[Top 10] GoW Ragnarok Best XP Farm Methods That Are Excellent

Being able to repeatedly farm enemies for experience and other resources is very important for quickly acquiring skills and stronger stats. However, for an XP farm to exist the game must have respawnable enemies after each rest/save that you take. This is a common feature in games like Elden Ring and Dark Souls but it doesn’t exist in God of War.

There’s no way to bring back a mob of enemies once you’ve beaten them in God of War Ragnarok, except in the Muspelheim Trials. So, “farming” XP and other resources can only be done by completing quests and favors. Completing main story quests is a great, and the most obvious, way to earn XP so here’s a list of favors(side quests) that will reward you with the most XP.

10. Favor - For Vanaheim!

Every player rightfully assumed Birgir died after sacrificing himself to take down a dragon that was thousands of miles up in the sky. Well, the man is one tough cookie because he survived and is currently trapped in a tower from another dragon. You’ll see his rescue fireworks as you explore The Crater in Vanaheim, so go return the favor by freeing him.

Why For Vanaheim! is Great for Farming XP:

Rewards: 3,000 Kratos and 750 Atreus/Freya XP
The route to complete For Vanaheim! is shared with other favors that can quickly be completed for additional XP, such as In Plain Sight and Stags of the Seasons.
There are also a few minibosses that you can face if you take the side routes for more XP and resources.

9. Favor - Defend Your Valor

It was only a matter of time that you’d get the chance to fight the new Valkyrie Queen Gna after seeing her in action during the battle of Ragnarok. Just like Sigrun in the previous God of War, Gna is an optional boss fight and arguably the hardest enemy in the game. She uses some of Sigrun’s old moves along with her own unique attacks that use Hex and Sonic magic. She can be found on a cliff in Muspelheim after completing the main story.

Why Defend Your Valor is Great for Farming XP:

Rewards: 4,000 Kratos XP and 4,000 Freya XP
This favor is conveniently located right next to the Muspelheim Trials, which would be considered the only “true” XP farm in the game. If she’s too tough then you can quickly complete some trials to gain more XP to be better prepared for Gna.
Upon defeat, Gna drops unique Valkyrie abilities to aid in combat for Kratos and Freya.

8. Favor - Quaking Hollow

Vanaheim is the largest realm that you can explore in God of War Ragnarok. Consequently, it’s home to some of the largest creatures that you’ll fight in the entire game. Upon entering The Sinkholes you’ll hear loud tremors and eventually find the footsteps of the beast that’s making the noise. Follow the giant footsteps until you’re in an underground cave and the giant drake will appear.

Why Quaking Hollow is Great for Farming XP:

Rewards - 4,500 Kratos XP and 1,125 Atreus/Freya XP
Crag Jaw drops a Greater Essence of Regeneration enchantment that constantly regenerates health at all times.
Traveling to Quaking Hollows final location, you will encounter a surprise miniboss and various difficult enemies that award a sum of XP and Vanaheim enchantments.

7. Favor - Born from Fire

Draugrs are the least common enemies you’ll encounter in GoW Ragnarok. So much so that the dual axe-wielding Draugr has been turned into a miniboss called The Hateful. Throughout the realms are lava pit where this miniboss rests until you start the fight by approaching it. Defeat all 6 of The Hateful and close the lava pits for good.

Why Born from Fire is a Great Way to Farm XP:

Rewards: 4,500 Kratos XP and 1,125 Atreus/Freya XP
Each Hateful defeat drops a Chaos Spark. Defeating all Hateful minibosses and collecting all 6 Chaos Spark becomes a Chaos Flame to upgrade Blades of Chaos.
Each Hateful miniboss drops their own set of resources and enchantments.

6. Favor - Hel to Pay

After Atreus releases Gram, he returns with Kratos to stop the massive wolf from literally ripping the nine realms apart. They manage to subdue Gram but the damage is already done. There’s various Realm Tears connecting to Helheim throughout the realms and the Guardian of Helheim demands that they close them.

Why Hel to Pay is a Great Way to Farm XP:

Rewards: 4,500 Kratos XP and 1,125 Atreus/Freya XP
Each Realm Tear drops a Frozen Spark upon each encounter’s completion. Close every Realm Tear and collect all 6 Frozen Sparks to create a Frozen Flame to upgrade Leviathan Axe.
Closing each Realm Tear will drop additional rare resources and enchantments. Completing Hel to Pay will also unlock new blacksmith items to purchase.

5. Favor - A Stag for All Reasons

This favor automatically starts when entering The Crater area of Vanaheim or speaking to Ratatoskr at Sindri’s house. These four mystical stags govern the seasons of nature and wandered too far from their home realm. All four of these stags are located throughout Vanaheim.

Why Stags of Four Seasons is Great for Farming XP:

Rewards: 4,500 Kratos XP and 1,125k Atreus/Freya XP
Finding the Stags and interacting with them to lead them back to their realm is the only requirement making this one of the easier favors.
The path of where a Stag is found usually leads to the final location of other side quests.

4. Favor - The Last Lindwyrms

When visiting Sindri’s house for the first time, Atreus notices multiple creatures living on the World Tree of Yggdrasil. Well, these creatures are the children of Nidhogg, the Protector of the World Tree, who Kratos and Freya killed in Vanaheim. Without their mother, Nidhogg’s children are lost all over the realms and Ratatoskr asks that you capture and return the Lindwyrms to him.

Why The Last Lindwyms is Great for Farming XP:

Rewards: 4,500 Kratos and 1,125 Freya XP
One of the easiest favors to complete. There’s no fighting required; simply a matter of getting to the Lindwyms’ Realm Tears.
Realm Tears with Lindwyms are usually located near fights or puzzles containing high level loot.

3. Favor - Last Remnants of Asgard

The final battle of Ragnarok may be over but Asgard’s remaining forces refuse to give up the fight. Ragnarok was so intense that it fractured space-time to randomly teleport pieces of Asgard and Odin's remaining army throughout the nine realms. You’ll know where these last remnants are because of the large aura of Bifrost surrounding their position. Make sure you tackle these encounters with high level gear as these are some of the toughest fights in the game.

Why The Last Remnants of Asgard is Great for Farming XP:

Rewards: 10,000 Kratos XP and 2,500 Freya XP
One of the highest XP rewarding favors in the game.
Powerful Einherjar are waiting at each encounter, so plenty of high level resources and enchantments are dropped after successfully beating each camp.

2. Favor - Fit for a King

After completing the main quest The Word of Fate, you acquire the Inert Hilt of Skofnung from the first Berserker Gravestone. This special relic allows you to resurrect the violent Berserker spirit of the grave. Berserkers are powerful foes with their own personality and special abilities. Defeat the 12 Berserker boss fights then return to face King Hrolt the Berserker King. This is possibly the hardest favor to complete but also offers the highest XP rewards.

Why Fit for a King is Great for Farming XP:

Rewards: 15,000 Kratos XP and 3,750 Freya XP
The highest XP completion reward of any favor and main quest.
On top of the completion rewards, each Berserker rewards their own amount of XP, resources, enhancements, and pieces of the Berserker Armor set.

1. Favor - Muspelheim Trials (The Crucible and The Final Challenges)

After acquiring the two Muspelheim Seed Pieces, you can begin the trials in Muspelheim with The Crucible. There are three Crucible arenas that can be initiated in different orders to play different trials. The same mechanic happens for The Final Challenges where you must play the trials in different orders for unlock new final challenges. There are 15 Muspelheim Trials in total to beat and replay at any time.

Why the Muspelheim Trials are Great for Farming XP:

Rewards: Each Crucible and Final Challenge awards a different assortment of XP, Hacksilver, and crafting resources such as Divine Ashes, Glowing Embers, Asgardian Ingots, etc.
The Muspelheim Trials is the only true “farm” in the game, allowing you to repeatedly replay challenges for XP and crafting resources.
Different challenges reward different amounts of XP depending on the difficulty of each challenge.

There was a modest amount of content in God of War 2018. You could squeeze 25-30 hours of main missions and side quests out of that game. However, God of War Ragnarok definitely decided to give fans their money’s worth. GoW Ragnarok boasts over 50 hours of content and more than double the amount of side quests, now called favors, compared to its GoW 2018. With so many favors to choose from, these are the fifteen most exciting favors you can play.

15. A Viking Funeral (Svartalfheim)

To start this list off is the honorable funeral for Brok after the events of Ragnarok. There’s no action or fighting in this favor but it is a great cherry on top for the ending of the game. After the destruction of Asgard, have a chat with Lundra at any shop and she’ll inform you of the funeral in Svartalfheim. Travel to Raeb’s Tavern to chat with the dwarves then meet them at small Sverd Sands island. The party will lay Brok to rest with an honorable Viking’s funeral.

What we love about A Viking Funeral

It’s the secret ending to God of War Ragnarok that you may overlook. It gives the players the peace of knowing how Brok’s and Sindri’s story ends.
You also get to reunite with the few dwarves that you interacted with throughout the game one last time, except Lundra.

14. Secret of the Sands (Alfheim)

After completing the main story mission Groa’s Secret in Alfheim, you’ll gain access to The Canyon region. And you’d have to be blind to not instantly notice the blazing sandstorm making it quite hard to see. You can solve this problem quickly by clearing the storm by freeing the creature trapped underground that Atreus senses in pain. The creature is a giant flying jellyfish called the Hafgufa that will clear the storm as it flies away.

What we love about Secret of the Sands

You see how deep the bond between Kratos and Atreus has become. Kratos doesn’t care to aid others when they don’t have to. But, he insists on helping Hafgufa, when Atreus senses the creature in pain, just so he can spend more time with Atreus.
The scene of the Hafgufa flying out of the underground trap into the sky was a key moment in the story trailer presented at the Playstation State of Play. Completing the favor to see how it actually turned out was even more incredible!

13. Animal Instincts (Midgard)

Animal Instincts is one of the earliest favors that you can do as soon as you gain access to Lake of Nine area in Midgard. During Fimbulwinter, a small army of hostile Kol Raiders have made the frozen Lake of Nine their new home. Unfortunately, these Raiders have resorted to being as savage as animals and they’re causing alot of trouble. Take a visit to their four camps and have fun clearing them out before they get out of hand.

What we love about Animal Instincts

Humans were the least common enemies in the previous installment as there was only one fight between Kratos and regular people. That’s been flipped around this game with the arrival of the Kol Raiders, who are more barbaric than actual animals.
Kratos and Atreus start this mission to exterminate the Kol Raiders due to their sled dogs' fear of approaching them after coming across a very bloody scene.

12. Born from Fire (All Realms)

Draugrs were the most common and simplest enemies that you faced in God of War 2018. That’s not the case in God of War Ragnarok as you’ll rarely see them unless in Muspelheim. Except, the explosive The Hateful bossfight that can be found in multiple realms. The Hateful is a dual axe wielding Draugr with incredible speed, large amounts of health, and highly aggressive combat. Defeat The Hateful and obtain a Chaos Flame after closing all six Draugr holes.

What we love about Born from Fire

The Hateful was a very common enemy in the previous installment so seeing it as a miniboss is a nice surprise.
There’s a few Draugrs that’ll randomly appear to make the fight more challenging. Most fans of the series would very easily take out The Hateful on its own.

11. For Vanaheim! (Vanaheim)

During the rescue of Freyr in Vanaheim, the party faces a near fatal situation while escaping through the sky against pursuing dragons. Birgir, an ally Traveler, sacrifices himself to save them by jumping off and bringing the dragon down with him. Somehow that tough guy managed to survive!

After gaining access to The Crater area of Vanaheim, you’ll see the rescue flares from Birgir because he’s trapped in a tower guarded by the Crimson Dread dragon. Return that heroic favor by killing the dragon and getting your comrade back to safety.

What we love about For Vanaheim!

It’s nice to see that sometimes a hero’s great sacrifice doesn’t always equal their death. They’ll just be trapped in a tower for a while.

10. The Broken Prison (Niflheim)

Unlike the previous installment of God of War, Nifilheim has become a training grounds for whenever you want to practice against enemies and try out new moves and attacks. As well as being the location of Odin’s ravens after you’ve killed and the loot that you can earn from it. But after the ending of the main story, you will return to Niflheim to find a prison that has appeared after the final battle. There’s some good loot to find and a few challenging enemies to face. Most importantly, you find the real Tyr locked up in the bottom cell. Once you’ve freed him, you can find him in the other realms afterwards.

What we love about The Broken Prison

As mentioned before, you find the real Tyr this time. No more of Odin’s tricks and disguises. This also gives a glimpse into Odin’s disguise magic since he apparently needs the person alive that he is mimicking.
It’s a good opportunity to put all that combat practice to good use since the training arena is right next to the prison.

9. Freya’s Missing Peace (Vanaheim)

Vanaheim will become wide open for exploring after Kratos has helped Freya break free of her curse after defeating the Yggsdrasil monster. There’s alot of rewards and XP to earn from this favor. A new outfit for Freya, a special runic summon, and her old sword Madoll that deals Bifrost damage will be waiting to be picked up at Freya’s old wedding ceremony. All you have to do is take out the many tough enemies, solve all the puzzles and defeat the surprise boss battle as you exit. Nothing you haven’t done before.

What we love about Freya’s Missing Peace

Mimir talked about all the relationship between Odin and Freya. Now, you get the chance to see where it all started as Freya tells her side of the story.
This favor rivals main quests with all of the diverse enemies that you face and rewards that you can reap.

8. Song of the Sands (Alfheim)

Once you’ve completed the Secret of the Sands and The Reckoning main quest then you’ll be able to access The Forbidden Sands area of Alfheim. Yet again, you’ll find another blazing sandstorm so find the entrance to the second Hafgufa cave. Make your way to trapped creature through all of the Dark Elves and destroy the bindings. Once thats done then prepare for the show as the two Hafgufas finally meet again and sing their sacred song together.

What we love about Song of the Sands

The storm in Alfheim is cleared for good. No more having to barely see 15 feet in front of you.
Stick around and watch the two Hafgufas dance together while singing their song. Eventually, the two merge together release thousands of baby Hafgufas throughout Alfheim.

7. Hel to Pay (Helheim)

Gram’s rampage through the realms after Atreus freeing it results in various Realm Tears connecting to Helheim. This is a big no-no. Hraesvelgr, the Giant Bird guarding Helheim, demands Kratos and Atreus fix the problem that they’ve caused by sealing the Realm Tears. Hraesvelgr says you won’t get a reward for doing so since the Realm Tears should’ve never existed. Well, it must’ve changed its mind since you’ll earn a hefty amount of XP, an Essence of Hel and 6 Frozen Sparks(one Frozen Flame) to upgrade the Leviathan Axe.

What we love about Hel to Pay

It’s your time to see what all you can do with just Kratos because Atreus or Freya have to close the tear on their own.
Helheim is one of the least visited realms that you’d have to go to. So, this a good way to Hel to you, instead.

6. Sigrun’s Curse (Midgard)

Ask anyone who played God of War 2018 “Who’s the most difficult enemy?” and Sigrun will be the number one answer you’ll get. But getting the chance to look into the fearsome Valkyrie Queen’s past is a delightful surprise. If you can look past the strong Hel-Raiders occupying Sigrun’s home kingdom. There’s two different locations you’ll need to search through to complete the quest.

What we love about Sigrun’s Cruse

You’ll learn about the mighty warrior’s kingdom and her secret past relationships that not even Mimir knew about.
If you finish this favor before completing the final story mission then you’ll unlock special dialogue when you talk to Sigrun.

5. The Crucible (Muspelheim)

Once you’ve found the two Muspelheim Seeds to gain access to the realm, you’ll be greeted with The Crucible set in three arenas. Although, there’s an interesting twist where you get a different set of challenges depending on the order of the arenas that you go to. So, if you start at the third arena first then go the second arena, you’ll get a different challenge than if you went to the first or second arena before that.

Needless to say, the trials of Muspelheim are much more diverse than they were in God of War 2018. Consequently, these trials are far more enjoyable as well.There’s a total of six Crucible Trials before you can start The Final Challenges.

What we love about The Crucible

The trial arenas are more traversable and offer more ways to quickly get rid of enemies without using too many attacks.
Complete The Crucible to earn the Sutr’s Armor set, which is one of the most powerful armor sets in the game and is very useful in the Final Challenges.

4. The Last Remnants (All Realms)

After completing the main story, there’s are wreckage sites of the remaining Asgard forces. These Einherjar are fighting to the very end and each site scattered throughout different realms. Luckily, you didn’t have to fight some of these Einherjar in the final Ragnarok battle because these are some of the strongest enemies yet.

What we love about The Last Remnants

It’s a great end-game challenge as some enemies are stronger than some of the Berserkers and other minibosses.
There’s an aura of Bifrost that surrounds these bases so that you don’t accidently walk into a fight you're not ready for.

3. The Final Challenges (Muspelheim)

Drop down to the main arena once you’ve completed of six Crucible trials for the final set of trials. There are nine of these final challenges and each presents a different challenge with different requirements to win. Such as the Rampage challenge where you must kill at least twenty enemies in 150 seconds. After each final challenge, you must complete two Crucible trials in order to start another round of Final Challenges.

This quest is great for players who love a grind due to replaying the Crucible trials to unlock new Final Challenges.

2. Defend Your Valor (Muspelheim)

“Oh my goodness, I hope I don’t have to fight her!” is more or less what everyone was thinking when you see Gna for the first time. Gna is the new Valkyrie Queen that Odin recruited after Sigrun’s corruption. Naturally, Gna uses some of the same attacks as Sigrun, such as the Valhalla jump attack, while using new attacks based on Sonic and Hex magic. Fortunately, you don’t have to beat 12 Valkyries like last time to fight the Queen. All you have to do is beat the main story and Gna will be waiting patiently on a cliff in Muspelheim. Be well prepared as she’s possibly the hardest boss in the entire game.

What we love about Defend Your Valor

Gna is angry at Freya for “abandoning the realms” and you can hear their argument all throughout the fight.
Since you have to get close to Gna for the fight to start, you can stand back and Gna will only throw insults at Kratos’ and Freya’s status as warriors. Hence the name of the favor.

1. Fit for a King (All Realms)

During The Word of Fate main quest, you’ll interact with a Berserker Gravestone to acquire the Hilt of Skofnung. The only thing that this Hilt can do is to activate the other Gravetones to face the wicked Berserker spirits trapped inside. There are nine Gravestones but 12 Berserkers you must fight against because of mult-boss fights. Certain Berserkers drop incredible items such as different pieces of the Berserker Armor set, amulet enchantments, weapon upgrade materials and a lot of XP.

Once you’ve defeated all of the Berserker then return to the original gravestone to face King Hrolt the Berserker King. Hrolt utilizes the same attack moves as the other Berserker but does so with more aggression and a larger pool of health. Once you defeat him then you’ll be able to use the Hilt of Skofnung’s true power, which summons the trapped Berserker spirits to help battle against enemies.

What we love about Fit for a King

As a whole, this favor is the ultimate challenge. Each Berserker possesses their own unique powers and personalities that they’ll gladly display as they chop you down.
It’s surprising to see Mimir has a hatred of the Berserkers almost on par with Odin with the tales of wickedness and horror that he has about them.

[Top 5] GoW Ragnarok Best Parry Shield (And How To Get Them)

God of War Ragnarok introduces an arsenal of powerful shields at your disposal. Each shield has it's own advantages and disadvantages. But the most important and universal feature found in every shield is parrying. If you can master parrying then you'll dominate any enemy in the game with ease. So, here's all of the shields ranked on how well they do with parrying.

5. Onslaught Shield (Best for mid-game to end-game)

One of the more unique shields that have been introduced in Ragnarok is the Onslaught Shield. And it’s very situational as its Shield Rush ability allows you to rush at enemies while blocking, eventually bashing them with the built up stun energy. This makes it a great option for closing the gap against long range enemies with pisky projectile attacks. But, that’s as useful as this shield can get since the Shield Rush ability only increases in damage the longer you rush. So, a Shield Rush against a nearby enemy won’t do much damage at all.

How to get this item:

Located in a Legendary Chest after the Gram bossfight in Helheim or can be purchased later in blacksmith shop

4. Stonewall Shield (Best for early-game to end-game)

Parrying can be tricky, especially for newcomers, and that’s fine. The Stonewall Shield solves that problem by not needing to parry at all. This sturdy shield absorbs all enemy attacks, except red unblockable attacks, and stores that energy for a short time. When it’s time, use the shield bash to slam the shield into the ground to stun nearby enemies with the stored energy. This area-of-effect blast makes the Stonewall shield a great option when facing large mobs of enemies.

You can purchase the Stonewall Shield from the blacksmith shop.

3. Shatter Star Shield (Best for mid-game to end-game)

Possibly the most fun shield to use in Ragnarok is the Shatter Star. This shield is more about defense but it can open up a lot of offensive opportunities when used properly. The shield will fully charge after 2 seconds of blocking or by parrying an enemy’s attack at the last moment. The stored energy of the Shatter Star can be used at any moment by unleashing a powerful concussive stun blast. This concussive blast will literally send light enemies flying and interrupt heavy enemy’s attacks for follow-up attacks.

How to get this item:

Located in a Legendary Chest in The Abandoned Village of Vanaheim.

2. Guardian Shield (Best for mid-game to end-game)

Making a return from God of War 2018 is the resilient Guardian Shield. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to use it until the mid-game after Sindri and Brok repair it from the early Thor fight. This shield is the most balanced of the five shields that you can use. It’s great for defensive and offensive situations and caters to virtually every playstyle. If you’re unsure about which shield to use then you can never go wrong with the Guardian Shield.

How to get this item:

You automatically receive the Guardian Shield from Sindri and Brok during the The Word of Fate main story quest.

1. Dauntless Shield (Best for early-game to end-game)

Once you master parrying with the Dauntless Shield then you’ll be unstoppable. The high risk/high reward nature of this shield makes it perfect for very aggressive playstyles. Every successful parry charges the shield so that you can release it at any moment with a shield strike to inflict heavy stun damage to enemies. A last-second parry provides the shield with even more stun damage to deal. Also, some of the highest damage dealing combos that you can perform require the Dauntless Shield.

You can purchase the Dauntless Shield from the blacksmith shop.

A New History

A cataclysm struck a millennium ago, nearly destroying all civilizations. Homelands were sundered, empires burned, and whole nations exiled themselves. From the ashes of this catastrophe, the Knights, Vikings, and Samurai rose again. They struggled to rebuild their nations, trying to recapture the glory of their ancestors.

For Honour’s take on the medieval knights is both refreshing and terrifying. The new videos revealed two classes: the Warden and the Conquerors. Both promising to be brutal and merciless in their quest to defend their lands from their foes. Mostly made up of a collection of petty warlords and mercenaries, the Knights have now rallied together under a single banner against the greatest threat of their time.

The Warden

These, chain and plate clad warriors are both offensive and highly adaptable. Armed with the legendary Longsword, no victory is out of grasp and no foe unbeatable. They offer a good deal of offense and defense and no man shall stand between them and their honor. Clad in plate armour, they and especially difficult to kill and difficult to stand against.

The Conquerors

They are ex-convicts and forced conscripts who have risen to the rank of elite soldier. With their heavy armor and strong defense, they overcome their enemies by destabilizing and finally crushing them through an infinite array of attacks.

The Samurai

If you thought the Samurai can’t get more bad-ass, then Ubisoft aims to disappoint you. Having struggled for centuries and having lost their homeland, the Samurai are finally on their feet. Being vastly outnumbered, they rely on their skills and cunning to survive.

The Kensei

They are the living incarnations of the Bushido, the samurai way of the warrior. They wield the Nodachi, a katana once thought to be too large for real war, now serves to protect the noble heritage of the samurai. Equipped with the best armor from among them, the Kensei live up to the name of Sword Saints. They are masters of various martial arts and have mastered a level of perfection most warriors could dream of.

The Orochi

They are Imperial Assassins. Roaming the battlefield like ghosts, terrorizing and slaughtering anyone in their way. They harass and counter their enemies and with the right skills, an unstoppable weapon. Their greatest strength is in exploiting the weaknesses of their enemies and are masters of patience and precision.

The Vikings

Probably the most brutal and bloodthirsty of the three factions, the Vikings are men who live and die in battle. With an unmatched ferocity, the Vikings strike fear in the hearts of all men. Their disregard for personal safety and the love of death is one not found among other factions. Death is not an obstacle, it is their destiny.

The Raiders

Found at the forefront of the Viking Horde, hacking down any enemy stupid enough to stand their ground, they are the Vikings archetypal warriors. Wielding the two-handed Dane axe and with their brute strength, no enemy can shield themselves from the Raiders. They are the embodiment of both intellect and carnal rage.

The Beserkers

They are both chaotic and fast. Their savage love of combat and bottomless hate for their enemies makes them one of the most deadliest warriors. They use their Dual Axes to harass and combine infinite chains of attacks to obliterate their enemies.

The 5 Best Characters from Injustice 2 (So far.....)

A Clash of Titans

This year we got to witness superheroes going at each other's throats in theaters , but what can get more epic than you getting in on those battles yourself? Injustice 2 will be set to expand on the already established story of the Dark Knight versus The Man of Steel in Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Along with this epic premise, one can expect an incredible roster of superheroes to play as, and with the new “Gear System” every battle is guaranteed to be Unique. Even though only a select few characters were officially confirmed, I would like to give my opinion on the best characters that I would love to play as.

Please note that the term “best”will be used loosely, generally referring to new game-play experiences and overall fun and not referring to how strong they really are.

5. Atrocitus

I guess chilling out isn’t in his style........

The infamous leader of the Red Lantern Corps, Atrocitus draws his power from Rage in the emotional spectrum. Atrocitus, a fan favorite is a less mainstream character finally coming out of the shadows.

From the gameplay trailer, Atrocitus might opt for more brutal, rage-filled attacks partially relying on energy based moves like the Rage plasma. In my opinion, Atrocitus will be a breath of fresh air, since Green Lantern and Sinestro are widely known and it is high time for new Lanterns to take up the stage.

4. Gorilla Grodd

I... am.... Grodd!!!! the original Prime Ape!!!

If you’ve watched the CW’s Flash, you might know how awesome Grodd really is. A highly intelligent primate with psychic abilities was an unexpected hit with fans worldwide and now we get to play him in Injustice 2.

Grodd will mostly rely on a brutish fighting style and psychic attacks. Psychic attacks probably mean things like making your enemy beat himself up with his own hands. I mean, how cool is that?. A known enemy of mankind, what Grodd will be up to in the sequel is up to anyone’s imagination.

3. Aqua-man

That looks better. Best clothing choice you’ve made in a while.

Being the King of Atlantis comes with a few perks, like telepathically controlling sharks to devour your enemies and or asking the Kraken to smash their heads into the floor. Aqua-man loses his shirt and presents himself as the warrior King he is. Wielding his iconic trident and Super telepathic abilities, one could wreak havoc on their enemies in a spectacular fashion.

2. Batman

A billionaire who builds combat suits and beats up bad guys...Badass.

Come on, what kind of list would this be without Batman. The Dark Knight comes back with a new look and hopefully, new moves. And this time, with customizable gear and upgrades, who knows what Batman is capable of.

I for one cannot wait to see what gadgets and tech Batman will be bringing to the battlefield and the myriad of ways he dispatches his enemies using them.

1. Harley Quin

Being Jokers girlfriend, she sure does live up to that title.

If you don’t like Harley, you’re probably as messed up as Mr. J (that’s the Joker). When I first saw her reveal trailer I knew that she would be one of my favorite characters. It's not just about the game-play as Harley Quinn brings a little extra crazy into an already crazy story.

From cool weapons like huge mallets and baseball bats to trusty sidekicks like your friendly hyenas. I mean, who doesn’t like to beat Wonder Woman or Superman up with a huge hammer and then have their faces eaten off by your lovely pet (i know that’s a bit dark, but what can I say?).
