This game is an unbelievably complex FPS-RPG that places an incredible emphasis on giving you a ton of options for more or less any situation. EYE gives additional complexity to everything the genre is known for.

Not being user friendly at all, you will need to invest a lot of time to get the hang of this title, but once you do, it will become more than worth your while.

When you aren’t talking though, you are probably shooting things, and for these situations Michael can use up to 10 special skills. Michael’s abilities are also upgradeable, which is an interesting RPG element.

With a very strong and well-written interactive storyline opposed by an unpolished gameplay component, Alpha Protocol is a flawed gem, but a gem nonetheless.

The title features gameplay reminiscent to that of Thief, sending you out to perform a specific goal, and letting you to decide on how to do it. Corvo has an upgradeable arsenal of gear and magical abilities, so the options are many and varied.

What sets Dishonored out from the rest is the way the game adapts to you as you adapt to it. Parts of each playthrough are randomized, and the rest of it further changes according to how you’ve played thus far. Highly recommended.

4. Mass Effect 3 (2012)

Even though the ending may be considered disappointing, Mass Effect 3 represents the culmination of everything Bioware has done with the beloved series since the first installment. The destination may be imperfect, but the journey is amazing.

This title is the Tyrion Lannister of PC games: It killed its parents to come into this world, and in doing so captured the hearts of anyone who gave it a shot. Strong writing, great characters and an amazing atmosphere make the title a must play for everyone.

2. Fallout: New Vegas (2010)

The world can’t get much worse than this, so we might as well enjoy it

New Vegas lets you control a character referred to as the Courier, who is gets double-crossed and left for dead. As in every good Western movie, our hero is not pleased with this treatment, and sets out for revenge as soon as he recovers.

This game takes everything that you liked about Fallout 2 and puts it into Fallout 3. Explore, finish optional quests, advance the main story, or do whatever you want. It’s all good.

With more of everything we are used to, and even the ability to finally put in cybernetics, Fallout: New Vegas is easy to recommend to anyone.

The graphics might be dated but the gameplay is certainly not

Waking up alone in what appears to be an empty spaceship, you soon find it to be full of mutated monsters. With no idea of what is going on, you try to escape with your life.

Fighting the monsters is generally discouraged, as it is usually a waste of time and resources, making your stealth and hacking skills invaluable. Completing quests grants your character cyber modules, which can be spent for ability upgrades.

System Shock 2 is the unpopular brother of Deus Ex. Both had the same potential, but the former was just too unnerving to be around and was eventually forgotten, while the latter thrived. Don’t be like the rest and give the game a chance. You won’t be disappointed.

Agent Michael Thorton is just been inducted into the "Alpha Protocol", a US military service whose operations technically do not exist.
