There is a huge choice when it comes to mounts in Assassin’s Creed Origins. All of them come with different looks and advantages. There are 30 different mounts in the game. Most of the time they are used for faster traveling, but they can be useful in combat as well. . This guide will teach you everything you have to know about the mounts.

Mounts will be necessary while roaming around since the map in-game is huge. You will be able to find them all across the map. Some of them you will get by completing quests and some you can buy in the E-Store. But most of the mounts are available in the stables for purchase.

Mounts are divided into 3 categories:

Horses
Camels
Chariots

Another way of getting mounts is by winning the Hippodrome races. By winning every race you will be able to claim rewards. Completing more races difficulty will increase, but so will the rewards.

There you can find a guy named Darius who needs your help. He wants that you bring back his horse that was taken by Roman Quartermaster. This mission consists of 2 parts and requires patience. But your patience will be rewarded and you will get 4000 XP and this beautiful mount, the Morning Mist.

This quest is located in Klysma Quarry, where you will find a papyrus on a workbench. This quest requires that you assassinate a character named Harwa and rescue a child slave. The reward for completing this quest is 8000 XP and the Hammer of Ptah.

3. Apophis Herw

Apophis Herw is a black camel with cool-looking accessories. If you are playing as a deadly assassin, this mount will suit you perfectly. It comes in Horus Pack, which is downloadable content.

To claim this mount, you will have to solve the Sundial Puzzle, which is part of the quest Gift from The Gods. This quest is a result of crossover with Final Fantasy XV. You can find it in the Saqqara Nome region.

Keep in mind that this quest is available only at certain times of the day. You can speed up the time by using Dawn and Dusk’s ability. Completing the quest, you will get 3 cool items, and one of them is Kweh.

Sword is the most common weapon in the game and is possessed by almost every enemy you will encounter in-game. If you prefer hand-to-hand combats, there is good news. You will be able to find a lot of different swords with awesome perks. Like any other weapon in the game, you can claim swords by completing quests and defeating enemies.

In-game you will encounter 3 kinds of swords:

Regular Swords - Very common weapon in the game. This type of sword is typically used by some organized fighting forces. All regular swords have increased the “Critical Rate Hit” perk.
Sickle Swords - Sicke swords are similar to regular swords. Using sickle swords you will be able to grab your enemies which makes them vulnerable to attack. All sicke swords come with a “Bleeding on Hit” perk.
Dual Swords - Dual swords have a shorter range than other swords, but will let you deal damage quicker. When using dual swords you will have to move a lot in the fight, since you won’t be able to equip a shield. This set of swords are coming along with the “Adrenaline Regeneration” perk.

5. Golden Wolf

“Golden Wolf” is a legendary so-called gladius. Gladius is a short, double-edged sword that served as a weapon used by Roman legionaries. It was claimed by Byek of Siwa once he killed “The Outsider” Phylake.

This legendary regular sword will make you more durable in fights. It comes with “Critical Hit Damage” and “Critical Hit Rate” perks. They will allow you to deal tons of damage to the targets. One more perk that comes with this weapon is “Health on Kill”. It will regenerate your health after killing an enemy, which is useful while fighting multiple stronger enemies.

To claim this legendary sword, you will have to defeat “The Outsider” Phylake. Phylakes are Egyptian police forces that operated throughout the kingdom. They were ordered to hunt Bayek of Siwa after he assassinated Phylakitai Gennadios.

Phylakes are very difficult enemies and be prepared for a tough battle. This one is located in the city of Alexandria and is rated level 20. Once you kill him, you will be able to collect “Golden Wold”.

After reaching the marked location, you will have to enter the temple. You can avoid a fight by not going in the front but rather entering over the roof. When you are finally inside, you will have to reach a vault and head inside.

After that, you will have to carry out your fallen friend. Your objectives will change. After the long horse ride uses Senu to help you to unlock the final location.

“Sundial Puzzle is a part of the quest “A Gift from the Gods” and you can find it located in Saqqara Nome. This quest is rated level 23. When you reach the marker, you will have to enter the tomb. That will begin the “Sundial Puzzle”

To be able to solve the “Sundial Puzzle” you will have to come at a certain time of the day. You can start this quest only in the dawn. To speed things up, you can use the ability “Dawn and Dusk”.

Another amazing perk is “Adrenaline Regeneration” which will allow you to use charged attacks more often. And the best perk is “Instant Charging” which will fill your adrenaline meter almost instantly.

To claim this legendary sword, you will have to complete the quest “The Heretic”. This quest is available in the downloadable content expansion package “The Curse of the Pharaohs” and is rated level 48. This quest will be available once you complete the quest “Aten Rising”.

This mission is located in Theban Necropolis. Following the objective, you will come to the Temple of Hatshepsut. You will have to find the Amun-Ra statue and other loot.

Once completing that you will have to go to the Tomb of Akhenaten. Following further objectives, you will reach Aten. You will have to destroy the golden orb and repeat that 4 more times, following locations on the map.

After destroying all of the orbs, you will jump into the fight with King Akhenaten. Defeating him you will be able to collect the legendary sword, The Living One.
