and bring it the audience that it deserves but its horrors would also be more polished, resulting in a more terrifying film in the process.

15. April Fools Day (1986)

Nine college students staying at a friend's remote island mansion begin to fall victim to an unseen murderer over the April Fool's Day weekend, but nothing is as it seems.

April Fools Day is one of those forgotten slasher films of the 80s with a really innovative approach to the sub-genre. Packing in a delightful cast of characters and a mystery with so many twists and turns. The film did receive its own remake back in 2008, though it has nothing to resemble it from its predecessor.

The film would greatly benefit from a modern remake, telling the same story but with a more zanier approach to its plot and characters. It would be a remake that’s worth watching in a heartbeat.

14. Night of the Creeps (1986)

After two fraternity pledges find a frozen body, they decide to use it to pull a prank which unleashes slug-like creatures upon the campus.

Cheesy, terrifying, and hilarious are just some of the words to describe this insane classic horror film from the 80s. From aliens, and zombies, to even ghosts, this film has it all, and everything about it still holds up perfectly to this day, however, receiving a modern interpretation of its story would simply be delightful for every horror fan.

13. The Burning (1981)

A former summer camp caretaker, horribly burned from a prank gone wrong, lurks around an upstate New York summer camp bent on killing the teenagers responsible for his disfigurement.

Awesome kills aplenty is what The Burning delivered back in 1981. Along with a truly terrifying slasher and a refreshing summer camp setting that rivals that of Friday the 13th’s Camp Crystal Lake. With a modern remake, all of this could be exemplified, and then some to deliver one of the most intense slasher films that we may just see.

12. Sleepaway Camp (1983)

Angela Baker, a shy, traumatized young girl, is sent to summer camp with her cousin. Shortly after her arrival, anyone with sinister or less-than-honorable intentions toward her gets their comeuppance.

Many of the slasher classics of the 80s, even those that were forgotten, had found their way to receive a remake, and it's suspicious how this infamous 80s classic never even received one, and it badly needs one. With a likable protagonist, memorable kills, and an even more memorable ending, Sleepaway Camp has all the recipes for an unforgettable remake.

11. Demons (1985)

A group of random people is invited to a screening of a mysterious movie, only to find themselves trapped in the theater with ravenous demons.

Lamberto Bava’s stylish demonic classic is a riveting horror packed with so many red herrings, bloody kills, and an alluring setting that won’t fail to hypnotize you. With a remake, its flaws, which are the needless sub-plots with the punk group, could be ironed out to deliver us one of the most engaging demonic horror films to date.

10. Event Horizon (1997)

It is the year 2047. Seven years have passed since the mysterious disappearance of Event Horizon, a spaceship that was sent to explore the outer limits of our solar system. Now, it is the time for a rescue mission that will find the ship and bring back the survivors; if any…

The film that brought pure hell experience to space, Event Horizon is a film like no other. And what else could further exemplify this experience other than remaking the film with better visuals and no restrictions. Just imagine being able to witness all of the horrors, most notably the infamous orgy scene, that its original had left out.

9. Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982)

Kids all over America want Silver Shamrock masks for Halloween. Doctor Daniel Challis seeks to uncover a plot by Silver Shamrock owner Conal Cochran.

Season of the Witch may be considered as the black sheep of the franchise but it does boast a strong and riveting story that can stand on its own, as well as a shockingly grim ending that will stick with you for quite a while. The Halloween movies that focus on Michael Myers have received a multitude of sequels, remakes, and reboots, but now is the perfect time to remake the franchise’s forgotten entry.

8. House (1977)

Not to be confused with the 1985 film of the same name, 1977’s House follows a schoolgirl and six of her classmates who traveled to her aunt's country home, which turns out to be haunted.

Okay, we all know nothing can ever replicate Japan’s bizarre approach to its horror films but a remake of this hilarious cult classic is definitely something that we deserve to see even if it may not be able to live up to its predecessor.

House is filled with many charming characters despite their one-dimensional nature, but its pure standout trait would be its quirky death scenes from being eaten by a piano to being abruptly turned into a skeleton. Seeing these death scenes redone with modern visuals would be out of this world.

7. Battle Royale (2000)

In the future, the Japanese government captures a class of ninth-grade students and forces them to kill each other under the revolutionary "Battle Royale" act.

With such a crazy premise, you might think that an American remake had already got its hands on it, but for some reason, we still haven’t seen a single sign of it yet. Though while The Hunger Games exists, a film that’s almost a shot-for-shot remake of Battle Royale, a more approach to horror would greatly benefit its over-the-top premise.

6. Dead Alive (1992)

A young man's mother is bitten by a Sumatran rat-monkey. She gets sick and dies, at which time she comes back to life, killing and eating dogs, nurses, friends, and neighbors.

Dead Alive is packed full of ridiculous moments, as well some incredibly bloody kills complimented by creative practical effects work. The film’s strength, which is its extremely cheesy B-horror plot and a dirt cheap budget, also becomes the film’s weakness, and remaking this film with modern lenses might just prove that you don’t have to be cheap to provide entertainment.

5. Creepshow (1982)

Creepshow tells five grisly tales from a kid's comic book about a murdered father rising from his grave, a bizarre meteor, a vengeful husband, a mysterious crate's occupant, and a plague of cockroaches.

This marvelous anthology film along with its sequel gave us many terrifying and stylish stories. Its 3rd entry however, was simply too atrocious that it had basically killed the franchise. With a remake, not only will we receive many more bizarre stories but we might just see a return of this beloved franchise.

There’s only a few anthology horror films released these past few years now, with the V/H/S/ franchise being the only notable film from the genre, so it would be nice to see Creepshow resurrect its horror.

4. The Return of the Living Dead (1985)

When two bumbling employees at a medical supply warehouse accidentally release a deadly gas into the air, the vapors cause the dead to rise again as zombies.

Looking at The Return of the Living Dead it's undoubtedly a product of its time, featuring a myriad of tropes and characters that’s never seen in today's times. Seeing a modern remake of this film would be incredible, with an updated story and visual effects, as well as a rocking soundtrack. A modern remake of it would be a no-brainer.

3. A Tale of Two Sisters (2003)

After spending time in a mental hospital, a girl is reunited with her sister and returns home, only to see some truly strange events start to happen.

A Tale of Two Sisters did receive its own remake back in 2009 as The Uninvited, however, it isn't exactly the remake that this incredible film deserves. The Korean original is one of the most twisted Asian horror films, delivering many twists and turns that make viewing the film such a thrilling guessing game.

The type of remake that the film deserves is a simple translation that aims to mainstream the original setup without changing a single beat and make the more open-ended questions of its original be made more clearer without ever skimping on what makes its original great.

2. A Bay of Blood (1971)

The murder of a wealthy countess triggers a chain reaction of brutal killings in the surrounding bay area, as several unscrupulous characters try to seize her large estate.

Bloody, stylish, and intriguing, A Bay of Blood has all the ingredients to create one of, if not, the best whodunit mystery film of all time. The original is already a perfect film of its own, owing to its varied characters with strong motives and a strong mystery that will keep you glued to your seat. However, with a remake, all of this could be amplified and could give us a possible stronger outing.

1. Blood and Black Lace (1964)

A masked man with metal-claw glove stalks and kills models at a couple's (Cameron Mitchell, Eva Bartok) fashion salon in Rome.

Blood and Black Lace is one of the most visually stunning horror films that the genre has ever graced us. Delivering a hypnotic whodunit mystery with a glorious visual flair and many shocking deaths to marvel at.

While the original certainly still holds up to this day, it would be incredible to see its gripping plot be adapted in the contemporary era with many modern stylish flairs interspersed with it. Of course, though, nothing will still ever top this gorgeous masterpiece.

Is our precious Fortnite dying? Let’s take a look at the facts and conclude.

Fortnite was released on 21st July 2017 and immediately took off after a while. This game amassed 1 million users nearly one month after launch. By the end of 2017, the number flew up to 30 million, and nearly after one year, the player base grew to 200 million.

The game continued to grow ever since and it easily has more than 500 million users at this time. Fortnite set such high standards in popularity and traction that even though the game is still kicking very well, the general population thinks otherwise.

Well, we’ll decide how well Fortnite is kicking in 2023, if at all. I’ll list the facts below and conclude the article with my unbiased opinion at the end.

Fortnite released a set of toy guns with Nerf in a partnership. This boosted Fortnite’s popularity quite a lot back in the day. However, today these guns are barely selling and it can be said that Fortnite has lost its retail buyers.

Fortnite has played very smartly by collaborating with very famous TV shows. Fortnite has recently collabed with Stranger things, Star wars, etc.

These huge collabs proved to be very profitable for Fortnite as their sales touched the sky when they were released. These collabs continue to bring large amounts of players back on announcements and keep the game fresh.

7. Active subreddit

Fortnite’s initial success can be credited to the game devs listening to the community through their official subreddit. The community used to ask for new items and report bugs on their subreddit and Fortnite devs used to reply and assure to get it added or fixed respectively.

To this day, the devs are still active in their subreddit and this can be said to contribute to Fortnite’s survival even after nearly six years.

6. Balenciaga partnership

Fortnite caught everyone off-guard when they announced a partnership with Balenciaga. The Balenciaga stores made Fortnite hoodies and the fits were also sold in the game.

This partnership made rounds in the news and social media but its hype was short-lived. The insanely high prices of the hoodies also contributed to the smaller amount of hype.

5. Anime crossovers

The collab which got Fortnite the most traction was the anime crossovers. Fortnite announcing Naruto and Dragon Ball skins nearly broke social media.

I remember watching a streamer who hadn’t played Fortnite in months. When I told him in the chat that Naruto was now in the game, he said he’ll hop on the game after months just to get that skin. This was how much of an impact anime crossovers had and continue to have on Fortnite.

4. Streamers

Streamers used to carry this game in terms of popularity but right now, they aren’t as strong of a pillar for Fortnite as they were.

These days streamers quit and the streamers who quit a long time ago, come back to play and stick with the game due to the new chapter and its quirks. Fortnite has been lower in terms of twitch viewers these days and that does display a decline in viewership.

3. Tournaments

Fortnite continues to have plenty of cash cups and tournaments in the game to this day. We expected the number of tournaments to decline as time passed on but Fortnite continues to supply loads of money to Fortnite’s E-sports.

This shows that Fortnite is still making a very good amount of sales from its partnerships and item shop.

2. Updates

Fortnite was said to not last more than two years since it was “just another battle royale”. The reason Fortnite lasted and thrived this long is due to the constant stream of updates this game gets.

Fortnite continues to have updates constantly with new stuff added and bugs fixed as they did initially. This keeps the game fresh and attracts older players who left early to jump back in and experience a newer Fortnite.

The fortnite player count continued to rise throughout the years at an astonishing rate. If we peek at the concurrent players in the game we can see that Fortnite is still very much mainstream even in its “dead times”.

Since Fortnite doesn’t release such numbers officially, we rely on a 3rd party website called “player counter”. If searched on their website, Fortnite is said to have nearly 3.2 million concurrent players as of writing this article. This is a huge amount of concurrent number for a game and that too “a dead game”.

Fortnite continues to see daily concurrent players between 2.6-3.9 million and it peaks during events. As per the player base in countries, the highest amount of players is found in the United States of America followed by Russia and Brazil respectively.

So, I will conclude this article and state my views about whether Fortnite is dead or not. In my opinion, Fortnite is still very much alive and far from dead just based on the concurrent players. Even though it’s not as mainstream as it was once upon a time, it still manages to have an extremely healthy player base.

If you look at the average concurrent players in CSGO, one of the most played games on steam, it is nearly 650k. That number is nothing in front of Fortnite’s 3 million players. So if we compare the two and CSGO is considered alive, Fortnite is light years ahead of its death.

This game can survive a lot more years if it continues to get updates and stays fresh but it can also go downhill if the updates stop or a new, better game is released.

Fortnite was released as an early access game, still in the works, on the 21st of July in 2017. In a small matter of time, the game blew up on a scale no one could fathom.

The game reached popularity in the gaming and streaming world to such an extent that even huge rappers were playing it that had never gamed before. Players like Ninja and Tfue that were considered the best players in the game at the start boosted Fortnite’s viewership.

When Ninja streamed with Drake, the stream broke a record by holding an insane amount of 628k concurrent viewers. This alone showed how huge the player and viewer base had grown.

This sudden popularity is still holding great considering it’s been nearly six years of Fortnite. I’ll list the top 10 reasons behind this continued success of the game and I’m sure you’ll agree as well.

10. Animated cartoon-like graphics

Fortnite immediately caught the eye of the younglings on its release thanks to the cartoonish graphics. The bright color of the game and its lively look were very welcoming for players of all ages. People got on to just chill and got hooked on the game. Hence the initial boost in popularity.

The unraveling of the Fortnite lore was exceptional. In my experience, Kevin the cube was the first main concept that started the storyline properly. It displayed a snowball effect ever since with the zero point and the events lining up.

Cosmetic items could be argued to be a huge factor in Fortnite’s success too. The emotes along with the skins Fortnite introduced were never seen before and immediately got attention.

Gamers never imagined watching a skin do the worm or the hype dance in a video game. The default dance of Fortnite rolled out many memes and the memer community jumped on the train.

Fortnite capitalized on cosmetics and executed the emotes and cosmetics brilliantly. They continue to add cool new skins of heroes and anime characters in big collaborations, with pop songs. Some time ago when everyone saw Master Chief do BTS’ dance, the community lost it, hence the craze continues.

7. Various mini-games in creative mode

Fortnite got so much hype when it released the initial playground mode and everyone got their friends on the game to 1v1 each other. It also allowed players to practice and this attracted loads of new players.

This mode was further developed into creative, which was most probably the best thing Fortnite has done until now for the game. Creative mode brought with it freedom for players to build, and design whatever maps and game modes they want.

Many game designers jumped on to test their skills and to this day, new mini maps and games continue to come out which makes Fortnite popular, and not only because of its battle royale.

The reason for Fortnite’s continued success and popularity with the sixth year coming up for the game is updates. As simple as it sounds, it is very important.

Fortnite devs have been pouring their hearts out since the beginning and providing constant updates with maps, guns, and item changes. This keeps the game fresh and everyone loves being able to play their old favorite game in a new light.

4. Cross-Platform

Fortnite went across the charts with its cross-platform ability. When there were hardly any games with cross-platform availability, Fortnite stepped in.

Fortnite not only allowed different consoles and PC to play together but also allowed mobile players to play together too. This was huge since not everyone can afford a console but have decent phones. This meant they could play with their friends too. This made Fortnite very popular.

3. Anyone can compete

This was the most amazing aspect of Fortnite in its competitive area. Previously in E-sports titles like Dota and CSGO, only specific players on the best teams could compete in tournaments. Fortnite thrashed this mentality with its way of E-sports.

Fortnite allocated $100 Million to its E-sports and this was divided between weekly tournaments and the World Cup. Anyone could participate in the tournaments from anywhere in the world, something not seen in games before. The World Cup was also purely based on skill and anyone could qualify if they were good enough.

This made players pursue Fortnite competitively due to the enormous amounts of cash prizes and hence continues to be popular.

As I mentioned above too, the prize pools in Fortnite are too good to pass. The game offers multiple weekly cash cups, seasonal FNCS, and many other special cups with a very handsome amount of cash prizes.

The World Cup for example had a winning prize of $3 Million which decreased as we went down in the top 10. Every player who played in the World Cup was guaranteed to win $50K at least. How crazy is that? Many games barely have that amount as a total prize pool.

This helped Fortnite gain loads of traction. People still grind this game to this day to have a chance at earning some good money from the game.

As always it boils down to this, the game is absolutely free to download and play. In the era Fortnite was released Pubg was the biggest battle royale and that game was not free. When people saw a free battle royale release, everyone jumped on the opportunity just to enjoy the genre.

We need to be armed to the teeth!

Fortnite is all about mechanics, map knowledge, and rotations. But carrying the best set of weapons is equally as important as being good at the game. Any player, regardless of their skill level, wouldn’t mind using the best loadout to 1v1 against another player.

So, I went into the game and tried out different loadouts on the most famous 1v1 maps in creative. These maps consisted of finest realistics, Clix box fights, Raider 464’s 1v1 maps, and many more. I did this to understand the most versatile loadouts with the best ratio of weapons to heals and utilities.

The heaviest weightage was given in realistic 1v1’s since they replicate the real game very closely. I found some interesting combos of weapons and loadouts. I will share the five best among them below.

5. Rotator

This loadout is helpful in rotating, as the name suggests. The player has two items for repositioning; slap juice to move quickly and shockwave bow to fly up and gain the high ground. This allows you to be on the move always and catch your opponent off guard most of the time.

The auto shotgun paired with the pistol is a good combo as well. If your shotgun runs out of ammo mid-fight, the pistol can easily wrap it up.

Hence this loadout can be effective in a 1v1 fight to a very good extent. You can use the shockwave to close the distance between you and your opponent and fight freely from there.

What’s great about this loadout:

Always moving: With two items for rotation, you are always constantly on the move.
Catching opponent off-guard: With such quick movement, you’ll catch the opponent off guard in many instances.
Versatile: This loadout allows you to have two weapons for close-range fights and utility items to rush into your opponent.

Slap juice.

4. Healer

This loadout is very good for passive players. This loadout consists of 2 weapons and 3 heals.

The AR in this loadout helps passive players initiate fights, by dealing some good damage before the fight starts. If you deal good damage with the AR, you can rush in to seal the deal.

Whereas on the other hand, if you get damaged, you can base up immediately and heal up to full hp. The 3 healing items allow you to get full hp very quickly hence making it good for passive players.

If someone picks a fight with you in the storm, you can deal some damage and out heal them every time.

What’s great about this loadout:

Initiating fights: The AR in this loadout helps you to deal some damage pre-fight which boosts your confidence in the fight.
Enhanced healing: With three heals you can’t ask for more. Three heals mean you can regain hp at an insanely fast rate.
Surviving storm fights: You can win any storm fight due to the amount of heals in your loadout.

Chug splashes.

3. All in

Loadout display

This loadout consists of two weapons, two heals, and one utility item.

This loadout is ideal for aggressive players. The twin-mag SMG paired up with the automatic shotgun is deadly. These both weapons wield the highest DPS in their respective categories. So you’d imagine how destructive their combo would be.

The two heals allow you to quickly regain health up to 150 hp. This allows you to attack back quickly with your SMG and shotty.

Shockwave bow helps you to get closer to the enemy so you can rush into their box with your SMG and finish the deal with the auto shotgun.

What’s great about this loadout:

Attack power: The SMG and shotty with high DPS give you great attack power in fights.
Constant pressure: The SMG allows you to break boxes to prevent your opponent from healing.
Closing distance: If your opponent tries to build up or run, you can catch them in an instant with the shockwave bow.

2. All covered

This loadout covers all ranges to start fights and is very balanced in terms of picking quick fights. The three weapons are capable of dealing damage at close, mid, and long ranges.

You can use the AR to nick some damage at a longer range, and then immediately get close to the damaged enemy with the shockwave bow. Then at the mid-close range, the SMG could be used to deal damage and stop the player from healing. The shotty then sweeps whatever’s left.

This loadout is very viable in mid-game fights and you can find players easily by moving around with the shockwave bow.

What’s great about this loadout:

All ranges: The three weapons are good to deal damage at their own different, respective ranges.
Starting fights: Fights can be started with ease, thanks to the AR and shockwave.
Quick fights: This loadout allows you to get in the face of your opponent and end fights quickly.

1. Balance

This is the most balanced loadout out of all the others. A close-range weapon paired with a long-range weapon. Two quick heals and one movement item.

Balance lives up to its name and helps players who play smart in their fights. This loadout shines in the end-game and mid-game which are the hardest parts of the game to survive.

The AR can be used to kill the low-hp players in the end-game from afar. This can help you get valuable elimination points in the end game. The mechanical shockwave bow also helps rotations in the moving zones.

In 1v1’s, you can deal damage with the AR and shockwave to the person with the shotty out. This allows you to quickly sweep up fights.

What’s great about this loadout:

Killer in end zones: This loadout is great for fights in the moving zones thanks to the shotty for close fights and AR for long-range duels.
Prevents third party: The AR into shockwave into a shotty combo helps finish fights quickly before third parties arrive.
Quick heals: The heals in this loadout are great for healing quickly and you can use splashes while moving in the end zones.

These are the most powerful bows in the game.

Fortnite really shook the player base when they initially released bows in chapter 2. The Fortnite community was confused in the beginning about these new weapons. The question that arose was how a bow would compete with a weapon like an AR.

Later on, players started using the primal bows and crafted different types of them. This made them realize that bows are viable too. As the players got comfortable with the bows, we got to see many creative ways to use them. Especially the shockwave bow brought with it loads of creativity.

Currently, there are many bows in the game and I researched their stats and usage possibilities to rank them from worst to best. The legendary variant of each bow will be compared for a good, fair comparison.

5. Mechanical Explosive Bow

This bow is pure destruction and its color theme looks fiery too. It wields an arrow strapped with 3 small bombs that cause damage of all sorts upon your enemies. This bow causes initial damage upon impact and then the 3 small bombs go off, damaging the player further with each blast.

I really hope I don’t come across someone who knows how to use this bow properly. I can’t imagine keeping my sanity after getting stuck by an arrow with three bombs waiting to go “BOOM”.

Mechanical Explosive Bow Review:

Damage heavy: This gun continuously drains your enemies of health by damaging them with the shot and bombs.
Base destruction: If you shoot this at someone based up in their builds, the bombs can cause damage by breaking the builds.
Squad destroyer: This weapon is really good against multiple players standing nearby as it has an explosive effect.

Whoever smelt it dealt it, right? Well, not in this case. This bow stinks, not in the sense that it’s bad but that it is a bow that shoots fart bottles. The yellow-colored primal stink bow does have a dirty outlook; something you’d expect from a weapon that causes damage to players with its rancid smell.

The bow causes damage on the initial shot to the player and then forms a mustard-colored cloud of gas that damages players in it every second.

Primal Stink Bow Review:

Continuous damage: The gas cloud made by the arrow deals five damage to every player in it per second.
Gives clarity: If you find a bush or build suspicious and feel as if a player is hiding in it, this bow clears it in an instant.
Squad destroyer: The ideal situation to use this bow is against a squad healing or hiding in a base or house, each gets a whiff of death (Pun intended).

This is the bow with the potential of being one of the most versatile weapons in the game. The purple-themed Mechanical Shockwave bow is a damage dealer, a movement item, and something you can use to mess with the enemies.

I love this bow since I am always on the move with it. Be it chasing an enemy or running away from the big guys, it always comes in handy.

Movement: The amount of distance you can cover in a short time with this bow is amazing.
Fight or flight: You can easily chase enemies or disengage from fights.
Damage: This bow also causes damage on direct hits making it versatile.

Since this bow can become any bow, it can be said to be versatile as well. The only drawback is that you’ve no control over what type of bow it transforms into next.

Versatile: It can become any bow in the game, which speaks for itself in the terms of being versatile.
Fun: In chill, casual game modes, it can be fun to play with this bow and see what type it becomes next.
Exotic: Since this weapon is exotic, it means they’re lesser in numbers and you don’t have to worry about a transformer bow chasing you.

1. Grappler Bow

This bow is a game-changer and has an amazing way of working. The grappler bow has a sick design and it is just as dangerous as it looks.

It serves as a movement item and deals damage as well. The grappler can be used to latch onto anything to get a boost into the air. This allows you to move rapidly in any direction you want. Grappling onto something with this bow also negates any type of fall damage.

Shooting a player with it has multiple effects. The player is damaged on contact, then the player is grappled towards you and the deal is sealed off with you flying in the air in the player’s direction. I mean, how sick is this thing?

Speedy movement: The grappling gives you a boost into the air which rapidly moves you from one place to another.
Damage: The grapple causes damage upon initial contact with the players.
Reeling in: The grapple hooks the player and reels them towards you for a quicker kill.

She joined Fortnite very early on as a content creator and got loads of traction with her creative stream and video ideas.

Lufu, as her stream calls her, has made a name in Fortnite over the years. She has shown up in the creative mode of the world cup as a competitor and has a big community supporting her. Lufu was also one of the leading streamers in the first Summer fest tourney held by Fortnite in Australia.

These days she usually competes in no-build tourneys and has tried her luck in the FNCS too. She is very fun to watch and I keep tuning into her streams to chill as she’s one of my comfort streamers.

3. Loeya

Liah, who is known as Loeya in the streaming industry, is a Swedish streamer. Loeya started her streaming career in 2017 by streaming CSGO. She switched to Fortnite some months later and got loads of traction in a relatively short time.

Liah went on to build a community to her name and joined a famous org “Fnatic” in 2021. Nowadays, Loeya plays casually and competitively. She usually plays no build mode on the daily but also competes in cash cups whenever given the chance.

If you want to chill on an afternoon and want to have some giggles and laughs, Loeya will ensure that. I usually go in her streams when no-build tourneys are live, her gameplay and lively personality make the stay worth the while.

2. Ninja

Richard Tyler Blevins is one of the most famous streamers on this planet and he goes by the name Ninja in the online world. Ninja is a native American who started streaming in 2010. The first game he streamed was Halo: Reach but most of his popularity came through when he started playing battle royales. H1Z1 got him lots of traction and streaming Fortnite boosted Ninja’s growth exponentially.

Ninja can be said to contribute a lot to Fortnite’s early success. In the initial days of Fortnite, Ninja was considered the best Fortnite player. He broke the streaming record by holding 628k concurrent viewers while he played Fortnite with Drake.

Ninja came back to this game some time back and still streams Fortnite these days. He competes in cash cups and also plays casually, but mostly Ninja still sticks to the competitive side more.

No words need to be said about ninja. He is a great, entertaining streamer who you need to watch if you haven’t yet. I definitely have been following him since before Fortnite and his energy is always fun to watch.

1. Clix

Cody Conrod, goes by the name Clix, and hails from the United States. Clix started streaming in the June of 2018 when his father got him a gaming PC. Clix immediately started grinding Fortnite and streaming it while he was at it. He blew up very quickly thanks to his immaculate gameplay and has been streaming the game ever since.

Clix earned himself a spot in the World cup thanks to his mechanical skills, as he was the first player to qualify in both solos and duos world cup.

Clix is probably the most famous, active Fortnite competitive player among the OG’s. He still streams regularly grinding out Fortnite and takes the game very seriously. This guy is amazing at the game, to say the least, and deserves all the success he got in the competitive Fortnite scene.

I switch between him and bugha to enjoy the mechanical prowess of these young lads and to learn a thing or two from their gameplay. I find Clix funny too, especially when he rages or wins a wager. The little arguments are just too hilarious.

Playing with one friend is fun but do you know what’s more fun? Playing Fortnite with two friends. Trios is a very interesting battle royale mode. It is a good middle ground between duos and squads.

Duos can be a bit too sweaty as it is considered the “try hard” mode. It can be extremely hard if your duo partner isn’t as good as you and you need to carry the duo alone.

Squads is a bit too casual as it’s seen as a fun game mode. Squads is harder in competitive light too since if you’re the last person alive, it can be a pain in the butt to 1v4 a squad.

Trios is the perfect mid-ground where it’s neither too sweaty nor too casual. 1v3 is doable and if one teammate is not good, you and the other player in your trio can carry together.

Even though trios is a good mode, you still need to make sure you practice fighting and having fun with your trio. This makes sure that you lot are on the same page.

For this reason, I went researching and found the best trio maps for you and your friends to improve while enjoying simultaneously.

10. BATTLE ROYALE TRICKSHOTTING (TRIOS) (4861-4776-4072)

This map has more of a fun side where you and your trio jump in with all sorts of trickshotting weapons. It’s always fun to find out which friend is extremely skilled and who has golden luck.

Playing this mode can improve sniping.

Ah yes, the good old deathrun. This map has a simple fundamental rule, “all for one and one for all”. If you want to surpass the levels in this run, you and your trio need to work together. Teamwork matters a lot in this map.

How can we not include box fights in this list? Trio box fights enters your trio against another trio in a small, boxed area. You and your trio need to eliminate the others in this enclosed space. And the only way you can do that is by outsmarting the opponents with quick edits and clean shots.

You and your partners run on your separate paths with builds in place that you edit through. Competing against one another helps you to find out who needs the most improvement to catch up with the rest.

Excalibur gun game is a map leaning more towards the fun side. In this map, you and your trio can verse each other or different trios in a gun game. As you get kills your weapons upgrade. And you need to cycle through the list of weapons as you get kills till you reach the end weapon. The first to get a kill with the last weapon takes the cake.

It’s a good map to chill in.
It improves your gameplay with all types of weapons.
You can get some practice for early-game weapons since the starting weapons are very bad.

This map has a very interesting way of operating. Every trio has its base with one helicopter. Each base is supposed to upgrade and protect its base while attacking others. In the end, winning the game boils down to teamwork and communication.

This is another wacky game mode falling more inside the fun zone. It’s pure chaos with all types of mythical weapons that have been vaulted and unvaulted. This game mode is the ultimate stress reliever since all you have are OP weapons and your trio to smash.

It’s great to relieve stress.
This map is fun.
There is constant action with the respawns among the trio.

3. TRIO'S LATE GAME ARENA BATTLE ROYAL (1288-6503-8493)

This is such a good map for competitive players who need some end-game practice for tournaments. You and your trio load into this map with weapons. The teams verse each other in this moving zone and the last one standing wins.

It provides great end-game practice.
This map replicates scenarios in tournaments thus allowing players to play in similar environments.
It improves communication in hectic moving zones.

2. TRIO HOUSE WARS (3610-9611-3144)

This map is one of my favorites since it’s such an underrated practice for early-game fights. Each trio lands at their house and loots it and then the fight ensues with whatever loot each team found from the house. If you die early in the game, this map is best for your trio to practice early-game fights and looting.

It’s great for early game practice.
It improves looting skills.
This map improves communication and teamwork since your trio needs to work with less.

1. TRIO ZONEWARS (32 PLAYERS) (2497-8745-4182)

Map display

This is the best zonewars map for trios to practice in for FNCS tier tournaments. It starts trios off in different locations with random loot and mats. Each team needs to work their way out with what they’re given inside the moving zones alongside 10 other trios. This mode becomes very hectic and only the team with the best communication and teamwork can survive.

Why TRIO ZONEWARS (32 PLAYERS) is Great for 3 players:

It highly improves teamwork and mat shifting among teammates.
This map allows practicing stacked end-zones with 32 players.
The practice this map provides is highly similar to the situation you’re put in, in real tournaments.
