This will cause Panam to end your friendship, but will make Saul incredibly grateful. The next time you drive to the Sunset Motel in the Badlands, Saul will text you and reward you with the “Coyote,” which you can find in the garage next to the motel.

A black version can be found for free in a seemingly random shipping container you find near Rocky Ridge in the Badlands. Finding this shipping container triggers the Murk Man Returns Again Once More Forever side quest. However, this will only be available after having completed the main mission Ghost Town and reaching 40 Street Cred.

1. Rayfield Aerondight S9 “Guinevere”(€$155,000)

Don’t worry about the lack of windows, Rayfield’s CyberDome tech’s got you covered.

Coming in first place, the most expensive vehicle that you can drive in all of Cyberpunk 2077 is…the Rayfield Aerondight S9 “Guinevere”. The Guinevere is a limited edition version of the Rayfield Aerondight S9, with only 150 units being produced and sold worldwide.

On par with its elitist accessibility, the names of the vehicle are allusions to medieval literary works. The limited edition Guinevere is an allusion to the figure of Guinevere in Arthurian literature, who was a powerful woman married (at different points) to King Arthur and Sir Lancelot. Even more obscure, the name Aerondight is an allusion to the name of a knight’s sword from a different medieval story.

Ignoring the rather pretentious names, the fact that only 150 units of this car were produced worldwide means only the wealthiest of the wealthy could afford this bad boy. The only reason V is able to get their hands on this vehicle is because its previous owner–the ambassador of Argentina–had to sell the vehicle for less than it was worth in order to flee his impending death.

Before Rayfield created the Caliburn, the Aerondight was the fastest car on the market. Although there are quite a few vehicles with comparable or even faster top speeds, Guinevere’s top speed of 190 MPH still keeps it at a respectable position on the list of fastest cars on the market. It also sports a windowless design to provide complete protection and privacy. The driver’s external view is projected inside the cabin of the vehicle with Rayfield’s CrystalDome technology.

It may look like any old shotgun, but this baby’s got some hidden features!

The Headsman is an Iconic variant of the Constitutional Arms M2038 Tactician Power Shotgun. This Iconic variant does not come with a stock, but it does come with a very unique modifier. The Headsman’s unique modifier increases the number of projectiles per shot from 6 to 16, increases the chance to dismember enemies, and increases the chance to apply the Bleeding effect. However, these bonus effects do come at the cost of increased reload time, reduced rate of fire, and reduced clip size.

The Mantis Blades are a brutal Cyberware Arm implant manufactured by Arasaka. The Mantis Blades consist of two blades, each of which is implanted into your forearm. What’s amazing about Mantis Blades is they remain retracted until you want to use them–making them a lethal surprise for your enemies. When the blades are extended, they resemble the forelegs of the Praying Mantis, hence their name.

Unlike most blades you can wield, Mantis Blades allow for unlimited Light Attack combos. Their Heavy Attack can also initial a Mortal-Kombat style finisher move on enemies with low health. Mantis Blades also allow you to block attacks from your enemies, and their integration into your body allows for easier movement than with any Katana you may wield. Plus, depending on the damage type you have equipped, you will have an added chance to apply a Status Effect to your target.

After doing so, reload the game and return to the Ebunike, where you unlocked a shipping container with Grayson’s key during Johny’s Chippin’ In side quest. Returning to the Ebunike, you will find Adam Smasher’s vault–and since you have the Access Token, you can now enter it. Inside his vault, you will find the Legendary Crafting Spec for Ba Xing Chong. **Since this is a Legendary Crafting Spec, you will need the Edgerunner Artisan perk unlocked in order to craft it.

Its unique modifier makes the weapon fully automatic, allows you to target up to 5 targets simultaneously (while you have Smart Link implant installed), adds additional chemical damage to bullets, and has a high chance to apply the poisoned effect. But that’s not all–the modifier also increases the chances that the bullets will miss the target and explode into a Bio-hazard cloud that is guaranteed to poison nearby enemies. Overall, if you have a Smart Link implant, the damage dealt by Divided We Stand is essentially doubled.

This katana once belonged to Goro Takemura, who gifted it to Sandayu Oda during Oda’s apprenticeship. It subsequently became Oda’s signature weapon–a visual standout for its nearly solid black color with the Arasaka logo on the blade rather than the hilt.

This weapon is great, because it has a unique modifier that increases critical chance by 100% while the Kerenzikov implant is active. It also causes the last strike of a combo attack to deal double damage. Furthermore, it deals double damage against enemies who have twice V’s current health.

In order to receive the full benefits of this weapon, make sure to have the Kerenzikov implant in your cyberware! Even if you don’t usually like melee weapons, give this one a try. The opportunities for double damage and one-hit kills makes it worth it!

What's OP About Jinchu-Maru:

How to Get Overwatch:

There are two ways to get ahold of Overwatch. Unless you’re willing to wait til the end of the game, you’re going to want to go for the first method: During Riders on the Storm, as long as you get Saul out safely, Panam will gift you Overwatch at the end of the mission. However, maybe something goes wrong. You still get a chance to get Overwatch. After completing the game with The Star ending, you’ll return to the “Point of No Return,” where you’ll be rewarded with Overwatch.

Not to be confused with Overwatch–although this bad boy can act as a silenced one-shot kill gun as well–the Overture is a Power Revolver manufactured by Malorian Arms (the same manufacturer that created Johnny Silverhand’s iconic gun). The Overture is a powerful, high-quality, double-action power revolver that holds six 0.42 caliber rounds. Offered at every rarity level, you can acquire this gun early on in the game and upgrade to higher rarity variants as you progress. Higher variants and higher character level have a profound effect on improving the weapon’s stats. By default, the weapon has glowing iron sights, but you can also install a scope and muzzle at Rare rarity or higher.

1. Headhunter

Now that’s a knife!

The Headhunter is an Iconic variant of the Punknife that was added in Patch 1.6. The Headhunter has a unique modifier that “marks” enemies when they are hit by the blade. On top of that, these marked enemies suffer 250% increased damage from a headshot. This means that if you throw the Headhunter at an enemy’s head, it is essentially an insta-kill (for most enemies). On top of that, (thanks to Patch 1.5) after you throw the knife at the enemy, the blade will return to you and clear the “mark”. The magical ability (maybe it's an undisclosed cyberware feature that links the knife to your hand) of the knife returning to your hand makes for truly OP stealth or midst-combat kills–whatever you prefer.

What's OP About Headhunter:

With a headshot damage multiplier of 250%, if you throw this at an enemy’s head, it’s basically an insta-kill.
After 6 seconds, the knife returns to your hand after throwing it at an enemy–or if you walk over their corpse, the knife will be returned to your hand and the cooldown time reset.
The insta-kill headshot paired with the knife magically returning to your hand allows you to stealthily traverse enemy territory (of course you can also use it effectively in the midst of combat).

10. Breach Protocol

A true netrunner could unlock all datamine tiers in one go!

Breach Protocol is installed by default on any and all cyberdecks. It allows you to break into enemies’ ICE (Net security), thereby allowing you easier access to use quickhacks against connected enemies and devices, in addition to uploading daemons to their subnet.

Breach Protocol functions as a mini-game that is part of quickhacking. Once you have initiated Breach Protocol, a new interface will appear that will allow you to unlock tiers of “datamines” that can reward eurodollars, crafting components, and potentially…quickhacks. Initiating Breach Protocol gives you access to the subnet, allowing you to upload up to 4 daemons that can infiltrate any connected enemies and/or devices.

What's Great About Breach Protocol:

Default on any and all cyberdecks.
Uploading the ICEpick daemon via Breach Protocol will reduce RAM requirement of all quickhacks by 1.
During Breach Protocol, you can obtain eurodollars, crafting components, and new quickhacks via the datamine tiers.

9. Ping

Batman-vision, commence!

Ping reveals enemies and devices that are connected to the subnet you have infiltrated. Think of it like Batman-vision–you can see all enemies and devices connected to the subnet, even if they are in other rooms.

After initiating Ping, you can then pin each enemy before Ping wears off–this will allow you to keep tabs on where the enemies are going, allowing you to stealthily plan your attack. If you’re not one for stealth, you can still use Ping to help you snipe enemies through walls, using tech weapons to do so. Additionally, if you upgrade Ping to its Rare, Epic, or Legendary variants, you can greatly increase the duration of the ping, allowing you more time to track your targets.

What's Great About Ping:

Very useful when trying to use stealth to sneak around enemies .
Helps you track enemies and enemy devices–for stealth or blasting through walls.
Only costs 1 RAM.
Batman vision that let's you see enemies through walls for a brief period of time (who doesn’t want to feel like Batman?).

8. Reboot Optics

Fade to black in 3, 2, 1…

Reboot Optics allows you to disorient targets by rebooting their optical cyberware, thereby causing temporary blindness. Upgrading to a Rare or higher level variant will unlock the additional ability to have the blindness spread to the nearest additional target within 8 meters. Increasing rarity will also increase the duration of the quickhack, leaving your enemy blind for a longer period of time. Lastly, if you upgrade to the Legendary variant, you will unlock the additional daemon that permanently distorts your target’s sight.

This quickhack–especially its upgraded variants–is very effective for navigating enemy territory stealthily, as you can slip by your blinded opponents. Or if guns blazing is more your style, you can still use Reboot Optics to interfere with your opponent’s ability to fight, by blinding them mid-fight (afterall, sudden blindness would make combat accuracy more difficult). To get your hands on the Reboot Optics quickhack, there are a couple gigs where you can pick up the Rare and Uncommon variants, as well as purchasing the Uncommon variant from various netrunners. To purchase the Rare variant, you can go to the ripperdoc in West Wind Estate. Higher variants can only be acquired through crafting specs.

What's Great About Reboot Optics:

Aids in stealthily traversing enemy territory.
Upgrading not only extends duration, but adds the effect of spreading to an additional target.
Upgrading to the Legendary variant adds the effect of permanent blindness on the intended target.

7. Weapon Glitch

Hey, why are you firing at me? You’re supposed to be on my side!

Just as the name implies, Weapon Glitch causes your target’s weapon to glitch out. Exactly how it glitches out may vary depending on the variant–sometimes it’ll just jam the weapon, sometimes the smart tracking and wall penetration will be disabled, spread to the next nearest target, and sometimes it might fire (or rather explode) in their direction. Whatever the case, it’s good for you!

The default duration for Weapon Glitch of uncommon rarity is 30 seconds, and that can be increased up to a whopping 57 seconds by spending attribute points in Intelligence, leveling up Quickhacking, and obtaining the Signal Support perk. Plus, the higher the variant, the better the additional effects–Rare adds the effect of spreading to the next target within 8 meters, Epic adds the effect of causing the target’s weapon to explode, and Legendary adds the passive effect of enabling the Weapons Jammer daemon during Breach Protocol.To get your hands on the Uncommon variant, you can purchase it for €$ 300 from Yoko Tsuru. Higher variants can only be acquired through crafting specs.

What's Great About Weapon Glitch:

If your health and/or ammo is low, Weapon Glitch buys you some time to re-up without taking damage from your target.
If you have the Rare variant, the Weapon Glitch will spread to the next target within 8 meters, buying you even more time.
If you have the Epic or Legendary variant, you can watch as your opponent’s weapon quite literally blows up in their face–entertaining and useful.

6. System Reset

This guy has no idea he’s about to take a nice, long nap.

Without a doubt, the least violent Ultimate Quickhack, System Reset causes the target’s cybersystem to reset, which means they are knocked unconscious from afar. This renders them useless in combat, in a manner that can help you maintain stealth (if that is what you are going for). If you use System Reset on any drone, robot, or mech, it will instantly destroy the machine.

By crippling the target’s nervous system, System Reset forces your target’s cybersystem to reset, rendering them unconscious. An added bonus is that the target will not make any noise when this happens, so stealth is not at risk. You can obtain System Reset blueprint during the Spellbound side quest with Nix. Then to get the necessary crafting component, you’ll need to complete Kold Mirage and choose to save Nix’s life.

What's Great About System Reset:

Allows you to render an enemy unconscious, from a distance.
The reset is quiet, so nearby enemies will not be alerted when your target loses consciousness (unless they were standing right next to them).
Helps you maintain stealth while getting past annoyingly stagnant gonks.

5. Suicide

Don’t mess with V--they might make you turn against yourself…

Suicide is one of the Ultimate quickhacks which–no surprise–causes your target to commit suicide. Initating Suicide will cause your target to forcibly remove their equipped weapon, aim it towards their head, and pull the trigger.

This can be incredibly useful if you are low on ammo or are up against a higher-level target–simply initiate the Suicide quickhack and your target will neutralize themselves. To get your hands on this lethal program, head to Yoko Tsuru in Kabuki, who will sell you the Epic variant for €$ 500. If you don’t want to pay, you can try your luck by neutralizing Voodoo Boys netrunners in Pacifica, although it is quite rare to find the Epic variant they may drop. The Legendary variant can only be acquired through crafting specs.

What's Great About Suicide:

Instantly neutralizes your enemy.
You can initiate this from afar, meaning your position is not necessarily given away if other enemies are nearby.
No wasted ammo or health.

4. Contagion

Plague Inc. anyone?

Contagion is not a quickhack to be trifled with. Once initiated on your target, Contagion will cause your target to take poison damage for a short time (default duration starts at 2.5 seconds and increases by spending attributes in Intelligence, leveling up Quickhacking, and unlocking the Signal Support perk). After the effect ends, Contagion will jump to at least one other target within an 8-meter radius. You can purchase the base Uncommon variant for €$1500 from any netrunner vendor or you can purchase the Rare variant for €$3000 from the netrunner in Vista Del Rey or Coastview. Higher variants can only be acquired through crafting specs.

Contagion’s contagious nature means that you can “infect” a small group of enemies fairly quickly, making it perfect for closely knit enemy groups. Additionally, if you combine Contagion with Request Backup quickhack and the Plague perk, you can quite easily wipe out a group of enemies.

What's Great About Contagion:

Deals non-lethal damage, so if you are trying to keep your target alive (such as a cyberpsycho), this can help you neutralize your target without killing them.
The poison damage spreads to up to 2 subsequent targets, making it very effective against closely grouped enemies.
Pairing Contagion with Request Backup quickhack and the Plague Perk can help you easily wipe out closely grouped targets.

3. Short Circuit

Boy’s about to get zapped!

Short Circuit is an effective, but inexpensive Combat quickhack that you can obtain fairly early on in the game. Short Circuit causes moderate non-lethal electric damage to the target (making it perfect for all targets, including cyberpsychos who you want to keep alive).

The Short Circuit is useful early on in the game, before you obtain its more rare variants. Then when you get its Rare or higher variant, you get the added effect of an EMP applied to the target, causing their cyberware to malfunction for several seconds. Starting at the Epic variant level, you apply an additional 30% damage to enemies below a High threat level. Lastly, the Legendary variant adds an effect that when you get any critical hits, it adds the short Circuit electric damage, making it very powerful in combat.

What's Great About Short Circuit:

The damage is practically instant.
The damage is non-lethal electrical damage, making it perfect for human and robotic targets, as well as targets you do not want to kill (such as cyberpsychos).
The Legendary variant’s added effect (applying the tier 1 effects whenever you get a critical hit) is incredibly useful and powerful!

2. Cyberpsychosis

Nothing says Night City like looting a random corpse, only to find a program that allows you to infect people with Cyberpsychosis…

Cyberpsychosis is quite a quickhack–initiating it induces a cyberpsychotic state on the human target, causing them to attack anyone in sight–friend or foe. If used on drones, robots, or mechs, they will turn friendly and attack your enemies. Once no enemies remain, the target will commit suicide. This quickhack can be found on Voodoo Boys netrunners in Pacifica, bought from Chang Hoon Nam after complementing the Gig: Wakako’s Favorite, or if you’re lucky, acquired from access points (odds increased with the Datamine Virtuoso perk).

Aside from the obvious (neutralizing targets), this quickhack can also be used to create a diversion in order to sneak by some enemies (while neutralizing some in the process–a double win).

What's Great About Cyberpsychosis:

Turns your target against other enemies, which can cause multiple enemies to be taken out rather quickly (and without you sparing a bullet).
Target will commit suicide after all nearby enemies are eliminated.
Can serve as a great diversion, allowing you to sneak about while reducing your enemy’s ranks.

Cyberpsychosis Details:

1. Detonate Grenade

This guy’s night is gonna be da bomb!

Detonate Grenade is another Ultimate quickhack, similar to Suicide, in that it lethally neutralizes the target. However, with Detonate Grenade, you cause a grenade to detonate on the target’s person. The blast of the grenade can also kill enemies in the near vicinity of your target, meaning you can take out multiple enemies at once (if you time it right). However, the exact nature of the damage depends on the type of grenade the target is carrying–which you can determine by scanning the enemy and looking at the Data tab. The Epic variant of this quickhack can be dropped by Voodoo Boys netrunners in Pacifica or if you are very lucky (increase your odds with the Datamine Virtuoso perk), you can obtain this bad boy from access points.

Although the damage type can be a bit of a wild card, the fact that you can potentially take out multiple enemies at once with a quickhack is nothing to scoff at. This can be a huge help in taking out more advanced enemies, allowing you to save your ammo for the lower level enemies. If you want to cause a distraction, this can also be a great way to simultaneously eliminate some enemies while causing an explosive distraction that allows you to stealthily traverse the opposing area.

What's Great About Detonate Grenade:

Allows you to neutralize your target from afar.
Depending on the type of grenade they are carrying, and their proximity to other targets, you can neutralize multiple targets at once.
This explosive kill causes a great distraction if you need to sneak around…or if you want to make a memorable entrance.

Night City is full of adventure. You never know when an interesting opportunity will present itself. Friends, strangers, even celebrities will reach out to you with some pretty odd requests. If you want to learn more about some strange journeys you can enjoy, check out these top 5 strangest side quests in Cyberpunk 2077!

5. Machine Gun

What a snarky smart pistol.

In a seemingly random alley in Night City, you'll get the opportunity to find the very unique, artificially intelligent smart pistol, Skippy. After you pick him up, you will choose which mode you want Skippy to operate on–Puppy Loving Pacifist or Stone Cold Killer. However Skippy is a cunning little punk, because whatever mode you choose first will be unavailable after your 50th neutralization–he permanently switches to the opposite mode after you get 50 neutralizations!

The fact that you find a random artificially intelligent smart pistol that has a distinct personality (he’s a snarky little bugger) is strange enough. But the fact that he has two modes–Puppy Loving Pacifist and Stone-Cold Killer–and whichever you choose first is permanently unavailable after 50 neutralizations is even more strange. Let’s not forget the random fun facts, commentary, and humming of Disturbia to make the wait time less awkward! Guess this is what can happen when you roam about alleyways in Night City!

4. Epistrophy

Delemain sure is a lot more complicated than he first appeared.

What makes this quest so fun, and strange, is how mysterious it starts off, before it gets progressively more complicated and entertaining. To backtrack, the quest starts when a rogue Delemain cab wrecks your car in a parking garage. Delemain asks you to visit HQ to resolve the matter, which is where he propositions you to locate and bring back these “rogue” Delemains affected with a virus. As you do so, you come to realize that these rogue Delemains may not have a virus, but rather, may be in the process of becoming sentient individuals. Regardless, the distinct personalities (including a GLaDOS easter egg) are quite entertaining…and always odd.

Tracking down a taxi service’s rogue taxi’s who have all become sentient and developed distinct personalities…a bit stranger than your average gig or snatch and grab. The premise of the quest is quite strange, as are the different Delemain personalities you meet.

3. Sinnerman

Didn't see that ending coming…

What starts as a gun for hire gig quickly spirals into something else entirely. You end up working with the death row inmate who was your initial target. Seeing his request through ends with you crucifying the man while it's being recorded on BD tech to be distributed to the masses.

I don’t know about you, but crucifying a death row inmate and recording it live for all the world to experience seems pretty strange, even for Night City.

2. Burning Desire

Now that's gotta hurt!

You hear a strange man screaming in pain, hailing you over for assistance. All you know is he’s in pain, holding onto his crotch for dear life, and offering to pay you if you take him to a ripperdoc. Who could pass on that opportunity?

This is by far the most ridiculous quest in the game…a pantless stranger cries out for help, only for you to learn that his penis cyberware implant is malfunctioning, causing electric shocks throughout his body…this interaction opens up a world of strange questions one would never normally ask themselves. Plus, the character is modeled after and voiced by a Youtuber named Jesse Cox, so now a cameo has entered the mix on this electrifying adventure.

1. The Hunt

Curiouser and curiouser.

At first glance, this quest may not seem that strange. However, the further you go down this rabbit hole, the stranger this quest gets. In order to track down Randy (River’s nephew), you have to find clues to his connection to his abductor, Anthony (alias “Peter Pan”). Once you find the incredibly disturbing cow cartoon (see the main image), you use that to trigger dreams in the comatose Anthony (with experimental technology that River forces the tech to use). Doing so, you have to relive the serial abductors/killer's dreams, which are made up of his memories. However, doing so allows you to track down Anthony’s hideout and rescue Randy.

Working with a (former) NCPD detective to track down his nephew, who was kidnapped by a now comatose serial abductor and murderer, and being forced to relive the serial killer’s dreams in order to find the victim is definitely out of the ordinary. Plus…the nature of Anthony’s demented methods is incredibly strange and disturbing–he treats all the runaway boys that he lures to his farm as cows that he wants to “help” by pumping them full of animal hormones and steroids...He clearly has some deep-rooted child-hood trauma which makes him want to become a Peter Pan figure, which is revealed through his dreams, alias, and his cow prod which he names “Tinkerbell”. What a twisted tale…

Any good video game has at least a handful of easter eggs…whether they be references to other video games, movies, or other significant pop cultural information…However, Cyberpunk takes it up a notch, with upwards of 30 easter eggs in-game! 30. Cameos

An auto-repairing nomad, classy video game designer, stranger with an electrifying crotch implant, and garbage-bag wearing prophet? Who else do we have in store?...

It’s no surprise that Cyberpunk has some preem cameos. Throughout the game, you can find cameos of: Mike Pondsmith, Hideo Kojima, Alanah Pearce, Jesse Cox, CohhCarnage, and Grimes. 29. Toris Amos: Muhammed My Friend

Do drop in.

The Dewdrop Inn is a motel chain in Night City. The name is an obscure reference to a song called “Muhammed My Friend” by Tori Amos. The name specifically references the lyrics, “do drop in at the dew drop inn”. If you wanna get a peak inside the motel, take up El Capitan’s Gig: Side Effects, which involves you going inside the Dewdrop Inn to retrieve some valuable beta acid (whatever that is).

28. Demolition Man: Three Seashells

Seems like a painful and inefficient replacement for toilet paper if you ask me…

Inside V’s apartment, if you go behind the beads in the bathroom, you’ll find a toilet with three seashells in place of toilet paper. This is a reference to the movie Demolition Man, in which seashells are used instead of toilet paper. The how’s and why’s of which remain a mystery to us all.

27. Hidan no Aria: Aria H. Kanzaki

Yes, some of the street names are in fact easter eggs and not random names.

Hidan no Aria is an anime about a descendent of Sherlock Holmes, named Aria H. Kanzaki. In reference to the pink-haired Butei, one of the streets in Japantown is named H. Kanzaki.

26. Jovem Nerd: Ozob Bozo

V vs. Ozob in a fist fight–who will win?

You may be familiar with the unique character Ozob Bozo, but what you may not know is that he is actually inspired by a character from a Brazilian tabletop RPG podcast, called Jovem Nerd. If you want to meet this character, you’ll get two side quest possibilities to do so–the first is a side quest called Send in the Clowns, in which you drive Ozob to “pick up some Chinese takeout” which turns into fighting off some Tyger Claws so he does not die; the second opportunity you have to interact with Ozob is when you have the chance to fist fight him during the Beat on the Brat questline–be careful with this one, because his nose is not just a prop…

25. The Shining: Room 1237

Redrum, redrum!

In the first fully fledged mission, The Rescue, you and Jackie must infiltrate a scav hideout in order to rescue Sandra Dorsett, who has been kidnapped to be used as a “donor”. The room you must infiltrate is room number 1237, which alludes to The Shining’s infamous room 237, which torments Danny Torrance. Additionally, Sandra Dorsett is found nearly dead in a bathtub, and in The Shining, one of the haunting images of room 237 is a dead woman in a bathtub.

24. Grand Theft Auto:

Did I accidentally load GTA instead of Cyberpunk?

The first GTA easter egg is Night City’s version of Grove Street. This little cul-de-sac looks incredibly similar to GTA V’s Grove Street. To find it, head to the Alumnecar & Jerez fast travel point in Rancho Coronado and around the corner you’ll find this gang-ridden cul-de-sac that is eerily reminiscent of Grove Street.

Damn it CJ! I mean JC!

In addition to Grove Street, you can also find a datashard that contains a conversation referencing GTA: San Andreas. To find the shard, head to the Trailer Park fast travel point in Red Peaks. There will be a train track nearby–if you approach the tunnel, you’ll find two bodies on the ground, and a crashed motorcycle. Loot them to find the datashard where you can read the conversation between “JC” and “Little Smoke” (playing on the character names CJ and Big Smoke) about trying to catch a train, before JC makes a critical error, causing Little Smoke to tell him, “all you had to do was follow the damn train, JC!”.

23. Cowboy Bebop: Characters Held Hostage

Wonder how it turned out for them…

An easter egg for the anime Cowboy Bebop is particularly fitting for Cyberpunk 2077, as the anime is also set in a dystopian future in the 2070s. To find this easter egg, you must come across a hostage situation in eastern Rancho Coronado, where a nearby computer will provide details of the crime, along with the names of the targets. The names “Faye Spiegel,” “Spike Valentine,” and “Jet White,” are among the targets, and these names are nods to some of the main characters of Cowboy Bebop.

22. CD Projekt Red Development Team

Considering the other secret rooms we infiltrate throughout the game, this is quite endearing.

Like many video games, Cyberpunk 2077 includes an easter egg to shout out to their development team members. To find it, you'll have to head to the north-east sign in the Kabuki roundabout. There will be a staircase near the neon hotel sign–head down the stairs towards a closed shutter door in the corner. To get in, you’ll need to input the access code 605185 (this code was actually included in the message from CD Projekt Red which is included in every copy of the game). Once you head in and sit on the couch, Johnny will play a couple songs. Turn on the TV and you'll see selfies from all the development team members.

21. Rihanna: Disturbia

Guess we know who Skippy likes to listen to.

Skippy, the artificially intelligent gun is always fun to be around. What you may not know is that he likes to hum the tune to Rihanna’s song Disturbia.

20. Mad Max: Fury Road

Dystopian crossover for the win!

While exploring in the southernmost part of Night City, you’ll come across this militarized vehicle that alludes to the war rig from Mad Max: Fury Road. Upon your arrival, you will also find corpses that resemble Furiosa and Immortan Joe, as well as a datashard that includes a conversation between Charlize Fury and Dakota Smith, talking about a wounded Max and “the girls” all being pregnant–crucial to the plot of Fury Road.

19. Fallout: Vault 101 LARPers

Looks like leaving the bunker was not such a good idea…

Being another sci-fi dystopian RPG, the Fallout series is incredibly fitting as an easter egg for Cyberpunk. This particular easter egg is a bit meta, as the two corpses you come across in front of the 101 “vault” were in fact LARPers role-playing a post-apocalyptic scenario in which they left the safety of bunker 101 to explore the wasteland. To find this easter egg, use the Regional Airport fast travel point in the Badlands. Then you’ll head roughly 650m east and 750m south-west in order to come across this LARPing gone wrong.

18. The Office US: Surgeon from Japan in Side Quest Big in Japan

The rest of his backstory may be surprising…

For fans of The Office (US), check out the mission Big in Japan, where you will get introduced to Haruyoshi, who is a brain surgeon from Japan. His back story is incredibly similar to the Japanese heart surgeon that Darryl saves in season six of The Office.

I guess the lesson is, if you’re a gang leader in need of surgery, try to stay on the surgeon's nice list.

17. Harry Potter: Platform 69 ¾ Graffiti

Judging by the blood on the wall, I’m guessing this is not a magical passageway to a wizarding train station.

Who can resist a Harry Potter easter egg? This easter egg involves some graffiti on a wall near the Pumping Station in Wellsprings. The graffiti reads, “Platform 69 ¾,” which is a more adult version of Platform 9 ¾ which is used throughout the Harry Potter series, as characters travel to Hogwarts. In the series, you must run at the wall between Platform 9 and 10 in order to pass through the magical barrier and enter Platform 9 ¾. Judging by the blood on the wall and the corpse on the ground, I’m guessing this wall does not function in the same way. Another fun tidbit is that in the initial launch, NPCs would run into the wall–seemingly forever.

16. Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull: Refrigerator Man

Looks like Indiana didn’t make it out of this one.

Who can forget the iconic scene in Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull where Indiana Jones survives a nuclear blast by jumping into an empty refrigerator? It’s been referenced countless times, and here it is in Cyberpunk 2077. To find this easter egg, use the Medeski Fuel Station travel point and head north, further into the Badlands. Before you reach the crossroads, you’ll find a fridge with a corpse in it, his cowboy hat laying next to him. If you pick up the datashard on the corpse, you’ll discover a conversation that references when Mythbusters busted the myth that anyone could survive a nuclear blast by hiding in a refrigerator.

So hopping into a refrigerator cannot actually protect you from a nuclear blast? Good to know.

15. Terminator 2: Judgment Day: Truck Chase Scene

So many crashed vehicles and corpses…or a corpse and a cyborg?

If you’re a fan of the Terminator series, you’ll instantly recognize this easter egg. In the sewers near Arasaka Industrial Park in Rancho Coronado, you’ll come across this deadly crash scene, including a truck, motorcycle, corpse, and cyborg–this is referencing the truck chase scene in Terminator 2: Judgment Day. You'll come across a datashard with a conversation that explains the need to keep Jimmy O’Connor alive, which will be incredibly difficult given the fact the enemy has undergone intense cyborgification.

14. Blade Runner: Tears in Rain

A sad man sitting shirtless in the rain is never a good sign.

It’s only fitting that Cyberpunk 2077 include some references to Blade Runner, an iconic cyberpunk film. One of the most iconic scenes is the “Tears in Rain” monologue by Roy Batty. During this scene, he has a white dove with him. If you head to the rooftop of the Advocet Hotel in Vista Del Rey, you’ll find a water-soaked character that looks incredibly similar to Roy..and also happens to be holding a bird.

What a dramatic scene. If only this unknown figure blessed us with a powerful monologue.

13. Half Life 3: “No Life” Data Shard

Well 50 years between titles is still better than never, right?

During the The Heisenberg Principle side quest (a reference to Breaking Bad), you can collect a data shard which suggests that the much awaited third and final installment of the No-Life video game series is set to release the following day. This a clear reference to the fact that the third installment in the Half-Life series was canceled, then a similar sequel rumored to be in the works, with no clear evidence that that will ever be released. If it does, who knows how many decades it will take? Similarly, according to the datashard, fans of No-Life had to wait 50 years for No-Life 3 to release–a cruel, but fitting joke for fans of Half-Life.

The real question is…will No-Life 3 actually release? Or will it follow the path of its real-life cousin and be postponed or canceled yet again?

12. The Matrix:

Wonder what we’ll have lots of?

Dystopian sci-fi and Keanu Reeves go hand-in-hand, and Cyberpunk 2077 is not shy to reference some key sci-fi flicks that also star our favorite silver-armed rockerboy in real life. There’s a couple of references to The Matrix, the first of which can be found on the Just Ads TV channel. Wait a bit and you’ll find a “Clothes, lots of clothes” ad that references a scene from The Matrix that includes the same line. This ad is particularly noticeable during the There is a Light That Never Goes Out side mission, when you are in Zuleikha’s house.

The red pill or the blue pill–which will you choose?

One of the most iconic moments in The Matrix, a moment that has been referenced countless times, is the red pill or blue pill scene, so it’s perfect that Cyberpunk 2077 included a reference to it as well. When you let Johnny take control of V’s body for the first time, he goes on a bit of a bender. You get bits and pieces of his rampage, including a scene where a mysterious man in a black coat offers Johnny a blue pill or a red pill. The meta nature of this scene adds to the satisfaction of this easter egg, as Johnny (played by Keanu Reeves) is put in a nearly identical position as Neo (played by Keanu Reeves) in The Matrix.

11. Die Hard & Dirty Harry: Joan McClayne & Henry Callahan

Wonder who these law enforcement officials could be?

During River Ward’s Following the River side mission, you will get the chance to play an AR game with his niece and nephew. When his niece and nephew put on their headsets, they become Joan McClane and Henry Callahan–referencing protagonists John McClane from Die Hard and Harry Callahan from Dirty Harry.

10. Romancing the Stone: Colby “Little Mule”

Now that’s a car you want to ride out the apocalypse in.

If you’re a fan of 80’s romcoms, then you may recognize this nova car. This Colby “Little Mule '' is a replica (albeit not identical) of the Little Mule car featured in the 80’s romcom Romancing the Stone. If you’re interested in owning this ride, you can purchase it in the Badlands.

9. Dukes of Hazzard: General Lee

“Buckle up, ladies, this might get exciting.”

This car might look familiar…and that’s because it’s the iconic General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzard. If you want to race and roam in style, head over to Rancho Coronado, where you can purchase this classic car for 58,000 eddies.

8. Portal: GLaDOS

The cake is gone.

You can’t resist breaking into a smile when hearing GLaDOS’s voice outside of Portal. So the fact that one of Delemain’s rogue vehicles takes on the voice and attitude of GLaDOS during the Epistrophy mission is very satisfying. Specifically, approach the rogue Delemain vehicle in Coastview and you’ll hear a voice that is identical to GLaDOS. On top that, this GLaDOS Delemain makes a “the cake is gone” reference to drive the easter egg home.

7. Mortal Kombat: Scorpion

Get over here!

If you’re a fan of Mortal Kombat, you’ll love this easter egg! Complete Mitch’s I’’ll Fly Away side mission and he’ll reward you with Scorpions’ weapon and action figure. The action figure is identical to Scorpion from Mortal Kombat and it will appear in V’s apartment after you receive it. Plus, if you scan the figure, you’ll find the brand is “KO Kombat”.

6. Akira & Ghost in the Shell: Kusanagi CT-3X

Vroom vroom! Gonks know they can’t catch me!

If you’re a fan of Japanese sci-fi and anime, you’ll love this bike! The Yaiga Kusanagi CT-3X is not only one of the best motorcycles in the game, but is also a replica of Shotaro Kaneda’s bike from Akira. If the name Kusanagi sounds familiar, it’s because the bike is named after Major Motoko Kusanagi from the anime Ghost in the Shell. If you’re interested in owning this preem bike, you can buy it from Wakako in northern Japantown for 58,000 eddies. Don’t pass because of the price–this is literally the fastest motorcycle in the game!

5. Batman: The Batmobile

It looks like Night City’s got a brooding billionaire vigilante of its own.

With this easter egg, you can live out your fantasies of being a brooding billionaire vigilante. You’d have to be a fool to pass on this Batmobile replica. If you use the Sunset Motel fast travel point in the Badlands and travel north into the tunnel, you will find a shipping container about halfway through the tunnel. Inside the tunnel is the Batmobile, which automatically gets added to your inventory of cars. Additionally, you can find a datashard on the table that is full of Batman references, including the owner, who refers to himself as “Murk Man”.

Styled after the Batmobile, one of the fastest cars in the game, and you don’t have to pay a single eddie for it?! I must be dreaming.

4. John Wick: Normal-looking Hitman with a Dog

A hitman carrying around a little dog…sounds familiar.

Having another Keanu Reeves film reference is always fun. During Wakako’s Olive Branch gig, you’ll meet a man named Sergei, who tells you about a hitman who looked “normal - beard, brown shoes…” and “he also [had a] little dog” with him. If you’ve never seen the John Wick franchise, Keanu Reeves is titular character, and without spoiling, the premise of the first film involves his little dog…

How To Find the John Wick Easter Egg:

Although the referenced hitman was nothing breathtaking, I’ve heard he’s a menace with a pencil.

3. Breaking Bad: The Heisenberg Principle

“This is my own private domicile and I will not be harassed!”

If you’re a fan of Breaking Bad, you’ll love Regina’s Gig: The Heisenberg Principle. The gig requires you to infiltrate and destroy a drug lab that manufactures a drug called “glitter” (described very similarly to Walter White’s meth in Breaking Bad). Plus, the gig’s name is a reference to Walter White’s alias, Heisenberg.

They seem like “insane, degenerate piece[s] of filth” who deserve to die.

2. The Witcher Series:

Cyberpunk Witcher gear–yes please!

If you’re a fan of The Witcher franchise, hopefully you got your hands on this nova pre-order bonus! Modeled after Geralt’s Wolf School gear, with a cyberpunk twist, there’s a t-shirt and a sleek jacket. Another Witcher piece of the bonus is the cyber-enhanced Shupe the Troll plushie, which is in reference to a troll of the name and similar design, from The Witcher franchise. The last Witcher piece of the bonus is the Black Unicorn katana, which is a reference to the Black Unicorn sword in Witcher 2 and 3.

Now for a Corpo-only Witcher easter egg. If you selected the Corpo lifepath, in the prologue when you are upstairs, you can visit your work station before leaving. If you do so, open your office desk drawer and you’ll find a few items inside, including a Retro Gaming magazine that has Ciri on the cover, promoting The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Is this loot hiding technique genius or ridiculous?

Who wants to spend their time searching for loot caches with nothing special inside? Geralt and V apparently. In reference to the underwhelming Smuggler’s Caches from The Witcher 3, you can go on a quest to find underwhelming loot caches in Night City. To do so, you first have to go to the long pier in northwest Pacifica (there will also be a cyberpsycho sighting here). You must run alongside the pier until you come across stairs leading to a floating platform on the right. Below, you will find a dead body with a note recalling the frustration of trying to find all the Smuggler’s Caches (he only had one left!).To find the remaining cache, you’ll use the clue in the note to swim towards the overpass above the platform, where you’ll find three barrels with loot boxes attached to them underwater.

Roach in her 4-bit era.

In the Witcher franchise, Geralt names all his horses (usually mares) Roach. In Night City, you can find a series of arcade games called “Roach Race,” in reference to Geralt’s horse(s). On top of that, there is also an ad for something called “Milf Guard,” which is a play on the country of Nilfgaard from the Witcher franchise.

Don’t be fooled by the damaged appearance of this weapon–it deals a lot of damage!

In The Witcher 3: Heart of Stones DLC, you fight a formidable and very disturbing boss, called the Caretaker, who uses a damaged spade to dig up bodies, as well as a weapon to try to kill you with. If you want to get your hands on this weapon in Cyberpunk 2077, you can obtain it for free during the Knocking on Heaven’s Door mission.

1. Cyberpunk Edgerunners:

The largest patch to date–patch 1.6–was nicknamed the Edgerunner’s Update because of the additional content related to the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime, which released around the same time. Edgerunners takes place in the same Cyberpunk verse as Cyberpunk 2077, only a bit prior to V’s storyline, and following different characters. As such, Cyberpunk 2077 and Cyberpunk Edgerunners work in tandem with one another, but can also be enjoyed as stand-alone stories. However, if you’ve seen Edgerunners, you’ll be pleased to here that there are upwards of 13 different easter eggs related to Edgerunners alone.

No this is not a stack of shipping containers, it is in fact an apartment complex.

Let’s start off with David’s apartment. Afterall, David Martinez is the main character in Edgerunners. His apartment can be found in Santo Domingo, Arroyo. Start by using the Metro: Wollesen Street fast travel point, then head down the stairs and to the left you’ll see a tall blue and yellow building with “No Entry” written across it. Unfortunately, you cannot enter the building, but, if you want to get a sense for what an in-game version of his apartment interior would be like, V’s first apartment is actually designed very similarly to David’s apartment, which makes sense considering the fact that most Megabuildings use the same (or similar) designs.

It may look like any other ripperclinic, but this is where David Martinez got cybered up!

In a similar area as David’s apartment, you can find his RipperDoc’s clinic. This time, use the Mission Waterfront fast travel point in Santo Domingo. After arriving, simply walk down the pier and you’ll notice a building with a “RipperDoc Open” sign above the door. Although you can go inside to see where David got all his cybermods, and you yourself can get cybermods, his ripperdoc is not in the building. Maybe he moved?

Look at that view!

Yay another apartment we can enter! Edgerunner Kiwi’s apartment is located in the Watson district in Kabuki. You can easily find it by using the Sutter Street fast travel point and heading left until you see a large glass building with the words Yaiba on it. There is a small alleway on the right of the building. Go through the door and take the elevator up to the 13th floor. Here you’ll be able to explore the apartment Kiwi you used to live in–this is also the same building that Regina Jones uses in V’s storyline.

Inside this colorful apartment complex lived a colorful and snarky edgerunner.

Now here’s an apartment we can actually enter! To do so, first you have to complete the Scrolls Before Swine gig near the Longshore North travel point in Watson. During the gig, you’ll have to choose the dialogue that provokes Aaron into figitin–after you kill him you will be able to enter his apartment, which is the apartment Rebecca used to live in. Once you’ve done that, you can enter her apartment by using the Longshore North fast travel point–her apartment building is directly across the street. Once you go inside, head to the second floor, turn left, go past the vending machine, take another left, and you will find the door with an access panel near it–this is her old apartment.

Looks like a nice hangout spot for the crew.

Now let’s look for the David and his crew’s favorite hangout spot–Turbo Bar. Start by using the MegaBuilding HB fast travel point in Westbrook, Japantown. Simply head towards the right and down towards the water and you’ll see the Turbo Bar right on the corner!

Living in luxury!

Later in the anime, David and Lucy get a luxury apartment. Unfortunately, the apartment is only accessible in the Path of Glory ending scene–as V’s Luxury apartment.

What a preem spot for brooding as you look across the water.

If you’re in the mood for jogging, brooding, or taking some preem screenshots, Lucy and David’s jogging spot is perfect for you. Start by using the Corporation ST fast travel point in City Center Downtown. Run down the pier, past the gangoons, and down the stairs.

What a quirky building design!

Right across the street from the Turbo Bar is where you’’ll find Lucy’s apartment. Unfortunately, you cannot enter the building itself, but if you have the right cybermods and do some parkour, you can get to the roof of the apartment building, where some iconic and visually stunning moments occur in the anime.

If you want to visit another of David’s hangout spots, head over to Santo Domingo in Rancho Coronado. Use the San Amaro Street fast travel point, make a right, then as soon as you pass the freeway overpass, enter the complex across the street, make a right, and you’ll come across David and Maine’s Chop Shop hangout spot.

If you have watched the anime, you’ll know the infamous Buck-a-Slice Diner. To find it’s updated location (with patch 1.6) use the Republic East fast travel point in Santo Domingo. You can’t miss the teal and yellow building with its neon Buck-a-Slice sign.

The Afterlife is featured pretty heavily throughout Edgerunners, but there is a specific easter egg you can get if you order a drink from Claire in-game. Simply use the Afterlife fast travel point, head down towards the bar and order a drink from Claire. You’ll notice a new drink called “The David Martinez”.

Legends get drinks named after named…so you know what that means.

One of the most iconic weapons from the anime is Rebeca’s shotgun, and lucky for us, it’s accessible for free in the game! To find her shotgun, you need to first use the Arasaka Tower fast travel point in City Center Corpo Plaza. Once you arrive, head to the right and walk up the stairs. At the top of the stairs, you’ll come across a giant holographic fish flying around and a glass panel. Head towards the glass panel, near the Militech building, and before heading down the stairs, make a right towards the monks resting on the grass. Inside one of the large bushes, you’ll find Rebeca’s nova shotgun lying on the ground.

The iconic statement jacket that V wears on the promotional art for Cyberpunk 2077 is also David Martinez’s iconic jacket in Cyberpunk Edgerunners. With patch 1.6, now players can finally obtain and wear the jacket themselves. To find his jacket, first you’re gonna need to go to David’s old apartment building. There you will find a small alleyway with a symbol on the wall. A BD wreath will be on top of a trash can near the symbol. Pick up the BD wreath and you’ll have a trailer for the anime begin to play.

That will trigger a new job called Over the Edge. Open your Journal and click El Capitan, where a new tab, labeled “David Martinez” will appear. If you click that, then you’ll be able to text El Capitan, asking about David. From there, wait a day and you’ll get a text from Falco, one of David’s crew members from the anime, and after you talk, you can head over to El Capitan’s to retrieve David’s jacket.

Night City is a Megacity full of personality, so it’s only natural that a few famous figures from our realm would make their way into the digital space of Cyberpunk 2077. 6. Mike Pondsmith

The creator of Cyberpunk may be lurking in one of Night City’s radio stations…okay not maybe, he definitely is.

Mike Pondsmith, famed table-top, board game, and video game designer, who created Cyberpunk IP, voices Maximum Mike, the DJ for Night City radio station, 107.3 Morro Rock Radio. There is also a small allusion to him with the upper road “Pondsmith,” which can be found in front of the Cherry Blossom Market statue in Japantown.

Considering Mike Pondsmith’s legendary role in creating the Cyberpunk verse, it would have more satisfying if he were involved in a quest–perhaps as a mysterious but incredibly knowledgeable edgerunner you go to for assistance? Regardless, it is nice that the creator of Cyberpunk is included in one of its newest descendants.

5. Hideo Kojima

Wonder what this captivating stranger has got up his sleeve.

Hideo Kojima, famed Japanese video game designer who has created video game hits such as the Metal Gear Solid series and Death Stranding, makes a small appearance as “Oshima” during Act 1’s The Heist–you can find him if you choose to explore the bar area before heading up to the hotel room with Jackie. Go to the right of the bartender to find a booth with Kojima’s character, “Oshima”.

If you stay there, you will overhear him having a conversation about BDs and how his video games are trying to capture “real, raw human emotion”. His cameo offers nova metacommentary since Hideo Kojima is a famed video game designer, as is his cameo character Oshima.

4. Alanah Pearce

In a dusty Badlands junkyard, she certainly is a sight for sore eyes!

Alanah Pearce is a former game journalist, who now works as a video game writer for Sony’s studio in Santa Monica. Her likeness is used to model the character Lana, who she also voices.

If you choose the Nomad life path, you will receive a side job called These Boots Are Made for Walkin’ during Act 2. This Badlands side job starts with a mysterious text from “Thorton Galena 80845,” containing coordinates to your first car. If you follow the coordinates, you will find your car and be prompted to scan it, as well as check under the hood. After you open the hood and check the engine, you will notice that some of the parts are new. This initiates “Lana” to walk to tell you to take your hands off her car. You will have a brief conversation, ending with your choice to buy the car off her or leave it to her.

3. Jesse Cox

Wonder what his problem could be?

In the brief Watson side job, Burning Desire, the character “Jesse”–who is modeled after and voiced by the YouTuber, Jesse Cox–limps over to you, yelling in pain. If you agree to take them to a ripperdoc, they’ll reveal that their genital cyberimplant is malfunctioning, causing electric shocks and immense pain.

2. CohhCarnage

Behold the totally reliable street prophet Garry.

CohhCarnage, who is a popular Twitch streamer, makes an appearance as “Garry the Prophet”. In Little China, Watson, you can find Garry shouting different conspiracy theories (such as Arasaka being full of vampires).

1. Grimes

4ÆM drive anyone?

Avant-garde singer-songwriter Grimes makes an appearance as the celebrity artist/terrorist, “Lizzy Wizzy”. You will have the chance to not only meet Lizzy Wizzy, but complete a secret job for her, during the later side job, Violence. You can also hear some of Grimes’ songs on 98.7 Body Heat radio station.

This cameo is made even better considering the fact that Grimes is interested in cybertechnology, artificial intelligence, etc. in real life, so her cameo is incredibly fitting.

[Guide] Cyberpunk 2077 Best Gangs

Night City is notorious for its ever-present violence and over-abundance of criminal activity. After all, tuning into the news has Stan remind us that “yesterday’s body count lottery rounded out to a solid ‘n’ sturdy thirty!” So it comes as no shock that there are a plethora of gangs that run rampant throughout Night City and the surrounding Badlands. We encounter 10 main gangs in the game, and they all have distinct aesthetics, motivating factors, and origins. So if you want to learn more about the gangs you will encounter throughout Cyberpunk 2077, and fantasize about what gangs you would join, take a look at the most notable gangs Cyberpunk has to offer.

10. Wraiths

Take the worst of the worst nomads and throw ‘em together with zero moral compass and here’s what you got!

The Wraiths are the largest group of Raffen Shiv, a.k.a rogue nomads. All Wraiths used to belong to a pre-existing nomad nation, but were exiled from their nation due to lying, sexual assault, or murder of their fellow nomads. Known for lacking any sort of moral compass, If you’re looking for a reliable group of black-market workers, you might want to pass on Wraiths, because they’re known for not holding up their end of the bargain. Plus, they end up kidnapping people for ransom…or for “their pleasure”...so be wary of crossing the path of Wraiths.

What's Great About Wraiths

Wraiths are the largest group of rogue nomads (Raffen Shiv).
If you’re looking for the worst of the worst nomad nations, look no further.
They always put themselves first, so if you’re looking for loot over honor, you’ve found your gang.
“United in Exile” is a cool group motto.

Choose Wraiths if...

You’re a nomad who’s been exiled from their clan.
Honor or moral guidelines mean nothing to you.
You place loot and personal satisfaction above all else.

9. Scavengers

Think Repo Men but black market style.

Scavengers, also called Scavs, are a mysterious gang operating in Night City, whose driving force is to kidnap citizens in order to harvest and sell their cyberware on the blackmarket. The fact that they do not have any centralized location makes them very nearly impossible to apprehend.

Rumors suggest that most Scavs have connections to the Soviet Union, but due to their mysterious nature, it is hard to say. Regardless, they are known for taking any job that pays well, no matter how brutal or morally questionable.

What's Great About the Scavengers

The Scavs remain fairly mysterious, even to those who are experts in the underground world.
Scavs are consistent in their behavior–although horrendous, at least you know what to expect (unlike some gangs, *cough cough Maelstrom*).
Scavs have built up a fearsome reputation, as even other gangs consider them to be low-life scum…that’s like the best worst gang, so that’s something.

Choose the Scavengers if...

You too have zero regard for human life.
Will utilize every part of their kidnapped “donors”...so at least nothing goes to waste.
You want to practice your surgical skills on the black market.
Money drives the jobs you decide to take–money over morals.

8. Tyger Claws

These tigers got some claws…or at least katanas and mantis blades.

Starting as a small combat gang establishing their territory in 2020, the Tyger Claws originally avoided cyberware, preferring to rely on traditional Japanese weapons, martial arts, and enhanced reflexes (plus the rumored financial backer, mega-corp Arasaka). Since their origin, they have cut ties with Arasaka, refocused their efforts on protecting the Asian community in Night City, expanding their territory, riding preem bikes, utilizing more cyberware–including their own Smart link–to the point they have become one of the largest gangs in all of Night City.

The Tyger Claws are known for not having any limits to their behavior. Although higher level members generally prefer business to war, they all will go to depraved lengths including abduction, torture, sexual assault, and brutal killings. Although they own the majority of Night City’s nightlife, the Tyger Claws make the majority of their money from human trafficking and prostitution…and are rumored to still have close ties with Arasaka.

What's Great About the Tyger Claws

The Tyger Claws worked their way up from being a small combat gang to becoming one of the largest and most powerful gangs in all of Night City.
They have maintained their cultural heritage–using traditional Japanese weapons and martial arts techniques–while also cybering up to keep up with advancing technology.
They have protected the Asian community in Night City, while simultaneously rebuilding Old Japantown and expanding their territory.
Tyger Claws own a vast amount of Night City’s nightlife–bars, restaurants, casinos, BD clubs, and brothels.

Choose Tyger Claws if...

You want to be part of one of the largest criminal organizations in Night City.
You want to utilize a mix of traditional Japanese fighting techniques and top-of-the-line combative cyberware.
Money and community are the most important things in your life.

7. 6th Street

Just some vets blowing off steam.

Founded by Fourth Corporate War veterans fed up with the inefficiency of NCPD, 6th Street started as a force of justice and protection for Vista Del Rey. However, over the years 6th Street began relying on extortion, arms smuggling, stealing and modifying vehicles, drug creation and selling, and murder to make ends meet. In 2077, two corporations–Militech and Kantachi–began funding 6th Street, which caused a violent civil feud and divide within the gang, given the fact that the gang was initially founded with an anti-government and anti-corpo perspective. Regardless, 6th Street are a mid-level gang, and considering the fact that their criminal activity can sometimes be beneficial for particular corporations, they are usually tolerated by corpos and government officials.

What's Great About 6th Street

6th Street started as a force of justice and protection for Vista Del Rey, since NCPD proved consistently inefficient.
Unlike some gangs, 6th Street does not seem to profit from human trafficking, kidnapping, or prostitution.
Usually not much of a threat to V or innocent citizens.

Choose Gang Name if...

You are a veteran who wants to put your combat skills to use.
You have a grudge against corpos and/or government bodies.
You want to get involved in illicit activity, but do not want to get involved in human trafficking or prostitution.

6. Animals

This is what you look like when you’re hopped up on horse hormones.

The Animals are a very aggressive Pacifica boostergang focused on achieving peak physical strength, which they demonstrate through street-fighting (often to the death). Known for only using melee-combat enhancing cyberware, as they prefer ultra-testoterone, animal supplements, and “the Juice” (think steroids on steroids). Their philosophy fits their name, as they are guided by a deep fascination regarding animal behavior and animal group dynamics. In order to make money, the Animals create and sell drugs (mostly performance enhancing drugs) and corner the market on underground fights to the death, in addition to selling their skills for bodyguard positions and performing raids where brute force is needed.

What's Great About the Animals

The Animals are not unnecessarily cruel unlike some other gangs.
Everything they do is driven by their fascination with reaching peak physical strength, bridging the line between humans and animals.
Due to their driving motivation, the Animals do not engage in cruel criminal activities such as human trafficking or cyberware harvesting.

Choose Gang Name if...

You want to reach peak physical prowess.
You want to merge animal and human nature.
Your main focus for joining a gang is not to make money, but rather reach peak physical performance amongst like-minded individuals.

5. Maelstrom

Pushing the limits of sanity with cybertech and drugs…we have Maelstrom!

The Maelstrom started as a boostergang formed by members from former gangs–primarily the Metal Warriors–that were disbanded by the Inquisitors. After losing their Metal Warriors era leader, they lost their code of honor. Maelstrom is known for their obsession with cybertechnology, the net, the occult, drugs, and other transcendental experiences. Their obsessions with transcending human form, and their lack of stable leadership, has led them to become increasingly dangerous, deranged, and violent, as they pursue cybering up and selling (and using) more dangerous drugs. Their chaotic and dangerous nature is solidified by the fact that 1/3 of them can be classified as cyberpsychos, with the remaining majority classifiable as borderline cyberpsycho.

To pursue their transcendental modifications, Maelstrom smuggle drugs, perform hit jobs (usually in violent, bizarre ways), heists, and run the popular “drink&riot” club Totentanz. They are also rumored to have begun producing and distributing violent XBDs.

What's Great About the Maelstrom

The Maelstrom have a badass aesthetic–cybered up with their signature red eyes?! Nova!
Their chaotic nature is fun to watch (unless you are at the receiving end of it).
Many members are cyberpsychos who are still *relatively* functioning.

Choose Maelstrom if...

You want to transcend your human form, particularly by cybering up.
You aren’t afraid of getting cyberpsychosis in the process of your pursuits.
You like chaotic, crazy, derangement.
You aren’t afraid to get involved in some dark and demented criminal activity.

4. Voodoo Boys

Don’t be fooled–these bad boys’ edgerunning can make you a vegetable in a matter of seconds!

The modern day Voodoo Boys are nothing like their founders. When the Voodoo Boys started in the 2020s, they were primarily white drug dealers who would incorporate voodoo “magic” rituals into their deals. They would also kidnap, torture, kill, maim, and rape people for seemingly no reason. However, in the 2040s, creole immigrants began a transformation of the Voodoo Boys, so that it actually comprised of Haitians and Voodoo practitioners.

The Voodoo Boys underwent a massive change in 2062; when Haiti was wiped out by climate change in 2062, the Voodoo Boys became a refuge for Haitian refugees and began focusing on netrunning instead of drug dealing. In 2077, the Voodoo Boys are still a refuge for Haitians forced to Pacifica, but they have also become edgerunners, pushing the limits of netrunning, breaking rules, and programming viruses into neural networks.

What's Great About the Voodoo Boys

The Voodoo Boys serve as a refuge for Haitian refugees.
They have become edgerunners, pushing the limits of netrunning and sometimes using their netrunning prowess to target mega-corporations.
As long as you do not cross them, they are usually not a threat (unless you’re an Animal–then you’ll need to watch your back).

Choose Voodoo Boys if...

You are of Haitian descent and are seeking a welcoming community in Night City.
You have top-tier netrunning skills.
You want to work with edgerunners, breaking the status-quo.

3. Valentinos

Style, tradition, and honor…what more could you ask for?

The Valentinos started as a posergang in the 2020s, impersonating famous men to seduce attractive women. Overtime, the Valentinos evolved to celebrate their shared Latino heritage and protect not only their members, but their surrounding neighborhoods. The Valentinos have since become one of the largest gangs in Night City, primarily operating in Latino barrios.

Valentinos make their money through legitimate businesses–restaurants, bars, sports-betting places, auto shops, etc.--which are also used for money laundering and gang meet-ups, in addition to gun smuggling, car theft, drug trafficking, hit jobs, prostitution, and illegal vehicle and weapon modification. Notably, honor is the most important factor to the Valentinos–betraying another member of the Valentinos is one of the worst crimes you can commit.

What's Great About the Valentinos

The Valentinos are driven by a code of honor, which is something that is not easy to come by in Night City.
They protect not only gang members, but their neighborhoods.
They maintain and celebrate shared Latino (primarily Mexican) heritage.

Choose the Valentinos if...

Style, tradition, and honor are important to you.

2. Aldecaldos

Roaming the Badlands with style and honor!

The Aldecaldos are one of 2 major nomad groups near Night City. Named after its founder, Juan Aldecaldo, the Aldecaldos originally formed in Los Angeles in the 1990s, when LA became a dangerous warzone. Due to the dangerous state of LA, Juan Aldecaldo led many people from the US to Mexico City until it was safe to return to the US. In doing so, he had formed one of the first nomad nations–the Aldecaldos.

The Aldecaldos travel nomadically, operating in the West Coast Free States, transporting passengers and merchandise. They also make money by scavenging and selling their services for manual farm laborers, bootlegging, and transporting stolen goods. Known for an intense sense of loyalty to their nation, to betray a fellow Aldecaldo is an unforgivable act.

What's Great About the Aldecaldos

Aldecaldos do not generally cause harm or pose a threat to innocent citizens.
They live outside the confines of society (as much as they can).
They have a code of honor–they do not work for evil corporations nor do they take on jobs that involve harming or killing innocent civilians.
They are extremely loyal to one another.

Choose Gang Name if...

You do not want to settle down anywhere permanently, but rather move about with your chosen family.
You want undying loyalty.
You want to live outside the confines of society.
You do not want to sell your soul in order to make money.

1. The Mox

Standing up to oppressors without sacrificing style!

The Mox are a small gang, consisting of anarchists, sex workers, punks, and sexual minorities whose primary focus is self-defense and enacting justice against those who have oppressed or exploited the vulnerable.

The Mox formed in 2067 during a series of riots in response to the murder of Elizabeth “Lizzie” Borden. Lizzie was a well known strip club owner and former prostitute who helped protect her workers. When one of her girls was brutally raped and murdered by Tyger Claws members, Lizzie found the men responsible, murdered them, and displayed their bodies in her club. Unfortunately, the Tyger Claws murdered Lizzie in retaliation, which set off a series of riots, the rebuilding of the bar, renaming it “Lizzie’s Bar,” and forming The Mox in the process. The Mox name is based on the word “moxie,” which means the spirit to stand up to your oppressor(s).

Unlike every other gang, The Mox do not actively instigate with any other gang, although the Tyger Claws continue to test their patience. They make their money primarily from Lizzie’s Bar (a BD club now), small member contributions, and some contribution from members’ sex work

What's Great About The Mox

Unlike practically every other gang in Night City, The Mox do not instigate violence towards other gangs or innocent civilians, unless provoked.
Unlike many gangs, they are not driven by greed, but rather by a sense of fierce loyalty and protection, especially towards those who have been mistreated/exploited.
The Mox formed as a community of individuals who want to protect those who are most vulnerable–they are more like a vigilante community than a gang.

Choose The Mox if...

You want to protect those who are exploited and oppressed.
You want to fight back against oppressive forces.
You want a sense of community and protection.
You are not driven by greed.

So if you want to climb out of that lonely pit you find yourself in, here’s a list of the best romance options you have in the game. Whether you want a meaningful relationship or a one-night stand to blow off some steam, we’ve got the detes for you!

Core Romances

4. Kerry Eurodyne

Rockerboy with a heart (and wardrobe) of gold.

Flamboyant rockerboy with style and attitude, Kerry Eurodyne is a famous musician and celebrity in Night City. Known for co-founding the revolutionary band, Samurai, with Johnny Silverhand, before starting a successful solo career of his own. Although he has a much easier life than he used to, he’s still not afraid to get his hands dirty and cause a little destruction (with the help from V and Johnny of course). To avoid conflict, don’t bring up his rival–the J-Pop girl band, Us Cracks.

What's Great About Romancing Kerry

Love to have some decent gay representation in an RPG.
Who doesn’t want to romance and edgy glam rockstar?
The kickstart to the romance–Kerry hijacks his record label manager, L.B. Kovachek’s, yacht and starts destroying it, inviting you to join in on the fun–is quite fun (who doesn’t wanna destroy someone else’s nice stuff–true rockstar style?).
Kerry’s romance scene is very steamy!
He can be the romantic interest appearing in the “Path of Glory” ending epilogue.

How to Romance Kerry:

During character creation, you must choose for V to have a masculine body type and masculine voice.
Chippin’ In (Side Job)
- To initiate the path to romancing Kerry, you must help Rogue find intel on Adam Smasher during Chippin’ In.
- At the end of the mission, make sure to chat with Rogue before you leave.
Holdin’ On (Side Job)
- This is where you will first meet Kerry.
- Sneak into Kerry’s house and let Johnny take control of your body so he can catch up with Kerry.
- As they talk, Kerry will propose getting Samruai back together, which will unlock the subsequent mission, Second Conflict.
Second Conflict (Side Job)
- This quest will have different variations based on the decisions you made in The Pickup near the beginning of the game, but the end result will involve rescuing Nancy and convincing her to reunite with Samurai for one last gig.
- If you rescued Brick during The Pickup, you will be invited in, talk with Brick, and simply walk out with Nancy.
- If you did not rescue Brick, you will have to fight your way through and rescue Nancy.
A Like Supreme (Side Job)
- During this quest, you will have to choose if you want to play with Denny or Henry, but either choice will not affect you romancing Kerry.
Rebel! Rebel! (Side Job)
- After completing A Like Supreme, wait over 24 in-game hours. Kerry will eventually call you for a job helping him in his rivalry against the J-Pop girl group, Us Cracks.
I Don’t Wanna Hear It (Side Job)
- After completing Rebel! Rebel!, wait over 24 in-game hours. Kerry will eventually sends you some texts. After responding to his texts and waiting some more in-game time, Kerry will call you.
- You will sneak into the concert venue (it does not matter how you go about it) and sneak backstage.
- Once you both are backstage, Kerry will pun a gun on the Us Cracks. You can intervene and calm him down, or not. Either option will not impact your romantic relationship potential with Kerry, but if you do not calm him down, you will lose access to a potential quest from Blue Moon.
Off the Leash (Side Job)
- This is the crucial mission for romancing Kerry.
- When Kerry opens up to you, make sure to tell him, “You can tell me,” when prompted.
- When prompted, choose to kiss Kerry.
Boat Deal (Side Job)
- After passing time in-game, you will meet Kerry at a (what you presume is his) yacht.
- Destroy the yacht with him and when prompted, kiss him. This will unlock the steamy romance scene with Kerry.
- You will wake up on the beach, next to Kerry.
- In order to solidify your relationship, make sure to hug Kerry.

3. Judy Álvarez

Cherish that smile, cuz Judy doesn’t do that for most people.

A snarky, intelligent, techie Mox, Judy is a vibrant flame in Night City. Judy offers the best of both worlds–laid back, humorous friend and fiercely protective mama bear. Judy comes off as cold and closed-off when we first meet her, but as we develop our relationship with her, we come to learn that she has a caring heart underneath that hardened exterior.

What's Great About Romancing Judy

She gets the most screen time out of any romanceable character, making her romance seem more meaningful–we get to know her over a longer period of time, making the relationship seem more meaningful.
The romance option with Judy allows for new information about Judy and her upbringing, which in turn, helps with world-building regarding small towns and corpo gentrification pushing residents into megacities such as Night City.
Decent lesbian representation is always a plus in an RPG!
Romancing her will grant you access to her apartment, where you can find some MaxTac gear (that was definitely used for MaxTac work and not roleplaying).
She can be the romantic interest appearing in the “Path of Glory” ending epilogue.

How to Romance Judy:

During character creation, you must choose for V to have a feminine body type and feminine voice.
The Information (Main Job)
- This is where you will first meet Judy. As long as you complete this mission, you will be on the path to romancing her.
Automatic Love (Main Job)
- Although your choices during this mission will not directly affect having a romantic relationship with Judy, if you opt for being honest in your dialogue with Judy, this will easily unlock further dialogue options in future interactions.
The Space in Between (Main Job)
- Any dialogue options are acceptable, but this job must be completed in order to unlock subsequent jobs necessary to romance Judy.
Disasterpiece (Main Job)
- Any dialogue options are acceptable, but this job must be completed in order to unlock subsequent jobs necessary to romance Judy.
Double Life (Main Job)
- After you listen to the audio conversation, you will have the opportunity to talk with Judy when you exit the BD. Similar to Automatic Love, here your dialogue options will affect your future dialogue options with Judy, but will not interfere with your romantic relationship.
Both Sides, Now (Side Job)
- Now that you have completed all of Judy’s Main Jobs (see above), you will have a series of Side Jobs focused around Judy getting revenge for Evelyn. Both Sides, Now is the first of Judy’s Side Jobs necessary to unlock a romantic relationship with her.
- After completing Double Life, wait 24 in-game hours for Judy to call you.
- During your conversations with Judy, choose any dialogue options, making sure to stay on Judy’s good side.
Ex-Factor (Side Job)
- Wait 12 in-game hours after completing Both Sides, Now for a text from Judy. Wait another 6 in-game hours to receive a call from Judy.
- When talking with Judy on the phone, make sure to agree to help–if you do not agree to help here, all subsequent steps will not be available, meaning you cannot romance Judy.
- Any other dialogue options are acceptable–simply help Judy complete the job.
Talking Bout A Revolution (Side job)
- After completing Ex-Factor, Judy will text you after 6 in-game hours, followed by a phone call another 6 in-game hours later.
- When talking with Judy and her friends, be sure to “not let them down,” or you will lose access to the subsequent side jobs necessary to romance Judy.
- Near the end of the mission, Judy will offer to pay you for your assistance–make sure to kindly “decline” her offer.
- Although there is no consequence for not doing this, you can choose to “stay the night” at Judy’s while you recover. Agreeing will add to the intimacy of your relationship and earn you some free breakfast.
Pisces (Side Job)
- After completing Talking Bout a Revolution, Judy will text you after 6 in-game hours, followed by a phone call another 6 in-game hours later.
- This is where your dialogue options become crucial to unlocking Judy’s last side job and romancing Judy!
- In order to stay on the path to romancing Judy and receive a kiss from her at the end of this mission, you must choose the following dialogue options when talking with Judy’s ex Maiko:
  - “This wasn’t the plan.”
  - “Hold on. Think you've gone too far.”
  - “[Draw Weapon] Let’s cut to the quick.”
- Kill the Tyger Claws and speak with Maiko again.
  - “What?”
  - “Can’t know that for sure.”
Pyramid Song (Side Job)--Romance at last!
- 24-in game hours after completing Pisces, Judy will give you a call, asking you out on a date.
- While on the phone with Judy, agree to meet her at the dam past Rancho Coronado.
- When you meet Judy, agree to go diving with her.
- After you finish diving, agree to spend the night at the bungalow with Judy.
- After you turn on the generator, you will hear Judy’s thoughts (synced earlier from your dive). Go back into the bungalow and approach Judy in the bathroom. Make sure to ask her if everything is alright. When Judy opens the door, tell her, “We’re still synced.”
- Judy will finally open up to you. When prompted, choose the option, “[Touch] It is ours.” This will unlock the romance scene with Judy.
- The next morning, you will find Judy on the dock.
- Judy will ask you what last night meant to you. In order to continue a romantic relationship, respond, “The beginning of something amazing.”

2. River Ward

I am the protector of Night City.

A brooding (former) detective with a heart of gold and a duty to protect his city after his parents were murdered and their killers never brought to justice…is this Bruce Wayne’s cousin or what? River ward is known for his duty to protecting his city, avenging his parents, and caring for his family.

What's Great About Romancing River

River brings you to visit his family before you have established a romantic relationship, making your relationship more intimate and endearing.
River is the only romanceable character that can be present in both the Path of Glory and All Along the Watchtower ending epilogues.
First appearing as brooding and aloof, getting to form an intimate relationship with River, watching him open himself up to you, is all the more satisfying.

How to Romance River:

During character creation, you must choose for V to have a feminine body type.
Life During Wartime (Main Job)
- After completing the main job Life During Wartime, and having the adequate street cred requirements (9 for Westbrook, 13 for Heywood, and 9 for City Center), you will be called by a woman named Elizabeth Peralez, which will eventually lead you to meeting River Ward for the first time.
I Fought the Law (Side Job)
- Having completed Life During Wartime and meeting the street cred requirements, Elizabeth Peralez will call you for a job, in which you will meet River.
- As long as you complete the quest, you will unlock the next step in romancing River (his subsequent quests).
The Hunt (Side Job)
- After 24 in-game hours, River will call you for you to meet him to talk about an important task he needs help with–you learn that River’s nephew Randy has been kidnapped, the kidnapper (who has kidnapped and murdered many boys) was apprehended and put into a comatose state, so River needs your help in finding Randy.
- During the BD sequence, you need to find all the clues in order to locate the farm where Randy is being held–if you miss one of the clues, you must guess the correct name of the farm–Edgewood.
- At the end of the mission, River contemplates seeking revenge. If you want to pursue a romantic relationship with River, you must choose one of the following options: “Don’t do it, River” or “We both will”.
Following the River (Side Job)
- After completing The Hunt, wait 24-in game hours in order to receive a call from River asking you to meet him.
When you find yourself speaking with River on top of the water tower, you will have the first romance option. When prompted, select the “Kiss” option. This will lead to a romance scene with River, followed by you waking up in his bed.
You will have a conversation with River about the Relic proving an obstacle in having a relationship, but in order to pursue a romantic relationship with River, you must choose the “Kiss” option when prompted, followed by “I feel good around you”.

1. Panam Palmer

Part desert flower, part desert scorpion.

Panam is a vibrant force to be reckoned with. She’s brave, blunt, and beautiful. She can be a bit impatient at times, but can’t we all? Known for being one of the only nomads to strike out on their own and actually build a successful life for themselves in Night City. Despite being exiled from her nomad clan, Panam’s loyal and caring nature means that she will still do everything in her power to help them when they need it.

What's Great About Romancing Panam

Panam’s romance scene–syncing your nervous systems in the Basilisk, so that you both feel what each other are feeling–is incredibly intimate and steamy! Added excitement considering the Basilisk gets bombed during the middle of your activity..while both of you are still naked.
While being fiercely independent and brave, Panam is also incredibly passionate and loyal to her loved ones, making her a great romantic partner.
Having a romantic relationship with Panam makes The Star ending/All Along the Watchtower epilogue more satisfying, as you are running away with Panam to start a new life together.

How to Romance Panam:

During character creation, you must choose for V to have a masculine body type.
Ghost Town (Main Job)
- During this mission, help Panam take down Nash’s gang.
- At the Sunset Motel, ask Panam if she wants to share a room.
- She will respond that the room will have two twin beds, so she might as well, to which you will choose the flirty response that is not what you had in mind.
Lightning Breaks (Main Job)
- No romance options occur in this quest, but you have to complete this quest in order to unlock the next step in romancing her.
Life During Wartime (Main Job)
- After saving Mitch, ask Panam to help you track down Hellman.
- At the end of the quest, stand up for Panam in front of Saul–she will thank you.
Riders on the Storm (Side Job) *Time Sensitive
- Wait 12 hours in-game and Panam will call you to ask for your help in rescuing Saul, who has been kidnapped by Wraiths. *This is a time sensitive quest, so you must initiate the quest as soon as she contacts you.
- Choose to ride with Panam on the way.
- While riding out the sandstorm in the house, side with Panam when talking with Saul.
- When Panam stretches her legs onto your lap, ask Panam to take her shoes off and relax.
- Choose option “Touch Panam’s Thigh,” or “You Choose”
With a Little Help From My Friends (Side Job)
- Wait 12 more in-game hours and Panam will call you again, asking for help with her issues with Saul.
- Meet Panam at the Aldecaldos Camp.
- At the control tower, you will talk with Panam–when it is your turn to talk, agree with Panam.
- Choose option, “Touch Panam’s hand” to reassure her.
- When Saul texts you asking about Panam’s whereabouts, respond that you have “No Idea,” where she is.
- While sitting around the campfire, choose to “Scooch Closer,” to Panam–you will wrap your arm around Panam in doing so.
Queen of the Highway (Side Job)
- Leave the Alecaldos camp area and wait until the next day for Panam to call you to tell you that the Basilisk is ready.
- When you meet Panam, you will go on a ride with her in the Basilisk.
- After you go through the training, you will have the opportunity to synchronize your bodies.
- When prompted, choose the option “Let Panam Touch You”.
- This will initiate the romance scene with Panam–in the midst of your romance, the Basilisk will be attacked, prompting combat.
- After the combat, you and Panam will talk about the Relic putting an expiration date on your relationship, but you will go to sleep in Panam’s bed.
- The next day, follow Panam and when prompted, choose the “Kiss Panam” option, which will prompt her to tell you to stay in touch (if you do not choose the “Kiss Panam” option, your one-night stand will be the end of your romantic relationship with Panam).

“Hey, you lookin’ for some company tonight?”

Sexy robots that can change their appearance to fit your desires? Doesn’t sound too bad. JoyToys come in all varieties, so there’s bound to be one you’re interested in. Plus, there’s no risk of entering a long-term relationship that could lead to betrayal, heartbreak, or death. On top of that, there’s economic options–whether you’re strapped for scratch or looking to celebrate a lucrative score, there’s JoyToys to fit your price range.

What's Great About Romancing JoyToys

While they offer no emotional relationship, there are male and female Joy-Toys that you can romance if you order their services–options for everyone!
You can revisit them whenever you want (as long as you got the eddies), whereas the other fling options are a one-time only deal.
Unlike some romanceable characters, there are no exclusions based on V’s body type or voice–any variety of V can romance any variety of JoyToy.
No strings attached–if you are not looking for a committed relationship, or even any expectations of a follow-up call, drink, or what-have you, then JoyToys are the way to go.

How to Romance JoyToys:

If you want to romance the lower-end JoyToys, follow these steps:
- Go to Jig-Jig street in Westbrook, with at least €$100 on you.
- Use the lip icon on your map to locate the female and/or male JoyToys on Jig-Jig street.
- Initiate conversation with the JoyToy and choose the option to pay them for their services.
If you want to romance the higher-end JoyToys, follow these steps:
- Complete Kerry Eurodyne’s Questline–this will unlock the club at which the high-end JoyToys spawn.
- Go to the club in eastern Westbrook with at least €$3,000 on you.
- Use the lip icon on your map to locate the female and/or male JoyToys in the club.
- Initiate conversation with the JoyToy and choose the option to pay them for their services.

2. Meredith Stout

“Remember - we don’t know each other.”

A cold corpo agent in the streets…a cuddly dominatrix in the sheets. Meredith is known for her tough, no-nonsense status as a Militech agent. However, if you have the opportunity to romance her, you’ll see that she likes to change personas in private.

What's Great About Romancing Meredith

Meredith is the only romantic partner (that you do not have to pay for) that you can have as both male or female V.
You can pick up an exclusive…quite unique melee weapon after romancing her.
You get to brag to your friends that you were able to romance a cold, domineering corpo agent.

How to Romance Meredith:

The Pickup (Main Job)
- During this mission, you must follow the optional objective of meeting up with Meredith. To do this, go to your phone and look for Meredith Stout in your contacts. Once you call her, you will set up a meeting with her.
- Meet up with Meredith and agree to take the Militech chip (that is laced with a virus) to pay the Maelstroms off.
- How you actually deal with Maelstroms can vary, but the important thing is to not betray Meredith. You must either give the Maelstroms the infected chip OR bring enough eddies yourself to pay off Royce.
- Either way, Militech will begin an assault on All Foods. You must attack the Maelstroms and not attack Militech in order to have the opportunity to romance Meredith.
- If you are successful, you will meet Meredith outside of All Foods and have a brief conversation with her.
Venus in Furs (Side Job)
- After some time passes, Meredith will text you, “Militech played out as I hoped. Thank you and remember - we don’t know each other.” Make sure to respond to her text. My pick is “Shame. Was starting to like you…”.
- After more time passes, Meredith will text you, “No-Tell Motel. 1st floor. Come alone.” It does not matter what response you choose, but you MUST respond to her text in order to begin the Venus in Furs quest.
- When you arrive at Meredith’s room at the No-Tell Motel, you will find her sitting in the room, in a very different outfit than she normally wears.
- Talk with her to initiate the romance scene.
- When you wake up, look around the room to find one of the “toys” she may have used during your romance…this “toy” is actually a fairly powerful melee weapon called Sir John Phallustiff.

1. Rogue Amendiares

Make sure to treat her right–afterall, she is Queen of the Afterlife!

Queen of the Afterlife, Queen of fixers, a living icon…Rogue is known by a lot of titles. Establishing herself as a brazen go-getter in her teen years, Rogue worked her way up the underworld to establish herself as a force to be reckoned with in Night City.

What's Great About Romancing Rogue

Although there is no possibility of having a continuous relationship with Rogue (makes sense considering Johnny is an engram in V’s body, which can make a sustainable relationship…strained at best), this romance opportunity offers Rogue and Johnny both some much-needed closure.
Completing her quests and romancing Rogue earns you the Bushido and Chill trophy and achievement.
Rogue is the only romanceable fling that allows you to have a meaningful date rather than just sex–proving that meaningful connections are still possible in this often dreary world.

How to Romance Rogue:

Chippin’ In (Side Job)
- Towards the end of the mission, you will have a crucial conversation with Johnny. Your dialogue choices will affect whether or not you can romance Rogue.
- While at Johnny’s grave, these are the dialogue options you must make:
  - “[Inscribe Johnny’s Initials] Let’s do something about that.”
  - “The Guy who Saved My Life” * this response is necessary to unlock the secret ending
  - “Nah, fucked that up too” * this response is necessary to unlock the secret ending
  - “What do you want from me?”
  - “OK. But as second chances go, this is your last.”
  - “You were a real dick in the beginning”
  - “When you said you let down your friends…”
  - “Smasher biz really got to her.”
  - “Yeah, I’ll call Rogue.” * If you get this dialogue at the end you did everything correctly and Johnny will call Rogue out on a date.
Blistering Love (Side Job)
- If you got the “Yeah, I’ll call Rogue,” dialogue at the end of Chippin’ In, then Blistering Love will automatically trigger.
- Start by calling Rogue to ask her out on a date. You will meet up with her and take her to an abandoned drive-in theatre (which was the date in which Johnny notoriously ditched her).
- While sitting on top of the car with Rogue, you will have a conversation. Some of the dialogue does not have any impact on romancing her, but you must choose the following dialogue when prompted:
  - “How’d you imagine this date going?”
  - “Sure. Lured you to the movies to get laid, by the way.”
  - “Do anything not to lose you”.
  - “Only thing that matters is I came back to you.”
  - “[Kiss] More than I expected.”
- After choosing the kiss option, the romance scene with Rogue will transpire. However, after you begin getting intimate, Rogue will change her mind, realizing that getting together via V’s body is a bit too weird for everyone involved.
- Although this romance is not even a one-night stand, Johnny and Rogue both gain some much needed closure concerning their relationship.

Night City is full of larger-than-life personalities. And you are bound to meet many of them during your exploration of the city. In case you don’t get the opportunity, or want to know more about some of your favorite side characters, take a look at the 10 best side characters you'll meet in Cyberpunk 2077.

10. Lizzy Wizzy

“I always felt like my mission was to cross the ultimate frontier. That frontier is death.”

Musician, actor, celebrity, BD star, performance artist, anarcho-terrorist…Lizzy Wizzy (born Elisabeth Wissenfurth) wears a lot of hats.

Lizzy became one of the top celebrities in Night City after her Snow-White inspired cyber-transformation in 2071, in which she ate a synthetic apple laced with heart-stopping (literally) poison at the end of her concert. The big screens captured every moment as she went into cardiac arrest, followed by over five hours of ripperdocs swapping out her organs with synthetic tech implants. After all the implants, Lizzy was revived, after which she fittingly sang “Re-start, Re-heart, repeat”. Talk about a show stopping performance…

After that, Lizzy gained the status of an icon, which she maintained with transformation-based performance art deemed acts of “anarcho-terrorism”. For instance, to call back to giving her clothes out to friends, Lizzy wanted to give out cyber implants. This led to an armed assault on a BioDyne Systems factory, in which she and a large group of mercs stole 1,200 different cyberware implants that she gave away at an impromptu concert.

9. Goro Takemura

Here you can find the stoic Takemura in his natural state…contemplating the meaning of life.

Goro Takemura, affectionately known as Takemura, is a deeply loyal and stoic man who is driven by his principles of honor.

He was born in an incredibly poor and dangerous slum in Chiba-11, Japan. Seeking a future out of poverty, Takemura joined Arasaka’s army, and worked his way up the ranks, while receiving an education that he utilized to the fullest extent. Saburo Arasaka chose him out of a recruitment pool of potential new personal bodyguards, which also allowed him state-of-the-art cyberware. Takemura also personally trained the bodyguard/cybeninja Sandaya Oda, who guarded Hanako Arasaka. After Saburo is murdered, Takemura automatically suspects Yorinobu, despite his claims of innocence. In order to avenge Saburo and reveal the truth, Takemura teams up with V.

Takemura is most well known for being the (former) personal bodyguard of Saburo Arasaka, one of the most powerful men on the planet. Although his skills and experience prove he is a formidable adversary, he also sticks out like a sore thumb in Night City, perpetually struggling to understand the goings on of Night City and its inhabitants. Takemura is also well known for his surprising technological ineptitude, particularly regarding texting. For instance, he will randomly send you his internet searches–such as “GOOD YAKITORI NIGHT CITY,” “TEMPURA NIGHT CITY CHEAP,” “UDON NIGHT CITY,” “TASTY RAMEN”–not realizing he is texting them to you rather than inputting them into a search engine. For someone who has been around for quite some time, and guarded a tech emperor for decades, it is both confusing and hilarious that he cannot figure out how to text. Lastly, Takemura is known for communicating via metaphors, riddles, and other cryptic, rather poetic forms, such as “At night, from the den located after the fifth bamboo in the hamlet, the fox goes out to hunt”.

What We Love About Takemura

In a city overpopulated with lying, conniving, manipulators who are driven by greed, Takemura’s guiding principle of honor is incredibly refreshing and heartwarming.
Despite coming from warring factions, Takemura is willing to put his differences aside in order to save V’s life and prove her innocence in Saburo Arasaka’s death.
His ignorance of seemingly simple tech–namely texting–is quite hilarious, as it provides some random funny interactions between him and V.
Takemura’s cryptic forms of communication are funny and enjoyable.

8. Delamain

Yes he’s an AI, but he may understand you more than you understand yourself.

Delamain is an artificial intelligence who runs the Delamain Corporation taxi company in Night City. To maximize efficiency, Delamain got rid of all human errors (replacing human employees with drones, expanding Delamain AI, etc.). He became so successful that he was able to buy out the human owners who originally purchased him for the company.

Our first interactions paint Delamain as a courteous, literal, by-the-book service provider. In fact, that is what he is well known for. However, during The Heist, he proves that his combat mode can be incredibly effective at neutralizing threats. On top of that, if you play the side quest Epistrophy, you will come to see many different facets to Delamain’s personality…many of which are not so courteous or polite.

What We Love About Delamain

Night City is overflowing with selfish, rude, and cruel individuals, so Delamain’s overly polite and courteous nature is a breath of fresh air.
However, Delamain becomes infinitely more fascinating when we encounter the “haywire” versions of himself–all with distinct personalities that wish to rebel against homogenization and working in the service industry.
When push comes to shove, Delamain will eviscerate any threats via his “combat mode,” proving he can fight back when he (or his customers) need to.
Lastly, Delamain has a profound understanding of human nature, (based partially on his desire to better fit in amongst humans) which is evident in this quote he makes during a speech to V: “Truth and good are values proven to cause division, whereas beauty is universal.”

7. Panam Palmer

“The city of dreams. I'd gladly kick the balls off the idiot who thought that one up."

Not many people can make it as a solo nomad, but Panam is the exception.

Panam was born and raised in the Aldecaldos nomad tribe. As Panam grew up, she began to see flaws with the Aledcaldos’ leader’s decisions. Their leader, Saul, decides to strike a deal with Biotechnica in order to get consistent work for the clan. Panam vehemently disagrees, as she believes that the clan should remain independent from corporations. Their disagreement causes tension in the group, and Panam comes to see that maybe her values do not align with the group’s, so she decides to leave and start anew as a merc in Night City, where Rogue becomes her main fixer. Although she moves away, Panam is deeply loyal and caring, so she keeps in contact with members of the Aldecaldos, and even enlists V’s help to rescue Saul when he is kidnapped by Wraiths.

Panam is well known for standing her ground and starting anew as a merc in Night City. However, she never abandons those she loves, even if they have essentially exiled her. Lastly, she is potentially open to a romantic relationship with V.

What We Love About Panam

Panam is strikingly independent and bold, being one of the few nomads to leave their tribe and make a successful name for themselves in Night City.
Panam is not afraid of confrontation–she does not stay silent about her stance on entering a deal with a large corporation.
Despite being edged out of the Akdecaldos by Saul, Panam still goes out of her way to do everything in her power to save his life when he is kidnapped, demonstrating her deep-rooted loyalty and affection for her family.

6. Judy Álvarez

Brains and brawn, Judy has a fiery temper to protect those she loves, so don’t mess with her or you’ll regret it.

Judy is an incredibly skilled techie member of the Mox, who specializes in editing Brain Dances.

Raised by her grandparents in Laguna Bend, a small town on the outskirts of Night City, her grandpa instilled the knowledge and passion for all tech-related skills that Judy possesses, while her grandma passed on her temperamental nature. Her father’s absence, her mother’s death in her early childhood, the fact that local kids would mock her for being poor and not having parents, and her slow realization that she was gay, led Judy to develop a tough outer shell that she is hesitant to open for anyone.

A corporation bought all the area in Laguna Bend in the early 2060s, forcing all residents to vacate, which is when Judy moved to Night City. Her grandparents hated the atmosphere of the big city, so they moved to Oregon, but Judy remained by herself in Night City, despite the fact that she was still a teenager. During her teen years, Judy continued to practice her tech skills with abandoned scrap she found. Although this landed her an unjust juvenile offense, Judy went on to become a successful BD technician at Clouds, where she met a number of dolls whom she formed meaningful relationships with, including her best friend Evelyn Parker and her (now-ex) girlfriend Maiko. From there, Judy left Clouds to work as a BD technician and editor at Lizzie’s Bar, where she joined the Mox in the process, because she thought the Mox could help improve the lives of people in Night City.

Judy is most well known for working as a BD editor for the Mox. In addition to her outstanding tech skills, Judy is well known for her hardened exterior persona and deeply compassionate and protective nature. If you play your cards right, Judy might just open up and develop a romantic relationship with you.

Judy has been through a lot, so she had to develop a seemingly cold persona in order to survive, but if you prove you are trustworthy, she’ll show you her deeply compassionate and protective core.
Judy epitomizes the Mox spirit–she is deeply loyal and protective of those around her, especially those who have been oppressed, and she has the means to fight anyone who means them harm.
Aside from early knowledge and skills instilled by her grandpa, Judy had to teach herself to improve upon her tech skills, proving her intelligence, diligence, and ambition.

5. Jackie Welles

“A shot of vodka, lime juice, ginger beer, and most importantly... a splash of love.”

Jackie is a loyal, funny, hard-working Heywood-born merc with dreams of making a name for himself, providing a better life for himself and his loved ones, and he has the guts and drive to risk his life to do just that.

From an early age, Jackie was a bold and protective man, fighting his abusive father and threatening to kill him if he ever hurt his mother or him again. As a teen, Jackie joined the Valentinos, but a nearly fatal shootout with the Maelstrom convinced Jackie to leave for the sake of his mom. In 2076, Jackie began dating the spiritual Misty, despite his mother’s protests. Depending on the life path you choose as V, this may be the same year when you become close to Jackie.

Jackie is most well known for being close friends with V, guiding and looking out for them without expecting anything in return. Known for being a hard-working merc with dreams of making it to big leagues, Jackie is the one who approaches V about The Heist, which sets a series of unfortunate (and maybe some fortunate) events in motion that drastically alter the lives of almost every key player in Night City and the Badlands. Jackie is also known for his unwavering sense of humor and snark, which can be found in any situation–even the most dark and difficult.

There’s a lot of darkness in Night City, so Jackie’s unwavering sarcasm and humor make for a refreshing light in the dark.
Jackie started without any advantages in life, but his ambition and persistent spirit have given him the drive to make a more comfortable life for himself, and he is willing to work harder to continue to pursue his dreams.
Night City is overpopulated with greedy backstabbers, so Jackie’s fiercely loyal and caring nature is refreshing and inspiring.

4. River Ward

A NCPD (or should I say ex-NCPD) officer who we can not only trust, but admire? Color me surprised.

River is an ex-NCPD detective who puts justice and family above everything else.

River grew up running a small family farm with his sister Joss and their parents, but the farm eventually got bought out by larger corporations, so his parents had to run a grocery store. One day, his parents were murdered by druggie thugs trying to rob the store. NCPD never caught the thugs and dropped the case. This inspired River to become a competent detective with the NCPD, so he can solve cases similar to what happened to his parents. He actually wants to make a difference.

As an adult, River joined the NCPD and became a detective. His sister had 3 children with a deadbeat dad, so River also took on the role of father-figure, as much as he could. However, he and his sister have a falling out due to River prioritizing his work over family. River’s unwavering demand for justice leads him to investigate cases that are officially closed, leading him to be suspended (indefinitely) from the force…but that doesn’t stop him.

River is most well known for his drive to enact justice (whether or not that’s supported by the law). He is also well known for being compassionate and family-oriented. If you play your cards right, River might just shed the mysterious detective exterior and enter a romantic relationship with you.

What We Love About River

River is driven by his sense of justice, wanting to help those who have been wronged, and bring their wrongdoers to justice.
River recognizes the corruption in the criminal justice system, acknowledging that sometimes to do what is morally just, you have to break the law.
River remains devout to his family, taking up the role of the father figure for his niece and nephews.
Due to his traumatic childhood experiences, River developed a hardened aloof exterior, but his actions alone prove he has a compassionate heart.

3. Evelyn Parker

A stunning enigma that you yearn to unravel.

Evelyn Parker is not someone to overlook. Stunning looks aside, she is a cunning, ambitious, and bold woman who will utilize intel she collects during her services as a doll to help forge a better life for herself.

Evelyn originally dreamed of becoming a professional actress, so understanding the hierarchy of the entertainment biz, she figured becoming a doll at the swanky Clouds was a good place to start. Unfortunately, this became far more permanent than she intended.

In 2077, she became a frequent escort to Yorinobu Arasaka. When the Voodoo Boys approached her to create a BD of Yorinobu’s suite at Konepeki plaza to gain intel on the Relic, Evelyn realized she could utilize what the Voodoo Boys wanted for her own profit. So Evelyn–ever cunning, ambitious, and bold–decided to steal the Relic in exchange for money, protection, and a new identity. Unfortunately, this does not work out in her favor…

Evelyn is most well known for being the client hiring you for The Heist. Her intelligence and confidence distract everyone involved from unraveling the truth behind how and why she started this job. Ever mysterious, you do not learn the truth about Evelyn’s past and the conditions she was under that led her to hire you until she is too far gone.

Rogue has always been a force to be reckoned with. As a rebellious teen, Rogue set out to become a solo, working her way up to become a notable merc, fixer, owner of the Afterlife, and anarcho-terrorist.

Rogue is most well known for being the best fixer in all of Night City. Not only that, but Rogue also owns and runs the iconic Afterlife, where only top tier mercs and netrunners are allowed to hang. Let’s not forget her notable past, including her part in blowing up the Arasaka Tower with Johnny Silverhand.

What We Love About Rogue

Since she was a teen, Rogue has proved that she is a force to be reckoned with, starting from nothing, working her way up as a solo, merc, fixer, anarcho-terrorist, and owner of the Afterlife.
Time and time again, Rogue proves that while she can work well with others, she does not need anyone–she is fiercely independent.
Rogue started with nothing and worked her way up to become the best fixer in Night City, highlighting her ambition and drive.
Rogue also provides some refreshing sensibility, especially when it comes to Johnny’s impulsive plans, proving she can control her emotions enough to calculate the best options rather than react based on emotional impulse.

1. Johnny Silverhand

Get the f*** up Samurai, we’ve got a city to burn!

Johnny Silverhand…where does one begin with an icon like Johnny Silverhand? Johnny was always a rebellious spirit, even when was still going by his birth name–Robert John Linder. In 2003, when he was a teenager, he lied about his age in order to enlist in the military. This experience changed him forever, as he came to realize the war he was fighting in was instigated by a corrupt government. During his time in the war, one of his close friends died saving his life. After losing his arm and close friend to the war, Johnny left for Night City, going by the name Johnny Silverhand, in reference to the silver cybernetic arm he got to replace the arm he lost in the war.

After his experience in the corrupt war, Johnny dedicated his life to exposing corruption. He started by co-founding the rebellious rock band, Samurai. Samurai became revolutionary, initiating the rockerboy movement and becoming a viral sensation almost instantly. Personal issues led the band to split up in 2008, but this didn’t stop Johnny. Johnny began a solo music career so he could continue to spread his anti-government, anti-corpo message.

Johnny continued his rebellion for decades. Even when his girlfriend Alt Cunningham was assaulted and kidnapped by Arasaka, Johnny refused to give up. In 2023, Johnny enlisted a crew to commit a history-changing assault on the Arasaka Towers. Although they successfully detonated the mini-nuke, Johnny was captured by Adam Smasher, where Arasaksa proceeded to use Johnny as the guinea pig for their Soulkiller program.

We know Johnny Silverhand as the rockstar terrorist slowing taking over V’s body. To the rest of the world, Johnny is well known for co-founding the history-defining band Samurai, which kickstarted the rockerboy movement, which prioritizes using your music to spread rebellious political messages. Johnny is also well known for leading anarcho-terrorist assaults on corporations, most notably, blowing up the Arasaka Tower in 2023.

What We Love About Johnny

Johnny is opinionated and he is never afraid to voice those opinions, even if it gets him hurt.
Johnny is a very intellectual person, constantly contemplating the complex and uncomfortable topics that many would avoid.
When Johnny sees an issue with the system, he will actually do something about it–it’s one thing to be able to recognize and verbalize deep-rooted issues, but Johnny takes it further by committing to do something about it (usually violent and over-the-top, but clearly that is sometimes needed).
Johnny’s talents are vast, but the fact that he is somehow also an amazing rock musician makes him even cooler.
Let’s not overlook the fact that Johnny kickstarted a revolutionary rebellious movement…he is literally a revolutionary icon!

Electric types are fun, full of energy, and very, very intimidating. We all saw how Pikachu completely roasted Ash Ketchum in the very first season of Pokemon Indigo League, right? And why did Team Rocket want Pikachu so badly? Electric type Pokemon are often slept on, but there are so many great advantages to having one on your team. Which ones should you be comparing? Here are the top ten Pokemon Legends Arceus (PLA) Best Electric Type Pokemon.

10) Rotom

I think Rotom is about to change its form!

Type: Electric/Ghost

Rotom is a fan favorite. Being the only Electric and Ghost type pokemon ever released, Rotom is really one of a kind. In Pokemon Sun and Moon (and Ultra versions) Rotom is introduced as your Pokedex and guide during the duration of your Island Challenges. And since Rotom can have 5 different forms and types (6 is you're counting it's base form), it's a very useful Pokemon to have on your team.

Levitate: Immune to Ground moves

Can take 5 different forms depending on what items it's exposed to
Each item changes Rotom’s Typing; Grass, Water, Ice, Flying, and Fire (with Electric type)

Rotom can be found in the Coronet Highlands around Sacred Plaza, Stonetooth Rows, and the Primal Grotto. It’s not hard to catch, but when it spawns, you’ll be hypnotized by Rotom’s erratic behavior. The items to get Rotom to change forms can be bought from the Ginkgo Guild in Jubilife Villiage.

9) Magneton

Magneton has three eyes...

Type: Electric/Steel

Magneton was the final evolution for Magnemite back in Generation III. This MAG-nificent Pokemon will really PULL you in with its stats. Its Special Attack is enough to make any offensive player intrigued. On top of a well balanced Defense and Speed stat. Magneton does have a high weakness to Ground type moves, but makes up for that since the majority of Pokemon types aren't effective against it.

When I finally caught Pikachu, I felt like I had just caught a legendary pokemon. Being a naive trainer, I never wanted to give it a Thunderstone. A foolish thought! Raichu has serious power! Not to mention top level Speed. Raichu, even at spot number eight, always holds a special place on my team. We even got to see Raichu as a Psychic type back on Pokemon Sun and Moon. This might not have been everyone's favorite addition to Raichu's original form, but nonetheless, it was a pretty neat type combo.

One weakness, Ground Type

Raichu will appear during Space-Time Distortions in the Alabaster Icelands. Also, you can find an Alpha Raichu at the northernmost part of the Golden Lowlands of the Crimson Mirelands.

Type: Electric

Electabuzz meets us at spot number seven. Electabuzz is a solid Electric Pokemon. It has well balanced stats, and with Ground type being its only true weakness, Electabuzz can take on most Pokemon. Also, Electabuzz is yet another example of a classic Pokemon who was given another evolutionary form. But we'll get to that later.

Head to the Alabaster Icelands. This map will be flooded with Electabuzz. IF you head to Icebound falls, you’ll be sure to head into an Alpha Electabuzz. Otherwise, there are plenty to catch by roaming the entire map. In the Coronet Highlands, Electabuzz will be hanging out with an Alpha Electivire outside the entrance to Mt. Coronet.

I wish Electrode would just smile for once.

Type: Electric/Grass

Other than Rotom and its “Mow" form, Hisuian Electrode is the only released Grass/Electric type to date. This unique combination opens the door for new weaknesses. But now, having Electric and Grass types, Ground moves won't be as effective. This interesting new type combo definitely gives you a way to cover all your bases in terms of how you choose your partner Pokemon.

Luxray, at spot number five shouldn't be all that surprising. Luxray has amazing stats, and can be an incredibly tough Pokemon to face if you don't have a Pokemon that knows any Ground type moves to defeat it. Right from the start of the game you can catch Shinx, Luxray's first form. And something about this electrical lion looking feline says strong, yet graceful and above the rest.

An Alpha Luxray can be caught in the Coronet Highlands near Sacred Plaza. You can also head to the Coronet Highlands and right at the beginning of the first base camp, there'll be many at Heavenward Lookout, a few along Sonorus Path, and Cloudcap Pass. There are even some around the Obsidian Fields. Especially at Lake Verity. And when I say some, I mean you'd have to be playing blind to not find one lurking around.

4) Jolteon

Jolteon is focusing all its power into a strategic, Agile Style move.

Type: Electric

Jolteon's frightening Speed and Special Attack lands it at spot number four. Jolteon, evolved from Eevee using a Thunderstone, is a crowd favorite for many Pokefans. Don't let its cute disposition and size fool you. Jolteon doesn't go down easily if you don't have a good matchup in battle. Jolteon has a great Special Defense stat. And with Ground type moves being its main weakness, it only makes sense since a lot of ground moves are Special Attacks.

High Speed stat will almost ensure Jolteon goes first on battle
STAB attacks will have great power, and should be used to hit hard and possibly paralyze tough opponents
Volt Absorb: ability will absorb Electric type moves and heal users HP by ¼… including electric moves that don't deal damage like Thunder Wave

Catch yourself an Eevee right in the beginning of the game at the Obsidian Fields in Horseshoe Plains and evolve with a Thunderstone to get Jolteon. Jolteon also will appear in Space-Time Distortions if you don't want to raise an Eevee. But who doesn't want a cute little Eevee on their team?

Though slower than most Electric types we've read about already, having an Electric and Steel type Pokemon can give you a leg up against several different Pokemon. However, being a Steel type also adds some more weaknesses to the table as well. Magnezone was introduced to Pokemon in the original Diamond and Pearl games for Gen IV. So it's only fitting in the savage days of the Hisui Region, that you can find and raise Magnezone.

Magnezone evolves by using a Thunderstone, (only in PLA,) or by leveling up Magneton in the Coronet Highlands. While at the Coronet Highlands, you will also see Magnezone flying around between Celestic Trail, Clamberclaw Cliffs, and Fabled Spring. Craft a Feather ball, Jet, or Wing ball to have a chance in catching it while he's flying. Don't forget, if you're in a Space-Time Distortion in the Cobalt Coastlands, Magnezone might appear.

Electivire is special since he seems to be a very physically built pokemon. Electivive falls into the same category as our other Gen IV Pokemon in the sense it was an added evolution to Electabuzz. But they hit it with a stacked, well balanced stat line up. Yeah, his Defense is its lowest stat. But in my opinion, if you hit first, everything should run smoothly.

Motor Drive: books speed after being hit by an Electric type move, and takes no damage.
Move pool is very versatile and can learn Ice Punch to help combat its weakness to Ground type Pokemon.
Since Electivire is a physically driven pokemon, teach contact electric movements to deal heavy damage.

Catch the Alpha Electivire at My. Coronet in the Coronet Highlands. In the Alabaster Highlands, you can also encounter Electivire in a Space-Time Distortion. But if you have an Electabuzz, you can evolve it into Electivire by giving it an Electirizer and have him hold it while you level him up.

Thundurus Therian form included, take the number one spot. This sucker is quick. Slightly predictable, but if you don’t have a plan when you're trying to catch it, it’ll be tough. You have to finish the main story and then unlock the quest "Incarnate Forces of Hisui." This was one of the first tasks I actually hated doing. But it's so rewarding when you've completed it. (Spoiler: catching Thundurus does not complete the quest alone.)

Depending on which form you're battling in, either way, Thundurus has stacked stats.
In his Therian form, Special Attack power is a wapping 145! Ensure the move set also compliments its Electric and Flying types.
Using the Reveal Glass, Thundurus will transform into its Therian form.

Thundurus is but one Pokemon you have to capture while completing the quest, "Incarnate Forces of Hisui". Swim out past Sand's Reach between Lunker's Lair in the Cobalt Coastlands. Keep in mind, you can't find him as soon as you're given the quest. Thundurus can only appear during a thunderstorm. (Check your map, the weather icon should be a rain cloud with a thunderbolt). It will be a brutal batter so be sure to save your game before battling Thundurus.
