[Top 10] Assassin's Creed Origins Easter Eggs And How To Find Them

Assassins Creed universe is full of surprises. In each part of the franchise, you can find Easter Eggs hidden all across the map. Some of them are related to our favorite movies, while other ones are connected to other games. If you are lazy to look for them by yourself, here you can find the list of best Easter Eggs and where to find them.

10. Watch Dogs

Did you know that Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed are sharing the same universe? That’s right. To recognize the connection between the games, you have to be familiar with the Watch Dogs franchise. You can find Assassin’s Creed easter eggs in Watch Dogs games as well. If you played first Watch Dogs, you may be familiar with the Criminal Convoy side quest Requiescat In Pace, where you have to kill the character named Oliver Garneau. To find this reference, you will have to exit the Animus and play as Lyla. Go to the laptop and there you will be a find a map with CCTV footage of Oliver Garneau killing from the Watchdogs.

9. Orgy

Assassin’s Creed is full of unexpected things. While wandering the desert you will encounter many surprises. If you didn’t know by now, Origins features a hidden sex scene, which you can find on the easternmost island. If you want to find this Easter egg, head to Herakleion Nome, which is located in the northeast of the map. When you arrive at the Herakleion Village, you head to the east of the village. There you will be able to hear moans and distinctive noises. To be able to see the orgy, you should climb the window of the house that the sounds are coming from. Once you climb the window, turn on the photo mode. Now peer through the window, and you will see the reason for those moans.

8. Final Fantasy XV

For Final Fantasy fans, there is a little surprise added to the game. A quest was added as a crossover between Final Fantasy and Assasins Creed, and it will bring you some cool gear. This addition you can find by turning on the map and looking for a quest called A Gift From Gods, which is located in the Saqqara Nome. This quest is ranked level 23. It’s a very short quest, and won’t require any combat, but rather just one puzzle. A cutscene will appear where you can see the antagonist from the Final Fantasy XV game. This quest is only available in the dawn, so you will have to use Dawn and Dusk ability. Follow the instructions to complete the quest, and you will be able to claim a legendary shield, bow, and mount.

7. TARDIS Time Machine

If you are a fan of the British series Doctor Who, you are going to love this hilarious Easter Egg. You can encounter a TARDIS time machine in the game, and it’s located underwater. The Doctor probably took the wrong turn and ended up under the coast of Ancient Egypt. This Easter egg you can find underwater in the canal at Letopolis. There you will be able to find a booth that resembles the one from the TV show. The hilarious thing about this is that you can see legs sticking out of the booth, but unfortunately we don’t know whose. It’s not familiar what happened to the Doctor, but it’s a fun Easter egg and you can mess a bit with photo mode.

6. Indiana Jones Reference

To hear the famous Indiana Jones Reference from the movie Raiders of the Lost Ark, you will have to go through the quest Curse of Wadjet. This quest is rated 25 and is part of the Faiyum side quests. Turning on the map, you will be able to find this quest located in Faiyum, Ptolemaic Kingdom. There a scared man will tell you about the curse that is killing the Greeks. Mid through the quest, you will have to fight a bunch of the snakes, where you can hear Bayek saying: “Snakes again! Why did it have to be snakes?!”. Completing the quest you will also be able to claim a legendary Bow of Wadjet.

5. Dark Souls

This Easter egg is located in the ruins of the Keno, which are located in the Paraitonion region. Keep in mind that you should head there prepared because you will encounter some high-level Leopards, which are not so easy to kill. Once arriving at the ruins, you will see multiple ruined houses. In one of them, you can find a sword in the pile of ash with the message Sword in the Ashes. The message talks about how the bones belong to the people who will find no rest in the afterlife due to their missing hearts. This is a reference to the Dark Souls bonfire, which appears in a lot of modern games.

4. The Lord of the Rings

Turning on the map, you will be able to find a quest called Precious Bond, which is located in Giza and is ranked level 18. The name resembles Gollum from the movie series, with his bound with ring and quote: “My precious”. To start the quest, you have to find a trapped prisoner, who you have to rescue. Once you free the poor prisoner, he will give you a quest and will tell you that you have to find his valuable ring. During the quest’s final cutscene, you will see a similar scene as in the movie. Bayek tosses the ring in the air, where the camera focuses on the ring from above, just like in one of the scenes from the movie.

3. Asterix and Cleopatra

This Easter egg from the animated movie Asterix and Obelix you can find in the Hidden Ones. Heading northwest of the leopard lair in Madama Nome, you will be able to access a cave. Inside you will see a small camp with fire and a large headstone. Turning on the photo mode, you will see the drawing of a pudding with multiple other sketches. This is a reference to a scene from the 1968 animated movie, in which Artifis and Krukhut sing as they are making the poisonous pudding that is meant for Cleopatra.

2. Genghis Khan/Conan the Barbarin

Heading to Isolated Desert you will be able to find Apis Stone Circle. It is located in the southwest part of the desert, below the Remetch Ra vantage point. While Bayek and his son, Kehmu, are searching for the Apis constellation, Khemu asks his father: “What is best in life?”. After Bayek answered, his son said that his friend’s response was: “To crush our enemies and to hear the lamentations of their women”. This phrase is often related to Conan the Barbarin from his famous movie, but it’s Genghis Khan’s response to the same question. His full answer was: “To crush your enemies, to see them fall at your feet, to take their horses and goods, and to hear the lamentation of their women.”

1. Blade Runner

This Easter egg you can find in The Curse of the Pharaohs downloadable content. To encounter the reference to the Blade Runner movie, you will have to start the quest A Pharaoh’s Ka. It is located at the Gate of Heb Sed and is rated level 50. During the quest, you will have to recover the eye that you can find inside of a scorpion lair. You will be able to see a note saying:” I have seen things…Things that cannot be believed. Chariots aflame, struck down by the bow of Orion”. This reference resembles a quote from the 1982 Blade Runner movie that goes:” I have seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.”.

There is plenty of different gear in the game which you can pick according to your playstyle. Some of it you will be able to get through completing quests and looting and some you will have to buy in the shop. Gear also requires a certain level, which means not everything will be able for use all the time. Here you can find the best tips on how to farm experience and gold faster to equip that gear you want in no time.

10. Salesman Ability

Upgrading the Salesman perk will allow you to earn more gold. You will get a 25% bonus on all animals loot and trinkets sold to merchants. For that reason, you should upgrade the skill as soon as possible, since in that case, you will be able to earn more money. The ability you can find in the Seer section and requires 2 ability points to be upgraded. Roam around the map and look for animals and loot, so you can sell goods to the merchants to make a fast profit.

9. Changing Helix Credit for Drachma

Helix Credit will allow you to purchase a variety of packs and bonuses in the online shop. Some things in-game you can only purchase with Helix Credit. The game gives you 200 Helix Credits after completing just a few main quests. Unfortunately, that’s all of the Helix Credits that the game will provide you for free. If you want to claim more of the credits, you will have to spend real money on them. The credit that is given by the game you can exchange for 2000 Drachma.

8. Hippodrome Races

Winning Hippodrome races is one of many ways of earning money and XP. They will be available once you discover Kanopos. Participating in the races in the Alexandria region will give you a real taste of Egyptian culture. This may not be the fastest and easiest way to farm, but it’s worth a shot. There are multiple races, and winning them will grant you Drachma and XP. You will be able to fight off the opponents during the races, but you will have to dodge their attacks as well if you want to win the race.

7. Papyrus Puzzles

There are a lot of Papyrus Puzzles hidden around the desert. 25 to be more exact. Every puzzle will provide you with the riddle which you have to solve to collect the money. Each Puzzle solved will provide you with 300 Drachma. Try to use your knowledge to make some extra money. Puzzles can be tough and consume a lot of time. But for that, you will be highly rewarded. Considering that there are 25 puzzles, you will be able to make 7500 Drachma in total.

6. Loot Anything and Everything

Everyone that played grindy games knows that gold and XP are hidden all around the map. You can make quick Drachma on every step. If you have some extra time on your hands, you will be surprised how many XP and money you can encounter in the desert. Killing animals, looking for hidden treasure, bounty hunting are just some of the activities that will allow you to level up and make money. One tip: Don’t buy weapons in shops while low level, but rather use a weapon from loot since gear costs the same at the first and the last level.

5. Complete Side Quests

Side quests are a very important part of the game since they make the game experience much better. There are over 100 side quests all over the desert, each with the story behind it. They will help you to gain faster money and experience, which allows you to get better gear. When it comes to the gear, you will be able to claim some cool stuff by completing side quests, including bonus Drachma and XP, so you won’t have to spend any money at all.

4. Destroy Ptolemy Statues

You can find 19 Ptolemy statues around Egypt. Each of the statues you find, you will have to destroy to gain XP. Not all of them will grant you the same amount of XP. It can range between 150 XP and 450 XP per statue, depending on which one you destroyed. You should keep in mind that destroying these statues in front of guards makes you Wanted, so you will have to be careful while doing it. Farming XP this way requires a lot of roaming around the map, but it’s an easy way to help you level up.

3. Complete Locations

Discovering and completing locations will grant you decent XP and profit. To complete the location, you have to solve every possible quest in that area. That includes chests, killing unique animals, killing an enemy captain, and so on. To complete all locations, you will have to complete the main story and all side quests in the game. Once you complete all the locations, you will get the Old Habits Trophy, which will probably be your last. This will require a lot of time to complete, but you will gain XP and Drachma in the process.

2. Synchronize Vintage Points

Like in previous Assassin’s Creed games, you can synchronize vintage points in the map, which is mostly the highest point in the area. Synchronization will give you 100 XP in the beginning and will increase over time. Discovering new parts of the map will also improve Senu’s perception, which will be very helpful for discovering objectives. You will be able to spot objectives from a bigger distance and even through the wall. This will allow you to spot better loot and objectives that grant you better rewards.

1. Play Stealth Mode

Killing bosses will get you a decent amount of XP and Drachma, but eliminating regular targets unfortunately won’t do the same. However, playing more like an assassin you will be able to get bonus XP on each kill that you kill in stealth mode. To claim that bonus XP, you will have to get some abilities first:

Assassination XP - As the name says, you will get bonus XP if the target is assassinated.
Headshot XP - Headshoting the enemy from your bow is one more way to claim bonus XP from a kill.
Tool Kit XP - Killing an enemy with one of your tools will get you some extra XP as well when eliminating the enemy
Stealth Kill Streak - While killing multiple targets without getting spotted will bring you some extra XP like previous abilities.
