10 Ways Activision Can Improve Black Ops 3

How Many Of These Would You Change?

Call of Duty is an extraordinary franchise, a real fan favourite. But are they taking steps forwards or backwards? There has been controversy amongst Call of Duty fans after the last number of releases, claiming that the game has lost its way. Black Ops 3 saw them return to their roots somewhat. We know they can still improve. These are the top 10 downfalls in Black Ops 3, and how Activision can resolve them in the next release.

1. Small Maps

Nuketown. The only small map players are happy to see.

A lot of the maps feel really small. You can get from one side of the map to the other in no time. I am not sure if it because of the actual map size, or perhaps the movement system brings about this feeling. Wall running, double jumping. The nature of the game creates a pretty cramped feeling.

How to fix this?

Creating bigger maps. More open space, rather than building on top of each other. This will allow more room to set up camp, and destroy enemies. Or, maybe alter the movement system? Activision could revert to the old flow of the game, take away the double jumping, the wall running. Classic CoD.

2. Server Connection Issues

The oh-so dreaded error code.

Between error codes, disconnecting, in, unable to get online and losing campaign progress, I have experienced more than enough server related issues. Nothing is more frustrating than disconnecting mid game, or losing all progress half way through a mission. It needs to be sorted.

How to fix this?

I am no server connection guru, but what I can understand is that there need to be an improvement. Activision may need to hire better employees to establish better connection, or invest more money into their server system. Either way, it’s a big area for improvement.

3. Tedious Campaign Missions

“Yawn. Boring computers again… can we do something fun?”

The campaign isn’t like it used to be. The storyline just isn’t there, and in actual fact the missions themselves are extremely repetitive. A long drawn out build up, followed by a poor climax. And then repeat.

How to fix this?

Activision need to put more effort into developing a good storyline. There was a countless number of features added into the game in multiplayer, as well as additions to co-op campaign and saving progress online. The focus was strayed, quality campaign experience should come first in my mind.

4. Late Gun Unlocks

I can’t wait to level 52. I want it now!

I understand the multiplayer ranking system, the higher a level you are the more rewards you get. However, for someone who enjoys entering into the next prestige when they reach level 55, I feel at a disadvantage for the majority of levels. For example the sheiva, the semi-automatic beast. Unlocking this gun at level 52 seems unfair and limits the amount of users who can play with this weapon.

How to fix this?

Make the best guns in the game available at a lower rank. It’s simple. The game will be more entertaining to play if you can utilise the best guns in the game for the majority of the prestige. I am not suggesting that every gun should be available from level 1. But perhaps level 20, or 25. Something closer to the lower range.

5. Matchmaking Uneven Teams

12 in the lobby? Make it a 6v6. Simple!

Whether its uneven numbers, or an uneven skill balance, the matchmaking system can prove very poor on occasion. I have been in ground war lobbies where it was 5 against 7, or 6 against 9. Imagine how dominant one team would be, because of a simple numbers advantage. Another case is the skill balance, this makes for unfair gameplay and unenjoyable. Especially when there are a team of first prestiges against a team full of master prestiges.

How to fix this?

Improve the matchmaking system. Activision needs to develop the system in play that matches similar ranked players against eachother. Surely they can implement a system that involves even numbers or maybe a 5v6. As well as mixing players of all skill ability amongst each other, to produce fair teams.

6. Specialist Characters

Re-jack, please re-move yourself.

The specialist characters never excited me. Having played against countless enemies using them, I dislike them even more. Some of them are really bizarre and overpowered. For example, Rejack can bring a player back to life once they have been killed. I am definitely not a fan of this and it is just annoying to play against, it ruins the flow of the game. If he’s dead, he’s dead.

How to fix this?

Simple, take them out. It really is that easy. Activision don’t have to try and remaster these specialist characters or develop them in anyway. Just remove them from the game completely.

7. Bad Spawn

“How did she get behind me?”

I believed the days of bad spawns were gone. Times when you were killed in open battle, to then immediately spawn in front of the opponent. And be killed again. However I was wrong, from spawning in the enemies’ base to spawning at the enemy flag in domination, there is a clear problem. There can be times when you spawn behind enemies and pick up easy kills and you think this is a “good spawn”. But it really isn’t, it’s a flaw in the system.

How to fix this?

Improve the spawning system. Activision need to review the current setup in play and develop it so you spawn closer to your team mates. And make spawning beside an enemy unheard of. Becoming a free kill for your opponent is definitely not enjoyable. Neither is being killed from behind, because your opponent had a lucky spawn and ruined your kill streak.

8. Shock Charges

So small. Yet so evil.

Black Ops 3 saw shock charges making an unwelcome return. I have to admit they are not as powerful as they used to be. But they are still a nuisance to play against. Getting paralysed by a shock charge almost always ensures certain death. The only tactical equipment I disagree with and with good reason. It still feels to over powered and unrealistic to be included in the game.

How to fix this?

Replace it with a different tactical. I understand what the developers are trying to create with the shock charge, completely paralysing a player for a number of seconds. In my opinion, they need a new way to deliver it. Perhaps a tactical that when thrown, sticks to a nearby enemy and shows up on the mini-map as a red dot.

9. Time to kill

“WHAT?! WHERE WAS HE AT?! I DIDN’T EVEN SEE HIM?! *****!)”

On occasion it seems like I am dead before I see the shooter. The time to kill in this game varies so much. What I mean is, it seems to take me forever to kill someone else, yet I die almost instantly! Or maybe that’s just my poor gun skill… but seriously.

How to fix this?

Decrease the time to kill. By increasing the health each player receives. Or perhaps, decreasing the damage of the guns. Activision could do one of the two, or both. This needs to be developed and tested to pinpoint the best ratio of health, to gun strength.

10. In Game Lag

Sigh – “Not again.”

Few things are more frustrating than in-game lag. When you are dominating your opponent and the game starts to lag, you could almost throw the controller at the screen. Seriously. Skipping and glitching across the map, with your bullets unable to register, is one way to send you in a rage.

How to fix this?

Activision need a better system that can handle the bandwidth. The person in the lobby with the best connection should be awarded with host, it makes sense. Whether Black Ops 3 hosting was based on ping alone it is unknown. All connection requirements should be required such as upload and download strength.

Let’s Face It. Many CoD Fans Were Not Happy With The Gameplay in Black Ops 3. Will Activision Be Able To Redeem Themselves With Infinite Warfare?

The Call of Duty franchise has been through many highs and lows. Some say that CoD produced its best games in its early days, such as CoD 4 and MW2. Many die hard CoD fans will agree, the Modern Warfare days brought about the most enjoyable Call of Duty experiences to date.

The last number of games have become too futuristic. The majority of us didn’t like it, right? CoD fans want to play a realistic shooter. They don’t want to be flying 10 feet in the air, dodging and diving. People want fair gun fights and being able to outsmart the enemy. They don’t want enemies boosting across the map, flying over builds and bombarding them all at once. They want feet firmly on the ground, entertaining gameplay.

That’s what CoD is all about, isn’t it? Many fans have left the CoD community and believe it has passed its day. Saying that the games have become stale and lost their Call of Duty feel.

Advanced Warfare is a great example. Many fans simply hated this game. It just wasn’t Call of Duty. The gameplay reminds people of other games like halo and destiny. Boosting, jumping and flying about is meant for these other games. Not CoD.

The latest game, Black Ops 3, saw CoD return to roots. By removing the exo suits, the gameplay began to flow more smoothly. But there is still a lot of work to be done. In the eyes of many fans, Black Ops 3 was still a let-down. The important thing is, it was an improvement on advanced warfare.

In this article, let’s talk about how what was wrong about Black Ops 3. Then on to the fun part. We will at the next game to come out, Infinite Warfare. And discuss whether or not it can redeem Black Ops 3.

So, let’s begin with Black Ops 3.

The Five Major Downfalls of Black Ops 3

There were many downfalls in Black Ops 3, some were bigger than others. Let’s take a look at the top 5 downfalls of Black Ops 3:

1. The Single Story Campaign Was Boring As Hell

What’s next? Killing more robots? I never would have guessed…

It’s no lie, Call of Duty’s campaign isn’t what it used to be. It’s gotten stale and boring. A lot of effort is put into game modes and features, such as co-o. Rather than the storyline of the campaign itself. The missions are repetitive and follow the same boring pattern. A long dragged out build up, followed by a poor anti-climax. Mission, after mission you expect the same thing. Open field shootouts with robots and humans, over and over.

2. Annoying Specialist Characters That Ruin Multiplayer Gameplay

Damn all 9 of you.

Just no. I am not a fan of the special characters at all. They aren’t fun to me. They don’t seem call-of-duty-y, if you know what I mean. Maybe they belong in other games, like halo or destiny. But not in CoD, not in my opinion. Specialist characters ruin the flow of matches. By using their overpowered specialist character, whether its rejack bringing them back to life or firebreak burning you to death. Maybe these rewards belong in the score streaks category. I know everyone has a special character so it balances out. But does everyone need one? Does everyone deserve one? Even players who are playing poorly can activate their specialist character. It’s like a pity feature. CoD is about dominating your enemy, giving them no sign of hope. No mercy.

3. Ridiculous Spawning System Giving Players Free Kills

“How did he get behind me?!”

CoD have had different spawning system in every game, some worked well, and some didn’t. In Black Ops 2 I thought it was done quite well. In Black Ops 3, it didn’t work well.

Whatever system they used in other CoDs, they need to bring it back into the game. Spawning in an enemies base, which may be fun, is actually very annoying for opponents and unfair.

Imagine you are playing domination, have captured A flag and are going to push for B. All of a sudden you are killed from behind, because an enemy got a “lucky spawn”. Annoying right.

4. Inconsistent Time To Kill Causes Gamer Rage

Kill an opponent before he can even react

Time to kill is how long it takes an opponent to kill you once they have started shooting at you. Time to kill worked well in some CoDs, but not so great in others. In my opinion, they done this well in Black Ops 2. It just flowed well.

But not in Black Ops 3. It is inconsistent. Sometimes you are killed before you can even get a shot away, other times you wonder how you survived for so long.

5. Stupid Maps That Don’t Make Sense

What even is this…seriously?

Apart from the incredible Nuketown. There are too many small maps in Black Ops 3 that aren’t enjoyable to play. In these futuristic games, you can get from one side of the map to the other very quickly. Which is frustrating for games like search and destroy, which is more enoyable at a slower pace.

Infinite Warfare

Now, on to the fun part. Let’s talk about IW. Discussing a new game is always entertaining.

At least I thought.

Advanced aircraft. But where are we flying, Russia? China? … The moon?

Infinite warfare is bringing us into space. Yes, when we thought it couldn’t get any more futuristic, they are sending us into space. Really?

I prefer playing on Earth. And I am sure you do too. The game is still being made, so we aren’t sure what to expect right now. So let’s not be too negative.

After all, when remove Black Ops 2 was released, remove fans hated it. They didn’t like the futuristic gameplay, compared to the Modern Warfare games. But, Black Ops 2 was the most successful game the CoD franchise released!

Take a look at what we have learned about Infinite Warfare: the good and the bad, on everything we know so far.

The Good

Zombies

Zombies is a first for Infinity Ward. Can they beat Treyarch at their own game?

Back to the good old zombies. Zombies first appeared in Call of Duty in World at War, thanks to Treyarch. Since then Treyarch have improved the Zombies experience with perks, weapons and even a storyline.

Now, Infinity War are having a go at Zombies. They have listened to the CoD fans, and got rid of extinction. Extinction involved aliens rather than zombies. Which is kind of weird. Aliens would have made sense in this game – seeing as its set in the future.

Enough of that. The undead are making a return and it is always a fan favourite, let’s see how Infinity Ward’s first attempt goes.

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Makes A Return

Call Of Duty 4 is set to make a return. Will we be reunited with good old Captain Price?

Yes, you did read that right. The legacy edition will have a remastered edition of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. If this doesn’t get you more than excited for this release, then I don’t know what will. This alone could make the release great. As long as they keep everything from the original CoD 4 the same. And simply improve the graphics and a fresh environment. It should be a classic.

The Bad

Its Set In The Future & In Space

“Where’s the eject button?”

Everything I didn’t want. I’m sure many fans will agree. As usual Call of Duty has took the easy option. Keeping up with the latest trends. Which is the futuristic warfare. But is that really what the franchise has turned into? That’s the reason it has disappointed so many fans, turning them to other games. Space seems like a step backwards, rather than a step forwards.

Super Advanced Weapons & Equipment

Bring back the modern armour. None of this metal clothing.

This comes with futuristic setting, but is still a bad factor. IMO. Drones flying about, futuristic armour and combat robots were all in the last trailer. It’s not star wars – come on.

Can IW Redeem BO3 Or Not?

There isn’t much information out on the game yet, we are still waiting for the multiplayer gameplay trailer. But from the recent trailer, the game has seen bad reviews.

Again, let’s not forget the negative reviews of BO2, which went on to become the most successful game of CoD.

Regardless of the game still being developed. I am willing to say yes. Yes IW can redeem BO3.

Maybe not so much IW, but the legacy edition.

I mean a CoD Modern Warfare Remastered edition – come on! This is the most excited for a release I have ever been. Which is set for 4th of November 2016 by the way. This could literally make or break the franchise for me, if they hit the nail on the head. Successfully remastering the game that initially put CoD on the map, what could go wrong? As long as they don’t try involve their futuristic hovering, I can’t see much them failing.

10 Things That Make Black Ops 3 Zombies Fun

Zombies has been around in Call of Duty since World at War. Here we had our first experience of the undead. In Nach Der Untoten. Since then zombies has had many upgrades and changes. We even saw it replaced by aliens once, which didn’t go down to well.

Thankfully Black Ops 3 featured the Zombies game mode. It is literally hours and hours of fun. Playing solo, multiplayer or a private match with some friends, it is very entertaining. If you were good at zombies in previous games, you will probably be pretty good in BO3.

So, let’s talk about the top 10 things that make zombies fun.

10. Buildables

Use the Wonder Gun to create black holes and suck Zombies into them

There are loads of items scattered around the map. By themselves these items are useless. But, if you craft the correct items together, you can make something useful. Find a workstation to craft your objects together. What’s even better is you can even create powerful wonder weapons. Usually you need to kill something to get these items to drop. You may even be able to craft an elemental sword.

9. Headshots

What could be sweeter than blowing the brains off of these ugly mugs?

Shooting an enemy in the head in Black Ops 3 will kill them quicker, in online gamplay this very hard. Players are always running on walls and jumping about, which makes them a difficult target. Playing Zombies is the best way to practice killing enemies with a head shot. Think about it, zombies are slow, they don’t change direction very quick and more are less an idle object for the beginning rounds. Plus, what could be better than ripping the heads of the undead, splattering their guts amongst one another. As a reward, taking those headshots will also help you save your ammo for later rounds.

8. Perks

Buy some Juggernog to give you extra health - you will need it!

Perks are also known as Perk-A-Colas. You can get these cola drinks from vending machines all over the map and drink them, each drink gives you a different perk. Perks like Juggernog can give you extra health, speed cola can make you quicker and double-tap root beer can help you shoot faster. Or give you healing powers like stanim-up, so when players are down you can save and revive them quickly.

7. Pack-A-Punch

Build up your score to 5000 points so you can upgrade your weapon and dominate the Zombies.

Pack-A-Punch lets you upgrade your gun and it refills your ammo. All for only 5000 points! This is a really cool feature, it is recommended that you use it on the best guns. Such as a ray gun, to make them even more deadly! You can then use your upgraded weapon to destroy the Zombies, and make life a little easier, for a few rounds at least.

6. Fumigator

Try your luck with the fumigator to earn a cool reward.

With a fumigator you can harvest pods all around the maps. These pods contain power up perks and sometimes even guns! At the beginning of the game you will most likely get power up perks. You may get lucky with a gun once you get into those higher levels. Let's be honest, everyone wants to get a ray gun, more importantly we don't want our friends to get one before we do. As a zombie killer we want to complete as many rounds as possible, but we want to top the leaderboard. If you are lucky enough to earn some great guns you may top your leaderboard with no questions asked.

5. Claymores

Plant some claymores to watch your back, whilst you demolish Zombies from the front.

These are extremely fun in online multiplayer. They work a treat in zombies as they are also one hit kill for the first 27 rounds. Even after that they still deal loads of damage. Watch zombies walk into your war path and be blown to pieces.

4. Monkeys

How could these cute bundles of joy harm anyone?

Toss these bundles of joy as far away from you as possible. Watch zombies rush towards the entertaining monkey and…boom. It blows up. The zombies are dead. And you got some entertainment. Not to mention, a break for the horde of zombies following you. Monkeys can really help in life or death situations and are extremely fun to use.

3. Knifing

Make it interesting for you and your commrades - who can get the most knife kills?

If you find the first few rounds of zombies boring, try knifing all the undead. Don’t use your weapon and save your ammo. Knifing zombies to death gets quite difficult and can be challenging. It’s enjoyable and beneficial as you can save all that ammo for later rounds whilst gaining points. Test your friends and see who can rack up the most knife kills without dieing, if you want a real thrill!

2. Easter Eggs

No, not a real easter egg. Although it does look like one...

There is an Easter Egg in the map called Der Eisendrache. It was added to Black Ops 3 with the Awakening DLC expansion. It is combined with the secret trophy “My Brother’s Keeper”. If you can complete this Easter Egg you will be rewarded. You will get to see a cutscene that prepares us for the future zombies mode. I’ll not spoil it. It’s a great reward in my mind. A real sneak peek!

1. Training

All aboard the Zombie train - next stop deathville.

The objective of zombies, is to kill the zombies. In the first few rounds you can camp in corners and easily pick up kills. As the rounds progress, zombies get faster. More and more zombies start to come. Camping in a corner wouldn’t be the best idea. Instead you need to train the zombies. The idea is, you run around and have the zombies following you. In a big a group as possible. Make sure to run in open space so you don’t get trapped. Then when you have a big group, turn around and shoot them all down! This is a great way to stay alive and save ammo. You will get a lot of collateral damage.

I’m glad to have zombies in Black Ops 3. As you can see, there are more than enough ways to have fun in this game mode. I recommend you try all of these out, it will make your zombie experience more challenging. As well as enjoyable.

Black Ops 3 is an action packed, fast-paced, Sci-Fi first person shooter. From wall running to double jumping, the game is firmly set in the future. You can enjoy hours of fun on the game, destroying enemies and exploring the futuristic maps.

Your love for Black Ops 3 doesn’t have to stop there. When you are taking a break from your gameplay, maybe you would like to watch a movie and relax. Well, the good news is there are movies out there, which are similar to the Black Ops 3 setting!

11. Terminator Genisys

Arnold is back. But is he a robot or human?

In terminator Genesis we see Kyle Reese time travelling to the past. From 2029 back to the year 1984. But it isn’t the 1984 we are used to, 1984 Terminator Genisys has robots and machines fighting against man-kind. What we would call, future warfare.

Their ultimate goal is to change the past events and prevent the robot warfare that is currently going on. Arnold Schwarzenegger who we see pictured is a terminator guardian, along with Sarah at his side, who is a very skilled fighter. Together they help Kyle in order to protect themselves from the terminator assassin, and to prevent the future robot war!

In Black Ops 3 campaign mode there is a lot of battle against robots – terminator is no different. In the Genisys movie, Arnold and his team must fight against the robots. But there is a twist, Arnold is half robot, he was programmed to be a protector for Sarah.

That’s not all. Black Ops 3 is full of explosions, in multiplayer and in the campaign, from airstrikes to rocket launchers. Just like in Terminator Genisys which is action packed from start to finish.

10. Eye In The Sky

Advanced spying technology, used to track terrorists.

Eye in the sky is set in the present time, with reality warfare. Drone warfare and terrorist attacks are the main tactics used in this movie. The British military team have to capture a dangerous extremist, so they use their aerial technology to help them.

This technology allows the team to spy on terrorists from the other side of the world, through video technology. They also use drones to keep an eye on the terrorists and potentially fire at them. Using their spying technology, they see that the terrorists have explosives.

So they prepare for a suicide attack. It’s cool to see how this technology can be used in real life situations, to track and attack enemies.

Heads up – suckers!

In Black Ops 3 we can experience aircrafts in the campaign mode, so we can be the eye in the sky. When we play multiplayer we can use our UAVs, which are mini drones that scan the map for us. Much like the spying technology used in the film, eye in the sky.

And of course, let’s not forget the artillery. Rolling thunder, hell storms and lightning strikes are all featured in Black Ops 3. They are heavy airstrike killstreaks.

But what will happen in eye in the sky? Will they pull the trigger and launch these deadly missiles? Check it out to see what happens.

9. American Sniper

We follow the most lethal sniper in U.S military history in this movie, Chris Kyle. Whilst in Iraq he is faced with a tough decision. A young Iraq boy holding a strange object, makes his way over to the U.S. soldiers.

The boy begins to run at the soldiers holding what appears to be a missile. Will Chris pull the trigger or not?

This isn’t his only war experience in the movie. Chris makes the journey home to his family and goes back to war, a number of times. All the explosions and kills, will it all be too much for Chris?

Black Ops 3 SVG-100. One of the most powerful weapons to destroy enemies with.

When we play Black Ops 3, we kill without thinking about it. If we die, no biggie, we will respawn soon enough. American Sniper gives us an idea of what it’s like to be a real soldier.

When we get a kill in Black Ops 3 we think awesome, where is the next opponent? Is that what Chris thinks? As the most accurate sniper of all U.S. time, you would think he must be ruthless, no mercy.

If you love to snipe on Black Ops 3, using your SVG-100 to rip enemies apart with one shot, take a look at how Chris does it so effortlessly. He brings the sniping to life.

8. Elysium

Set in 2154, the film Elysium is a story of two worlds. Earth, home of the poor. And Elysium, a space home, for the rich to live a luxurious life.

Those who live on Earth are in poverty, starving, with poor technology and health care. Those on Elysium have the opposite. They enjoy all the latest technology so that they can live a healthy life. Oh, and one other thing, robots have been designed to run the Earth and the humans, and on Elysium they serve the humans.

Max Da Costa (Matt Damon) is the star of the film. Long story short, he is sent to Elysium with an exoskeleton attached to him. We see him go head to head with Kruger who also has an exoskeleton, in a battle to take down Elysium.

Check out the movie to see what happens to Max on Elysium. Will he be able to break the barriers between those on Earth and Elysium, and bring about equality?

Up, up and away. Boost into the air in Black Ops 3 with futuristic jumping.

Exoskeletons. They are featured in Advanced Warfare, giving us jet packs and increased speed and so on. But we also see similar abilities in Black Ops 3.

When you think about it, double jumping, wall running are all non-human abilities. Humans need technology to do these things.

While Earth is run down, Elysium is in great condition. Clean and futuristic, just like the Black Ops 3 theme. If you are a fan of these technology improvements, be sure to check out Elysium!

7. Edge of Tomorrow

Armoured up and in the field of battle, Tom Cruise looks worried.

Edge Of Tomorrow takes place in the distant future, where Earth has been invaded by Aliens. Tom Cruise stars in the movie playing as Cage. Cage is ordered to lead a fight against the aliens, but he refuses.

He is forced to do it anyway after being arrested. Cage has no fighting experience, but the invasion goes ahead and Cage dies. However he wakes up back in the airport, a day before the invasion.

He tries to convince people that they are defeated by the aliens at the invasion, but no one believes him. He continues to go into battle, death and after death, replaying it over and over. Will he ever come out of this death loop? Will they defeat the alien race?

Shooting whilst wall running is no easy task!

Similar to Elysium, this movie features exoskeletons. Which is technology to help Tom Cruise and others to fight. With no fighting experience Tom Cruise must train.

In Black Ops 3, it is like he is a noob to the game. He must learn the movements, and the flow of the game. How to put jumps, running and shooting together, before he can take on these aliens successfully.

6. Lone Survivor

4 Navy Seals, by each other’s side through thick and thin.

A war film, set in Afghanistan. U.S navy seals are sent to capture a Taliban leader, responsible for killing many U.S. soldiers, but it doesn’t go to plan.

They accidentally run into teenagers innocently looking after animals. At the start, they capture them and think about what they plan to do. They decide to release the teenagers and forget about the mission and head home, knowing that the teenagers may alert the Taliban.

As they try to escape the Taliban spot them. They are extremely outnumbered and begin in a war against the Taliban, the navy seals stick together no matter what. But do they make it out alive?

Team work makes the dream work.

Black Ops 3 is all about, gun skill and team work. You need to be a good player, but you also need team mates. People you trust to kill opponents with!

When you have a plan you want your team mates to follow it, whether it is search and destroy or domination. There is an objective to the game mode. Black Ops 3 saw more objective-based game modes than any other Call of Duty.

Watch the navy seals teamwork, and how important it proves for their survival. They are up against heavy fire, rocket launchers and a lot of enemies. We all know the RPGs in Black Ops 3, as well as the unfair team numbers!

5. Pacific Rim

Four monster Jaegers, storming the Pacific Ocean.

Pacific Rim is set in the 2020’s, when Earth is at war against monsters that have come from the Pacific Ocean. The monsters begin to attack different cities, starting in San Francisco.

Humanity unites to create their own giant monsters, called the Jaegers. These robots are made to fight the pacific monsters that are destroying the Earth. The Jaeger robots are controlled by two humans, putting their minds together, to use the machine.

Will these Jaegers be able to stop the Pacific monsters?

Campaign Upgrade – hijack enemy robots to use for your team.

If you played Black Ops 3, then you experienced the robots. The human vs robot warfare. Well, if you liked that, then you are in for a treat.

Only in this movie, there is bigger monster, and bigger robots. In Black Ops 3 we have to attack the robots. But, in campaign mode if you use cyber cores, you have the ability to change robot enemies into robot teammates so they join your forces.

In Pacific Rim, the robots are on the human’s side as well. The humans get to create the robots, to use for their advantage in order to destroy the Pacific monsters.

4. Dredd

In a town of destruction, Dredd is humanities last hope.

Set in the future, where U.S is a wasteland. In particular, Mega-One City. With a population of 800 million people, there are up to 17,000 crimes taking place every day with things beyond out of control.

It’s up to the Judges to stop the mayhem, namely Judge Dredd. The film is based on a drug lord who has full control of a 200-block building. Her drug is deadly, and she wants to take over the city.

It’s up to Dredd and his team to do something about it. Oh and one other thing, Judge Dredd is dressed head to toe in armour. Pistol, knife, grenades, and of course he has his motorcycle with a machine gun and powerful laser cannon.

Create your weapon how you want, so you can kill in style.

In Black Ops 3, we have new guns, new iron sights and new attachments. The most advanced ammunition for our weapons, and we can even personalise our weapons. With paint and camos, whatever you like.

Dredd takes weapon personalisation to a new level. His pistol only responds to his hand print. So if an enemies tries to use his gun, boom. Their arm is blown off.

Not to mention, the pistol has up to six different types of bullets, who needs 6 guns when you have Dredd’s lethal pistol.

3. Total Recall

1 man, 1 pistol, 10 police men. What happens next?

In a world destroyed by chemical warfare, there are two different territories. The United Federation of Britain, and the Colony of Australia.

Many people who live in the colony, work in factories in the UFB. Including Douglas. The main character, Douglas is tired of his job, he doesn’t want to build robots for the rest of his life.

So, he takes a trip to recall. A place where artificial memories can be put into your brain. Such as a secret agent or a crime fighter.

Before the memories are implanted, Douglas recalls his own real memories of being an agent. From then on, everything he knew wasn’t the same. The UFB and the police robots try to hunt him down and kill him.

The UFB plans to take over the Colony, and it is up to Douglas to kill off all the robots and stop them. But how can he?

Robots aren’t afraid to get their metal hands dirty.

Robots, robots, robots. The robots that Douglas worked to build in his own factory, are the very robots that now want to capture him. Funny that.

In Black Ops 3, as well as Total Recall it seems that robots are becoming weapons. In the campaign we see robots time and time again. And it is us against them. Check out Total Recall to see can Douglas take down the robot army.

2. Looper

I wonder who Joe’s next victim is?

In 2074 time travel is developed, and immediately made illegal. The only people who use it are criminals, they send people they want to be killed back into the past. Where they are killed by “loppers”, and it is all done in secret.

The main character, Joe, is a looper. His victims are sent back in time, he kills them off and gets his reward that has been attached to his victim. Sounds simple.

But what happens when you are a looper, and your next victim is yourself?

You can run, but you can’t hide.

In Black Ops 3, some people like to camp, to stay alive. Some people like to run around the whole map shooting at everything and everyone, hoping they get a kill, but inevitably die.

Others, like to destroy the enemy and stay alive at the same time. With the movement system, wall running, double jumping, escaping your enemies is very do-able. If you enjoy dominating your enemies, and staying alive to earn those killstreaks, you may enjoy this movie.

Watch young Joe and old Joe, hunt each other down, shooting, escaping and killing others in the process. And of course, who lives?

1. Battle: LA

It looks like the end of the world. Has judgement day finally come?

When meteors strike the earth, it turns out to be worse than expected. These meteors are spacecraft’s containing an alien race, and there is hundreds and thousands of them.

Los Angeles is being invaded first, but the aliens want to colonize the whole planet, and wipe out the human race. It is up to a retired marine sergeant, to come back into duty and lead the soldiers to fight off the alien invasion. Will they kill off the alien race, or be invaded and humanity destroyed?

Knowing where your enemies are, makes them easy targets.

The alien species use drones and radio transmissions to track down the humans. Remember when you got those kills in Black Ops 3 and called in your UAV? Well, these aliens have unlimited UAV. An underground command centre allows the drones to receive the radio information.

This is their UAV equivalent. When playing Black Ops 3 multiplayer, knowing your enemies position is very important. It becomes easy to dominate the opponent. Imagine how the human race feels in battle, it’s up to them to destroy their source of radio signal, and save humanity.
