Much of Splatoon 3 centers around multiplayer battling in Turf Wars, where two teams equipped with ink-blasting weapons fight to paint the surface of a map with their team’s color of ink.

10. Splatana Wiper

One of Splatoon 3's brand-new weapons.

The Splatana Wiper is a Splatana class weapon that presents an interesting mix of combat and turf inking capabilities. As its name conveys, it functions like a sword and its slashes can fling ink pretty far from your position. You can charge your attacks to increase their strength and a single charged slash in close quarters lets you lunge forward and send out a vertical shot of ink that instantly splats an enemy.

Uncharged slashes deal a lot less damage but they’re fast to perform and their range makes it possible to cause damage from a distance. Regular slashes can also be used to ink turf pretty decently if you face one direction while moving left or right horizontally and repeatedly slash the air.

The Splatana Wiper’s weapon loadout features the Torpedo as a sub weapon, an explosive that slowly hones in on enemies from the air and can be paired with long-distance slashes to deal with foes more efficiently. You also get access to the Ultra Stamp special weapon that puts you in charge of a cartoonishly massive hammer that rapidly whacks the ground and anyone in your way. This special makes you particularly dangerous–even if enemies are out of your path you can fling away the Ultra Stamp in their direction.

On top of that, if you perform a vertical slash while tilting L a bit forward, you'll step forward with the attack, adding enough power to flatten most foes. Paired with the Torpedo sub, you can slash across the battlefield and level your enemies with a single stroke. It's almost too good! And I haven't even mentioned the Ultra Stamp special yet. 9. Inkbrush

The biggest paintbrush you'll ever see

The Inkbrush is a brush class weapon that splashes ink around your vicinity when you swing it. It has low range and damage but offers fast movement by way of the ability to push it along the ground, leaving a thin trail of ink behind you. The Inkbrush also works well for covering turf if you quickly swim around and pop out repeatedly to fling ink.

You can take advantage of the Inkbrush’s speed to quickly get away from encroaching opponents, and if you’re feeling particularly daring, you can use your Inkbrush to zip into the enemy side of a map, splatter some ink, and make a quick retreat. And despite the Inkbrush’s low damage, it can still be effective at defending yourself in close-range combat. Plus, its splatter can reach enemies positioned below you vertically.

You can up your offensive capabilities by tossing out Splat Bombs, the sub weapon of the Inkbrush that explodes moments after being tossed out and splats foes who are too close to them. You also have access to the Killer Wail 5.1 special weapon, which unleashes hazardous beams that edge toward enemies and force them to move out of their way. This special can sometimes be quite effective at disrupting opponents and their movement.

8. E-liter 4K

Time to camp!

The E-liter 4K is a charger class weapon that functions like a sniper rifle and is meant for providing offense. It offers incredible range that happens to be the highest of all other chargers in the game with the exception of the E-liter’s scoped variant. This range does come at the expense of mobility and speed, however, as you’re pretty much limited to standing in place to aim (this also means it’s not meant for turf inking).

Shots from an E-liter 4K can instantly splat distant enemies, which presents quite a danger to the enemy team. It slowly charges ink and for a brief period of time, you can hold a fully charged shot while swimming in squid form. The effectiveness of this weapon is dependent on maps having unobstructed views and elevated areas or platforms you can aim from.

Focusing on aiming can leave you vulnerable but the E-liter’s Ink Mine sub weapon can thankfully prevent enemies from sneaking up if you hide explosive mines in the ink around you. Furthermore, the Wave Breaker special weapon usefully pairs with the E-liter’s range because the expanding rings it emanates not only weaken opponents who touch them but trigger a tracking effect, making their location visible to you.

What the E-liter 4K Excels In:

Range: with extremely high range, few are safe from your sight
Offense: this weapon is based around splatting enemies and can dominate a battle if you’ve got good aim
Loadout: Ink Mines can be used for defense and the Wave Breaker is particularly useful because of its tracking ability

7. Hydra Splatling

The Hydra Splatling belongs to the splatling class of heavy-duty minigun-style weapons. While it takes more time to charge than any other splatling, the wait pays off when it evaporates enemies caught in its path. Its rapid shots are really that quick!

The Hydra Splatling also has the highest range out of all other Splatlings and can quickly shred foes both close by and far away while spraying turf in the process. It’s quite a heavy weapon, however, so you won’t be able to move much when equipped with it. With that and its slow charge time in mind, it’s a good idea to keep your distance from the fray, perhaps by seeking higher ground to aim from.

The Autobomb sub weapon of the Hydra Splatling helps detect the location of enemies for you by moving in the direction of any target close to it and then exploding after a couple of seconds. And the powerful Booyah Bomb special weapon lets you unleash a bomb that gradually grows into a large vortex of ink and splats any unsuspecting enemies caught within. It can also be a means of forcing enemies out of an area.

6. Flingza Roller

The formidable Flingza Roller is a middleweight roller class weapon. It’s a big paint roller that you roll along the ground and it lets you spread a lot of ink while still moving about at a decent clip. It’s also got some pretty nice offense.

The Flingza Roller’s vertical attack can fling paint across a long distance with a superb range that’s among the highest of the rollers. Generally, rollers are a bit slow with attacks, but the strength of the Flingza’s flings is quite high and helps to make up for it. One well-aimed fling is all it takes to splat an opponent.

The standout feature of the Flingza Roller, however, is arguably its Tenta Missiles special weapon. Tenta Missiles function as an airstrike against the enemy team; you can launch missiles that will automatically target enemies and force them to dodge incoming missiles or be splatted. This devastating attack can take opponents out from afar and disrupt their efforts at splatting the stage.

What the Flingza Roller Excels In:

Loadout: the Tentamissles special weapon is one of the most effective specials and can splat enemies from afar

5. Splattershot

Small but mighty!

Sometimes basic isn’t bad…the Splattershot is a shooter weapon available early in the game and it’s kinda like a stronger variant of the Splattershot Jr., the first weapon you start off with. It’s a well-rounded device that pretty evenly balances range, damage, and fire rate, making it a good introductory weapon for new players. But even as you unlock more weapons, the Splattershot still holds up as an effective tool in Turf Wars, especially considering that it comes with the devastating Trizooka special weapon.

The Splattershot’s average range makes it best suited for splatting enemies in front of you. Its shots also deal a decent amount of damage as you can opponents in three hits. Its quick fire rate helps to both efficiently coat turf and splat foes.

The Suction Bomb sub weapon that comes with the Splattershot takes a few seconds to detonate but it’s powerful enough to splat enemies who fail to get out of its radius. Your Trizooka special weapon particularly stands out, however, by letting you equip a bazooka that boosts your range and blasts enemies from afar.

4. Dualie Squelchers

Get ready for some gun-slinging action with these

A member of the dualie class of weapons, Dualie Squelchers are dually wielded pistols that combine dualie style shooting with the long range of the entirely separate Jet Squelcher weapon. These particular dualies are thus noteworthy for blending distance with mobility–while other high-range weapons like miniguns and sniper rifle-esque chargers limit your movement, your dualies give you the ability to perform rolls to get around quickly and evade enemies.

This weapon’s accuracy increases after performing a roll and you can roll twice in a row before a very brief cooldown occurs. And with a range that’s among the highest of all non-sniper weapons, it’s effective at reaching opponents some distance from you. Damage is on the low side, though, with it taking four hits to splat opponents, so it’s wise to use your rolling ability to retreat from close-range fights you don’t want to stay in for too long.

The Dualie Squelchers’ loadout features powerful Splat Bombs as a sub weapon and the Wave Breaker as a special weapon. You can take advantage of the Wave Breaker’s tracking ability to seek out foes and take them out from afar.

What Dualie Squelchers Excel In:

Range: high range means you can hit opponents from afar

3. .52 Gal

A great weapon in a great shade of pink

The .52 Gal is a middleweight shooter class weapon that stands out for its offensive capabilities. With powerful shots and an acceptable rate of fire, it works great for taking down opponents, and it can also adequately cover your path in ink without much effort. In my opinion, it’s a great weapon for offense that’s easy to pick up and therefore a good choice to go with no matter your skill level.

The .52 Gal requires some concentration to aim because of its tendency to have shots deviate, but it’s powerful enough to eliminate an opponent with only 2 hits. You’re able to dominate a crowded area of battle if you take advantage of gyroscopic aiming for quick swiveling. Shots also help with turf inking by leaving well-sized blotches of ink upon hitting the ground.

For defense as you shoot, you can use your Ink Wall sub weapon to create a barrier that prevents opponents from hitting you (which you can also fire through). Rack up enough special points to unleash the Killer Wail 5.1 special weapon that will get enemies moving out of their hiding spots and potentially into your path of destruction.

What the .52 Gal Excels In:

Offense: it only takes 2 hits to splat opponents
Turf War Effectiveness: offensive capabilities are balanced with decent turf inking ability
Range: it offers pretty good range that enables you to splat enemies both close by or further away

.52 Gal details:

Sheldon’s description - “The .52 Gal is a heavy hitter with an extra-large nozzle for shooting massive amounts of ink. Of course, all that power comes at the expense of fire rate... which is why you'll want the Splash Wall to hide behind while reloading. And if the other team is playing it a little too safe, you've always got the Killer Wail 5.1. Lock on and blast 'em with lasers! So if you're the type to hang back and wait for just the right moment, this loadout is for you.”

2. Sloshing Machine

The Sloshing Machine is a slosher class weapon that launches powerful volleys of ink. The range at which you can dish out ink allows for far-reaching splattering and a single direct hit can wipe out a foe instantly.

Uniquely, this machine of a weapon can also deal splash damage by way of the airborne ink trailing its shots. So even if you don’t land a shot you can still wear down a target (or multiple). Ink is also flung high enough to land on enemies seeking cover.

If the Sloshing Machine’s power isn’t enough for you, its loadout equips you with the Booyah Bomb special weapon that can further devastate the enemy team. You also get to wield the Fizzy Bomb sub weapon, the erratic movement of which can mess with where opponents can go lest they take damage. Both of these weapons paired with the Sloshing Machine make it quite the disruptive, damage-heavy force to go up against.

What The Sloshing Machine Excels In:

Damage: very high damage rate with a single direct hit splatting an opponent
Range: ink is launched quite far and can reach enemies behind cover

1. Splash-o-matic

The Splash-o-matic is a middleweight shooter class weapon that succeeds at striking a balance between offense and fast turf coverage. It also boasts great accuracy, making it stand out as one of the best weapon options to go with. This gun rapidly sprays out ink and efficiently covers large portions of turf as you move.

The damage output is a little on the lower end of the spectrum but the high fire rate means you can still speedily splat enemies. Another aspect that helps is the Splash-o-matic’s high accuracy, which ensures that you consistently fire wherever you aim, even while jumping.

The Splash-o-matic’s burst bomb sub weapon is a great asset in fights as they explode immediately on impact and can quickly weaken or finish off opponents who’ve already taken a few hits. Burst bombs also spatter a large circle of ink when they land on the ground, slowing down opponents close to you or simply covering turf. They also don’t take up much ink to use, meaning you can toss a couple out in quick succession.

The Crab Tank special weapon gives you an opportunity to powerfully fire ink from a distance as you pilot a large, crab-shaped contraption. It can switch to a second firing mode that shoots large blobs of ink. The Crab Tank’s movement is quite slow but once you get a feel for its mechanics, you can truly dominate in both short and long-range combat.

What the Splash-o-matic Excels In:

Coverage: rapid firing covers the turf surrounding you in moments (and charges your special points quickly)
Accuracy: ink lands where you aim it and accuracy isn’t compromised by jumping

Splash-o-matic details:

Sheldon’s description - “For your main weapon, I present the Splash-o-matic, a weapon fine-tuned for highly accurate barrages! It may not have the ink spread or raw power of some weapons, but it more than makes up for it with rapid fire that is quite rapid indeed. Plus, when you can pin down an enemy with Burst Bombs, you don't need as much power. Simply splatter them at your leisure while they're mired in your ink. 20. Starfang

Starfang stats:

Damage: 11.90
3.40% Critical chance
4.20 Armor Penetration
+3 Dexterity

+2.5 armor penetration

Starfang is a unique longsword/greatsword that comes with the Warden's Keep DLC. It's made of star metal, a meteorite metal ore that fell from the heavens. It's crafted by Mikhael Dryden, the blacksmith in Soldier's Peek.

Choosing the longsword will be better for a tank (champion, templar, or any shielded tank). On the other hand, if you choose the greatsword it'll work better on a pure DPS warrior (berserker or reaver).

It's a great weapon in early game, but later any maul will be better than Starfang. Veshialle, Keening Blade, and Maric Blade are also better than Starfang.

What Starfang Excels In:

It works very well with tank enemies, given the amount of armor penetration and crit damage.
It's amazing in early game. It's one of the strongest weapons if used as a DPS blade.
The amount of damage it does is quite wonderful. It will work against any kind of enemy as long as they don't have physical resistance.

How To Get Starfang: It's obtained during "The Crater" encounter in Soldier's Peak after completing the homonymous quest. Once you have the meteorite ore, you will speak with Mikhael, the blacksmith. He will forge a weapon with this material for you. You can choose between a longsword or a greatsword.

19. Ageless Greatsword

Ageless Stats:

Damage: 16.50
2.25% Critical chance
5.25 armor penetration
Weakens nearby darkspawn.
Increases hostility and intimidation
+0.25 stamina regeneration in combat.
+4 damage vs darkspawn

Ageless is a greatsword given as a reward for solving a puzzle in the Orzammar Palace. It's a very old and unique sword. The story says it gets better with each owner who raises it in triumph.

It's great at that point in Orzammar because some quests will send you to the deep roads where Ageless is magnificent. Be careful not to give it to a weak member of the party since it increases hostility, meaning enemies will focus on the one holding Ageless.

What Ageless Excels in:

It's the perfect sword to carry to the deep roads or the quest where you'll be facing darkspawn. It weakens them and you get plus damage against darkspawn.
It will work beautifully in a Berserker/Reaver/Champion warrior. The one that uses Ageless has to have sustain, otherwise, it will be easily killed.
Perfect for doing the quest A Paragon of Her Kind. It's a very fun challenge because it will be very hard but effective.
It's one of the few weapons with the stat "messy kills" which means that the sword increases the chance of doing a finishing move on an enemy.

How to Get Ageless Sword: You get it after completing a puzzle in the Orzammar Palace. Once you complete the puzzle, a dragon will be summoned. You have to slay the dragon to get the sword from the loot. This quest can only be unlocked before the next king is chosen, meaning you have a chance before doing the quest A Paragon of Her Kind. It's supposed to be a hidden puzzle located in the Throne Room.

18. Spellweaver

Spellweaver stats:

Damage: 10.50

3.50 armor penetration
+5 magic
+1 /+2 mana regeneration in combat
+10% spell resistance
+3 electricity damage

The Spellweaver is an ancient elven-forged longsword. It was created with forgotten techniques that combined lyrium and other metals that gave a certain magic power to the sword. This is why it works as a staff for a mage, channeling the mage's power.

It's a great weapon, unique in its kind. There's no other sword with the same capability of working as a staff. It's the only specific item for the Arcane Warrior. Despite this, casting some spells will require the blade to be sheathed.

What Spellweaver Excels in:

It's the best sword for an Arcane Warrior. No other will do a better job since this is designed for those mages specifically.
Works very nicely against magical enemies. Mages, demons, shadows, or any other magic source will be easy to deal with for the Spellweaver.
It's great in both melee and ranged combats since you can cast spells and auto-attack (melee) with it.

How to Get the Spellweaver: It's found during the quest of The Urn of Sacred Ashes in the Village of Haven at the Frostback Mountains. Spellweaver is the loot obtained from the cultist overseer.

17. Fang Dagger

Fang Dagger Stats: the stats are different in the PC or Console version of the game. Since the console version is the strongest, I will add those stats. A mod will allow you to change the stats for the console version if you're playing on PC.

Known as the "Fang of Fen'Harel", this dagger is part of the legacy of the Tabris family. It's an inherited gift that was passed to Adaia and then to the city elf warden.

It's a great dagger at the beginning of the game, it's the best dagger you can use and it's free. The stats are perfect for a rogue.

What Fang Excels in:

It makes a duelist/assassin power up noticeably because of the crit and backstabs stats.
It also works very well as a second blade for a two-handed warrior. But it is still better for a rogue.
It's the best dagger you'll find in the early game due to the high stats and the fact that you get it at the beginning if you're playing the city elf origin.
It will be most effective in killing because that's what rogues do best. If combined, it's quite explosive.

How to Get Fang: It is unlocked once you entered the alienage, after completing the Unrest in the Alienage quest. Cyrion will give it to the warden if you save him from the Tevinter's slavers. Do not take the bribe from Vaughan if you want this weapon, Cyrion will deny it to you if you do so.

16. The Rose's Thorn

The Rose's Thorn Stats:

6.40 damage
4.80% critical chance
8 armor penetration
+2 dexterity
+1/+2 health regeneration in combat
+3 damage
+5% melee critical chance
+30% critical/backstab damage

This is a dagger made of dragonbone that belonged to the so-called "Black Rose" assassin. The dagger was found in a King's heart after he stab him with it. It also has 3 runes spaces for you to add even more stats.

It's literally the best dagger for a rogue, no doubt. The stats are the highest and it's tier 7 so you will love it if you're playing a rogue.

What The Rose's Thorn Excels in:

Perfect for an assassin rogue due to the crit and backstab stats. This dagger has the highest critical backstab damage.
It gives a little regeneration in combat which makes it great in long, slow battles.
It works great as the first weapon for a rogue and it can also work very well as the second weapon for a two-handed warrior. I always liked to use this one in my warrior because it added a huge amount of critical damage plus the regen.

How to Get The Rose's Thorn: It's sold by Garin in the Orzammar Commons for 148 gold, 32 silver and 50 bronze coins.

15. The Veshialle

The Veshialle Stats:

9.60 damage
1.60% critical chance
4 armor penetration
+2 strength
+5% melee critical chance
+1/+2 stamina regeneration in combat
+10% critical/backstab damage
+2 nature damage

A unique war axe made of dragonbone that belonged to the dalish elves. His owner was general Rajmael who fought the exalted marches with this axe.

It's a very fun weapon to use in both a rogue and a two-handed warrior. It fulfills both roles very well.

What The Veshialle Excels in:

It's great against weak enemies because of the crit and nature damage.
If you're using a duelist/assassin rogue this is a good option since axes do much more damage than any other dagger and this one has the essential crit and backstab damage needed to use it in a rogue.
The Veshialle is great for a two-handed warrior. It's one of the most powerful axes in the game.

How to Get The Veshialle: it's sold by Bodahn Feddic at the Party Camp for 131 gold and 55 silver coins.

14. Yusaris

Yusaris Stats:

16.50 Damage
2.25% critical change
5.25 armor penetration
+20% fire resistance
+10 damage against dragons.

Yusaris is a greatsword made of Silverite. It's a legendary old weapon with two inscriptions on the sides. One says "you are the mirror" and the other "reflect". Quite poetic don't you think? Yusaris has its own legend where is said that it belonged to Dane, the Alamarri Hero who defeated Fenshal and the werewolf. Then passed it on to his son Hafter who led the Alamarri tribes against the darkspawn.

This weapon is one of my personal favorites because of the legend behind it. Also, I always struggle against fire magic and this weapon grants one of the biggest stats of fire resistance of all weapons.

What Yusaris Excels in:

Perfect in mid-game for a DPS or tank warrior. Since the stats are about resistance and damage it might work better with a Berserker/Reaver but for a Templar is also a great choice.
Yusaris is a must-have when you're facing any dragon-related quest. If you're planning on going to get the Urn of Sacred Ashes, you'll want to carry Yusaris with you.
Is quite effective in dealing with rage demons which are probably the most annoying and powerful type of demon in the game. Thanks to the fire resistance stat, this weapon is a wonder.

How to Get Yusaris: It's found at the end of the Watchguard of the Reaching quest at the circle tower. The rage demon Shah Wyrd will have it, you have to defeat the demon and take the Yusaris from the loot.

13. The Summer Sword

The Summer Sword Stats:

16.50 damage
2.25% critical chance
5.25 armor penetration
+20 physical resistance
Chance to knock back

This is a greatsword made of Silverite by an Orleasian elf. It is said that he was the greatest smith in the history of the Orlesian Empire. A curious detail in the story of the sword is that the smith named it Summer Sword because he crafted it in the "winter of his lifetime".

The Summer Sword is the biggest sword ever known in Dragon Age. It is said that is as long as a man's tall. It's perfectly balanced in power and ability.

What The Summer Sword Excels in:

It's perfect for facing enemies with a lot of physical damage and stuns due to the physical resistance.
The chance to knock back is the most important attribute of the sword. It can be a very strong ability in battle.
Great weapon for a tank warrior. It fits very well on a Templar/Champion warden. Auto attacks are quite slow so the damage is not as relevant as the resistance stats.

How to Get The Summer Sword: You can get it during the Rescue the Queen quest as part of the loot from Ser Cauthrien. If you don't fight Ser Cauthrien in that quest and instead you choose to surrender, later in the Landsmeet you'll have another chance in the entrance hall of the Landsmeet Chamber.

12. Maric’s Blade

Maric Blade Stats:

9.80/11.20 damage
2.80%/3.20% critical chance
3.20/4 armor penetration
+0.75/1.5 health regeneration in combat
Weakens nearby darkspawn
+0.75/1.5 stamina regeneration in combat
+6 damage vs. darkspawn

This one is a unique longsword crafted by dwarven smiths included in the Return to Ostagar DLC and it's part of the Caialn's Arms set. It belonged to King Maric, Cailan's father. He found it on the deep roads and had the intention to return it to the dwarves but King Endrin Aeducan gave it to Maric as a gift. In time the sword was passed to Cailan who left the blade in a chest while leading the troops at the Battle of Ostagar.

I think the design of this blade is the most beautiful. It has glowing runes on it and it can be upgraded by selling it to a merchant and then buying it back. You can use it whenever you want since it has no strength requirements, which makes it most useful.

What the Maric Blade Excels in:

It’s a must if you’re using the Cailan set because it grants bonuses for using the complete set.
Very powerful against darkspawn given the +6 damage vs darkspawn stat.
Valuable for a Berserker/Reaver because of the health and stamina regen. It works very well with any kind of warrior, but it has a great synergy with the mentioned ones.

How to Get Maric Blade: It is found in the Cailan’s chest at the camp where he had his tent in Ostagar.

11. Staff of the Magister Lord

Staff of the Magister Lord Stats:

6.40 Cold Damage
40 armor penetration
+6 willpower
+2/+4 mana regeneration in combat
+6 spell power
+10% spirit damage
+10% fire damage

The staff belonged to the infamous Tlaxious, a Tevinter magister and one of the last to invade Ferelden during the times when the Tevinter Empire was feared.

It's the best staff you can give to your mage, it's the most powerful one and works very well against any kind of enemy that doesn't have spirit or fire resistance.

What the Staff of the Magister Lord Excels in:

It's great for any kind of battle. The mana regen allows your mage to spam abilities so the hardest battles will not be enough for this weapon.
The spirit damage is a weird type of damage in the game, as well as its correspondent resistance. I always preferred spirit damage weapons because of that.
The combination of spirit and fire damage will make your enemies melt.

How to Get the Staff of the Magister Lord: It's sold by the Quartermaster at the Circle Tower for 128 gold and 88 silver coin.

10. Winter's Breath

Winter's Breath Stats:

6.40 cold damage
40 armor penetration
+25% cold resistance
+15% cold damage
Radiates cold

This one is part of the Warden's Keep DLC. It's made of dragonbone and fueled by ice. There's a similar staff called Wintersbreath but this one is the most powerful. Cold radiation is rather an esthetical attribute and does nothing spectacular.

It's the best staff to replace the Staff of the Magister Lord when the last one can't be used.

What Winter's Breath Excels in:

It's perfect for dealing with rage demons since the cold ice counters fire and weakens them.
If you decided to max the ice abilities on your mage, you'd prefer this staff over the one mentioned before. Winter's breath will power up your ice mage.
Great staff to carry as a second option for a general mage.

How to Get Winter's Breath: it's part of the Warden's Keep DLC. You will find it as the loot of a rage demon at the Soldier's Peek.

9. Malign Staff

Malign Stats:

5.20 Physical Damage
29 armor penetration
+1/+2 mana regeneration in combat
+5 spell power
-1 willpower
+10% spirit damage
+10% electricity damage

This staff is made of Veridium and for being a tier 4 staff, is quite powerful. The story behind it says that it's corrupted by the blight and all mages can sense this.

It's a great staff in the early game, use it if you're willing to exchange the -1 willpower for all the other stats. Willpower is not as relevant as it seems so I recommend you try it.

What Malign Staff Excels in:

The best staff you get in the early game. It has the best stats at that point. You might want to use it until you find the Sylvain staff.
It's the only powerful staff that has electricity damage, use it wisely.
It's the only powerful staff that deals physical damage. This makes it great to face magical enemies since they usually have magic resistance.

How to Get the Malign Staff: It can be found during the Battle of Denerim at the Denerim Alienage. One of the Hurlock will loot it.

8. Sylvan's Mercy

Sylvan's Mercy Stats:

5.20 Nature damage
29 armor penetration
+5% nature resistance
+1 spell power
+10% nature damage

This is a tier 4 Veridium staff. Its name speaks for itself, it's part of a Sylvan tree. This is why it looks like a branch.

It's the greatest staff with nature damage. There is no other better than this one.

What Sylvain's Mercy Excels in:

As a tier 4 staff, it works better in the early game. But it will lose power later on.
If you're playing awakening this staff makes a great combination with the Keeper specialization because of the nature damage.
It works very nicely against mabaris and wolfs that are so annoying.

How to Get Sylvan's Mercy: It's sold by Bodahn Feddic at the Party Camp for 8 gold, 92 silver, and 50 bronze coins.

7. Corrupted Magister's Staff

Corrupted Magister's Staff Stats:

5.60 Physical damage
32 armor penetration
+5 spell power
+15% spirit damage
5% chance of paralysis

This one is included in the Return to Ostagar DLC. It's a tier 5 staff made of red steel. It has one of the most pretty designs from all staff in the game.

The greatest attribute is the chance of paralysis which makes it a very strong weapon for any mage.

What the Corrupted Magister's Staff Excels in:

I love to use this one for a mage focusing on primal and entropy magic. It makes a beautiful synergy with the paralysis effect.
It has the highest percentage of spirit damage of all staffs, which makes it perfect when facing enemies that are weak against this kind of magic.
It works very well with a blood mage. Making it even more powerful than it already is with the natural stats.

How to Get the Corrupted Magister's Staff: It's part of the Return to Ostagar DLC. You will need to have the Key to Mages Chest which can be obtained during The Hungry Deserter quest, do not open the chest until you get to the DLC quest. If you use it before the return to Ostagar, the Staff will not show up. If you didn't get the key during the mentioned quest, you can still get it during the Return to Ostagar. It will be located in the cage where the prisoner was.

6. Dwarven Defender

Dwarven Defender Stats:

12 damage
3% critical chance
10 armor penetration
+3 dexterity
+6 damage against darkspawn

This is a tier 6 crossbow made of Sylvanwood. The story behind this weapon is fascinating. It is said that the Dwarven Defender was wielded by a Grey Warden named Koral Bemot who defended the gates of Orzammar from the darkspawn all alone. He used this crossbow as his only weapon.

It's the greatest crossbow you can use if you're playing a ranged rogue. I'm not a big fan of crossbows but this one is the exception.

What the Dwarven Defender Excels in:

The best weapon when facing darkspawn. If combined with the Sureshot bolt the darkspawn will have no chance against it.
It's a key weapon in all quests related to darkspawn. Its potential is shown at the Denerim darkspawn invasion as well as in the deep roads in Orzammar and the invasion in Red Cliff.
It does a great job if used on a ranged rogue. It can be good for other classes but it's better for a rogue due to the combination of skills that make the crossbow more effective.

5. Far Song

Far Song Stats:

9.60 damage
1.60% critical chance
8.80 armor penetration
+2 damage
Rapid Aim
+3% ranged critical chance
+10 attack
+10% critical/backstab damage

This is a dragonthorn-made tier 7 longbow. Probably the most expensive longbow in the game. You have to give away the life of an innocent smith in exchange for the longbow, you decide if it's worth it.

It's one of the strongest longbows since it stacks a lot of critical damage. The highest in the game.

What the Far Song Excels in:

It's amazing for any kind of rogue but of course, it works better in a ranged one due to the ranged critical attack.
The Rapid Aim will stack with the rogue's abilities and it will be really rapid. It's even funny to look at how fast it shoots.

How to Get Far Song: it is sold by the new Redcliffe's blacksmith. Meaning you will have to kill Owen or make him kill himself by failing the Lost in the Castle quest.

4. The Sorrows of Arlathan

The Sorrows of Arlathan Stats:

9.60 damage
1.60% critical change
8.80 armor penetration
+3 damage
Rapid aim
+6% ranged critical chance
+3 armor penetration

This is a tier 7 longbow made of dragonthorn. It's included in the Witch Hunt DLC and it's believed to be crafted by an elve.

Given the range of the weapon, is one of the most powerful longbows in the game. Also, the rapid aim is the highest of all longbows in the game, which means you will be shooting extremely fast.

What the Sorrows of Arlathan Excels in:

Good against high-difficulty enemies since it has the primordial stats at its max.
The one that uses this longbow will be very hard to catch if positioned correctly because of the high range it has.
Great against hard tanky enemies.

How to Get The Sorrows of Arlathan: you will need the Witch Hunt DLC. It's obtained by unlocking the "through the looking glass" achievement.

3. Marjolaine's Recurve Longbow

Marjolaine's Recurve Stats:

9.60 damage
1.60% critical chance
8.80 armor penetration
+3 cunning
+3 damage
Rapid Aim

This one is a tier 7 dragonthorn-made longbow. It's unique and it belongs to Leliana, sadly nobody else can use it. The stats are closer to the Sorrows of Arlathan longbow which is great because that way you can give this one to Leliana and the other to your warden.

What Marjolaine's Recurve bow Excels in:

It's the most powerful longbow you can give to Leliana. If you do so, she will be very useful in battling dragons.
Along with Far Song and Sorrows of Arlathan, this bow is very strong. If you carry a threesome of archers using these three weapons and a tank, your team will be unbeatable. It will melt the enemies in seconds and is one of the funniest compositions to play.

How to Get Marjolaine's Recurve: it's found during Leliana's personal quest. It's in a chest in the house where you meet Marjolaine, if not then it will appear as part of the loot after defeating her.

2. Chasind Great Maul

Chasind Great Maul Stats:

12.80/14.40 damage
0.80% critical chance
14 armor penetration
+5 damage
+2.5 armor penetration
+0.5/+1 stamina regeneration in combat
+75 stamina

A beautiful dragonbone-made tier 7 maul. It's one of the most valuable weapons in the game too. If you sell it you will be paid 137 gold for it. The legend says that only the mightiest can wield it. Reason why I believe it's a great weapon for a Berserker. I always use this one for Oghren, I just love how the concept suits so very well with the Berserker warrior.

What the Chasind Great Maul Excels in:

It’s the best maul for a one-handed warrior, even stronger than most greatswords. The stats are the highest among all mauls in the game as well as the scaling.
The stats make this maul a perfectly balanced weapon. It has everything that a good warrior needs. Give it to your Berserker/Reaver and watch it crush everything in his path.
The stamina regen is perhaps the best stat because it helps your warrior to catch up faster in the battlefield.

How to Get the Chasind Maul: it's sold by Gorim at the Denerim Market.

1. Nug Crusher

Nug Crusher Stats:

12.60/14.40 damage
0.70%/0.80% critical chance
11.20/14 armor penetration
+4 dexterity
+100 stamina
Chance to stun

The Nug Crusher is included in the Return to Ostagar DLC. It will be a tier 5 maul once you get it but the great thing about it is that you can upgrade it to tier 7 by selling it to Mikhael at Soldier's Peek. This makes Nug Crusher very close to the Chasind maul's greatness. It's visually a very beautiful wood-made maul.

What the Nug Crusher Excels in:

It's perfect for a one-handed warrior. If your warden is using the Chasind maul, Nug Crusher is a great option for Oghren.
The +100 stamina stat is very useful to avoid exhaustion.

How to Get the Nug Crusher: it's part of the Return to Ostagar DLC. It's found on a weapon stand in the Tower of Ishal at the end of the room that leads to the darkspawn tunnels.

Stardew Valley Best Hammers (And How To Get Them)

You’ve already lost enough gold and materials by dying over and over again in the mines and dungeons. It’s time to find the right weapon that will get you through your enemies and on to all of the treasures that Stardew Valley has to offer.

Let’s get started:

5) The Slammer

“An extremely heavy gavel that’ll send foes flying.” The description is apt and you’ll be feeling even more powerful if you can manage to get this weapon before finishing your goal of completing The Mines in Pelican Town.

The Slammer is number five on our list due to the fact that most hammers you can obtain before it are missing The Slammer’s formidable stopping power. This is the only hammer on the list that can be gained before exiting the mines and can aid you in Skull Caverns (without the exorbitant cost of a Lava Katana).

This weapon is a bit on the slower side, so consider using your weapon ability often, producing a powerful Area of Effect slam, to hinder your foes and create the distance needed to avoid enemies. Stardew Valley’s combat system lies in its simplicity. For a slower, but more powerful weapon like The Slammer, try kiting your enemies to get in a few good hits, and don’t forget to slam The Slammer when you start getting grouped up on.

How to get The Slammer: The Slammer can be found as a random drop in crates or boxes and even special monster drops in The Mines (Floors 81-99). It can also be found the same way much later in the game in Skull Cavern (Floors 40+). If you choose the Remixed Mine Rewards in the advanced options at the beginning of the game, you have a chance to find The Slammer in the chest on Floor 110 of The Mines.

4) Galaxy Hammer

“It's made from an ultra-light material you’ve seen before.” If you have the opportunity to purchase this sword, you’ve definitely seen this material before (looking at you, Galaxy Sword).

The Galaxy Hammer is a bangin’ hammer choice and can carry you to the endgame of Stardew Valley’s combat with a bit of effort. In its initial form, however, it ranks number four on our list.

The Galaxy Hammer has more speed than The Slammer, so you won't be kiting your enemies quite as often and – in fact – your knockback with this hammer should keep your foes more than arm's distance from you. Continue using your Weapon Ability and slam away at larger groups of mobs to really put those slippery slimes and unrelenting mummies in their place. The Galaxy Hammer can keep up with the weapon speed of Sword Weapons while putting out big boy damage numbers.

Considered a Level 12 Weapon

How to get the Galaxy Hammer: The Galaxy Hammer is technically an easier weapon to gain later on, if only for the fact that you don’t need to rely solely on drop rates. After you’ve obtained the Galaxy Sword (by taking your first prismatic shard to the spot between the three pillars in the desert), your old pal Marlin at the Adventurer’s Guild will be selling this hot new item for a whopping 75,000g.

This may seem like a lot of gold for someone who scoffed at the price of the Lava Katana, but this hammer can get you through much more of the combat side of Stardew and is our eventual endgame weapon.

3) Dwarf Hammer

“It emits a very faint whirring sound.” We’re still not sure what the faint sound made by this hammer is, but if you can hear it over your repeated slam attacks, you’re using it wrong.

The Dwarf Hammer doesn’t necessarily out-damage the Galaxy Hammer, but it made its way to number three on our list with a tighter spread of damage, giving you more reliable, high damage with a bit of added defense to negate some of that front-line damage you’ll inevitably take.

This hammer doesn’t have a speed bonus, so we’re back to kiting our enemies a bit more for more thorough weapon swings, but we still have the same added knockback as the Galaxy Hammer to aid us in keeping those annoying hordes of slimes at bay.

As per usual, I give you the obligatory, “never stop slamming.”

75-85 Damage

Considered a Level 13 Weapon

How to get the Dwarf Hammer: The good news is the Dwarf Hammer only has one spawn location. The bad news is you may have to spend a few days checking that location if you’re after this particular hammer. Yep, the grind never stops.

The Dwarf Hammer can be found in the Volcano Dungeon Chest, which can only be found on floor nine of Volcano Dungeon. A number of items can exclusively be found in this chest, but only one item can be gained from it per day, and you’ll have to fight through floors 1-9 each time you want to loot this chest, so be sure to come prepared.

2) Dragontooth Club

“This club was crafted from a magical tooth.” If you haven't bothered to figure out what kind of tooth this hammer was crafted from, you’re in the right place, barbarian. Questions are for thinkers; hammers are for warriors.

The Dragontooth Club, like most Dragontooth weapons, plays with crit power. This is one of only two hammers with a crit power buff, and this one is far from negligible. Not quite that sexy knockback power of our last two entries, but it’s still enough to aid you wherever the fight takes you.

It’s important to note that the hammer’s weapon ability can never produce a critical hit, so although you’ll still be slamming, your huge damage numbers are going to be occurring on a weapon swing. For this weapon, you’ll be kiting a little more than our last two entries, but with the chance of one-shotting mobs you hadn’t been able to before.

How to get the Dragontooth Club: This hammer can be gained the same way as the Dwarf Hammer: in the Volcano Dungeon Chest. It may be a bit grueling to get to this chest multiple times, but you were originally headed down there for the forge, anyways.

There's always a chance of gaining the Dragontooth Club before obtaining our last entry, or even on your first trip, so good luck and godspeed!

1) Infinity Gavel

“The true form of the Galaxy Hammer.” This is what we’ve all been waiting for; the true endgame hammer to rule them all. The Infinity Gavel will allow you to properly pass judgment on all dangerous mobs this game has to offer.

We’ve got our speed boost back from earlier to help us keep up with the weapon speed of the Sword weapons. The knockback is as good as ever to keep your enemies further away with a little added defense that wasn’t there with the Galaxy Hammer. This is the highest damaging hammer in the game, and you’ve got the slams to prove it.

This is the same fighting style we had with the Galaxy Hammer beforehand, but with improved damage and an added defensive layer to keep you going in the fight.

How to get the Infinity Gavel: Remember the Volcano Dungeon Chest from earlier? You’ll need to get past this late game dungeon in order to unlock the Forge beneath the Volcano Dungeon. This is where you can forge your very own Infinity Gavel!

The Galaxy Hammer you got earlier on will need to be upgraded into this absolute beast of a hammer. This requires upgrading your Galaxy Hammer three times with three Galaxy Souls and sixty Cinder Shards, each time upgrading it with one Galaxy Soul and twenty Cinder Shards.

Collecting the Cinder Shards shouldn’t be too difficult, as they’re gained in the Volcano Dungeon which you’ve been through at least once or twice. The Galaxy Souls required for this will be a bitch to obtain, however, as you only gain access to this rare item through one of a few quests, including during Mr. Qi’s Skull Cavern invasion.

After completing Mr. Qi’s “Danger in the Deep” quest and unlocking the “Dangerous” Mines, you may find a couple Galaxy Souls inside large slimes, so keep your eyes open! Galaxy Soulsmay also be purchased from Mr. Qi’s Walnut Room for forty Qi gems, or purchased from the island trader with ten radioactive bars on the last day of any season after killing 50 Dangerous Monsters.

This weapon can be almost absurd to forge, so keep in mind this is an endgame weapon and try for those Galaxy Souls on your best-of-luck days.

Hey everyone! It’s me, back again with another list! Today we’ll be looking at the best weapons from Yakuza Kiwami which can be attained in early, mid and late game as well.

As you all may know by now, Kiryu always stumbles upon enemies, whether he’s taking a stroll, going to do assignments, or just standing there minding his own business. The goons in Kamurocho just don’t know when to quit. These weapons are sure to help repel some of these bugs in your way rather quickly!

So let’s get this started, shall we?

15. Gentleman's Umbrella (Early)

This reminds me of when my Mama grabbed one of these umbrellas.

First on the list, we have the Gentleman’s Umbrella. Great for some ass-whooping. Especially in early game.

You can get this weapon in two ways. The first is you can buy this from Don Quijote at Nakamichi Street for ¥5200 a piece, and the second you can find the E-1 Locker Key at Taihei Boulevard next to the Millennium Tower where you can get this umbrella as a reward.

As the Yakuza series is famous for its over-the-top action animations with the weapons, you can equip this weapon and use it in Heat Action to full maximum effect of the weapon. I would advise using this weapon in heat actions only as it counts as 1 use, so it’s better to fill up that Heat bar and use it when full.

What makes Gentleman’s Umbrella a good weapon:

Can be purchased any time from the Don Quijote store at Nakamichi Street.
Does a considerable amount of damage to enemies.
One of the best early weapons in-game with callbacks to previous entries in the franchise.

14. Steel Knuckles (Early)

… And there are moments where Kiryu can get very awkward at times.

Up next, we have the Steel Knuckles which can be obtained by completing “The Yakuza’s Apprentice III” substory in-game.

If there’s one thing the Yakuza games are famous for, other than the beat ‘em up action, is the side content it provides. Especially the substories where you can get items and weapons upon completing them. The photo above is taken from one of the substories where you get the “Steel Knuckles” upon completing the 4 parts of it.

This substory can be accessed in Chapter 4 which makes it good enough for a jump start against enemies! As described above, use it during Heat Actions for more damage and cool animation.

What makes Steel Knuckles a good weapon:

Attained for free by completing a substory.
Sufficient damage is given to enemies.
Free money and Experience accompanied with the weapon by completing the substory.

13. Golden Blackjack (Early)

As you can see, one of the lockers contains the Golden Blackjack. A very useful weapon.

Next, we have the Golden Blackjack which can be obtained by opening the F1 Locker. That’s about it. Serious.

This may seem like an unconventional weapon but trust me when I say that it WILL help you throughout the whole game. As explained in the above line, just find the F1 Locker Key which is located in front of MEB, use it and voila, you’re good to go.

The great thing about this weapon is that you can “Knockback” enemies with it and gain additional XP with it! Perfect for grinding early game and becoming OP in your own right.

Additional XP is gained after fights; making for quick upgrades.
Perfect chance to knock out enemies in a quicker time.
High Attack damage, making for a good early-game weapon.

12. Masterwork Dagger (Early)

That’s about the only photo I could find regarding the dagger… and the sidequest as well.

And now, we have the Masterwork Dagger which can be attained by completing the substory “The Yakuza’s Apprentice IV”. Don’t worry, this is the last part of The Yakuza’s Apprentice substory series since there are 4 in total.

If you’re a player like me who does side-quests first, or in this case, substories and other side activities, alongside the missions then you’ll definitely enjoy this particular substory series. It doesn’t have much durability but it makes up for the attack damage that it gives.

Oh, and it has one of the highest damages in the early weapons category, so there’s that too.

What makes Masterwork Dagger a good weapon:

Perfect chance to knock out enemies in a quicker time.
Daggers make for amazing Heat Actions.
High Attack damage, making for a good early-game weapon.

11. Marlin Cannon (Early)

So, yeah. It’s a cannon alright …. But shaped like a fish.

Marlin Cannon is next on the list, and veteran Yakuza players would definitely recognize this weapon from the get-go.

Here’s the thing regarding this weapon, it’s not part of a reward from the substory and it’s definitely NOT part of a chapter completion reward either. It’s part of the free DLC given away by the developers of the game. (A rare sight in today’s gaming landscape as well.)

To get this DLC item, you need to talk to Bob Utsunomiya (the green afro-haired joker guy in a white suit). Since it’s a free update, you’ll get it for free. (Duh.) It doesn’t have much ammo but what it does have is INFINITE durability. You can whack those enemies all you want. Perfect for an early jump-start.

What makes Marlin Cannon a good weapon:

Infinite durability makes it usable for melee as well.
Perfect chance to knock out enemies in a quicker time.
High Attack damage, making for a good early-game weapon.

10. Double Feathered Fans (Middle)

This substory is a great callback to Yakuza 0 in general.

The Double Feathered Fans make a good addition to the list and for good reason. You can get this weapon by completing the substory “Memories of the Bubble”.

One thing about this weapon and this substory as a whole is that it is a callback to the Bubble Economy Era of Japan i.e. 1988 which is the main setting for the prequel of this game, Yakuza 0. Everything from the costume, weapon and even the dialogues recalling the events of that time brings back memories for Kiryu and veteran Yakuza fans. (Newbies can count too since 0 is the gateway game for most Yakuza fans.)

Apart from all the nostalgic value, it’s got great damage like the rest. To access this substory, you need to go to Debolah. I accessed this area mid-game so the quest and weapon reward from this game didn’t hamper my progress at all. Oh, it’s got the ability to Stun enemies too.

9. Patriarch’s Driver (Middle)

So, no photo of the weapon. A Coliseum will do, considering that you get the weapon from there.

Moving up, we have the Patriarch’s Driver which can be attained from the Coliseum if you have enough yen for it.

The reason why I’ve placed this in mid-game category is that you need to have your level high enough to beat tough opponents coming in the bouts and in mid-game (around Chapter 11. I know, it’s a bit late in the game but you’ll know why later), you have considerable XP to get new abilities. Or if you’re lucky, when fighting Majima in the Majima Everywhere system, you may get this weapon as a drop from him.

Just grind your way through the matches, collect enough money and voila, you’ll get the bat. Now, whip those goons to shape with it.

8. Baiken (Middle)

That’s the secret shop within the Beam DVD store where you’ll get the weapon. And many more.

Baiken’s next in the list which you can get after unlocking the Nunchaku Mastery skill in the Dragon of Dojima style by reaching Rank S in Majima Everywhere.

It’s probably the most expensive Nunchaku in the already expensive secret weapons store for ¥990,000 BUT it’s worth the price if you’re mid-game and save up a lot of money like me during walkthroughs.

High attack damage along with “Staggering” effect on enemies makes for a great weapon. Oh, and it may comein handy during Legend difficulty.

What makes Baiken a great weapon:

Staggering effect on enemies gives you an edge during combat.

High Attack damage even during mid-game weapon.

7. Dragon Grudge Fists (Middle)

Just Kiryu setting up goons straight with his Brawler style.

Probably the second most powerful knuckles in the list which can be attained after finishing the Coliseum along with other weapons.

One of the longest durability weapons, this knuckle set can set goons straight in a quick manner of time. To get this, just finish the Coliseum matches and you’ll get the option to buy this weapon for the required points at the coliseum.

High attack and durability make for a good weapon choice mid-game.

6. Tiger Bagh Nanka (Middle)

Well, being OP does have its advantages.

The strongest knuckle set in the weapons makes its way to the list! And you can get this in the same method as above.

What gives an edge over all the knuckles is that it’s got the highest Attack damage and a “Staggering” effect on the enemy. It doesn’t have much durability though but the attacks make up for it! Especially if you use it during Heat Action.

5. Yinglong Tonfa (Late)

FINALLY! A photo with the required weapon in use.

And we’ve moved up to the late-game weapons which are DEFINITELY worth the grind. Starting with the Yinglong Tonfa.

If you’ve played Yakuza 0, you may remember Jun Oda from Tachibana Real Estate, well, that guy had a Tonfa for a weapon. And BOY did it hit hard!

The same can be said of this weapon as well. Just simply gather the required CP (which will be at the end of the game, considering you require 10 CP AFTER spending 25 CP on the previous four weapons from the clown guy Bob Utsunomiya. Oh, and you need Tonfa and Nunchaku Mastery unlocked for this as well.

What makes Yinglong Tonfa a superb weapon:

Cool Heat Action animations
Perfect chance to knock out enemies in a quicker time.
High damage and durability of the weapon; fit for use against higher level and more difficult enemies as well.

4. MJM56-55 Exorcist (Late)

Jingu finally gets a taste of being unfair in a fight.

Unexpectedly, next on the list we have the MJM56-55 Exorcist Shotgun with killer damage and ammo in the shotguns category!

The weird thing about this weapon is that it costs ¥1,555,500 AND is only available from the secret weapons shop during the finale before you get to fight Jingu and your kyoudai, Akira Nishikiyama.

But the damage and ammo capacity makes it worth the cheesing of these bosses! Especially Jingu in Legend difficulty. Works on other goons too.

On the third entry, we have the Golden Pistol! A fan-favourite, this pistol is used for almost every single encounter in late-game! Or in Legend difficulty too.

You get this weapon as the final CP reward from Bob Utsunomiya AFTER collecting all the CP Reward weapons from him.

There’s no explanation required for this weapon, it’s got infinite ammo making it the ideal weapon to cheese bosses and anyone coming your way. It’s got only 50 damage though but shooting constantly at the enemies makes it up for it!

It doesn’t have much damage. I mean, 20. WHAT KIND OF DAMAGE DOES THIS BAT GIVE!? But ir makes it up for the infinite durability and wacky woo-hoo action that you can perform on enemies as well as cheesing bosses.

To get this, you need to reach Rank SSS in Majima Everywhere system which is very tedious to do during grinding but definitely worth the time.

And on the top of the list, we have the fan-favourite Demonfire Dagger, Majima’s iconic tanto or knife!

This knife is attained only by completing the Majima Everywhere system by defeating Majima once and for all after reaching the highest rank and getting ALL the upgrades for this fight.

It is DEFINITELY worth the top spot considering it’s one of the few weapons with infinite durability and some epic Heat Action animations. ALSO, you can combine its use with the Pummelling Bat as well!

What makes Demonfire Dagger a superb weapon:

Can be used with Pummelling Bat for dual damage.
Perfect endgame weapon.
