This game is one I have spent many hours playing and never got bored! The graphics, music, design, and story are well developed and creative! On Warframe, you play as aliens wearing badass armors and using high-tech weapons against mobs or other players. Explore the many worlds and beautiful maps while leveling up your character!

16. Destiny 2 (PC/PS4/XONE/PS5/XSERIESX/XSERIESS/GOOGLESTADIA)

2017 was the year of Destiny 2, the famous Destiny sequel. This first-person shooting MMORPG has a futuristic and fantastic design developed by Bungie and published by Activision. The game offers a good action play style in three classes: Titan, Hunter, and Arcane.

The greatest thing about Destiny 2 is how superbly detailed the lore is. Everything is so well explained! A great endgame full of things to do, you will never get tired of spending time going on a dungeon or raid, for example. Destiny 2 offers an excellent PVP system full of action and never gets stuck while casting a spell.

15. Archeage (PC)

I will talk here about both Archeage and Archeage Unchained. Archeage is one of the best MMORPGs for me. This game's crafting and sandbox elements will forever be deeply in my heart. Developed by the Korean Jake Song and his company XL Games, published by Kakao Games, Archeage has been on many players' minds since 2013. (2014 for the Americans)

This MMORPG offers a housing system, a wide variety of races, and freedom of classes; you can do yours the way you want! Archeage is one of the most beautiful games I've ever seen, the world is enormous, and even after playing this game for five years, there are places I still don't know.

One of the best combat systems of all MMORPGs in the world! Black Desert and its Remastered version aren’t famous just for being almost perfect on graphics, but also for the great story and wonderful option for customization of characters! Developed by Pearl Abyss and published by Kakao Games, this game offers a remarkable story and mobility for every class!

The profession system of Black Desert is one of the most complex and complete, offering a strong sandbox feeling with more freedom to chop some trees and farm many materials for crafting! Black Desert also offers a great housing system allowing players to create their own homes! This MMORPG has great marine content, you will build boats and ships for you to navigate and explore the ocean!

13. Aion (PC)

In 2008 NCSoft launched Aion, showing a new step of development for MMORPGs. Aion offers rich fantasy lore between two factions, the Elyos and Asmodians, in a “Light versus Shadows” way.

The game offers six classes and twelve subclasses, each with a particular play style! You can have wings and fly without a mount! Aion has a sound PVP system and is rich in PVE content!

Lost Ark was released in 2018, first in South Korea and then in 2022 on the occident! This MMORPG has a great system of PVE content like Raids, Dungeons, and Quest leveling, and it also offers a solid PVP!

Probably you are tired of always watching Albion Online’s promotion on Youtube but don’t let this upset you and give this fantastic game a try! Albion Online is a Sandbox MMORPG with a good focus on professions and total freedom for you to build your class and wear every kind of armor you want!

Is ArcheAge worth playing or not?

MMORPG’s have been popular for years now, especially titles like World of Warcraft, Guild Wars and Tera online. People seem to love getting engaged in role playing games and transport themselves into different worlds. But there is one game that people were skeptical about at the beginning. “ArcheAge”!

We will present to you the game in the most unbiased way possible, and help you decide whether this game is for you.

About ArcheAge

ArcheAge is an MMORPG which takes the player into a world full of mesmerizing creatures and amazing quests.The game was released by “XL Games” on January 15th 2013 in Korea and one year later it was released in Europe and North America on January the 16th. The game went through beta testing in 2011. This is admirable considering how much the company has developed the game in just 2 years before its release.

This Free to Play MMORPG has always had mixed reviews ever since the beginning. Even today according to the steam community, the game has mostly mixed reviews and its most recent user reviews are quite negative.This might be because of an interesting fact which might intrigue some of us, but not all. According to the company the game is essentially a “sandpark”. What that means is that the game contains a sandbox experience in it, which makes the game unique on its own.

ArcheAge Story

The story of the game is actually based on a book, to begin with. Apparently, it is based on the “AkkiAge”, or in other words the ArcheAge universe (the writer is Min-Hee Jeon, for those who want to check it out). The game contains both heaven and hell in it, and the characters separated into Good Gods and Evil Gods. Each God has unique abilities, and each and every one has their strengths and weaknesses. You get to pick which side to be part of and continue your story through the storyline quests. The storyline quests are indeed interesting, but I would say that the most interesting part of the game is the building concept and free roaming of a large world.

The gameplay is pretty straightforward. Like in most of the MMORPG’s, you have the option to create your own character according to the race they belong to. You can choose from a preset, or a very in-depth character customization.

There are 6 races to choose from and each race has unique abilities. The races are divided 3 by 3. That means that 3 of the races (Nuians, Elves, Dwarves) are considered to be the good Gods and are spawned in the Nuia region. The other 3 are the evildoers (Firran, Harani, Warborn) which are spawned in the Haranya region.

Moving on to the classes, there are 10 classes, and some of the classes have different paths to choose from with different sets of abilities. Fortunately for the indecisive, after a certain level you are able to start two paths simultaneously.
As in every MMORPG there are bosses, trading system, guild system, etc. and ArcheAge is no different.

The map is also fairly big and without a mount it will take a lot of time to travel from place to place which is a good indicator for those who like the world of a game to be as big as possible. There are cities where trading is on point and there are a lot of players you can duel or chat with.

Quests are everywhere and this is something I personally enjoy, because you can dive deeper into the world of a game this way. However, if you take up a lot of quests it can be quite annoying. The quests directions appear under the character which is helpful but definitely not needed if you ask me.

The battle of the ships!

ArcheAge Combat

The combat system is tab targeting unlike Tera or Black desert. But this is something that hardcore MMO players should be used to since WoW has a tab targeting combat system. There is auto aim once you engage into a combat which is nice to say the least and it saves time.

The level cap works weird here. Don’t get me wrong, it is ok, but confusing. You can level up your character up to level 55 and after that you reach something called Successor Level. Successor Level apparently is shown by replacing the “level 55” icon with wings and number next to them.

The PvE and PvP in the game are awesome. Diverse as well. The PvP aspect of the game is simple but amazing. You can directly start attacking players from the opposite faction or become a terrorist in a way by attacking people from your own faction. There are battlegrounds as well but where is the fun in it, right? Jokes aside, the PvP is worth trying. But how to PvP without the right gear? Well thankfully you can choose gear according to the situation. Weapons, armors, skill sets, everything!

The PvE on the other hand is just like in every MMO. You can either play solo or be in a group. Dungeons are all over the place. Pretty normal stuff.

The only complain I have is the combat animations are pretty plain and the sound effects are nothing extraordinary. They should work on it in my opinion.

ArcheAge Quest/Mission System

The quest system is good. During the storyline quests, you can meet interesting NPC’s and even more interesting creatures. There are beautiful places to be explored and as I said, there are plenty of quests that can help you get a mount or gain a lot of experience. Some quests are exciting, some not so, and some can be extremely boring, but that is only natural. One quest I really enjoyed was raising my first mount. Actually, feeding it and giving it water to grow bigger and be able to mount it.

ArcheAge Graphics

The graphics are a bit outdated for my taste and I have it maxed out. However, most of the people seem to like the small realistic aspects of the game. The combat animations on some classes are good but on others they can be… well … not so good. Overall, I would say that graphics are pleasing and no one should have any problems with them.

It looks fancy!

ArcheAge Developer

As I mentioned above, the developers are “XL Games” and they have done a great job. The game is not buggy at all. But is the technical support awful. And even if the game is not buggy when playing alone… in team fights there comes ultimate lags that just ruin the experience.

Patches are not released very often, maybe they consider the game perfect. Or maybe they secretly release updates during the long loading times…

So please work on this XL and be good to your community before everything else!

ArcheAge Price

The game is free to play and is available at the Glyph platform. There are pay to win elements in the game but it is only natural. Most free to play games have it anyways. Yet, I do not think that they give that much of a headstart. You get a glider which is cool. There are 3 different prices for 3 different memberships with every membership giving different bonuses in a way.

Final Verdict

Overall the game is good and I don’t know why there is so much hate around it.

Here are the pros and cons according to us and you be the judge whether you will try playing it or not:

Interesting quests and cutscenes
In-depth introduction of the characters
Variety of skills
Realistic aspect
Amount of classes

Cons:

Maybe a bit outdated graphics
Combat animations
Tab fighting
Dev support

That being said I would give the game a solid 6.5 out of 10 rating.

Want to wreck foes as a one man army?

The best solo classes in ArcheAge are all hard to master. However, they are really fun to play. In this guide you can find all the necessary information for our top 3 solo classes currently in the game.

We have provided the build necessary in order to get the most out of the class. Reaching level 55 with them will hopefully be enough for you to master them and If you do not… well PvP arenas are for that.

3. Enigmatist

That staff looks powerful!

Enigmatist is basically the magic version of Darkrunner. It is mobile and hard to master. It has CC spells and burst DMG. The cooldowns might be long depending on the gear but if played smart magic can happen (pun intended). It has a few setbacks compared to a caster but once you learn how to play with it, it can be much stronger. It is a decent PvP class and also strong enough for PvE and dungeons. The gear is of importance as well and vital for performance.

OP build!

2. Darkrunner

Badass look!

Other than “primeval”, this class is one of the most mobile currently. It is lethal and can be a one-shot class as well. Darkrunner can be demanding sometimes. The gear you choose is vital because you can be either extremely squishy or deal a bit less DMG but have more health and stamina. It is a fighter class but the hardest to master. Once mastered, it can kill any other class and if you are a beginner, this might be the right choice for you.

Badass build!

1. Daggerspell

Innocent looking but deadly!

Daggerspell is one of the most abused skillsets currently. The class can be pretty OP when you get the hang of it. It is actually so good that according to this build you will be able to 1v1, 1v2 and even 1v3.

The amount of CC is unbelievable! Combine the CC with the burst damage and you have PERFECTION! The class is also good for fast leveling (grinding) and even PvE. The only downside to this build is that it will take time to fully master the CC combos. Daggerspell can also be squishy at times and is mana intensive which equals to a pretty hard class to master.

Run if you can!

In the end, it all comes down to mastering the classes. It is a long process but worth the effort. Keep grinding folks and one day, you may become an unstoppable one man army.

Best ArcheAge classes to play right now!

After hours of research on different forums, reading veteran opinions and adding in my personal experience, we can safely say that these here are the top 5 ArcheAge classes right now. Some of you may disagree, since everyone has a different playstyle, but this quick guide will help you choose the strongest overpowered classes in ArcheAge.

5. Enigmatist

Some consider this class the equivalent of darkrunner, except that it is the magic version of it. As darkrunner, you can instakill someone with as little as 4 skills or a bit more, but you get the idea. Some say that Enigmatist is played almost the same way Le Blanc from League of Legends is played, which is interesting to say the least. The Enigmatist is very powerful in PvP and it is also good at PvE. Yet the build you are about to see is completely PvP sided. What more to ask for, right? Well it has its setbacks as any other class. It doesn’t have as much CC and has long cooldowns. But if played smart, everything will be alright.

Black Magic

4. Abolisher

The Abolisher can also have very high DPS. It is a bit of a hard skillset to master if you haven’t played a lot of MMO games. The Abolisher has decent amounts of combos but there is one problem. TIMING. Timing can be clutch, especially in PvP against a skilled opponent. The Abolisher is less about spamming skills and not for everyone. However, once mastered, can be lethal.

3. Primeval

Primeval is an interesting class. A lot of people seem to be confused about how it works since there are a lot of requests for a build even on the official forum page of ArcheAge. It is essentially again a PvE/PvP build. More on the PvP side. It has less combos compared to the daggerspell class but that means that it is also easier to control.

Kind of balanced

2. Daggerspell

The Daggerspell is a very good range/mage type. It is good because it has a lot of combos you can perform. However, more combos also mean more skill required to unleash them on your opponents. The build we will show you below is more like an all-rounder. High DPS, a lot of combos, good for PvE and PvP. That means that it is very powerful but at the same time balanced for all around play. The class has been good from patch 3.5 which means that it is stable as well! And most importantly, the Daggerspell has a lot of CC!!

The balanced build

1. Darkrunner

Apparently one of the most annoying classes according to the community. A lot of people complain that this class can out-DPS most classes, but not all, especially with 2 divine weapons (this one is for the melee types). Even in the official 4.0 patch of the game, the Darkrunner is still overpowered and the community wants it to be nerfed.

Since the performance of the class depends a lot on the gear it has, one question remains, how to create the perfect darkrunner? Well this is very situational and personal to say that there is “the best”. However, we will still see a build that is favored by the bigger part of the community.

One shot it if you can

All in all, each class can be played a couple of different ways with player customization. Since the game hasn’t received much patches, these builds should work for quite sometime into the future and it isn’t even 100% that the next patch will change anything (in other words these builds are pretty futureproof).

Well, keep grinding folks and be careful not to forget what the sun looks like.

17. Neverwinter

Neverwinter Gameplay

Neverwinter will sound familiar to many gamers, and for good reason. While it is not technically part of the Neverwinter Nights series, it is set in the eponymous city of Neverwinter. While Neverwinter does suffer from many of the problems of MMO’s, there are a lot of things it does do very well. While a lot of MMO’s focus very heavily on the PVP angle, Neverwinter tries to be more story oriented and consequently more worthy of its Dungeons and Dragons brand.

You’ll start your journey as your ship is sunk, leaving you unconscious on the shore. You will make your way to Neverwinter, which has plunged into chaos following the disappearance of the last Lord of Neverwinter. As one would expect, a great many villains and problems raise their heads, and it falls to you to become the hero that Neverwinter so badly needs.

It has most everything you’d expect form an MMO, but with a well done Dungeons and Dragons vibe.

Gameplay is pretty much what you’d expect from a game in this genre, you choose a race for your character, choose a class for your character, and set out on your adventure. Basically if you enjoyed all those Dungeons & Dragons PC games, like Baldur’s Gate, and Neverwinter Nights, you’ll probably get some fun out of Neverwinter.

Between it being free to play, having some decent DLC, and being currently on consoles as well; there’s essentially no reason for any RPG or D&D fan not to give this one a shot.

16.Vindictus

Vindictus Gameplay

Vindictus has a special place in my heart. There are hands-down almost no MMO’s on the market currently with a better combat system. When you are slicing through enemies in Vindictus, it really feels like you are playing a single-player action RPG. It just flows that beautifully.

In Vindictus, you don’t pick a class in the traditional MMO sense; instead you choose a character. Characters are class and gender locked. There are currently ten options. Each character has an entirely different combat style allowing for you to approach the game in multiple different gameplay styles.

The storyline is broken up into different “seasons”, which will be familiar to players of Mabinogi. In fact a great many things about this game will likely be familiar to Mabinogi players, as it is set in the same universe (several hundred years before Mabinogi though).

So if you like fast paced action RPGs and you like free things, definitely go and download this one.

In Rift you enter the world of Telara, a world under siege. Telara is the focal point of the various elemental planes (Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Life, and Death), each of which is governed by a dragon personification of their element.

With the world in the balance, it falls to you as one of the “Ascended”, long dead super-human warriors resurrected to face this threat. There are six races split between two factions; the Guardians, and the Defiant. The Guardians are religious and spiritual, and players in this faction will be resurrected after dying in battle against the evil that is attacking the world, and sent back to the beginning of the rift. The Defiant, on the other hand place their faith in science and go against the religion of the Guardians. Players in the Defiant faction will be brought back to life with advanced science as the world nears destruction, and are sent back in time to the beginning of the rift.

It has been called one of the best MMOs in years, and has raised over a $100 million in revenue. If you are interested in a more traditional MMO adventure, with a very solid player base then this one is certainly worth checking out.

Earlier I said that Vindictus was without a doubt the best MMO action rpg on the market today, well Mabinogi is also the best at something. Made by the same team, and taking place in the same universe, Mabi is one of the most wide-open and free MMOs out there. You really can do just about anything you want in Mabi. Do you want to be a gallant hero and save the world? Go for it. Do you want to be a tailor and sew amazing outfits that you can then sell to other players? Great! Do you want to make powerful weapons worthy of legend and sell them to those gallant heroes? We’ve got you covered.

There is a storyline in Mabi, divided into seasons and chapters just like Vindictus, but you can (as I imagine many players do) completely ignore this and go out to do your own thing. Add to that that there are no class restrictions to speak of (I made a jack of all trades character that was strong with a sword and magic, but also a tailor and a shape shifter) so long as you invest the time and effort your character can learn just about any mixture of skills that appeal to your vision for your character.

I keep coming back to Mabi and I suspect that will remain a fact for a long time to come. However no MMO is online forever, and missing out on this one would be a true loss. So don’t miss out, go check it out and see if it’s for you.

13.Age of Wushu

Age of Wushu is not your typical MMO RPG. It’s a martial arts MMORPG.

There’s a description I never thought I’d have occasion to use.

In Age of Wushu, you pick a faction to join (Shaolin, Wudang, Emei, Beggar’s Sect, Tang Clan, Scholars academy, Royal Guard, or Blissful Valley) and set out on your adventure. Factions take the place of more traditional classes, though the only skills that are specific to each faction is their internal skill. This lack of traditional classes also comes with the added bonus that there are no level caps either.

There are three types of skill that can be utilized in combat, and there is a rock, paper, scissors-like system in place.

The plotline is set in the early Ming Dynasty, as the Emperor has died and created a massive power vacuum. The perfect place for an adventurer to get his start!

12. Lord of the Rings Online

Alright so this one is exactly what it sounds like, and that is very far from a bad thing.

In LotR Online you start off on your journey at the same time as Frodo leaves the Shire. You can play one of five races (Dwarf, Elf, Human, Beorning, or Hobbit) and play as either gender in all races other than Dwarf for whom no gender option is provided. There is seven classes in the base game with more added via expansion packs.

There’s too much great about this game to cover easily here, so I’ll just cover some of the things that really make it unique.

For starters there’s music. Music is a big part of the LotR universe and LotR Online doesn’t disappoint in this regard. Starting at level 5 you can play instruments, of which there are many throughout the game. This allows you to play actual music written or transcribed by the community, as the instruments are fully playable (not just useful for playing scripted songs like in most RPGs). This gives way to music concerts and festivals in-game organized by players and makes the world feel that much more real.

Then there is the notable lack of magic. There are skills that work in a similar fashion to magic, and items that are enchanted; but there’s no option to be a mage/wizard in this game. In keeping with the lore, there are only five wizards in middle-earth and none of them are your character.

The storyline is broken up into chapters, with more being added via free updates and DLC. There are five DLC packs for LotR Online at present.

For a time this was the third most played mmo on the internet. Whilst not as strong as it once was, it’s still every bit the amazing game that it was. So if you like epic fantasy, or are just a LotR nut like I am; then you simply have to go out and download this one.

11.Dungeons and Dragons Online

Alright, so I talked about Neverwinter a little while ago and how if you liked those older PC RPGs you’d probably like it. This is firmly in that category too, in fact I would definitely say it’s a much stronger entry. Dungeons and Dragons Online is the undisputed king of online D&D. Much like Neverwinter, your adventures will be primarily centered around one city. Instead of the city of Neverwinter, you will be focusing your efforts of protecting the city of Stormreach.

The dangers you will save the city from are varied and legion, with more being added with every additional story update.

Unlike typical D&D, DDO uses real-time combat instead of turn-based combat, helping keep the flow and pacing of combat a lot more lively.

There are 9 playable races, and 14 classes open to all races. Also, as anyone familiar with D&D will likely expect, you can multi-class your character with no penalty or restrictions (other than your characters alignment) on what multi-class combination you choose to go with.

This is a very pure D&D experience and if that sounds at all interesting to you, then this one should bring you a great deal of fun. It certainly did for me.

10. DC Universe Online

Now, full disclosure; I am not a huge DC fan. I’m a Marvel fan through and through … so it’s worth keeping that in mind when I tell you that this game is very close to being exactly the kind of superhero game I always wanted to play. It’s not perfect, it has its faults but it is a very strong entry on this list.

DC Universe Online takes place as Brainiac is preparing to invade earth. In the future he manages this by causing the majority of the heroes and villains to wipe each other out, whilst slowly downloading their powers so that when they are all gone he can create an army of meta-humans that will do his bidding. After his successful conquest of earth, Lex Luther (one of the only survivors of the fighting) manages to steal these downloaded powers and load them into tiny robots that can bond with human beings, called “Exobytes”. Lex then travels back in time before the invasion and releases the Exobytes into the atmosphere so that they will bond with people and create hundreds of new meta-humans that can then be trained to repel Brainiac’s incoming invasion. You are one of these new meta-humans.

You have a huge amount of freedom creating your character with a great many different powers to choose form, different methods of movement (Super speed, agility, flight) and costume options (which you get more of through the game) to name a few things. Then of course you get the biggest choice of the game, to be a hero or a villain. Which you choose will decide the entire storyline for you as well as your starting point in the game world.

Some of the missions are very hard, and after you beat the main storyline the game does a massive difficulty jump … but it’s a very fun romp through the DC universe, and probably far more so if you are solidly into that universe. I just hope Marvel does something similar someday.

9.Star Trek Online:

MMO’s generally cover all the big fandoms. You’ve got Marvel, DC, Lord of the Rings, and of course; Star Trek.

Star Trek Online is … well … big. Instead of being stuck one island or world, you have a ship and can explore space. Because Star Trek wouldn’t really Star Trek if you weren’t … well, Treking through space.

The game takes place thirty years after Star Trek: Nemesis. Relations between the Federation and the Klingon Empire have fallen apart and war has broken out between the two factions. The Dominion is rebuilding, the Borg have returned and the Romulans are trying to come to terms with the loss of their planet twenty years prior.

Into this war torn universe, you start your journey. You can choose to join the Federation, Klingons, or Romulans; and from there your story begins. You will get a ship (and there is plenty of room to improve and replace that ship) and from there you are free to forge your own adventure through the galaxy.

Like most of the other entries on this list, there are DLC and frequent updates that add more and more content to this game, and there likely will be for years still to come.

8.Star Wars: The Old Republic Online

Alright, so it’s only fair that I mention ahead of time that Star Wars is one of my favourite things out there. I have at this point, I think played nearly every Star Wars game out there on any platform. So it’s from that position that I say that this is one of the best out there.

The Old Republic takes place in the same era as the Knights of the Old Republic games, though it is set a few hundred years after Knights of the Old Republic 2. The galaxy is divided between the Republic and the Sith Empire, who are at an uneasy peace after a ceasefire was signed between the two powers. With war an inevitability, it is just a question of which side will shoot first.

You have multiple races to choose from, and eight classes (four for each side). Each class has its own multiple chapter storyline, which (along with all other interactions in the game) is fully voiced with dialogue options and a morality system just like the Knights of the Old Republic games that spawned it; you even have companion characters that you can build relationships with and even romance, in a few cases.

There have been very few MMORPGs that have come even close to the level of depth that The Old Republic manages. While there are still the occasional fetch and carry sort of missions you tend to expect from an MMO, it usually does a very good job of keeping things interesting and varied.

7.Wildstar

If you’re looking for something a little bit more bright and colourful, then this one is the one for you.

Long ago, an advanced alien race called the Eldan created what they hoped was a perfect being. However as is so often the case with these sorts of stories, their creation was not as perfect as they had hoped. It developed a malicious secondary personality that the Eldan tried to eradicate. However all they managed to do was anger this personality, and it used its great power to wipe out every Eldan on the planet. It’s more benevolent half was horrified by this and sealed them both away.

In Wildstar you take on the role of a member of one of two factions; The Exiles, and the Dominion. The Dominion is a powerful human empire that encapsulates multiple galaxies. Their empire was built with the help of the Eldan, and when their benefactors vanished they slowly elevated to god-status in the Dominion. The Exiles, on the other hand, rejected this notion and left Dominion space; slowly making friends with all those that the Dominion had rubbed the wrong way.

Now at long last, the homeworld of the Eldan, Nexus, has been re-discovered. The Exiles want it to finally give their people a home, and the Dominion sees it as a holy site that they must claim and protect. As the two sides fight over Nexus, little do they know that the “perfect” last creation of the Eldan is still imprisoned on Nexus, just waiting to be let lose upon the galaxy.

Wildstar has an open world that the player is free to explore, taking on quests and doing dungeons as one would tend to expect from an MMO.

With an art style similar to that of Overwatch or Borderlands, and an interesting and unique plot line; this one is definitely worth a look-see.

6.Blade and Soul

Blade and Soul Gameplay

Blade and Soul is another game with very strong combat. It uses a real time combat system that relies heavily on your ability to string attacks together into combos, much like you would do in any single player combat game. Combat in Blade and Soul is a mixture of martial arts and acrobatics.

In Blade and Soul you can choose between four races to play, each based upon on of the “four benevolent animals” of Chinese folklore (Dragon, Turtle, Phoenix, Kirin), and then between nine classes.

The game is designed to be very fast paced with fluid combat that feels very much like a single player game. It achieves this quiet well, making for one of the better combat experiences out there at the moment.

So, begin your journey of vengeance today with Blade and Soul, this is one title you’re not going to want to miss out on.

PVP action in this game really feels like a duel rather than your typical running around button mashing action you get in most PVP

5.Marvel Heroes

Marvel Heroes is one game I’m sort of eternally on the fence about. It’s Marvel, which I love and it has a huge amount of characters that I love in it available to unlock and play (I have Loki and Ghost Rider on my one account) … but then it has an isometric camera and is focused more on combat than story.

Marvel Heroes can basically be summed up by saying, if Diablo and Marvel Ultimate Alliance had a baby, it would be this game.

You will quickly get at least one character you really want, and begin your quest to save the world by fighting your way through hordes of enemies. One catastrophe after another will raise its ugly head to threaten the world, but it wouldn’t really be a Marvel game if that wasn’t the case.

The game has around 60 playable characters at the moment, but more are being added all the time. With the game having just made the transition to being on consoles as well, we can only expect more updates.

Of course, when movies come out they tend to release skins for characters to make them look like their cinematic counter-parts, so that can be nice if you really like the movies

4.Wakfu

Wakfu is an odd one. I hadn’t heard much about it before starting on this article, but it’s really an interesting game that’s pretty unique.

The game is a tactical turn-based rpg, where you explore a massive world doing … well more or less what you want to do. The possibilities are near endless here. Though the game boasts that it has no standard classes, it’s still interesting that what it does offer allows you to make a playstyle that suits you. Do you want to focus on combat? Perhaps you’d like to go into politics?

I know what you’re thinking, “Politics? What does he mean?” Well, one of the really cool things about Wakfu is that you can go into politics and be elected as Governor, or a minister to the Governor and actually shape how politics work in the world for a time. You can also actually shape a part of the world via guild’s haven worlds. There’s even an ecosystem that can be impacted if you kill to much of one thing.

This game is just so intricate and alive, I’m really rather sad that it doesn’t get anywhere near the publicity it deserves. Hopefully this list helps a little with that though, because this game really deserves some love.

So if you want to try something in a class all of its own, or maybe are just looking for something to sink a few hours into; check this one out. Not only is it free, but it’s download size is tiny (a real rare thing in MMOs) so you can probably download it and have it installed in less than ten minutes with a reasonable internet connection.

It also has a very upbeat art style that’s kind of infectiously positive

3.Aion

Aion Gameplay

In Aion you fight to reclaim what remains of a world that has literally split in two. The Balaur, the descendants of dragons that were created as guardians by the god Aion, broke the world. Now it’s up to you, as a member of either the Asmodian or Elyos faction, to reclaim what is left of the world and vanquish the Balaur once and for all.

Aion has a unique focus on flight in its gameplay. At level ten you become a Daeva, a powerful demi-god devoted to the protection of the realm. This comes with a fair few perks but arguably the coolest of them is that you get a set of wings out of it. It’s not uncommon for MMO’s to allow you to fly on a mount or in a vehicle, but it’s a special kind of feeling flying on your own wings. To start you won’t be able to fly that long, and you can only fly in specific areas … but gliding is something you can nearly always do and that is essential to getting around.

This is a particularly beautiful game, so it’s definitely one to try especially if you have a relatively powerful gaming set up.

2.Archeage

Archeage is set in a zoneless open-world sandbox that can be played from the first or third-person perspective.

The plot line is pretty uninspiring but don’t let that turn you off of this, because the sheer wealth of things to do more than makes up for it.

For starters, you can build buildings just about anywhere, which can be really nice if you see a place that just screams “this is where you want to live”. Branching off of that, you are able to plant gardens that you can then farm. There’s also an intricate trading system complete with trade routes if you’d prefer just to take goods from city to another for profit.

Mounts are handled a little differently in Archeage as well, as you get them as a baby and have to raise and train them. This is an interesting mechanic and it serves to make you feel a lot more connected to that starter horse or pet.

Another interesting system at work here, is the criminal justice system that runs on player-run courts. Players are served jury summons and if they agree to be a juror they will help decide the sentencing of players that have committed theft or murder. The guilty party is then expected to either work off their bounty, or potentially try and escape by tunnelling out.

Basically you can just ignore the plotline and delve into the world and you will likely not be bored for quite some time.

Another thing you can do is build yourself a ship and become a pirate!

Or instead of building yourself a house, you could also build yourself a castle

1.TERA

TERA Gameplay

TERA is a very well loved game, and that is for good reason. It manages to be both everything you’d usually expect from an MMO, but doing it all so well that you don’t care how much of a stereotype it is.

All the details are there, the hot bar for attacks, the questing and crafting systems, raids; it is every inch a typical MMO in what it has on offer, but while many of the games on this list went in a different direction from MMORPGs of the past, TERA instead goes back and does those well-worn concepts better and polishes them up into something that really shines.

With Seven races to choose from, each with its own racial skills, it really satisfies my need for a decent character creation system. From there, you have a further 12 classes to choose from as well.

This game is beautiful too, it might well be the best looking game on this entire list. The characters are beautiful, the environments are breathtaking and the world design really just feels like a living, breathing fantasy world. If you’ve enjoyed other MMO’s like WoW, then this one you are absolutely sure to love.

There is an amazing amount of really good free games out there right now. With so many subscription games making their way over to free to play, it’s a great time to be playing MMOs if you’d rather spend your money on things that matter … like cosmetic items inside the games that you are no longer paying to play.

11. Final Fantasy XIV

We all know what the Final Fantasy series is about: gorgeous-looking teens with fabulous hair, and ridiculously oversized swords.

Not counting the creepy Lalafell (seriously, they look like evil, demonic dolls – Annabel would be proud!), all the races in Final Fantasy XIV are beautiful. 10. Vindictus (Mabinogi Heroes)

Vindictus, also known as Mabinogi Heroes, is an action-packed MMORPG offering ten playable characters – five of whom are dangerous women so dazzling their enemies will be too busy admiring them to realize there’s a blade headed for their throats.

There’s Arisha, a tough battle witch who is as deadly with her sword as she is with her spells; Fiona, who will stick a sword into you, then bash your skull in with a shield; Vella, who won’t introduce you to her parents, but probably will to her dual swords if you misbehave; Evie, a young noblewoman known for her magic, and whose classy style will make you feel like a pauper; and Lynn, an agile lady whom you’ll probably never get close to, thanks to the very, very large spear she’s wielding. These lovely ladies may be delightful to the eye, but watching them make short work of their opponents on the battlefield is even more entrancing – it’s like watching a beautiful dance of death!

9. Bless Online

We’ve been keeping an eye on Bless Online, a spectacular-looking MMORPG set in a medieval fantasy realm. It’s got an amazing world, a fascinating story, and cool-looking races. Not to mention its ladies are looking mighty fine.

It’s got everything from sexy elven badasses to sexy cat girls. But Bless Online has something that other MMORPGs don’t have – something that we’re sure will get the furries doubly excited: sexy wolf people!

Yes, despite probably being related to canines, the Lupus are quite attractive. Their men are hulking, handsome beasts, so there’s a lot of eye candy for the women, as well!

8. Continent of the Ninth Seal

The world of Glanheim is in peril. The evil Nefer is bent on opening a rift to the Netherworld. Should he succeed, demonic armies shall swarm the peaceful lands.

Bah, who cares? Nefer can go kill himself, because we’ll be too busy admiring the magnificent beauties of Continent of the Ninth Seal to care about some pesky demonic legions.

While we’re loving the setting and the action-packed combat system, what we’re really digging is the game’s bevy of alluring women. From foxy vixens wielding fire and ice to elegant ladies brandishing blades large enough to split you in half, Continent of the Ninth Seal is packed with eye candy. This game has some of the sexiest female characters in the MMORPG, which makes us all the more excited to play it!

7. Kingdom Under Fire II

Kingdom Under Fire II blends MMORPG elements with the real-time strategy genre. Imagine having your own hero, and also being able to command your own troops. Will you go solo, cutting through hordes of enemies like some rage-fueled god of death? Or will you engage in massive battles, throwing your soldiers against the enemy like a furious tidal wave smashing against the beach?

War is great and all, but after the dust has settled, there’s nothing better than sitting back and enjoying the sight of Kingdom Under Fire II’s extraordinarily beautiful people. We’re telling you, this game has some enticing lookers.

Admittedly, some of the costumes for the women lean towards the “WTF” end of the spectrum. And certain… body parts... behave in ways that would make you think they have their own set of lungs and central nervous system. Questionable taste aside, this game has some of the sexiest female characters you’ll ever see in an MMORPG. So if that’s what you’re looking for, this is your game.

6. ArcheAge

ArcheAge is a fantasy MMORPG that aims to give players everything they want in an MMORPG, and then some. In addition to standard stuff like excellent combat, PvP, crafting, housing, etc., the game also boasts naval combat, farming (as in, gardening and planting tomatoes and stuff), a criminal system that allows players to become members of the jury and punish player criminals, and even using a glider to soar through the air.

As if the game can’t get any better, it’s also home to some of the most marvelous sights in game. And by “sights” we mean hot women (and men!). There are four races, including the charming Firran, who are, well, humanoid cats, and the exquisite Harani, who are this universe’s East Asians. The costumes range from the ravishing to the divine, and we’re glad to say they’re not all too ridiculous (although you’ll still spot a number of female knights with their bellies totally exposed).

5. Skyforge

Ever wanted to be a god? Well, in the free-to-play science fiction fantasy MMORPG Skyforge, you can be.

And what decent god would you make without followers? Skyforge allows you to gain followers, have as many classes as you want, and journey across a grand world filled with danger, mystery, and entrancing beauty.

Yes, the immortals of Skyforge are gorgeous. And for the most part, they’ve got a slick fashion sense, too. You want to look like a super hero? There’s a costume for that. How about a tough-as-nails soldier? There are clothes for that, too. You can make a character who looks like they’re going out for the night to some fancy-schmancy club, or one that resembles a knight. There are plenty of choices for every taste.

Sexiest female characters in MMORPGs are rarely as appealing as those found in Skyforge!

4. TERA Rising

Free-to-play TERA: Rising has all the elements of a classic fantasy MMORPG – hundreds of quests, crafting, grinding, and of course, warrior women in skimpy armor so ridiculous they’ll leave you wondering: how do they keep those tiny straps from peeling off? Glue and duct tape?

Developer Bluehole Studio went nuts designing the looks of the game’s female avatars. Its bevy of beauties range from the busty, long-legged, and statuesque, to the tiny and adorable. And yes, while the costumes for the women are not always sensible, many retain an artistic charm that makes up for the more off-putting ones.

Thankfully, TERA: Rising is more than about visuals – its real-time combat is also quite impressive! In fact, it was one of the first few MMORPGs to do away with the “click on enemy till it dies” gameplay. In TERA: Rising, you have to actively dodge strikes, and your attacks need to be timed correctly to land.

It’s among the games with the sexiest female characters, and it’s fun to play!

3. Elder Scrolls Online

You’ve wandered the frozen tundra of Skyrim and travelled the dusty wastelands of Morrowind. You’ve been a Nord, a Redguard, a Dunmer, even a hairy cat-person.

Now, you get to do all that while playing with thousands of other people online. Welcome to Elder Scrolls Online!

Elder Scrolls Online continues the venerable series’ winning formula: enormous environments, diverse cultures, frightening monsters, and of course, lots and lots of beautiful people. From the dusky Redguards to the fair Nords, there’s plenty to like. There’s even the Khajiit race for the furries out there. And for those of you who are into… weirder fetishes… there’s the reptilian Argonian race. Watch out for those spikes, though!

2. Blade & Soul

This fantasy martial arts MMORPG from South Korea has been wowing gamers all over the world with its stunning visuals. And by that we mean its exquisite CG environments.

Okay, we also mean the character models, specifically the women and their ludicrous but stimulating wardrobe choices. Unreasonably revealing costumes? Check. Skin that glistens as if they’ve just emerged from a tub of oil? Check. Thick eyelashes, and elegant hair? Check. You have to wonder: are they getting ready for a battle, or a Victoria’s Secret fashion show?

It’s a good thing Blade & Soul’s gameplay makes more sense. Its battle system is in real time, and employs a combo system that brings to mind the fighting game genre. Yes, it’s got some of the sexiest female characters in gaming, and it’s also absolutely fun!

1.Black Desert Online

Every aspect is extremely well done - from the UI to the combat and questing. At times quests can get repetitive, but that is expected in MMOs.

This fantasy MMORPG is set in Telara, a world that so happens to be the intersection of all elemental Planes (Air, Water, Fire, Earth, Life, and Death). Should players ignore these rifts, the invading forces will spread and make everybody’s lives miserable. Players therefore have to work together to destroy rifts whenever they appear.

Rift also has a soul system that allows an extreme degree of character customization. Want to be a healer and tank at the same time? No problem! The system allows such uncanny combinations. Switching between roles is easy, so you can be a high damage-dealing warrior the next, and a sly, stealthy rogue the next. This gives every character a versatility unseen in other MMORPGs.

5. Path of Exile

Those disappointed with Diablo III’s somewhat cartoony visuals will love Path of Exile’s grim tone and ridiculous levels of bloodletting.

Like all MOBAs, gameplay involves two teams of five (called Dire and Radiant) duking it out on a large battleground filled with creeps, minions, and fortresses. The first team to destroy their opponent’s Ancient wins.

There are 110 heroes to choose from, all with their own unique abilities. As they level up, you can unlock new skills or upgrade their statistics. In addition, gold can be used to purchase items for a variety of benefits.

It all sounds very simple, as all MOBAs do. But it’s Dota 2’s surprisingly complexity that makes it the best of the best. Mastering your character, cooperating with your allies, and winning team matches requires layer upon layer of strategy – not to mention quick reflexes. It’s a pretty demanding game, especially when you’re up against experienced opponents. This is what makes it such a great eSport; the fact that it’s a game where success depends on skill, observation, timing, and the ability to adapt quickly to the situation.
