Fallout 4’s Commonwealth is a harsh wasteland, surrounded from end to end by raiders, mirelurks, deathclaws, and bloatflies that just want to rip your limbs to shreds. As your pre-war character steps out from Vault 111, it’d be insane for them to not want the best protection available to keep their head attached as they look for their missing son.

Luckily, Bethesda is generous enough to provide you with a suit of power armor fairly early into the game, complete with a minigun to turn your enemies into a beehive. They’ve gone above and beyond to make the power armor feel like an absolute beast as you trek your way across the destroyed streets of Boston.

However, Bethesda being Bethesda, they’re not exactly the best when it comes to making life easy for the players. Fallout 4’s power armor could stand to have a few more tweaks and improvements to make things much more fun. Thankfully, we’ve got modders to save the day.

Here are the 10 best mods for power armor that are absolutely essential when doing a power armor playthrough.

10. Power Armor Animation Changes

Suit up, soldier.

A staggering difference between vanilla animation and mod animation.

The slow and clunky power armor brings a nice touch of realism and immersion to the world of Fallout 4. But, while that’s all nice and dandy, the obscenely slow animation of entering and exiting the power armor kinda gets annoying after the 5th time. A faster animation does exist in the game files, but Bethesda decided to lock that animation only for when you are in combat.

Power Armor Animation Change by somberX fixes this issue by making the faster entry and exit animation the default for every situation, even outside of combat. The difference is like night and day. The vanilla animation takes roughly 15 seconds to get in and out of the power armor. Meanwhile, this mod cuts that time by half, getting in and out in only 7 seconds.

And if that’s not fast enough for you, this mod also provides an instant entry and exit animation. This one kinda warps you through the armor’s back so you will be sacrificing immersion for this. I still believe the “Fast” animation is what everyone should go for. It strikes the perfect balance of immersion and quality of life and it’s absolutely essential for power armor players.

9. P.A.M.S - Power Armor Movement Sounds

Experience the true sound of power armor.

You can feel (and hear) the difference in weight.

If you’re an audiophile like me, then you would find the vanilla movement sounds incredibly lacking. The sound of each step in your power armor simply felt underwhelming and you don’t feel like the badass mobile tank that you are. Fortunately, we’ve got the perfect mod to fix that.

P.A.M.S - Power Armor Movement Sounds by ONIXer is a wonderful little audio mod that changes the bland noise of your power armor to something much more heavy and metallic. You can definitely feel the power coursing through your ears with every step you take.

The mod comes with a few variations to fit your preference. PAMS Heavy changes the sound to be much heavier and weighty. Light is somewhere in the middle of vanilla and heavy. As for me, I prefer the light version. The heavy version can be a bit distracting to gameplay sometimes. There are also versions that add hydraulics or robotics sounds if that’s your preference.

8. Power Armor Material AND Paint (PAMAP)

The paint and material mod are now two separate modifiable slots.

Now you can have decent protection while having a hot-rod paint job.

I don’t know what was going through Bethesda’s mind when they decided to put the material and paint modifications on the same slot. Logically speaking, you should be able to paint the power armor after lining it with your desired material. We all just want to pimp our power armor without gimping its stats, Bethesda. What’s so wrong with that?

Thankfully, a mod author by the name of Mcgan also shared my frustration. His mod, Power Armor Material AND Paint (PAMAP) works simply to separate the material and paint, giving each their own slot. Now you too can don your Hot Rod-themed power armor without sacrificing your defense from explosions.

This is a simple, yet excellent mod and is a must-have for any power armor enthusiast.

7. Power Armor HoloHUD

A more compact and less intrusive power armor HUD.

Fallout 4’s power armor HUD is strange. During the day, it’s transparent (for whatever reason) and at night, the HUD is solid in color. This odd inconsistency is not only distracting and immersion-breaking, but it also blocks a huge chunk of the screen with that ugly HUD. Of course, some people like the aesthetic which I get. But for me personally, I much prefer a cleaner and more compact HUD when I’m wearing my power armor.

Power Armor HoloHUD by maximluppov aims to do just that. The mod takes away the metallic look of the HUD and rearranges the various dials to make it as compact as possible, allowing for a better view of your surroundings.

If you’re like me and use immersive HUD in your gameplay, then this is a great mod to complement it. I, for one, can’t play Fallout 4 with the HUD turned on anymore. You start to realize just how distracting the HUD is whenever you want to soak in the scenery.

6. Take Your Cores

The fusion core transferred from the power armor to the player's inventory automatically.

Adjust the timing and distance for when you get your fusion core back.

Remember the good ol’ days when your younger sibling would take your 3DS and play with it without permission, so you passive-aggressively hid all of the game cartridges so he won’t be able to play anything on it anymore? Yeah, me neither.

But someone certainly turned that scenario into a mod. Take Your Cores by darkconsole allows you to automatically retrieve the fusion core used after getting out of your power armor. Not only is this mod convenient, but it also prevents NPCs and settlers from wearing your power armor without permission, which is an annoying design choice in itself.

So if you don’t want to see some random settler taking your superexpensive toys and playing with them without your permission, maybe consider getting this mod.

5. No Aggro Impact Landing (Power Armor)

Cause an earthquake in the middle of town and not get shot.

Jump around town in full power armor and face zero repercussions for it.

In power armor, you are effectively a walking tank. Every step you take spells death to your enemies. No one in their right mind would ever pick a fight with you...unless you drop from a two-foot ledge in power armor.

This mod by mm137 is a godsend. Realism is important, sure, but it gets really annoying when the entire population of Diamond City decides to open fire because you caused a magnitude 6 earthquake in the middle of town by accident.

This mod disables aggro from non-hostile NPCs when you drop from a ledge that’s a smidge too high. With this mod, you can effectively parkour around the city like a tank on red bull.

4. The Brotherhood Power Armor Drop Team

What’s more badass than wearing power armor? How about having your power armor airdropped to you by your fellow brothers and sisters for you to start wreaking havoc on the freakshows of the Commonwealth. Ad Victoriam!

This mod by EdmondNoir is one of the best mods if you’re doing a power armor AND Brother of Steel playthrough. Imagine being in a firefight against a group of super mutants and they’re starting to overwhelm you. Just call in a power armor and turn the tides in an instant!

But in all seriousness, this mod is perfect because walking around in your power armor can be slow, tedious, and drain your fusion cores. I play mainly in Survival mode so this is a huge problem for me. Thankfully, this mod fixes all those issues and makes me fall in love with the brotherhood even more. 3. Hellfire X-03 Power Armor

How can you possibly make a top 10 best mods for power armor list without featuring the absolutely stunning power armors created by the talented modding community? Fallout 4 features a lot of good power armors, but after the X-01, things get a bit stale. Sometimes you just want to wear something new.

The Hellfire X-03 Power Armor mod by unoctium was inspired by the Enclave’s Hellfire Armor from Fallout 3’s Broken Steel DLC and is one of the most badass looking armor ever. It lives up to its name with its specialized AOE fire (can also be plasma) attack and the pyro-styled helmet.

The power armor presentation itself is very lore-friendly, relating the armor to the Enclave from Fallout 3 as well as its antagonist. If you’re a fan of the Enclave or tired of the X-01 power armor, then I highly recommend getting this mod.

2. Enclave X-02 Black Devil Power Armor

Be the Batman that the Commonwealth needs, but not the one it deserves,

Find the armor abandoned in a secret location full of enemies and dangers.

At first, I was going to put the Hellfire X-03 Power Armor above the X-02, but this new take on the Enclave’s X-02 Power Armor by C1ph3rr is just so good, I had no choice but to put it in 2nd place. This is, in my opinion, the best version of the Enclave X-02 power armor mods and it shows. It really shows.

The Enclave X-02 Power Armor codenamed: “Black Devil” lives up to its name with the absolutely gorgeous, yet absolutely menacing design. The armor itself is inspired by the Enclave’s power armor from Fallout 3; so again, if you like the Enclave or want a new power armor in your roster, this is the one to get.

The mod comes with the Tesla version of the armor to add the energy-infused feel for those maining energy weapons. The textures of the power armor are crisp and detailed and are definitely one of the best-looking power armor mods out there.

1. Excavator Power Armor

Just look at this absolute unit of a power armor.

Find both versions aptly hidden within the quarries of the Commonwealth.

Fallout 76 may not have been the greatest game to have come out from Bethesda’s game factory, but goddamnit, they’ve got some real sick power armor designs. In my opinion, one of the best unique-looking power armor from Fallout 76 is definitely the Excavator Power Armor.

Developed by newermind43, this mod brings the Excavator Power Armor from Appalachia to the Commonwealth along with its glorious construction-themed design. While the X-03 and the X-02 were cool and badass, the Excavator Power Armor just feels different. Instead of feeling like Batman or a pyro from hell, you instead feel like a bulldozer just ramming your way through hordes of Commonwealth scum.

The mod author did a great job in bringing this power armor to Fallout 4 by building it from the ground up. This is a very high-quality mod and I highly recommend it to anyone who’s planning to go for a power armor playthrough and settlement building (cause it just makes sense).

This is probably one of the most awesome creations I’ve seen as a character, the Ghost of Sparta himself setting foot on Tamriel is just a dream too good to be true, though he won’t be coming anytime soon and smack Molag Bal or decapitate merry Sheogorath, with a character like this I’d be roaming around, hacking and slashing my way through anything as you look and feel like a God, The Barbaric war paint fits nicely, the Nordic Muscular Build, fierce eyes and signature Beard, you can never go wrong with this striking appearance, just set this on your toon and Kratos looks will do the work for you, this is probably the perfect Stamina Dragon knight or Axe Wielding Cold Warden, This is always a good choice which will stand out no matter what.

The Hollowfang Thirst Set is a Dungeon Set that drops in Moongrave Fane which comes with the Scalebreaker DLC, it is one of the most popular healer sets and especially effective when your group has more Magicka DPS as it provides them with even more sustain.

The Set is probably the most versatile 5 Piece Set of all as you can pair it with almost anything and it will work well, even if your group is not all Magicka Based, as it will most likely help Tanks too with maintaining their resources and it also provides additional healing.

The uptime on this set is also great even though you need to critically heal or damage, with the amount of HoTs and Skills you cast, it will almost always proc every 9 seconds, the only downside is that you need to make sure your group understands that the exploding ball of blood is a buff though.

1. Spell Power Cure

The Faint Aura on the hands is Major Courage.

The Spell Power Cure Set is a Dungeon Set that drops in White-Gold Tower in the Imperial City DLC, it provides your group with the Major Courage Buff.

This is probably the best and most essential Healer Set in the game so work on getting this 5-piece set as soon as you can as it provides the much-needed Major Courage buff to your group as long as you can overheal them, you can apply the buff as long as your heals can reach your group, unlike Olorime which needs positioning.

To overheal your group easily, you’ll need to cast your Healing over time Skill on your group and cast your Combat Prayer at least twice, this will make sure your entire group gets the buff especially during trials.

It may take some time to get used to this as you need to constantly cast heals on the group at full health which may eat up your Magicka Pool, so make sure to space out your heals in the 5 second window, heavy attack and pop a potion when needed or when low.

Tips:

Keep your distance on enemies to make sure you avoid damage and maximize your ranged passives
Always manage your DoTs to maximize your DPS on your enemies

The Warden PVE Healer is one of the best options, if not the best role for the Warden, Great for Dungeon Healing and Trial Healing, utilizing multiple Burst Heals and HoTs, sustain and buffs to keep your group up and running, and applying key debuffs on your enemies.

Burst Healing, Buffs and Sustain even for Larger Groups
Applying Debuffs on enemies constantly
Insane Resource Management

Tips:

Always keep your Combat Prayer up as it will increase your group’s DPS greatly
Always have a Heal Over Time on your group to avoid getting bursted down and apply your set’s effects such as Olorime or Spell Power Cure which will increase their DPS via Major Courage.
Coordinate with your group to make sure you maximize your Aggressive Horn and Use your Ultimate Burst Heal when needed.

22. Wolfhunter

The Wolfhunter DLC features two dungeons, Moonhunter Keep and March of Sacrifices, both of which are Werewolf Theme In Moonhunter Keep, you enter a fortress where you must fight through packs of Werebeasts and unforgiving forces of nature to save an Order of Werewolf Hunters from an Ancient and Powerful Werewolf named Vykosa.

In March of Sacrifices, you are brought to the Hunting Grounds fighting against a vicious band of Hircine’s worshippers in the hunt to gain a Daedric Prince’s Favor. The Dungeons are challenging and provide achievements to the worthy such as Titles like ‘Alpha Predator’ and ‘Hircine’s Champion’, a ‘Beast’ Personality, which makes you look and move like a true predator, Lastly, one of the coolest mementos in the game.

The Werewolf Behemoth Sigil which you can get even on Normal by doing the Great Indrik Hunt Side Quest in the March of Sacrifices dungeon, it allows you to briefly transform to a Gigantic Werewolf Form, these are a go-to if you are going for a Werewolf Vibe.

Though this DLC features some great rewards, for 1500 Crowns the gear and monster sets in these dungeons are underwhelming in the long run compared to what you can get in other DLCs.

21. Horns of the Reach

The Horns of the Reach DLC features two dungeons, Falkreath Hold and Bloodroot Forge, both of which are Reach Themed.

In Falkreath Hold, you come to the aid to the people of Falkreath as their last line of defense against the combined forces of the Minotaurs and Reachmen.

In Bloodroot Forge, you must delve deep to stop the Minotaurs and Reachmen from harnessing the powers of the Bloodroot Forge.

These are exciting to run, and provide some worthwhile rewards, just entering one of the dungeons provide you with the Bullhorn Emote, Mock those Minotaurs!

Finishing Bloodroot Forge on any difficulty allows you to buy Bloodroot Vine Furnishings, and completing Falkreath Hold will net you the ability to buy the Horns of the Reachmen Furnishing, both available at the Undaunted Quartermaster for some Barbaric Esthetics

Lastly Finishing Veteran Mode from Bloodroot Forge rewards you with the ‘Bane of Beastmen’ Title and a Great Tank and Healer Monster Helm with Earthgore, which will heal you or an ally going below 50% for 10K HP, basically an Automatic ‘Oh I Messed Up’ Switch.

In Conclusion, with the Monster Set and Rewards, a trip back to Falkreath, Smacking Minotaurs and Reachmen alike for 1500 Crowns it is quite the deal, I’d personally wait for a sale since there are still better ones.

The Dragon Bones DLC features 2 Dungeons, Fang Lair and Scalecaller Peak, with a mix of Dragons and Necromancy as themes

In Fang Lair, you enter an ancient ruin in hopes of stopping a powerful necromancer from reanimating a deadly Dragon.

In Scalecaller Peak, you journey towards the peak to stop a group of cultists from unleashing a deadly plague onto Tamriel.

Entering any of the Dungeons provides you with a new hat, the Renegade Dragon Priest Mask, there are two sets which are useful, Fang Lair’s Caluurion Set works great on Magicka Necromancers and Scalecaller Peak’s Jorvuld’s Set is a must farm for Healers.

Another Highly Coveted Reward from the Veteran Mode Dungeon is the Zaan Monster Helm which is one of the best single target focused sets for Magicka DPS to get.

With the Decent Monster and Dungeon Sets, The Necromancy Theme and fights with a Bone Dragon and Dragon Priest, I’d say it’s well worth the 1500 Crowns.

19. Shadows of the Hist

The Shadows of the Hist DLC includes 2 Dungeons, Ruins of Mazzatun and Cradle of Shadows, both of which are Argonian Themed.

In the Cradle of Shadows, you team up with the Shadowscales to destroy a band of Assassins who worship Mephala.

In the Ruins of Mazzatun, you join Heem-Jas, as you enter the Puzzle City in a bid to save his tribesmen from the clutches of the powerful Xit-Xaht Tribe.

Entering any of the dungeons rewards you with the ‘Heroic’ Personality, makes you look as if you can take on anything.

There is a useful niche healer set from Cradle of Shadows, The Gossamer Set, where when you heal an ally, they take 25% less damage from AoE Attacks, Another Useful Set is the Velidreth Monster Helm from Veteran Cradle of Shadows, which can be quite a good option for Stamina DPS Toons.

Heem Jas, the Argonian trying to aid you in Ruins of Mazzatun is one of my Favorite NPCs, A mix of heroism and cowardice makes for some fantastic lines

Even With the lack of useful Sets, the dungeons have some unique Mechanics involving Darkness and the Hist, Heem Jas’ Wit also makes up for it, battling Mephala and dangerous Argonian Tribesmen, I’d Say it’s worth the 1500 Crowns.

18. Harrowstorm

The Harrowstorm DLC features 2 Dungeons, Unhallowed Grave and Icereach, this DLC prepares players for the Greymoor Chapter to see what they are up against.

In Icereach, you are sent to investigate a storm brewing in the island with Great Lyris Titanborn, uncover what the witches are hiding and stop them in the process.

In Unhallowed Grave, you dive into an ancient tomb alongside Fennorian of House Ravenwatch to stop a group of Nord Graverobbers from unleashing a forbidden power.

Entering any of the Dungeons provides you with a new Emote ‘The Wickerman Mishap, a funny emote which will leave you burning.There are several decent sets from this DLC, one is Unhallowed Grave’s Aegis Caller Set which has a cool effect of summoning a Whirling Guardian to deal AoE Damage, decent set for Stamina DPS especially in large groups of monsters.

Then there is Icereach’s Bani’s Torment Set, a great selfish set for tanks when you need a load of survivability against a single target, best used against a hard-hitting boss.

Lastly in Veteran Unhallowed Grave, you can acquire Kjalnar’s Monster Helm which is a great option for Magicka DPS especially for Necromancers and Nightblade, with a spooky animation of Summoning Skeletal Hand to attack the enemy once you proc it.

Unhallowed Grave also features unique mechanics involving grappling hooks and secret bosses, which if you find and defeat them all, you will be given damage and survivability buffs to battle the main boss, and the ‘Knock Knock’ Achievement and the collectible Bloodrune Face Markings.

With good sets for both Dungeons, unique Boss Mechanics, Emotes, for 1500 Crowns I’d say this is a must if you are planning to play Greymoor as it acts as a Trailer for the Chapter.

17. Wrathstone

The Wrathstone DLC features 2 Dungeons, Frostvault and Depths of Malatar, this DLC is the first step that Leads to the events of the Elsweyr Chapter.

In Frostvault, you assist Treasure Hunter Tharayya to explore an ancient Dwarven Ruins that is hiding an ancient artifact.

In Depths of Malatar, you team up again with Tharayya as you dive right in to a forgotten Ayleid Ruin in search of the secrets it so heavily protects.

Entering any of the dungeons will provide you with a new Hat, the Ayleid Royal Crown.

There are two decent sets from this DLC, Frostvault’s Tzogvin’s Warband is a decent starter Stamina DPS Set, Great to have while you don’t have your trial gear yet.

Then there is Depths of Malatar’s Symphony of Blades Monster Helm, acquired in Veteran, which is Best in Slot for Healers due to the sustain it provides.

Finishing the Dungeons on Veteran also give great Rewards, completing Depths of Malatar will reward you with the ‘Meridian Purified’ Skin and completing Frostvault will reward you with a Pet Icebound Dwarven Spider.

With the unique skin and pet collectibles, Best Healer Monster Helm, for 1500 Crowns this is a must have especially if you’re planning to go for the Elsweyr Chapter.

16. Stonethorn

The Stonethorn DLC features 2 Dungeons, Stone Garden and Castle Thorn, both of which are Vampire Themed.

In Stone Garden, you investigate a laboratory in the depths of Blackreach to find out what secret’s the mad alchemist Arkasis is hiding.

In Castle Thorn, you storm the ancient Castle in attempts to stop the Thorn Legion from amassing an Army that threatens Skyrim.

Entering any of the dungeons reward you with a pet collectible the ‘Energetic Dwarven Spider.

There are a couple of decent sets in this DLC, one is Stone Garden’s Arkasis Genius which is great for tanks with its Massive Ultimate Generation, and Castle Thorn’s Lady Thorn Helm, which is obtainable on Veteran, you can release a synergy in the form of a blood ball, to damage nearby enemies and reduce their damage, Great for Tanks looking for a decent Monster Helm.

Finishing the Dungeons on Veteran also reward you with nice rewards, for Castle Thorn you get a cool skin, the ‘Reanimated Vampiric Thrall’ makes you look like one of those blood fiends, and for Stone Garden, you get a nice memento of juggling potions around.

What’s unique about this DLC is the Stone Garden mechanic where you can find a variety of reagents and with enough skill in alchemy, you’ll be able to craft them into potions that will benefit you for the rest of the run.

With the unique skin and sets, Stonethorn is justified at 1500 crowns if you are looking to add a set for your tank or just looking for ways to look like a dreadlord with the skin.

The Scalebreaker DLC features 2 Dungeons, Moongrave Fane and Lair of Maarselok, with themes both related to Dragons.

In Moongrave Fane, you join the Dragonguard, Chevalier Renald as you attempt to stop the Vampiric Hollowfang Clan’s plans with their Dragon Captive.

In Lair of Maarselok, you team up with the imprisoned forest spirit Selene and her captor, Carindon as you fight to save the Jungle Sanctuary from being destroyed by a malignant blight and the Dragon Maarselok.

I find two sets particularly interesting from this DLC, one is the Moongrave Fane’s Hollowfang Set, a Best in Slot Healer Set which increases Magicka Sustain and Healing for your group and Lair of Maarselok’s Azureblight Reaper Set which is a great stamina AoE DPS Set

A reward you get on completion of Veteran Moongrave Fane is a pet called the ‘Undaunted Porter Scamp’ Great if you want a Daedric Pet.

In Conclusion with the Sets being decent, Dragon Themes which are always welcome, the exchanges from Selene and Carindon are always a listen, for 1500 crowns, especially if you’re a healer this is a go-to.

14. Murkmire

The Murkmire DLC consists of a new zone, Story Quest line and an Arena.

Murkmire is a region in the south of the Black Marsh, made up of jungles, Ruins, exotic flora and creatures surrounding a swampland, it is also home to the little-known Naga.

You start off being recruited by an Imperial Scholar in search of an ancient relic with forbidden powers which takes you deep into Argonian History, Culture and its People.

Rewards include a pet upon entering the region, and some awesome weapons for completing the Arena. Primarily the dagger, destruction staves are useful and theirs a niche use for the restoration staff when you require more single target healing,

The Elder Argonian and Dead-Water Motifs are where it’s at, these can be acquired from Daily Quests from Lilmoth, engaging delves and world bosses in Murkmire.

The Storyline is epic with a great cast of new characters from the different Tribes, as you progress through the storyline these tribes will let you experience what it’s like to be a Saxhleel.

In Conclusion, with the deep lore involved with Murkmire, Arena Weapons, Beautiful Landscape of Jungles and Ruins, and the awesome voice acting, for 3000 Crowns it’s a great deal especially if you’re one to love Argonian Culture.

Upon Entering any of the dungeons you will receive an outfit for a two-handed weapon, the ‘Fire-Forged Maul’

The Sets from the dungeons are all good, but the ones of best value are the sets from Black Drake Villa, Particularly Drake’s Rush for Tanks due to the group ultimate generation, Kinra’s Wrath for Stamina DPS is outright stronger than any of the previous Stamina sets we covered, and Encratis’s Behemoth which you can get on Veteran as it increases Flame Damage for your allies, favored for both Healers and Tanks.

The Dungeons feature new monsters straight out from Oblivion with a lot of interesting mechanics, so you should be on your toes as you roll through here especially on Veteran

A reward of particular interest is If you are up to the challenge of completing The Cauldron on Veteran, you can get a Skin called ‘The Dagon’s Viscerent’ an awesome Oblivion themed skin for your efforts.

In Total, this is one of the best Dungeon DLCs out there and for 1500 Crowns I would highly recommend this because of the useful sets it has and more if you are planning to get Blackwood too as it serves additional lore for the Chapter.

12. Dark Brotherhood

The Dark Brotherhood DLC features an entirely new zone, quests and achievements geared towards the Mysterious Dark Brotherhood.

In the Dark Brotherhood, you are offered to join the group in the Gold Coast, become an Assassin and rise to the ranks as you send souls to Sithis and learn more about them.

Just by entering the Gold Coast you are given the ‘Assassin’ Personality, a Knife Wielding sinister look, one of my favorites!

As you join the Dark Brotherhood you are given the ‘Shrouded Armor’ costume and progress an entirely New Skill Line focused towards making your soul sending easier.

I don’t recommend any sets from this Zone but the Dark Brotherhood and Assassin’s League Motifs from the daily quests are some of the best especially if you are looking to set yourself apart from the crowd, though that’s something you don’t want as an assassin, you can afford it.

Another thing here is the unique Dark Brotherhood Furnishings you will get to buy as you progress the story and for finishing the Main Quests you will get another Awesome Outfit which is ‘The Black Hand’.

One of my sought out furnishings here is the ‘Candle of Silence’ which you have a chance to get from the Shadowy Supplier when selecting the Dialogue Choice “Have anything that can help me less noticeable?”, Best for your Shadowy Home.

Lastly, you can get a polymorph called ‘The Cadaverous Assassin’ one you complete all the killing contracts for the Black Ledger.

The Main Quests will test your Sneaky skills to their limits as you sneak, stab your way through the Gold Coast, I’d say this is one of the quest lines which is satisfying start to finish, and the side quests which you will find notable NPCs from the past zones that you can help and catch up with whatever business they have in Dark Brotherhood Territory.

In Total, with the Epic Questline, New Skills, Furnishings, free costumes, Polymorphs and awesome atmosphere of the Gold Coast ,at 2000 Crowns this is one of the best DLCs you can get.

The Markarth DLC features an entire region dedicated to The Reach which also includes a new Arena, Markarth serves as the conclusion of the Dark Heart of Skyrim Story.

In Markarth, you will join forces with House Ravenwatch as you explore the dangerous Reach and the Blackreach Cavern’s below to find out what the Gray Host is planning.

As you enter the zone, you will be rewarded with a Dwemer themed hat called the ‘Arkthzand Anfractuosity Shroud’

The Arena, Vateshran Hallows is a challenging Solo Dungeon which will reward you with ability-altering weapons, finishing it on Veteran also gives you the best Black Dye in the game ‘Void Pitch’

You can also get some of the coolest motifs in the game from the Daily Quests available in Markarth which can reward you with Nighthollow and Wayward Guardian Motifs.

In Conclusion, for 2000 Crowns The Storyline after Western Skyrim is great as it closes out the chapter with a satisfying twist, the Weapon Rewards, and the zone is well designed and really brings out how wild and dangerous The Reach is.

The Greymoor DLC features a new trial location, world events, The antiquities system and an entirely new zone spanning Western Skyrim, bringing back the Nostalgia with Locations like Solitude, Dragon Bridge and Morthal.

The Story takes you all around Skyrim to investigate mysterious events concerning so called ‘Harrowstorms’ that is the beginning of a sinister plan of a powerful Vampire Lord.

As for the Sets one of the most sought out sets for Healers coming from Kyne’s Aegis Trial is the Roaring Opportunist, it’s a set that greatly increases your groups DPS output.

The Antiquity System, which is an all-new way of getting items such as exclusive furnishings, Powerful Mythic Items and even a Dwarven Mount, as you progress here you will also be rewarded with an Antiquarian Costume and a Two-Handed Outfit resembling a Pickaxe.

Lastly with the Bard’s College quest, which tasks you to retrieve multiple musical instruments, once you can retrieve them all you are rewarded a Music Box for your Home, currently the only one obtainable through achievements.

In Conclusion, with the Unique Antiquity System, Challenging Trial Designs, Capturing Skyrim’s Atmosphere and Storyline this is highly recommended, at 3500 Crowns this is a deal for the content.

The Imperial City DLC includes all new items, two new Dungeons, White Gold Tower, and the Imperial City Prison and the entire area of Imperial City dedicated to PVP.

In White Gold Tower, you race to the top of the tower while fighting off hordes of Daedric forces in pursuit of a Stolen Elder Scroll

In Imperial City Prison, you fight against The Deadliest of Molag Bal’s Daedric Abominations as you attempt to destroy them before they are unleased unto Tamriel.

It also adds another Dedicated PVP Zone with the Imperial City Sewers which includes unique quests and rewards for the worthy fighter, including rewards such as highly coveted Xivkyn Motifs and Polymorphs

You also earn Tel Var Stones for activities you do in the Zone, which you can use to buy sets and lockboxes which can contain Motifs, Polymorphs and Sets.

In terms of Dungeon sets, there are three that are significant, White Gold Tower offers one of the best, if not the best healer set in the game with Spell Power Cure, as it increases your groups DPS by a substantial amount, Imperial City Prison’s Veteran Reward of Lord Warden Helm which is a great option to add defense for Tanks and their Group, and lastly Imperial City’s Powerful Assault set which is one of the best options for tanks to increase their groups DPS.

In Conclusion, with the number of useful sets, a unique dedicated PVP Zone, unique motifs and rewards for free, this is a must have for any player of course! It’s Free!

I don’t find any relevant sets from this right now, The Main Story is elaborate and enjoyable, traveling around Vvardenfell and its ruins, you will find out why the Demi-God lost their powers and find an unlikely ally in the making, you also get the chance to do quests from different towns which will reward you with ‘The Scarlet Judge’ Costume and the ‘Telvanni Magister’ Personality.

The Halls of Fabrication Trial is a Dwemer Themed Trial, where you will take on armies of machines in order to stop these from being unleased onto Vvardenfell.

There is only one relevant set from this DLC which is the Trial set from Maw of Lorkhaj which is called Roar of Alkosh, one of the best sets for a tank to increase a group’s damage output.

Rewards include the costume you get through the main quests such as the ‘Thieves Guild Leathers’ and the ‘Merchant Lord’s Regalia’ and a Personal Khajiiti Fence Assistant are worthwhile to have, for 2000 Crowns this is one of the best deals out there.

There is a highly sought out Magicka DPS Set coming from the Sunspire Trial called ‘False God’s Devotion’ a set which greatly increases your Sustain, more sustain is more damage as always.

The New Daily Quests which are Dragon Hunts are one of the best and most challenging in the game, what isn’t fun on taking down Dragons eh?

As you team up with Abnur Tharn, Cadwell and an unlikely Khajiiti Ally, they are some of the best NPCs in the game with their voice and personality.

When you progress the storyline, you will get a House as a Reward called the ‘Hall of the Lunar Champion’ this is a large Home, which can be be upgraded as you progress and complete Elsweyr Quests.

In Conclusion, with the Dragon Themed Storyline, including NPCs, one of the most enjoyable Trials with Sunspire and a dive into Khajiiti Culture, you can’t go wrong into getting Elsweyr for 3500 Crowns

There are no relevant sets from this zone, but the rewards including the Dragonguard Costume and the Dragon Imp Pet for progressing the storyline are all well designed and worth.

For 2000 Crowns, The Dragonhold DLC has one of the best conclusions to a DLC, with the boss fights and the story leading up to it, this is worthy of shedding a tear and spending your Crowns.

The story takes off when you and Eveli Sharp-Arrow stumble upon a Daedric Plot that has been around since the time of the Longhouse Emperors, Delve into the plot as you search for the mysterious “Ambitions” before Oblivion is unleased upon Tamriel.

The Sets from this DLC are some of the best available currently, the craftable Diamond’s Victory and Rockgrove’s Bahsei’s Mania provide some of the highest DPS sets for Magicka based builds and Rockgrove’s Saxhleel Champion for Tanks provide more options for Major further increasing your groups DPS.

Blackwood also introduces Companions, with two available, Bastion and Mirri, have their own equipment, skill lines, personalities, like and dislikes, providing you a companion for your adventures.

In terms of rewards, with the New Endeavors Store, you can earn currency from certain daily quests which will allow you to buy exclusive Crown Items.

The Storyline takes some twists and turns and is surely worthy of a playthrough, In Conclusion, the sets provided, Companions, and Endeavors make this one of the best chapters ESO has to offer.

The Orsinium DLC features an Entirely New Zone in the Land of the Orsimer and a New Challenging Solo Dungeon with Maelstrom Arena.

The Story starts when you receive a letter inviting adventurers to venture to rebuilding the city of Orsinium in Wrothgar, it takes you in to Orcish Culture and History, with the Orc King vying to reunite the tribes to restore the city to its former glory.

There are two relevant sets from this DLC, one is the Briarheart set which is great for Starter Stamina DPS and the other is the Arena Reward from Maelstrom Arena, the Maelstrom Crushing Wall Staves, particularly the Fire and Lightning, these are a must have for any Magicka DPS.

Some of the better rewards, include a costume for completing the collectibles for the Orsinium Museum, a Daedric Polymorph for completing Veteran Maelstrom Arena and an Orcish Costume which you will acquire during the storyline.

In Conclusion, with the number of great sets, a dive into Orcish Culture, the best side quests and storyline, My verdict would be to make sure this is one of the First DLCs you get, at 3000 Crowns, you can’t go wrong.

The story takes place when Summerset opens their borders to outsiders, you meet with Razum-dar and the Mysterious Psijic Order to investigate a series of events that threaten Summerset’s Safety, these ultimately takes you to battle against the joint forces of Daedric Princes.

Summerset also introduced Jewelry Crafting which is essential for the progress of any character in the game, these maximize your abilities in whatever role you are in.

The Psijic Order Skill Line also remains relevant to this day with Elemental Weapon and Channeled Acceleration for Magicka DPS, and access to Psijic Portals for Loot.

The Cloudrest Trial is also one of the most fast paced challenging trials requiring an entire group’s coordination to finish on the hardest of difficulties, The Sets rewarded from the Trial, primarily Siroria for Magicka DPS and Olorime for Healers are still some of the best sets in their respective Roles.

Additional Features include access to Mystic Artaeum Fishing, Pyandonean Bottles from Fishing in Summerset, and Dailies for Sapiarch Motifs.

With Summerset’s Story, Equipment, Skill lines, Beautiful Zone, Voice Acting and even side quests being praised, Summerset takes the Top Spot, even for 3500 Crowns, this is the best it can get right now.

There are a lot of video game companies out there that claim to be "the best" when it comes to what they do, but there are few companies who consistently deliver the goods. When it comes to games, I have say–without a shadow of a doubt–that Bethesda has consistently impressed me with their unique and in-depth creations.

Read on as I count down the top 10 reasons why Bethesda is really the best in the biz.

1. Intricate story lines

Elves surveying the realistic landscape of Tamriel in The Elder Scrolls.

From The Elder Scrolls to Fallout, Doom to The Evil Within, Bethesda has an array of story lines that will delight just about any gamer out there. They have a knack for creating gripping stories that pull us gamers in with their charm, intensity, and ingenuity. I can honestly say, that some of the most interesting story-focused games that I have ever played have been from Bethesda—and that is nothing to sneeze at, coming from an author.

2. Multi-platform games

Dishonored 2 is available for PC, PS4, & Xbox One

You can play Bethesda games on just about any system you get your hands on. This is not necessarily unique to most game production companies that do not produce consoles; however, Bethesda has done an especially good job of making their games available to everyone, no matter your platform preference.

3. Variety of game genres

The Evil Within is a fantastic game for horror fans.

Bethesda has something for everyone. Are you a casual gamer? Try Fallout Shelter. In the mood for an RPG? Give one of the Elder Scrolls games a go! Want something a bit more terrifying? Brave the worlds of Doom or The Evil Within! Bethesda is awesome because, no matter what type of gamer you are, they have something that you're going to absolutely dig.

4. Expansive, detailed worlds

Bethesda's massive worlds are nothing short of legendary within the gaming community. Every little detail helps us players really sink our claws into the worlds that they’ve created; and makes us feel, in some part, that we are there experiencing everything in tandem with our onscreen characters. With so many places to explore and hidden treasures to discover, you will never complain about running out of map to search in a Bethesda game.

5. Interesting (and numerous) missions and quests

There are a plethora of missions to complete in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

With massive worlds, you are guaranteed to have lots of interesting, character-building missions and side quests to undertake. I have played Skyrim all the way through twice, and going through it a third time, I am still finding new missions that I've never tried before! There is no doubt about it, the guys and gals at Bethesda are masters at creating missions and quests that will keep us gamers occupied for literally days (if not months) on end!

6. Amazing special editions

Fallout 76 special edition comes with a lifesize replica of this helmet.

As gamers, we have seen our share of lackluster, disappointing special editions from game developers (I'm looking at you, Rockstar Games). So, we know we've got something special when we not only get a lot for our money, but what we get is an awesome, high quality product. Bethesda has never failed to impress with their special editions, which always include the game—yep, still you, Rockstar. For example, the special edition of Fallout 76 comes with a wearable replica of the power armor helmet, which will go perfectly with your special edition Fallout 4 pipboy! How awesome is that?

7. Fun Easter Eggs

Fun Easter eggs found in The Evil Within 2: bobblehead from Fallout, Panzerhund from Wolfenstein, and action figure from Doom.

Bethesda is great at tying all of their worlds together with cool little nods to their past creations. For instance, in The Evil Within 2, you can find different collectables from other Bethesda games (like Corvo's mask from Dishonored, and a cute little Panzerhund from Wolfenstein) to put on display in Sebastian's room. Little touches like this remind us of how awesome Bethesda and their numerous titles truly are.

8. Dynamic characters

Bethesda memorialized a gamer's deceased brother as an NPC in Fallout 4.

Now, I know what you're going to say: "Aren't most of the characters that you control in Bethesda games silent?" Yes. Yes, they are. There are some notable exceptions, such as Fallout 4 and The Evil Within series. But I'm not talking about the characters you play, I'm talking about the characters you interact with. If the characters that made up Bethesda's vast and beautiful worlds were boring and charmless, we wouldn't adore their games as much as we do. Bethesda's NPCs breathe life into their worlds and really enhance the experience for everyone who plays their games.

9. They partner with charities

QuakeCon 2019 has been dubbed "Year of Doom" in honor of Doom celebrating 25 years in December.

Just when you thought you could not adore Bethesda any more than you already do, BAM—charitable contributions! Each year for QuakeCon, Bethesda partners with national and local charities (such as The Red Cross, 1Up on Cancer, Dallas Pets Alive, and Extra Life) to raise money for those organizations. Isn’t that awesome?

10. They listen to their fans!

Wolfenstein Cyberpilot is a VR game set to realease in 2019.

Bethesda has a great track record of giving their fans what they want. Take E3 2018, for instance. Bethesda announced a few games that we have been asking about for years (namely a new Fallout and Elder Scrolls) and continuations of things that we love (Wolfenstein, Rage, and Doom–to name a few). As a gamer, I want to feel like game developers listen to what I want; and Bethesda, in my experience, is definitely the best at delivering on their promises to gamers like me.

All in all, Bethesda is a stellar company and there are plenty more reasons why they are, in our humble opinion, the best at what they do; however, we figured you probably didn't have the time to read that novel. This mod updates grass. That’s right, grass. Before you roll your eyes, think back to how stunning Skyrim looked on your very first playthrough. 6. Apachiiskyhair

I have a personal distaste for the NPCs of Skyrim. The buildings and landscape of Skyrim are extremely detailed and beautiful, but the inhabitants look like the first attempt of someone who finally learned to mod Half-Life.

After you’ve updated the environment for your game, the NPCs will appear even more out of place. Updating the graphics for NPCs is a multi-step process, so why not start from the top: hair.

This mod introduces several hairstyles from the Sims series, the Witcher series, and Oblivion; and each one has been personally redesigned for Skyrim. The difference between vanilla Skyrim and Apachiiskyhair is night and day.

The updated models are realistic and lifelike. The vanilla models look plastic in comparison. Paired with the following mods, the NPCs will look the way they were meant to.

Next up, the windows to the soul. The eyes are a small but vital aspect of the upscaling process. Even if the rest of your NPC model looks flawless, your game will feel off with the dull eyes of the vanilla game.

This mod also provides lore-friendly options that are surprisingly absent in the base game. For example, the elves have brighter eye options that match their in-game history.

This mod also allows you to have different colored eyes on the same character, which is certainly a nice touch. Once the rest of your NPC models are updated, this mod will tie the updated look together.

4. Ruins Clutter Improved

This is a subtle mod that I highly recommend. If you decide to follow the main quest, or you want to legitimately collect all the dragon shouts, you will spend a lot of time in ruins.

If you’re reading this list, you likely understand that these ruins become very dull very quickly. The first dungeon of the game feels creepy, mysterious, and foreboding. But when the tenth dungeon you encounter looks identical to the first, the appeal starts to fade.

This mod adds a bit of variety to the background clutter of each dungeon and adds extra detail for good measure.

Unlike other entries on this list, the final result will not drastically differ from the vanilla game. But the extra detail and variation will quietly make your dungeon-delving more enjoyable.

3. Divine People

This is my recommendation for removing the general “dullness” of Skyrim’s NPCs. A close second is the Diversity mod, but I believe Divine People yields more lifelike NPCs.

With Apachiiskyhair and The Eyes of Beauty installed, the inhabitants of Skyrim will finally look the way they were meant to. The Barbie-esque skin tones of default townswomen give way to smooth, glowing skin after installation. The warriors gain a rugged, weathered look that you’d expect of battle-tested characters.

Shopkeepers and quest-givers seem more intriguing and human. This mod will breathe new life into your current playthrough.

2. Bijin

Bijin means “beautiful women,” and the name is certainly fitting for this mod. Bijin is an alternative to Divine People, and only focuses on female NPCs.

Divine People will provide a cohesive look to the NPCs of your game, while separate mods for males and females can make your game clash. That being said, installing multiple mods for NPCs will provide you with more freedom, and many players prefer different styles for male and female NPCs.

Regardless, this mod does exactly what it sets out to do, and arguably achieves even more realistic results than Divine People.

1. The Males of Skyrim

As the name suggests, this mod upscales the males of Skyrim as Bijin does for the females. Despite my earlier warning, I believe this mod plays relatively well with Bijin, and will provide your game with extremely realistic graphics.

This mod has several customization options, so you can fine-tune the NPCs to your desired look. Some of the options are adult-oriented, but you can easily create safe for work results with this mod. Also, if your boss lets you play Skyrim at work, I’ll gladly send him my resume.

Bethesda Softworks and Bethesda Game Studios are known for many memorable games that they have, respectively, published and developed for more than 20 years. Like most video game companies, some releases are great and some are disastrous. This list focuses on some of the best that they have developed over the years, including ones that they have recently released as well as one that they will release. Also, don’t expect any film-based video games.

10. Fallout: New Vegas

We are cheating a little bit here since Obsidian Entertainment developed this game. However, it was still published by Bethesda and used familiar elements from previous installments of the Fallout series such as the option of punching deathclaws to oblivion. What makes this particular title stand out from all of the other Fallout games is its flexibility. There are so many options in this game in regard to the build, mission decisions, and storyline choices. Finally, there are also memorable characters that you will meet along the way before you reach the great Battle of Hoover Dam.

Survive in a world at constant war: Fight against creatures and beings that were greatly affected by the atomic bombing!

Pick a side: Fight for the NCR, Caesar’s Legion, or neither. If you can’t pick a side yet, how about helping out the Followers while you’re at it?

The best part is that there is a high brutality potential that can be unleashed onto your enemies. There is just something so satisfying from seeing a foe get devoured by rats.

Best kind of revenge is great success—in killing: Play as Corvo to strike vengeance on those who conspired against you!

8. The Evil Within

This is a police story like no other because it is not one that you would normally see in the news. There will be danger in every corner since the world you are in is riddled with traps and eldritch abomination. Be sure to get some brain bleach once you are done playing.

6. Fallout 3

5. Fallout 4

In Fallout 3, you started out as a baby. Here, you will start out as a parent who later becomes cryogenically frozen to survive a nuclear bombing. Again, this game follows a very plot-driven story but will also allow for more room to fool around and make your own decisions in the decrepit wasteland. You will be able to finally build your own home and fly around in an advanced power suit, in addition to the usual scavenging of supplies, weapons, and bottle caps. Of course, there are also missions where you will meet unique characters and companions that can actually interact with one another.

4. Prey

In this alternate reality, John F. Kennedy survives and helps the space program thrive to incredible heights. You may have the honor of being a spaceman, but you end up getting yourself involved in a problem where angry aliens broke out of their prison. It is understandable though since no one likes being probed, trapped, and studied. However, as for you, you will need to survive and fight against these furious critters. You will have to be diligent in finding weapons in the open world and developing your skill tree before you can competently fight against them. In addition, the fact that you need certain skills to solve certain puzzles makes this game pretty hardcore.

Nope, that is not a Marvel symbiote: You’ll be fighting against strange aliens that were supposed to be studied.

Be part of the space program: You get to live as an astronaut in an alternate universe!

3. Wolfenstein: The New Order

We are glad that we are not living in a world where the Nazis won in the Second World War—a world that this game is set in; that would simply be disastrous. However, this game is not completely dark and poignant since it has a very tongue-in-cheek approach to its story. Aside from participating in the characters’ hilarious dialogue, you are expected to fight against the Nazi empire while satisfying your hunger for a wild, gun-blazing experience. Take note: not all Nazis are going to be easy to kill since they also have vicious dogs, robots, and robot dogs. Yeah, good luck!

2. Doom Eternal

With E3 2018 still fresh in our minds, we could not help but get excited about all the new games that we will be throwing our hard-earned money at in the near future. E3 had some pretty huge announcements this year, and among those were the long-awaited updates from Bethesda. In honor of an awesome game production company and their kick-ass portfolio of story driven games, we present to you the top 11 new and upcoming games from Bethesda:

1. Fallout 76

Fallout 76 Gameplay

The newest addition to Bethesda's post-apocalyptic survival series, Fallout 76, will be a prequel to all previous Fallout Games. Fallout 76 takes place 25 years after earth was ravaged by nuclear war. As a player, you are encouraged to work together with your fellow Vault 76 dwellers to rebuild a functioning society out of the ashes of nuclear fallout.

Here is what we know:

Fallout 76 will be Bethesda's most ambitious open world game to date with an expansive map that is four times the size of Fallout 4's.
Fallout 76 is the first in the Fallout series to be an online multiplayer experience. Players will have the option to play either individually or in a party with as many as 3 other players.
The game will not feature any NCPs—all characters on the map will be fellow Fallout 76 players.

In true Dishonored style, you must make a choice at the end of your journey, one which, either way, will alter the world forever.

Here's what we know:

Chose a stealthy or head on approach to overcome the obstacles in your path—the choice, as always, is yours to make.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood will be a co-op game
Players will get the choice to control one of BJ Blazkowicz's twin daughters, Jess and Soph.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood takes place 19 years after Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus in the year 1980.

5. Rage 2 – 2019

Although Rage did not receive the acclaim that Bethesda had hoped for, we are all super pumped about Rage 2. By now, we all know that Bethesda kicks ass when it comes to post-apocalyptic games, and, perhaps, after all the success that the company has seen with their Fallout series, Rage 2's timing couldn't be better. Could this sequel be the cash cow that Bethesda had hoped for with the first game? I guess we'll see in 2019!

Here's what we know:

Like the first game in the series (and like many of Bethesda's other games), Rage 2 will be an open-world first person shooter.
In the style of Mad Max (which I would say is rather appropriate given the setting), there will be vehicular combat within Rage 2.
Rage 2 is set to release on Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4—they've got most bases pretty well covered (sorry, Switch users).

You against the world: Discover new weapons and abilities to ramp up the carnage.

He's much bigger up close: Terrifying new enemies to fight along with the return of old foes.

You ain't seen nothin' yet: Explore an expansive new world and its various unique landscapes.

6. Doom Eternal – TBA

Yet another Bethesda E3 announcement that left us with more questions than answers—we haven't even got a release year for Doom Eternal! They can't just give us an awesome little snippet and leave it at that … but they did. I guess that's why it's called a "teaser" trailer.

Here's what we know:

Doom Eternal is the sequel to Bethesda's 2016 Doom reboot.
Doom Eternal will take place on Earth, though, as we can see from the trailer, the world has been overrun by the forces of hell.
If you liked the combat style in 2016's Doom reboot, you're in luck! It seems the combat in Doom Eternal will be very similar, if not the same as its 2016 predecessor.

Hope you like your earth toasty: Hell has taken over and brought the world to its knees—do you have what it takes to save the world from almost certain destruction?

7. Quake Champions - 2017

Quake Champions is a first-person multiplayer shooter and part of the Quake series (if that was not already obvious). Quake Champions is an arena-based shooter with a plethora of playable characters that each boasts unique abilities to help you be the last player standing. This is basically Bethesda's version of Super Smash Brothers, and it's awesome!

Here's what we know:

Quake Champions features Bethesda characters from other series, such as BJ Blazkowicz from Wolfenstein, and the Doom Slayer from Doom.
Free-to-play option is available along with a variety of purchasable characters.
Quake Champions is only available on PC due to console hardware limitations.

Eliminate the competition in style: Choose from a ton of powerful characters with special abilities.

8. Prey – 2017

Prey is a sci-fi survival horror game set aboard a space station called Talos I. You are Morgan Yu, and your goal is to escape Talos I using your wits, and, obviously, tons of really cool weapons (in true Bethesda style) to fend off hostile alien attacks. Developed by Arkane Studios and produced by Bethesda, Prey is meant to be the spiritual successor to System Shock.

Here's what we know:

Prey is a first-person gaming experience with RPG and stealth elements.
The Mooncrash expansion is a new game mode for Prey released in June of 2018. You play as Peter, a hacker who is in charge of running various simulations to discover what happened on the Pytheas Moonbase.
Prey takes place in an alternate timeline where the Kennedy assassination was unsuccessful, which, as a result, allowed President Kennedy the time he needed to pour more funding into NASA—thus is the basis for the plot.

You're going to need a bigger gun: Terrifying alien enemies to fight … or hide from.

Danger, Will Robinson: Explore the Talos I and uncover its secrets.

Get out alive: Will you escape or become prey?

9. Elder Scrolls VI – TBA

It's finally happening! Well … sort of. We know now that Bethesda definitely has a new Elder Scrolls in the works, but realistically, they probably won't start dedicating any real time to it until Starfield launches. We pretty much know zero about Elder Scrolls VI when it comes to plot, characters, setting, release date, etc. But, we do have renewed hope that it will be coming … eventually.

Here's what we know:

It will take place in Tamriel—that's a given. But which region(s)? No idea. While there have been unconfirmed reports that the new ES game will take place in Hammerfell or Valenwood, we haven't heard anything from the horse's mouth yet. Details from Bethesda at E3 were definitely scant.
Bethesda is obviously not very far into the production of this game if all we got was a 30 second teaser trailer and virtually no other info, so it's going to be a while before we hear about a release date—maybe 2020-ish if we're lucky?
Todd Howard, the creative brains behind Elder Scrolls, eluded to the fact that the technology for the Elder Scrolls VI that he wants to create doesn't even exist yet. So, there's that too...

A tantalizing mystery: We can't wait to hear more about this exciting new game!

10. Starfield – TBA

We were totally blown away by the stunning visuals of Bethesda's Starfield trailer. However, like their Elder Scrolls VI announcement, Bethesda left much to be desired in terms of details for their new space-themed game. It seems that even Todd Howard, who is in charge of the project, does not know what the hardware requirements for the game will be. We are super excited to learn more about this game, and we hope we receive more details about Starfield sooner rather than later.

Huston, we have a video game ... sort of: Little is known about Starfield, but we are on the edge of our seats for more info!

11. Elder Scrolls Legends - 2017

Originally released in 2017, Elder Scrolls Legends is a free-to-play digital strategy card game for mobile systems and PC. ESL is comparable to digital card games like Hearthstone. All of the cards are based on characters, creatures, and items found in the Elder Scrolls games. So if you are a fan of card games and Elder Scrolls, this could be just the game for you!

Here's what we know:

Elder Scrolls Legends is a collectable card game, not a trading card game.
There are currently two expansion sets available for the game: Heroes of Skyrim and Return to Clockwork City.
Bethesda announced at E3 2018 that Elder Scrolls Legends is planned to be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch sometime in the near future.

E3 2018: Fallout 76 Gameplay - Top 5 Key Takeaways

It's time to rebuild America

This year at E3, Bethesda Game Studios announced Fallout 76, the next game the in ever popular Fallout series. If you didn’t know, Fallout is a post-apocalyptic RPG game which takes place in what remains of the United States after a nuclear war destroyed the world. The stories will usually start in one of many “vaults”, which are underground bunkers made by the United States before the “Great War” in order to sustain life despite nuclear destruction. The last game in the series, Fallout 4, was extremely popular, received the BAFTA Award for Best Game, and was also the fourth best selling game of all time on Xbox. Fittingly, Fallout 76 was unveiled this year at the Xbox conference, and will likely be one of the most highly anticipated video games of 2018. Here are five key takeaways from the E3 presentation.

1. Completely Online

Back in 2015, many fans wanted Fallout 4 to be multiplayer. It made sense to them. But Bethesda disagreed, claiming that multiplayer would distract from the single player experience. The studio had in fact been working on some multiplayer modes for Fallout before it scrapped the idea decided to focus on single player. Bethesda explained that they had tested the game with multiplayer, and it simply didn’t work well. But just because multiplayer wasn’t implemented in the last game doesn’t mean all that work went to waste. From the remains of Fallout 4’s multiplayer rose Fallout 76, the first Fallout game playable completely online. Yeah that’s right. This means that the entire RPG can be played on a server with all your friends. You will be able to build a base, go on quests, or fight with anyone who is online. Or, as the reveal trailer says, “rebuild America” with your friends. For those who prefer solo: don’t worry, Fallout 76 will also be available offline.

2. Nukes

In addition to multiplayer, Fallout 76 will also bring nuclear weapons to Fallout for the first time. Yeah, that sounds scary, especially because the game is online. But you shouldn’t have to worry too much. Finding and using nukes will be extremely hard, as a launch code will be required first. The launch codes will be found in pieces and each piece will only be found by killing multiple monsters and players. We can make a safe bet that getting a complete code will take quite a while. Using nukes will be dangerous and could get you killed, but will reap great benefits. Players can obliterate their enemy’s bases, as well as find precious and rare loot in the blast zone left by the nuke. This should make for some interesting gameplay videos.

3. A Prequel to the Series

Fallout 76 will be set before all other Fallout games, making it a prequel to the whole series. Fallout 76 takes place in Vault 76, a “control” vault, which was designed to be the first vault to open up after the Great War which tore the world apart. 25 years after the last nuke dropped, Vault 76 will finally open. For the first time in any Fallout game, players will be able to know what happened in the aftermath of the Great War. The story will probably let players meet characters who survived the Great War, either inside a vault or out.

4. Massive Open World

Fallout 76 will have a massive map that is four times the size of Fallout 4’s map, located in West Virginia. This means that players should have enough space to get around without bumping into each other and triggering wars. West Virginia was never nuked in Fallout’s timeline, so the map won’t have pre-existing bomb sites, but the region’s remaining infrastructure will show heavy deterioration. Over all, it’ll look scary and abandoned.

5. Complex Home Base System

Along with a massive map, Bethesda will let players be mobile in Fallout 76. This means that players can build bases, take them apart, and rebuild them elsewhere. This revamped build system promises to be fun and easy to use. Best of all, once you log off the game, bases you have spent hours building with your friends become invisible on the server, so you don’t have to be worried about losing your stuff overnight.
