Healers are as essential as any DPS hero in AFK Arena when fighting in PvE Campaign – and we’ve seen how much they can offer in building efficient team comps. Whether it is for burst formations, or sustaining your carry, healers can do just about anything to keep their allies alive (that is, until they die.)

A lot of support heroes in the game offer healing in their kit. But the ones we’re about to mention in this list have Regen as their primary role, and they’re at the top of their game in the endgame meta! Let’s look at their overviews why they are considered the best.

5. Desira

Desira is a Graveborn support hero who is intelligence-based. She is well-beloved for her design and kit. She’s a healer who can deal a bit of AoE damage, a bit of crowd control, and can shield the most injured ally with her protective bubble. Desira survives even in the end game, where battles are much more rigorous. She can be utilized effectively as the main support in the Alna+Grezhul comp.

What Makes Desira Great

Desira is such a good healer for the reason that she protects allies from dying when their health drops to 30%, letting them ignore damage, using her ultimate ability “Siren’s Call”. This ability also heals all allies, including herself, for up to 150% of her Attack Rating. Her skill, “Oceanic Mist”, covers the battlefield and heals allies standing within it.
She can also do crowd control using “Hatred’s Mark”, a passive ability where she deals up to 170% AoE damage while also marking the enemy for 12 seconds. An enemy will become terrified for 3.5 seconds when successfully stacks three marks on an enemy.
Desira’s signature item will now let “Oceanic Mist” stay on the battlefield even when she dies. This grants Dodge and Received Healing points to allies, debuffs enemies by reducing their Crit Rating, and lessens damage taken by allied heroes.
Her 9/9 furniture bonus debuffs enemies who are standing within the “Oceanic Mist.”It marks them every 3 seconds and disables them from receiving a majority of buffs.

4. Nemora

Nemora is a Wilder intelligence-based support well-known for her burst healing towards all allies. Maybe you’ve experienced having her as an enemy, which is so annoying since her healing abilities make her and her allies quite hard to kill. She is one of the oldest heroes released in the game and still makes it in the endgame.

What Makes Nemora Great

Nemora is a good pick for a healer when your team can last long on the battlefield or, essentially, when you have to sacrifice her. This is because she is one of the heroes used in Lucretia Cheese comps – letting Nemora die grants more Attack Rating for Lucretia. Also, her “Beguile” ability is the first one she casts after entering the battle, charming the enemy to attack one of their own for 6 seconds, which is essential before she dies. There isn’t much to expect from her since her performance will be poor in the endgame when the team formation easily gets killed (because she is squishy and her ultimate ability can always be interrupted by enemies’ abilities).
Nemora’s signature item allows for more healing from her normal attacks, and leveling it up to 10+ will increase healing if critical strikes occur. Only invest up to 30+ if you will be using her frequently.
Here’s where Nemora shines most. Having her 9/9 furniture lets her immediately cast “Beguile” to all nearby enemies and essentially heals herself using “Life Force”. This bonus is essential for the Lucretia Cheese comp as Nemora might die within the first few seconds of the battle.

3. Merlin

Merlin is the only support hero from the Dimensional faction. His skillset revolves around healing and protecting his allies as he can foresee the future. In the endgame King’s Tower and Arena of Heroes, he dominates all support heroes due to his significant role as the main support in the Ainz comp.

What Makes Merlin Great

Merlin offers a wide variety of abilities that offer a lot of healing. He can also bear damage taken by the ally to protect them using “Magical Amelioration” while healing himself and his ally. His ability, “Guardian Owl”, allows him to turn into a spirit owl and protect his most injured ally while also healing both of them. Furthermore, his ultimate ability debuffs enemies by decreasing their health up to 180% of Merlin’s Attack Rating every second.
Merlin’s signature item allows the damage taken by Merlin and his ally to be converted into health. Also, leveling it up to 30+ decreases the damage Merlin bears for his ally to half, which is pretty cool.
Here’s where it gets exciting. The 9/9 furniture bonus of Merlin lets him immediately use his ultimate ability “Destiny Foreseen” upon entering the battlefield, which essentially decreases damage taken by all allies that also heals them.

2. Mortas

Like Merlin, Mortas is the only healer of his faction, the Hypogeans. He is significantly OP due to the versatility of his kit. Not only can he heal your allies, but he can also boost their Attack Ratings, grant Attack speed points, debuff enemies, and steal their health and energy. Mortas is doing exceptionally well in both PvP and PvE as a support in teams like Ainz Comp or Lucretia Cheese comp.

What Makes Mortas Great

Mortas increases the Attack Rating of the target ally up to 40% and grants them up to 40 Attack Speed Points. What is amazing is that his normal attacks can steal 8% of the enemy’s current health and 20% of their shield value using his passive skill, “Greed”. He can also steal the health regenerated by an enemy and also debuff their Haste using “Devilish Deal”.
His signature item at +20 allows his skill “Greed” to have a small AoE, which then applies the effects of this ability towards his allies.

1. Silas

Ultimately, Silas is one of the most OP supports in the game. He is a Graveborn intelligence-based support whose abilities revolve around healing his allies, debuffing his enemies, and increasing their attack ratings by a massive percentage while letting them be immune to damage. He is an exceptional healer for Campaign and in the Arena as he is utilized in the most powerful of team comps like Alna+Grezhul.

What Makes Silas Great

Silas’ abilities are just powerful enough to keep your team alive and fighting. Using his ultimate ability, “Injected Fury”, he increases the Attack Rating of the weakest ally by 50% and lets the ally be immune to damage for up to 10 seconds. The downside of this ability is that all mitigated damage by the ally will be absorbed once the ability has ended, but the ally will not die because of it. His other abilities still focus on healing allies, but “Double Dosage” will not only heal his allies. This skill will also decrease the health recovery rate of enemies when they stand within the gas cloud.
His 9/9 furniture ability will increase his allies’ Normal Attack damage by 50% and frequency by 30% for both melee and ranged heroes which are highly beneficial to heroes that synergize with him (Ferael, Grezhul)
Silas’ Signature Item “Adrenalin Shot” will also debuff enemies’ health recovery rate up to 60% and also grant a 20% Attack Rating increase to allies with more than 50% HP.

Though there are different factions to choose from, only a few of them are the best. Read more to know the OP factions suitable for your gameplay!

The world within AFK Arena is populated with 7 unique factions, all with distinguishable qualities and strengths. Whether you are a complete beginner or have been playing AFK Arena for a while now and want to start a new account, this guide is for you!

In this article, the factions will be categorized into default factions and special factions. The four default factions, namely Lightbearers, Maulers, Wilders, and Graveborn, are the easiest to obtain due to their high availability in stores and events and their high pull rate in the Noble Tavern. On the other hand, the special factions include Celestials, Hypogeans, and Dimensionals. These special factions are very powerful but are expensive to pull for and build.

Let’s now dive deep into each faction!

Default Factions

1. Lightbearers

The Lightbringers, Belinda and Lucius

Lightbearers are heroes who long to spread goodness and light throughout Esperia and cast away evil. They are described as righteous heroes who serve in the name of Dura, the Goddess of Esperia. From thename itself, the Lightbearers’ appearances and abilities depict the theme of light and benevolence. They are heroes knowledgeable in magic use and are technologically advanced than other factions.

Lightbearer Details

Territory: Ranhorn City, Maldan
Enemies: Hypogeans, Maulers, Graveborn
Factional Advantage: Deals 25% more damage to Maulers
Disadvantage: Weak against Graveborn heroes
There are 23 playable heroes of the Lightbearer faction

Choose Lightbearers if…

You are only planning to invest in them during early and mid-game. Lightbearers have been declining in the meta due to their lack of strength and efficiency in the late to end-game. Additionally, there are a limited number of heroes who even make it to late-game for their potent skillset and survivability. If you were to invest in at least one hero of the Lightbearer faction, Rowan is a perfect choice – offering OP support reliability and is a staple in end-game teams.
You are an F2P and have no budget. AFK Arena is somewhat generous to its F2P players. As for the Lightbearer factions, they’re one of the easiest to obtain. From an F2P experience, I had built so many Lightbearer heroes by the time I reached late-game.

2. Maulers

Master and Apprentice, Brutus and Khasos

Maulers are beast-like heroes known for their monstrous strength. Maulers are known to be warriors and focus on might. They were created and exiled by Lightbearers. This caused insurmountable conflict between the two factions. A few Maulers are said to be affiliated with the Hypogeans, but the majority of them are deemed to be fighting for Dura. They are distinguished by their brawn, animal-like appearance.

Territory: Steelthorn Cliffs, Dura’s Gift, The Crimson Arena, The Land of the Exiles
Enemies: Lightbearers, Wilders, Hypogeans

Choose Maulers if…

You are an F2P and have no budget. Maulers are known to be at the bottom ranking of all factions due to their lacking great heroes and synergy. The only notable heroes in this faction are their Grand Chieftain, Skriath, and others like Safiya, Skreg, and Brutus. Maulers are somewhat good in the early and mid-game but only those mentioned above are worth investing towards late and end-game.

3. Wilders

The Dusk Patrollers, Lyca, Ira, and Kaz

Wilders are somewhat similar to Maulers due to their animal-like appearances. But they differ in terms of moral compass and upbringing. Wilders are known for their calm demeanor and are connected to nature. Some appear as human beings having animal features, while others are purely wild creatures. Some Wilders are melee and ranged heroes, while others have a grasp of sorcery that stems from the powers of nature.

Territory: Yggdrasil/The World Tree, Azure Cove, Forest Maze, the Burning Woods
Enemies: Maulers, Graveborn, Hypogeans

Choose Wilders if…

You are playing until the end game. Some Wilders are solid and reliable heroes since they can last through the challenging chapters of the end-game Campaign. Heroes like Lyca, Raku, Saurus, Eironn, and Tasi are worth building as their skillsets are outstanding and can survive long enough in the end game. But other Wilders are good enough that they can still be considered.
You are an F2P and have no budget. Again, these factions are easy to acquire, and Wilders are no exception to that. They are by far one of the best factions due to their incredible performance and as they don’t cost much.

4. Graveborn

Brains and Brawn, Silas and Izold

Graveborns are the undead heroes in AFK Arena and are known for their vengeful wickedness. The heroes of this faction are raised from the dead through necromancy and dark arts. Their appearances vary and stem from the qualities of skeletons, corpses, ghosts, and uncanny experimented monsters. There are no known unified objectives of the Graveborns towards other factions, except that they strive for immortality. There isn’t any evidence that says they are affiliated with the Hypogeans; some Graveborns even consider them enemies.

Choose Graveborn if…

You want to play the best default faction and play until the endgame. Graveborn is claimed by many players as the best faction among the four since the heroes are versatile and ultimately strong in the endgame Campaign, even for PvP Arena. Some of the heroes’ synergy with other factions are just OP. Noteworthy Gravebown heroes in the current meta are Thoran, Grezhul, Daimon, Ferael, Silas, and Oden.
You are an F2P and have no budget. Graveborns are quite rarer and have lesser pull rates than other factions like Wilders and Lightbearers, but they are more common and have a higher pull rate than the special factions. Nevertheless, to build them is to have yourself set up for success in the end game.

Special Factions

1. Celestials

The Resurging Flame, Awakened Talene

Celestials are majestic heroes who reside in the heavens. They served directly for Dura. Despite the Goddess’ death, they still protected mortals and strive to bring peace to Esperia by ending the Hypogean’s schemes. They are immortals or gods, some of which are based on different real-life mythologies. The distinguishable attribute among Celestials is their white and gold-themed appearance.

Factional Advantage: Deals 25% more damage to Hypogeans, adds Same Faction bonus to default factions
Disadvantage: Weak against Hypogeans

Choose Celestials if…

You are playing until the end game and ultimately want their skillset and roles. Celestials’ skills are slightly complex, but most used for a tanky frontline, buffer, and debuffer. Choosing a DPS from the Celestial faction narrows down to a few heroes like Alna, Talene, or Athalia.
You are planning to pay a lot of money. P2W (Pay-to-win) players, also called Whales, tend to spend loads of money in the game just to summon heroes and build them. Celestials are part of the special faction, which means they are very rare to get in the Noble Tavern. Players use the Stargazing Room to pull for Celestials heroes. Paying the game to get more resources to pull for your desired hero is costly. So think first before deciding to build Celestial heroes.

2. Hypogeans

The Insidious, Mortras

Hypogeans are the main villains of the game although they are still playable. They were created by the God of Death Annih using his blood. Their characteristics span from being nefarious and mind-controlling. The Hypogeans’ ultimate goal is to take over and spread evil across Esperia while destroying Dura’s creations. You are planning to pay a lot of money. Like the Celestials, Hypogeans are rare, and spending lots of money to pull for them is the only way to build them to their maximum potential. You may also want to wait until you have 10 Ascended heroes before using Stargazing Room to pull for Celestials and Hypogeans.

Dimensionals are heroes that come from a tear in spacetime which allowed them to travel to the dimension of Esperia. They are a really good addition to the game since they come from different shows or games. The collaboration makes players hyped particularly when they are fans of the collaborator. Dimensional heroes are somewhat easy to acquire since Lilith launches a limited-time event when they first release the hero. In this event, you must grind resources for weeks to buy a single copy of the hero. But don’t worry, Dimensional heroes are soul-fused – which means once you fuse them with an Ascended hero, the Dimensional hero will acquire the same level and Ascension level as the non-Dimensional hero.

The noteworthy heroes besting the Legends’ Championship Tournament include Ainz Ooal Gown, Albedo, Arthur, and Merlin. Ainz is, by far, the most OP DPS carry of the game.
You are either F2P or willing to pay. Acquiring the heroes from the store is quite easy but takes a huge amount of time (acquisition of resources). Additionally, having the right gear for Dimensional heroes is hard as the chances of seeing one in the store are slim. So Whales spend a lot of money to reset the store and find Dimensional gears. If you are an F2P, you best be patient in the process of grinding for and building your desired Dimensional hero. Whales can also buy Dimensional heroes in the Merchant tab.

Opening his eyes using Fiend points for the “Eye of Evil” ability will add stun to “Eviction”, strike lightning to the farthest enemy, and allow his normal attacks to decrease the enemy’s energy by 60 points.
His signature item “Vengeful Fury” buffs his attack rating and haste whenever he gains 200 Fiend Points which is gained from taking away energy points from enemies

This ability also grants energy points to allies. Her ultimate ability, “Star Shot”, fires a huge arrow that knocks back enemies and deals up to 260% damage.
Lyca’s signature item “Starfall” increases the team’s accuracy by up to 100 points at level +30. This also raises damage for every accuracy point an ally has.

What Makes Mehira Great

When you combine great CC and debuff abilities, as well as a dash of AoE damage and self-heal, you know you have created this beautiful madness – and Mehira owns that. She can also use “Whiplash” which deals up to 130% damage to enemies in front of her, and 50% of the damage is converted into her health. When she uses this ability on her allies, they will gain energy and haste. Mehira uses HP to spawn minions using her “Hellspawn” ability, but don’t worry, she’s good at healing herself.
Her signature item “Lash of Submission” will convert 10% of allies’ health loss into Mehira’s health. When she is at full HP, health received will be converted into energy.

6. Grezhul

Grezhul is a Graveborn strength-based tank who is known for summoning his minions while also being able to shield himself or his ally. This shield is deadly considering that, when it breaks, it deals damage to nearby enemies. Grezhul was one of the ignored heroes in the early and midgame, yet surprisingly bounced up the meta when furniture bonuses were introduced in the game. Almost all players agree that his furniture bonuses are the best in the entirety of the game. He is one of the core heroes of the Alna team comp which dominates the current endgame meta for both PvE and PvP.

What Makes Grezhul Great

Grezhul’s ultimate ability “Reanimate” allows him to cast a gravestone which has an AoE damage of 130%. Then he raises a skeletal warrior from the gravestone that attacks the enemy. This minion has the same level as Grezhul and loses health over time. Grez can debuff the damage output of the enemy and increase his attack ratings with “Demonic Assault.” Grezhul can also cast a shield to his furthest ally, and when it breaks, it deals up to 200% damage to surrounding enemies.
His signature item “The Slayer Blades” allows him to gain 20% HP when the skeletal warrior he summoned dies.
The furniture set bonus allows the ability “Shadow Shield” to deal damage when the ability ends, even when the shield has not been destroyed yet. This ability can now be applied to his minions.

5. Ainz Ooal Gown & Albedo

The only two Dimensional heroes in this list: Ainz and Albedo. They are crossover characters from the anime “Overlord”. These two should be inseparable – as Ainz, who deals massive damage, needs a very tanky protector, whom he can synergize with. Ainz Ooal Gown is an intelligence-based mage who generates incredible damage to all enemies on the battlefield. On the other hand, Albedo is a strength-based tank who can deal AoE damage and protect her allies, with one of her skills prioritizing Ainz.

These two are core heroes for the Ainz Team comp. This formation just waits for Ainz to use his ultimate while every ally, most importantly Albedo, protects him in the process. They are both currently in the meta and are among the highest favored heroes in PvP. They also do great in PvE Campaign.

What Makes Ainz Ooal Gown & Albedo Great

Ainz is by far the godfather of all Carry DPS heroes in AFK Arena. Just looking at the fact that his ultimate ability “Fallen Down” deals up to 580% of damage to all enemies will get you thinking that this hero is insanely broken. His other OP ability, “The Goal of All Life is Death”, decreases all enemies’ health by up to 55% when the battle reaches 24 seconds. He has a lot of other spells that he casts that are greatly damaging as well.
Albedo’s kit, on the other hand, revolves around shields and her tanky-ness. In particular, her ability “Shield Lord” lets her teleport to an ally that is near an enemy and deals up to 280% damage. This ability prioritizes Ainz if he is an ally above everyone else. She can also deal 300% AoE damage with her ultimate ability “Ginnungagap”. She can also generate shields for herself using “Black Guard”
Ainz’s signature item is just crazy OP since it deals extra 30% damage on his ultimate ability and removes its chanting phase the first 3 times it is used. Albedo’s signature item essentially raises the Defense by 25% and Attack ratings by 15% of all Dimensional allies for every Dimensional ally present in the team.
Ainz at 9/9 furniture now has 15 seconds until he casts “The Goal of All Life is Death”. Albedo’s 3/9 furniture bonus gives her an enraged mode where when Ainz dies or the first ally dies, she will be immune to CC and debuff, and 250% of her defense ratings will be converted to attack rating.

4. Thoran

Thoran the Fallen King is a Graveborn strength-based tank who is well-known for his ability to resurrect once after dying. His ultimate ability lets him absorb damage in a focused state and channel all the received damage onto his enemies. He also entails some CC and debuff effects on his skills. Thoran is by far the most resilient hero in AFK Arena. He is the core of the Thoran Cheese comp where his allies gather enemies around Thoran so that he could use his ultimate ability more efficiently. Thoran is considered the best hero right now for endgame Campaign, but he doesn’t do as much in PvP.

What Makes Thoran Great

Thoran is tanky for a fact. His skill set offers him healing as he receives damage, he’s like a thick wall in the front line. The ability “Taint” allows him to curse an enemy for up to 25 seconds, dealing damage that is 75% of the damage Thoran received. He also has “Resurrection” where he resurrects after death and can only be done once per battle. Executing this will restore up to 75% of his HP and stun enemies around him for 3 seconds. His ultimate ability “Retaliation”, which is OP, allows him to convert received damage in the focusing phase and deal this damage towards the enemy.
Thoran cannot be killed in the focusing phase of the first two times he uses “Retaliation” through his signature item “Vengeful Crown”
His 3/9 furniture bonus lets him pull enemies towards him when they are stunned by his ability “Resurrection”. This will be essential for proximity when he is ready to use his ultimate. Allies like Pippa, Kelthur help gather up enemies around him.

3. Lucretia

Now entering the top 3, we have Lucretia, a Hypogean agility-based ranger and wreaks havoc with her life leech, energy regeneration abilities, and AoE damage. You can literally just build her enough to be the star of the team and let her allies die so her attack ratings are increased. This is basically the gist of Lucretia cheese team comp, where you sacrifice allies at the right timing so Lucretia can be buffed and annihilate enemies. She is used everywhere, from PvE to PvP, due to the versatile attributes that let her shine on her own.

What Makes Lucretia Great

The enraged and still gorgeous hero can grant herself attributes that will lead to her long survivability and great damage. Her “Twin Terrors” skill lets her gain up to 80 Dodge points and 30 Tenacity points if she is positioned in the frontline. On the other hand, she gains up to 25 Attack Speed points and 35 Crit Amplification points when she is positioned in the backline. She can use these simultaneously.
The first time she uses her ultimate ability “Ungodly Defiance”, she increases her Life Leech by 40 points and energy recovery rate at 50%. The succeeding times she uses her ultimate, she will deal up to 320% AoE damage to nearby enemies.
This is where crazy things happen: her signature item “Dark Star” lets her gain 150 energy points, 8 Haste points, and an increased Attack rating by 50% for 20 seconds whenever one of her allies dies.
Her furniture lets her empower the flames for “Hellfire” and will remain with her until the end of the battle, while also decreasing energy recovery rates and disabling usage of ultimate abilities of the enemies stricken by the flames. Talk about OP, right?

2. Alna

Alna, the Frozen Mother, is a Celestial agility-based warrior who can cause freezing CC on enemies and also debuff them. She can also buff the ally standing with her on the frontlines. Alna is the core hero of her comp, along with the finest graveborn heroes. This team just annihilates with a very sturdy frontline. The comp has long dominated Championship Tournaments, and also the end game Campaign. Her astounding damage and durability have led to her dominating the meta in the end game.

The beauty of her furniture bonus is that it also offers protection for the other frontline hero, creating this thick wall of tanks. Having her furniture at 9/9, Alna can use her “Winter’s Call” ability on her fellow frontline hero.

Last but not least, we have Rowan. Debatable, but we all know he’s the best Lightbearer and the best support in the game. Players sometimes ponder why this hero is not a god yet generate these awesome attributes and skills. If you tried building and playing him, you’d see that he’s almost always the last one standing.

Rowan is a Lightbearer intelligence-based support who can attack with his pet fortune duck, heal his allies with potions, and grant them energy points. He is widely used in many team comps due to his versatility and long survivability as a support. Even if he’s been around for a long time in the game, he still is in the top heroes within the endgame meta. You best be including him whenever you fight in guild bosses, labyrinth, arena, and so much more.

Supports in the endgame are sometimes too squishy to even stay longer than 5 seconds. Rowan is so versatile you can even put him in the frontlines as a Pseudo-tank.
His ultimate ability, “Dazzle”, lets him throw out gold coins that can stun enemies for 4 seconds while his allies gain up to 70 energy points. His trusty fortune duck aids him by attacking an enemy multiple times for up to 80% damage while stealing their energy. He also has “Healthy Supplies”, healing potions that can be used by allies when their health drops to 50%.
His signature item “The Gold Chime” grants another potion, but this time an energy one which grants the ally up to a massive 400 energy points when drinking it. This can be restored every time Rowan sets up his stall.
When allies drink the health potions from “Healthy supplies”, his furniture bonus will allow them to regenerate 1% of their max health over 10 seconds.

Only use this team when the enemy backline is stationary so that Gwyneth can hit three enemies at once with her Flaming and Lightning Arrow. This team works efficiently from early-game to chapter 30, deemed less effective as you progress in the end-game.

What Makes Gwyneth Comp Great

This comp is easily acquirable because most of the heroes can be bought from the store with in-game currencies (Labyrinth Tokens, Gladiator Coins)
Gwyneth is the star of the team, dealing burn damage to the enemy backline with her passive “Flaming Arrow”, stun from “Lightning Arrow”, and AoE with her “Divine Arrow”.
Arthur’s SI raises the attack frequency of two characters standing behind him and leveling it to +30 allows more survivability of the team.
Similar to Arthur, Hendrik is a tank whose job is to push the frontline enemy to their backline, allowing Gwyneth to easily strike her arrows at more enemies. A good substitute for Hendrik is Rowan. Rowan is a great support with a high dodge rating, especially on T2 weapon and boots. Some players also pick Alna for this position.
Ferael is the sub DPS of this team; his Terrorize ability also offers CC. Unlocking the first Engraving ability for Gwyneth gives an additional second to the stun caused by Lightning Arrow, making the CC of the team more efficient.
Rosaline provides energy regeneration and raises Gwyneth’s attack rating.

This team comp, otherwise known as Burst or Zolrath comp, revolves around Zolrath’s burst damage and is used mostly in PVP. Zolrath deals great damage in both of his abilities and signature item. This formation works well in PVE too, particularly in the late or endgame. The core heroes of this team are Zolrath and Eironn.

What Makes Burst/Zolrath Comp Great

This team deals massive early damage and is one of the best comps that are competitive in the arena.
The synergy makes sense. Zolrath’s 3/9 furniture grants 0.75 seconds of delay to the enemies’ entrance. In turn, this prioritizes Eironn’s “Vortex” to take effect without interruption. Because of this, the enemies sucked by the “Vortex” are now near Zolrath's position, which allows him to hit multiple enemies with the last two attacks of his “Doppelganger” ability.
Lyca enters the battlefield earlier because of Zolrath’s furniture, allowing her “Awe” ability to take place immediately and grant haste to all allies.
Gwyneth’s auto attacks will deal burn damage to the enemies sucked by Eironn’s “Vortex” and stun them with her “Lightning Arrow” ability. A good substitute to Gwyneth is Zaphrael, dealing AoE damage and a 2-second stun from his 9/9 furniture.
Because Gwyneth’s attacks will damage the enemy positioned in (5), Lorsan’s “Gale Force” will be beneficial. “Gale Force” deals damage to linked enemies (i.e. hit the enemy in position (5), 80% of the damage will be received by the enemy in position (1)).

8. Talene + Rowan + Ezizh + Mehira + Elijah & Lailah

Renowned as the God comp, this team is fun to play. It generates continuous cancellation of enemies’ abilities and constant energy and health regeneration. This team used to shine a lot in the tournaments of the game’s early versions. Although, as you progress in the late or endgame of PVE, having level deficits (difference between the level of the enemy team and yours) larger than 100 would bring low survivability to the celestial twins.

The synergy of the team is simple: Rowan provides a lot of energy, and because of this, the celestial twins will be able to produce a lot of ultimate abilities having the whole team produce ultimates of their own at a faster rate.
The team’s stalling is heavy considering Mehira’s ultimate ability “Mesmerize” that CCs enemies for 5 seconds as well as Ezizh’s “Horrify” passive ability that will cancel enemies’ ultimate abilities for 2 seconds every time an ally uses an ultimate ability.
Talene will gain strength as the game progresses and provide a lot of health regeneration overall.

7. Lucretia + Zaphrael + Raine + Estrilda + Hodgkin

This team might as well be named the Husband and Wife comp since it consists of rivaling ex-couple Lucretia and Zaphrael. The team comp relies on both of their damage while being buffed and protected by the other heroes. Making its way as one of the most popular team formations for PVE, it promises great potential in the late and endgame. Also, Lilith’s rework on Raine has positively impacted her performance, making her one of the best picks for the endgame campaign or Wrizz.

What Makes Lucretia+Zaphrael Comp Great

This team comp is all about life leech, boosts of attack rating, and feeding Lucretia. Almost similar to the Lucretia Cheese comp, the team focuses on letting Lucretia gain as much attack rating as possible. This comp might as well be named Lucretia Cheese v.2.
Lucretia’s signature item increases her attack rating whenever her allies die. This is the funny reason why squishy heroes like Estrilda and Raine are placed in the frontline. The team literally has to sacrifice the frontline to buff Lucretia. Having Lucretia’s SI at +30 lets her gain a 50% Attack rating for 20 seconds whenever one of her allies dies the first time.
Raine’s SI focuses on buffing the ally with the highest combat rating. Her “Lock On” ability and ultimate ability “Cripple” allows her to mark enemies and increase the damage they receive. Estrilda almost does the same thing with the increase of attack rating, except, her abilities are focused on grouping the enemies for the benefit of Zaphrael and Hodgkin’s abilities.
The first thing Hodgkin does after entering the battlefield is his “Reviler’s Defiance”. This deals AoE damage while blocking damage to the frontline heroes, protecting and buffing them in progress. This skill also raises the defense and attack ratings of the allies standing within the area of effect, which is beneficial to Lucretia and Zaphrael who will be moving to the frontline to attack.
An alternative for Estrilda is Nemora for health regeneration. If replacing Hodgkin, Haelus works as good since he is a buffer who provides Life Leech points to the highest combat rating hero and has abilities that raise different stats like attack rating, crit damage, damage amplification.

6. Eironn + Skriath + Lyca + Lucretia + QUEEN

This classic five-pull comp evolved time and time again, remaining in the current meta with the addition of Lucretia and QUEEN. The gist of this team is to pull all five enemies into one area with the use of Eironn and QUEEN’s ultimate abilities, as well as Skriath’s 3/9 furniture. The team finishes off with their AoE capabilities, effectively hitting all enemies most of the time. In the past versions of the game, the team used to have Safiya for buff and AoE.

Both Eironn and Skriath are the core heroes of this team. With Eironn’s “Elemental Surge” ultimate and Skriath’s 3/9 furniture ability, the team gets a lot of manipulation to the enemy formation (with the slight exception of moving enemies like Tasi and Flora).
QUEEN’s ultimate ability “Stationary Drifter”, works like Eironn’s, pulling enemies to the center of the AoE while dealing damage to them. QUEEN is immune to attacks while performing this ability.
Lyca applieshaste to allies. Although squishy, her dying would still benefit the team due to Lucretia’s SI.

5. Ainz Ooal Gown + Albedo + Arthur + Merlin + Mortas

The Ainz comp synergy is simple to understand but wrecks hard. The team focuses on protecting Ainz until he uses his ultimate ability and activates his “The Goal of All Life is Death” skill. Other Ainz formations use Prince of Persia to replace Arthur, Leonardo to buff, and Alna. This team is widely used both in PVP and PVE for its powerful synergy. Although, it is expensive to build.

Both Arthur and Albedo are dimensional heroes, with the same faction advantage, they are tanky enough to protect Ainz. Arthur’s SI also provides haste for Ainz to gain energy faster. Albedo prioritizes her Shield Lord ability towards Ainz, stunning any enemy near him and dealing damage at the once.
Merlin is there to add factional advantage while healing and protecting allies. His 9/9 furniture allows him to use his “Destiny Foreseen” immediately upon entering the battlefield, it’s just powerfully advantageous to the team.
Mortas will also buff Ainz with his ultimate ability “Empowerment”, raising Ainz’s attack rating and speed even more. You can replace him with Ezio for clutch kills.

4. Lucretia + Eironn + Safiya + Orthros + Skriath

Since discovering her great potential, Lucretia Cheese comp has been wowing players, having its reputation for being a viable team in the end game. The only thing you need to focus on in this team is to max Lucretia. That said, this team is heavily reliant on Lucretia’s SI and furniture. This comp is similar to the five-pull comp and the other Lucretia teams in this list.

Although the frontline is to be sacrificed (again), Eironn still needs some investment to be able to do his job, as well as Orthros’ SI and furniture.

Safiya and Skriath do not need much investment but still contribute to the team’s purpose
Having Orthros at 9/9F would make Lucretia too powerful. While the enemies are affected with CC from Orthros’ SI and also in the animation of his skill “Time Suspension”, Lucretia would be able to move freely, dealing damage to the enemies while on CC.
Eironn and Skriath’s role is to execute pulls on enemies so that Lucretia would be able to use her AoE more effectively.
This comp is perfect if you are looking for a budget-friendly yet OP team. It’s like a hybrid of the two Lucretia teams previously mentioned in this list, only with fewer investments.
Adding 2 Hypogean characters with low investments would still benefit Lucretia (e.g. Mythic Ezizh) due to the same faction advantage, giving Lucretia a +15% Crit Rating. But when there is a high-level deficit, Eironn and Skriath are both crucial in this team.

3. Khazard + Mehira + Zolrath + Rowan + Rosaline

This team generates chain CC that disables the enemy team for almost the entirety of the stage. Currently highest among the most popular formations for Campaign, this team just wipes out the enemy team with Mehira’s charm.

The team is quite expensive to build since there is much investment towards the Hypogean faction. The core heroes of this team are Khazard and Mehira due to their CC potential.

Just the fact that the two core heroes would be supported with fast energy regeneration and haste, the team is sure to annihilate the enemy team with its CC chain.
Rowan is a dodge pseudo-tank that is suitable in the frontline, offering energy regeneration and a little bit of healing.
Rosaline is assigned to Mehira, and because of her immediate energy restoration, there would be continuous CC using Mehira’s “Mesmerize” ability on the enemy team (indirectly damaging them in the process).
Khazard’s “Frozen Mist” ultimate ability is a perfect addition to the CC caused by Mehira.
Zolrath will grant haste and early positioning of the allies, gaining the upper hand on generating more energy than the enemy team.

The synergy between Thoran, Lorsan, and Kelthur is about the manipulation of the enemy team’s positions. They surround Thoran and ultimately destroy them as Thoran gains more energy to ult.
Ezizh’s role is to provide protection in the frontline and cancel abilities by the enemy team. Other substitute heroes include Lyca for haste, Rowan for energy regeneration, and Nara for enemy position manipulation.

1. Alna + Grezhul + Ferael + Silas + Athalia

Last but not least, deemed as one of the greatest comps of all time, the Alna+Grezhul comp. Who would have thought that the Frozen Mother would synergize with the Graveborns?

Dominating both campaign and Legend’s Championship Tournament, this team has proved its versatility while dealing massive damage. The core heroes of this team are Alna and Grezhul, of course.

Silas provides healing and attack rating buff to allies. His 9/9 furniture ability will benefit not only melee characters but also Ferael and Athalia who are ranger characters He increases their Normal Attack damage by 50% and frequency by 30%.
Athalia is the sub DPS of the team, dealing attack damage and AoE with her furniture. Both she and Ferael provide CC to deny enemies of energy.
