[Top 9] Dragon Age Inquisition Best Romances

Are you one of those players who went through several campaigns only to try each romance? Or maybe you're one of those who don't even try to get a romance because you don't know which one to choose. One or another, I have the answer for you right here! We don't include Vivienne as a romance option because she is not interested in the Inquisitor but don't feel sad. Here are nine options for you to choose your favorite:

9. Scout Harding

This is probably the most underrated romance ever. Scout Harding is the first dwarven romance in the whole Dragon Age series. Dwarves have not been given a lot of importance in this matter. The only two dwarven companions we got in Origins and DA 2, were Oghren and Varric. They aren't romanceable, hence the lack of options for a dwarven warden/champion/inquisitor. Harding is not a complete romance with cutscenes or marriage endings. But at least we get a little taste of what is like dating a dwarf! It's funny how a Qunari or Tal-Vashoth (whatever you prefer) was considered first as a romantic option than a dwarf. I guess dwarves are the unreachable ones.

Anyways Harding's romance will not unlock any special cut scenes, rewards, or personal quests. You just get to flirt and have her flirting back but not much more. She's still a very cute character and easily lovable. Especially if you're playing with a male dwarf Inquisitor.

How to get this romance: To get Scout Harding's heart you'll have to talk to her every time you get a chance. Try to be funny and gentle. She will respond as soon as you start flirting with her. You don't need anything else but to choose romantic options when chatting.

8. Josephine

Would you like to get your life in order? Are you dealing with disorganization problems? Then this is your perfect solution. Josephine is a very cute character, smart and cheesy. Her romance is like a Disney story, fun and dramatic with high doses of sweetness. It lacks steamy cutscenes which makes it a little bit boring. But is a beautiful romance for those who prefer tender instead of intense/horny love. Some people find her tedious and others find her to be the best elegant-classy character. If you like her personality then you might love her.

How to get this romance: Josephine is one of the two NPCs who aren't attached to an approval rating to unlock the romance. Meaning the decisions you take throughout the story won't be important to her. She’s actually the easiest romanceable character. Exhaust all her dialogue options and always choose the romantic answers. This will lead you to her quests: “Of Somewhat Fallen Fortune - Heraldry from a Herald - An Unexpected Engagement”. Before completing the third one you should already be in a relationship with her. After this, the romance is official and there is no turning back.

7. Iron Bull

Now here's when things start to get interesting. A romanceable Qunari. The most enigmatic race in the Dragon Age games. Ever since they were first introduced in Origins, everything about them was a mystery. We've come to this point where one of them will open his heart to you. Out of curiosity, I ended up dating him before anybody else. I have to say the Bull has the best dialogues ever. Romancing him will keep you entertained. I mean it. I would say is sort of a healthy BDSM romance full of respect and romantic feelings. A weird combo and unexpected if we think about the Bull as a Qunari. Plus the cutscenes are so worth it. So if you were thinking about picking him as your romance, go ahead. You will have no regrets.

How to get this romance: Luckily the Iron Bull is bisexual and will accept any race. To gain his approval you’ll have to take him with you to kill any High Dragon or Venatoris in the way. After that meet Bull at the Tavern. Accept his invitation and keep it up with the flirting. This will lead you to unlock his quests: “Demands of the Qun - Tough Love”. After the first quest, if you flirted enough with him, he will show up to you and make a proposal.

To go on a serious level you’ll have to be really committed. This requires you to kill a High Dragon in order to craft a necklace with an obsidian stone and the dragon’s tooth. This necklace will be your commitment gift. Impressive huh?

6. Cassandra

Oh, this magnificent lady. She's like no other female ever created in the Dragon Age world. Her personality, ideals, and preferences make her unique. She knows what she wants and is very straightforward. A very strong and dominant woman that will drive you horny-mad. The only thing I found as an impediment was her fervent faith in the Maker, Andraste, and the chantry. This romance is very sweet and the cutscenes are beautiful. Cassandra is one of a kind, if she likes you, don't miss the chance.

How to get this romance: She's only interested in males, it can be of any race. To keep her interested in you, you'll have to align with her beliefs. She's a faithful follower of the Divine and therefore a believer of the chantry's ideals. The Inquisitor will have to accept and embrace that they are the Herald of Andraste and support her decisions regarding the chantry. This will lead you to the high approval needed to unlock the romance. Complete her personal quests (Unfinished Business, Promise of destruction, and Guilty Pleasures) to get the relationship started. Once you complete the first three quests, The Ideal Romance mission will be unlocked for you to make her finally yours.

5. Blackwall

The grey warden, the kind of man every girl wants. He's just the perfect gentleman. The fact that he's a grey warden makes this romance much more interesting. The amount of drama is worthy of a novel. If you don't like dramatic relationships you better keep yourself away from him. He might get you on your nerves. He's like a love-hate type of relationship, maybe this makes him great for an ex. I love him no matter what, he was very intense and got my Inquisitor heart very fast due to his ideals and poetic way of being.

I must warn you that Blackwall is someone you can't have. He is a grey warden, that should be enough information for you to understand what I mean.

How to get this romance: He's only interested in females of any race. To get his approval you'll have to be righteous and merciful. Help out people in need and help him complete his personal quests: Memories of the Grey; Explanations; Revelations. Through the quests, the romance will take place but the end is unavoidable. There’s not a lot of dialogue but every time you get a chance, talk to him and always be kind. He doesn’t like a rude girl.

4. Sera

Sera is the queen of entertainment. If you need someone to take away your boredom this one is for you. Trust me she's the craziest character ever. Now exactly because of this is why you should be cautious. If you're not ready to handle her lunatic head then don't even consider it. She's impulsive, somehow selfish, and determined to do as she pleases.

She's a wild creature and you should only romance her if you feel like dealing with her difficult personality.

How to get this romance: Sera is interested in females only, she doesn't care about the Inquisitor's race. But she cares about the decisions you take regarding justice against your enemies. She prefers a deathly Inquisitor. To understand her, you might want to check her journal and her codex. I find it a little bit cringe but Sera is a funny person thus, to gain her approval you'll have to talk to her in the same tone. Of course, you'll have to favor the elven people. Complete her three personal quests: A friend of Red Jenny, The Verchiel March, and A Woman Who Wants for Nothing. During the first one, you should already have flirted with her. At Mythal you can end the romance with Sera if you regret the decision to date her.

3. Dorian

He's one of the favorite characters among Dragon Age players. He has the most vital personality—a sarcastic Tevinter mage who is cringed by his own people. Teviterans don’t accept him and judge him for his sexual orientation which is not easy for him. This gives the relationship with Dorian a more realistic approach. I have to say that regardless of who you prefer, Dorian is always the best option for a male Inquisitor. His personality is great, there are great conversations with him. Romancing him is the best bet you can take, he has everything the Inquisitor needs. He’s funny, charismatic, smart, interesting, and romantic.

How to get this romance: Dorian is only interested in males of any race. Even though you can still flirt with him as a female. After gaining his approval by answering in a funny way to his chatting, and supporting him; You’ll need to complete his first quest: Last Resort of Good Men. The romance should begin at the end of the quest when he apologizes to the Inquisitor and the dialogue line of starting a relationship comes up. His final quest, The Magister’s Birthright can end your relationship with Dorian. Do not kill Ponchard if you don’t want to lose Dorian.

2. Solas

I think this is the most interesting romance in the whole Dragon Age series. Solas is such a mysterious creature. He sometimes speaks in symbols, you’ll either feel hungry to know what’s going on inside his head or you’ll be exhausted before you get to know him deeply. His romance is just… if you don’t want to be heartbroken don’t choose the mage. We’ve already seen what happens with mages in the past games. They always end up doing some weird stuff and breaking your heart to leave you all alone, cold, and sad. Yes, Solas will make the Inquisitor suffer. A lot. But romancing him is worth every single tear.

How to get this romance: Solas is the most exclusive romance, he will date only female elves. You’ll also need to gain his approval by supporting mages and being righteous. Try to be like him when answering, he won’t be very happy with an angry or comic Inquisitor. He likes gentle smart people, he likes it when you show interest in his knowledge. The romance options will be more intense at Skyhold, try to use them whenever you get one. The first kissing option will be triggered in a conversation about the Fade. The hard part has begun. You must increase his approval through his quests: All New; Faded for Her; What Lies Dormant. You must always choose to be benevolent with everything that can cast a spell, no matter what shape it is. Otherwise, he will not approve of your actions and may even break up with you. The final scene is unavoidable. There’s no way to change his choices. You can support him and watch him leave but with your love untouched, or you can just walk away with your dignity and tell him he’s just wrong for doing dirty to you.

1. Cullen

The legendary templar, Cullen. The one who stole our hearts ever since we first met him in Origins. This is the best romance in the game under no discussion. He has the best cutscenes, he’s full of love and tenderness. He’s respectful, and an adorable gentleman. The man is just perfect. You might like his personality or not but the romance story is superior to the rest in every single way. If you want to go through the happy path, choose Cullen. Besides he's going through a stage where the Inquisitor can be the key to his story. This adds an immersive feeling that no other romance does.

How to get this romance: Luckily his not a subject of the approval rating. The decisions you take will not be important to him. The only requirement is for you to be a female elf/human You can start flirting with him in your first conversations. Don’t start romantic dialogues with the rest of your companions if you want to keep him interested. He dislikes lyrium and pretty much rejects everything related to it. Don’t press him in this matter. You can start doing his quest “Perseverance” once you accept to play chess and after completing the main story quest “Here lies the abyss/Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts”. During this quest, you have to support him, understand and take care of him. After this, he’s all yours and you’re ready to live the best romance ever.

So if you want to climb out of that lonely pit you find yourself in, here’s a list of the best romance options you have in the game. Whether you want a meaningful relationship or a one-night stand to blow off some steam, we’ve got the detes for you!

Core Romances

4. Kerry Eurodyne

Rockerboy with a heart (and wardrobe) of gold.

Flamboyant rockerboy with style and attitude, Kerry Eurodyne is a famous musician and celebrity in Night City. Known for co-founding the revolutionary band, Samurai, with Johnny Silverhand, before starting a successful solo career of his own. Although he has a much easier life than he used to, he’s still not afraid to get his hands dirty and cause a little destruction (with the help from V and Johnny of course). To avoid conflict, don’t bring up his rival–the J-Pop girl band, Us Cracks.

What's Great About Romancing Kerry

Love to have some decent gay representation in an RPG.
Who doesn’t want to romance and edgy glam rockstar?
The kickstart to the romance–Kerry hijacks his record label manager, L.B. Kovachek’s, yacht and starts destroying it, inviting you to join in on the fun–is quite fun (who doesn’t wanna destroy someone else’s nice stuff–true rockstar style?).
Kerry’s romance scene is very steamy!
He can be the romantic interest appearing in the “Path of Glory” ending epilogue.

How to Romance Kerry:

During character creation, you must choose for V to have a masculine body type and masculine voice.
Chippin’ In (Side Job)
- To initiate the path to romancing Kerry, you must help Rogue find intel on Adam Smasher during Chippin’ In.
- At the end of the mission, make sure to chat with Rogue before you leave.
Holdin’ On (Side Job)
- This is where you will first meet Kerry.
- Sneak into Kerry’s house and let Johnny take control of your body so he can catch up with Kerry.
- As they talk, Kerry will propose getting Samruai back together, which will unlock the subsequent mission, Second Conflict.
Second Conflict (Side Job)
- This quest will have different variations based on the decisions you made in The Pickup near the beginning of the game, but the end result will involve rescuing Nancy and convincing her to reunite with Samurai for one last gig.
- If you rescued Brick during The Pickup, you will be invited in, talk with Brick, and simply walk out with Nancy.
- If you did not rescue Brick, you will have to fight your way through and rescue Nancy.
A Like Supreme (Side Job)
- During this quest, you will have to choose if you want to play with Denny or Henry, but either choice will not affect you romancing Kerry.
Rebel! Rebel! (Side Job)
- After completing A Like Supreme, wait over 24 in-game hours. Kerry will eventually call you for a job helping him in his rivalry against the J-Pop girl group, Us Cracks.
I Don’t Wanna Hear It (Side Job)
- After completing Rebel! Rebel!, wait over 24 in-game hours. Kerry will eventually sends you some texts. After responding to his texts and waiting some more in-game time, Kerry will call you.
- You will sneak into the concert venue (it does not matter how you go about it) and sneak backstage.
- Once you both are backstage, Kerry will pun a gun on the Us Cracks. You can intervene and calm him down, or not. Either option will not impact your romantic relationship potential with Kerry, but if you do not calm him down, you will lose access to a potential quest from Blue Moon.
Off the Leash (Side Job)
- This is the crucial mission for romancing Kerry.
- When Kerry opens up to you, make sure to tell him, “You can tell me,” when prompted.
- When prompted, choose to kiss Kerry.
Boat Deal (Side Job)
- After passing time in-game, you will meet Kerry at a (what you presume is his) yacht.
- Destroy the yacht with him and when prompted, kiss him. This will unlock the steamy romance scene with Kerry.
- You will wake up on the beach, next to Kerry.
- In order to solidify your relationship, make sure to hug Kerry.

3. Judy Álvarez

Cherish that smile, cuz Judy doesn’t do that for most people.

A snarky, intelligent, techie Mox, Judy is a vibrant flame in Night City. Judy offers the best of both worlds–laid back, humorous friend and fiercely protective mama bear. Judy comes off as cold and closed-off when we first meet her, but as we develop our relationship with her, we come to learn that she has a caring heart underneath that hardened exterior.

What's Great About Romancing Judy

She gets the most screen time out of any romanceable character, making her romance seem more meaningful–we get to know her over a longer period of time, making the relationship seem more meaningful.
The romance option with Judy allows for new information about Judy and her upbringing, which in turn, helps with world-building regarding small towns and corpo gentrification pushing residents into megacities such as Night City.
Decent lesbian representation is always a plus in an RPG!
Romancing her will grant you access to her apartment, where you can find some MaxTac gear (that was definitely used for MaxTac work and not roleplaying).
She can be the romantic interest appearing in the “Path of Glory” ending epilogue.

How to Romance Judy:

During character creation, you must choose for V to have a feminine body type and feminine voice.
The Information (Main Job)
- This is where you will first meet Judy. As long as you complete this mission, you will be on the path to romancing her.
Automatic Love (Main Job)
- Although your choices during this mission will not directly affect having a romantic relationship with Judy, if you opt for being honest in your dialogue with Judy, this will easily unlock further dialogue options in future interactions.
The Space in Between (Main Job)
- Any dialogue options are acceptable, but this job must be completed in order to unlock subsequent jobs necessary to romance Judy.
Disasterpiece (Main Job)
- Any dialogue options are acceptable, but this job must be completed in order to unlock subsequent jobs necessary to romance Judy.
Double Life (Main Job)
- After you listen to the audio conversation, you will have the opportunity to talk with Judy when you exit the BD. Similar to Automatic Love, here your dialogue options will affect your future dialogue options with Judy, but will not interfere with your romantic relationship.
Both Sides, Now (Side Job)
- Now that you have completed all of Judy’s Main Jobs (see above), you will have a series of Side Jobs focused around Judy getting revenge for Evelyn. Both Sides, Now is the first of Judy’s Side Jobs necessary to unlock a romantic relationship with her.
- After completing Double Life, wait 24 in-game hours for Judy to call you.
- During your conversations with Judy, choose any dialogue options, making sure to stay on Judy’s good side.
Ex-Factor (Side Job)
- Wait 12 in-game hours after completing Both Sides, Now for a text from Judy. Wait another 6 in-game hours to receive a call from Judy.
- When talking with Judy on the phone, make sure to agree to help–if you do not agree to help here, all subsequent steps will not be available, meaning you cannot romance Judy.
- Any other dialogue options are acceptable–simply help Judy complete the job.
Talking Bout A Revolution (Side job)
- After completing Ex-Factor, Judy will text you after 6 in-game hours, followed by a phone call another 6 in-game hours later.
- When talking with Judy and her friends, be sure to “not let them down,” or you will lose access to the subsequent side jobs necessary to romance Judy.
- Near the end of the mission, Judy will offer to pay you for your assistance–make sure to kindly “decline” her offer.
- Although there is no consequence for not doing this, you can choose to “stay the night” at Judy’s while you recover. Agreeing will add to the intimacy of your relationship and earn you some free breakfast.
Pisces (Side Job)
- After completing Talking Bout a Revolution, Judy will text you after 6 in-game hours, followed by a phone call another 6 in-game hours later.
- This is where your dialogue options become crucial to unlocking Judy’s last side job and romancing Judy!
- In order to stay on the path to romancing Judy and receive a kiss from her at the end of this mission, you must choose the following dialogue options when talking with Judy’s ex Maiko:
  - “This wasn’t the plan.”
  - “Hold on. Think you've gone too far.”
  - “[Draw Weapon] Let’s cut to the quick.”
- Kill the Tyger Claws and speak with Maiko again.
  - “What?”
  - “Can’t know that for sure.”
Pyramid Song (Side Job)--Romance at last!
- 24-in game hours after completing Pisces, Judy will give you a call, asking you out on a date.
- While on the phone with Judy, agree to meet her at the dam past Rancho Coronado.
- When you meet Judy, agree to go diving with her.
- After you finish diving, agree to spend the night at the bungalow with Judy.
- After you turn on the generator, you will hear Judy’s thoughts (synced earlier from your dive). Go back into the bungalow and approach Judy in the bathroom. Make sure to ask her if everything is alright. When Judy opens the door, tell her, “We’re still synced.”
- Judy will finally open up to you. When prompted, choose the option, “[Touch] It is ours.” This will unlock the romance scene with Judy.
- The next morning, you will find Judy on the dock.
- Judy will ask you what last night meant to you. In order to continue a romantic relationship, respond, “The beginning of something amazing.”

2. River Ward

I am the protector of Night City.

A brooding (former) detective with a heart of gold and a duty to protect his city after his parents were murdered and their killers never brought to justice…is this Bruce Wayne’s cousin or what? River ward is known for his duty to protecting his city, avenging his parents, and caring for his family.

What's Great About Romancing River

River brings you to visit his family before you have established a romantic relationship, making your relationship more intimate and endearing.
River is the only romanceable character that can be present in both the Path of Glory and All Along the Watchtower ending epilogues.
First appearing as brooding and aloof, getting to form an intimate relationship with River, watching him open himself up to you, is all the more satisfying.

How to Romance River:

During character creation, you must choose for V to have a feminine body type.
Life During Wartime (Main Job)
- After completing the main job Life During Wartime, and having the adequate street cred requirements (9 for Westbrook, 13 for Heywood, and 9 for City Center), you will be called by a woman named Elizabeth Peralez, which will eventually lead you to meeting River Ward for the first time.
I Fought the Law (Side Job)
- Having completed Life During Wartime and meeting the street cred requirements, Elizabeth Peralez will call you for a job, in which you will meet River.
- As long as you complete the quest, you will unlock the next step in romancing River (his subsequent quests).
The Hunt (Side Job)
- After 24 in-game hours, River will call you for you to meet him to talk about an important task he needs help with–you learn that River’s nephew Randy has been kidnapped, the kidnapper (who has kidnapped and murdered many boys) was apprehended and put into a comatose state, so River needs your help in finding Randy.
- During the BD sequence, you need to find all the clues in order to locate the farm where Randy is being held–if you miss one of the clues, you must guess the correct name of the farm–Edgewood.
- At the end of the mission, River contemplates seeking revenge. If you want to pursue a romantic relationship with River, you must choose one of the following options: “Don’t do it, River” or “We both will”.
Following the River (Side Job)
- After completing The Hunt, wait 24-in game hours in order to receive a call from River asking you to meet him.
When you find yourself speaking with River on top of the water tower, you will have the first romance option. When prompted, select the “Kiss” option. This will lead to a romance scene with River, followed by you waking up in his bed.
You will have a conversation with River about the Relic proving an obstacle in having a relationship, but in order to pursue a romantic relationship with River, you must choose the “Kiss” option when prompted, followed by “I feel good around you”.

1. Panam Palmer

Part desert flower, part desert scorpion.

Panam is a vibrant force to be reckoned with. She’s brave, blunt, and beautiful. She can be a bit impatient at times, but can’t we all? Known for being one of the only nomads to strike out on their own and actually build a successful life for themselves in Night City. Despite being exiled from her nomad clan, Panam’s loyal and caring nature means that she will still do everything in her power to help them when they need it.

What's Great About Romancing Panam

Panam’s romance scene–syncing your nervous systems in the Basilisk, so that you both feel what each other are feeling–is incredibly intimate and steamy! Added excitement considering the Basilisk gets bombed during the middle of your activity..while both of you are still naked.
While being fiercely independent and brave, Panam is also incredibly passionate and loyal to her loved ones, making her a great romantic partner.
Having a romantic relationship with Panam makes The Star ending/All Along the Watchtower epilogue more satisfying, as you are running away with Panam to start a new life together.

How to Romance Panam:

During character creation, you must choose for V to have a masculine body type.
Ghost Town (Main Job)
- During this mission, help Panam take down Nash’s gang.
- At the Sunset Motel, ask Panam if she wants to share a room.
- She will respond that the room will have two twin beds, so she might as well, to which you will choose the flirty response that is not what you had in mind.
Lightning Breaks (Main Job)
- No romance options occur in this quest, but you have to complete this quest in order to unlock the next step in romancing her.
Life During Wartime (Main Job)
- After saving Mitch, ask Panam to help you track down Hellman.
- At the end of the quest, stand up for Panam in front of Saul–she will thank you.
Riders on the Storm (Side Job) *Time Sensitive
- Wait 12 hours in-game and Panam will call you to ask for your help in rescuing Saul, who has been kidnapped by Wraiths. *This is a time sensitive quest, so you must initiate the quest as soon as she contacts you.
- Choose to ride with Panam on the way.
- While riding out the sandstorm in the house, side with Panam when talking with Saul.
- When Panam stretches her legs onto your lap, ask Panam to take her shoes off and relax.
- Choose option “Touch Panam’s Thigh,” or “You Choose”
With a Little Help From My Friends (Side Job)
- Wait 12 more in-game hours and Panam will call you again, asking for help with her issues with Saul.
- Meet Panam at the Aldecaldos Camp.
- At the control tower, you will talk with Panam–when it is your turn to talk, agree with Panam.
- Choose option, “Touch Panam’s hand” to reassure her.
- When Saul texts you asking about Panam’s whereabouts, respond that you have “No Idea,” where she is.
- While sitting around the campfire, choose to “Scooch Closer,” to Panam–you will wrap your arm around Panam in doing so.
Queen of the Highway (Side Job)
- Leave the Alecaldos camp area and wait until the next day for Panam to call you to tell you that the Basilisk is ready.
- When you meet Panam, you will go on a ride with her in the Basilisk.
- After you go through the training, you will have the opportunity to synchronize your bodies.
- When prompted, choose the option “Let Panam Touch You”.
- This will initiate the romance scene with Panam–in the midst of your romance, the Basilisk will be attacked, prompting combat.
- After the combat, you and Panam will talk about the Relic putting an expiration date on your relationship, but you will go to sleep in Panam’s bed.
- The next day, follow Panam and when prompted, choose the “Kiss Panam” option, which will prompt her to tell you to stay in touch (if you do not choose the “Kiss Panam” option, your one-night stand will be the end of your romantic relationship with Panam).

“Hey, you lookin’ for some company tonight?”

Sexy robots that can change their appearance to fit your desires? Doesn’t sound too bad. JoyToys come in all varieties, so there’s bound to be one you’re interested in. Plus, there’s no risk of entering a long-term relationship that could lead to betrayal, heartbreak, or death. On top of that, there’s economic options–whether you’re strapped for scratch or looking to celebrate a lucrative score, there’s JoyToys to fit your price range.

What's Great About Romancing JoyToys

While they offer no emotional relationship, there are male and female Joy-Toys that you can romance if you order their services–options for everyone!
You can revisit them whenever you want (as long as you got the eddies), whereas the other fling options are a one-time only deal.
Unlike some romanceable characters, there are no exclusions based on V’s body type or voice–any variety of V can romance any variety of JoyToy.
No strings attached–if you are not looking for a committed relationship, or even any expectations of a follow-up call, drink, or what-have you, then JoyToys are the way to go.

How to Romance JoyToys:

If you want to romance the lower-end JoyToys, follow these steps:
- Go to Jig-Jig street in Westbrook, with at least €$100 on you.
- Use the lip icon on your map to locate the female and/or male JoyToys on Jig-Jig street.
- Initiate conversation with the JoyToy and choose the option to pay them for their services.
If you want to romance the higher-end JoyToys, follow these steps:
- Complete Kerry Eurodyne’s Questline–this will unlock the club at which the high-end JoyToys spawn.
- Go to the club in eastern Westbrook with at least €$3,000 on you.
- Use the lip icon on your map to locate the female and/or male JoyToys in the club.
- Initiate conversation with the JoyToy and choose the option to pay them for their services.

2. Meredith Stout

“Remember - we don’t know each other.”

A cold corpo agent in the streets…a cuddly dominatrix in the sheets. Meredith is known for her tough, no-nonsense status as a Militech agent. However, if you have the opportunity to romance her, you’ll see that she likes to change personas in private.

What's Great About Romancing Meredith

Meredith is the only romantic partner (that you do not have to pay for) that you can have as both male or female V.
You can pick up an exclusive…quite unique melee weapon after romancing her.
You get to brag to your friends that you were able to romance a cold, domineering corpo agent.

How to Romance Meredith:

The Pickup (Main Job)
- During this mission, you must follow the optional objective of meeting up with Meredith. To do this, go to your phone and look for Meredith Stout in your contacts. Once you call her, you will set up a meeting with her.
- Meet up with Meredith and agree to take the Militech chip (that is laced with a virus) to pay the Maelstroms off.
- How you actually deal with Maelstroms can vary, but the important thing is to not betray Meredith. You must either give the Maelstroms the infected chip OR bring enough eddies yourself to pay off Royce.
- Either way, Militech will begin an assault on All Foods. You must attack the Maelstroms and not attack Militech in order to have the opportunity to romance Meredith.
- If you are successful, you will meet Meredith outside of All Foods and have a brief conversation with her.
Venus in Furs (Side Job)
- After some time passes, Meredith will text you, “Militech played out as I hoped. Thank you and remember - we don’t know each other.” Make sure to respond to her text. My pick is “Shame. Was starting to like you…”.
- After more time passes, Meredith will text you, “No-Tell Motel. 1st floor. Come alone.” It does not matter what response you choose, but you MUST respond to her text in order to begin the Venus in Furs quest.
- When you arrive at Meredith’s room at the No-Tell Motel, you will find her sitting in the room, in a very different outfit than she normally wears.
- Talk with her to initiate the romance scene.
- When you wake up, look around the room to find one of the “toys” she may have used during your romance…this “toy” is actually a fairly powerful melee weapon called Sir John Phallustiff.

Queen of the Afterlife, Queen of fixers, a living icon…Rogue is known by a lot of titles. Establishing herself as a brazen go-getter in her teen years, Rogue worked her way up the underworld to establish herself as a force to be reckoned with in Night City.

What's Great About Romancing Rogue

Although there is no possibility of having a continuous relationship with Rogue (makes sense considering Johnny is an engram in V’s body, which can make a sustainable relationship…strained at best), this romance opportunity offers Rogue and Johnny both some much-needed closure.
Completing her quests and romancing Rogue earns you the Bushido and Chill trophy and achievement.
Rogue is the only romanceable fling that allows you to have a meaningful date rather than just sex–proving that meaningful connections are still possible in this often dreary world.

How to Romance Rogue:

Chippin’ In (Side Job)
- Towards the end of the mission, you will have a crucial conversation with Johnny. Your dialogue choices will affect whether or not you can romance Rogue.
- While at Johnny’s grave, these are the dialogue options you must make:
  - “[Inscribe Johnny’s Initials] Let’s do something about that.”
  - “The Guy who Saved My Life” * this response is necessary to unlock the secret ending
  - “Nah, fucked that up too” * this response is necessary to unlock the secret ending
  - “What do you want from me?”
  - “OK. But as second chances go, this is your last.”
  - “You were a real dick in the beginning”
  - “When you said you let down your friends…”
  - “Smasher biz really got to her.”
  - “Yeah, I’ll call Rogue.” * If you get this dialogue at the end you did everything correctly and Johnny will call Rogue out on a date.
Blistering Love (Side Job)
- If you got the “Yeah, I’ll call Rogue,” dialogue at the end of Chippin’ In, then Blistering Love will automatically trigger.
- Start by calling Rogue to ask her out on a date. You will meet up with her and take her to an abandoned drive-in theatre (which was the date in which Johnny notoriously ditched her).
- While sitting on top of the car with Rogue, you will have a conversation. Some of the dialogue does not have any impact on romancing her, but you must choose the following dialogue when prompted:
  - “How’d you imagine this date going?”
  - “Sure. Lured you to the movies to get laid, by the way.”
  - “Do anything not to lose you”.
  - “Only thing that matters is I came back to you.”
  - “[Kiss] More than I expected.”
- After choosing the kiss option, the romance scene with Rogue will transpire. However, after you begin getting intimate, Rogue will change her mind, realizing that getting together via V’s body is a bit too weird for everyone involved.
- Although this romance is not even a one-night stand, Johnny and Rogue both gain some much needed closure concerning their relationship.

My favorite part of the game are the romance choices. If you want to know which way to turn, or what to try next, this article will be your guide. At last, every romance has a very different taste.

10. The Desire Demon

Just for the fun, this interaction with the demon is pretty special. Is one of those options that make the game so versatile. There's no use in having sex with the demon and there are much more useful options but here it is. You are free to kill your curiosity/fetish.

How to get this romance:

It will be available only to the mage who enters the fade when trying to save Connor from the demon who possessed him. Select the right options to perform the ritual to enter the fade. Once you're in there and the demon finally shows you its true form, it will try to talk with you instead of fighting. The proposition shall appear as long as you don't kill it. If you kill the demon, it will naturally not be available to get to propose you something in exchange for Connor and Eamons souls. Propositions will be power, talent, love, or sex. You get to choose one. Remember this deal means that the demon will come back for Connor someday.

9. Teli and Mardy

Dwarfs know very well how to have fun without caring about the risks. That's basically what Teli and Mardy represent. Course you can choose your path of morality but just ask yourself, what would a dwarf do? As far as we've seen, this race is the most mischievous.

Teli and Mardy are two dwarfs who hunt nobles to have a child with them and gain access to nobility. Once you encountered them you can choose Mardy or both of them to have sex with. If you accept, Mardy will get pregnant. The kid's future will be totally up to you. She will expect you to accept her and the kid since she's pretty much homeless. This is where you decide whether you help her or not.

Another thing to keep in mind is that whoever you choose as the new Orzammar king will determine the future of your son. You can talk to both candidates to see what they think about it.

How to get this romance:

You must be a noble dwarf to get this quest.

They can be found in the Diamond Quarter which is at the highest level of the thaig. You just need to talk to them to receive Mardy's quest. You can't choose Teli alone. You decide whether you take Mardy or both.

Mardy finds you asking for help further in the game. She had a child of yours but she's homeless. Give her some coin if you will. The real future of the kid will be decided by your King's choice. Harrowmont will have mercy and treat them like nobility. Bhelen will not.

8. Nelaros/Nesiara

These romances will give quite an interesting perspective of nobility and their relationship with the elves. Following the tradition of engaging two young elves for the convenience of both families, you'll go through this story with a quest of its own. Nelaros will be your betrothed if you're a female and Nesiara if you're a male.

Both stories have unique dialogues and cutscenes. Your female elf will be a victim of Vaughan Urien. This will take you to the palace forcing you to find your way out and save the rest of the elves that are with you. The male elf on the other hand will be the one to save Nesiara and the rest from the castle. You will have to find your way in. Both will have Soris to help you through. The biggest difference lies in the fact that the female elf will not be able to stand for Nelaros, he will die irreparably. Instead, the male elf will save Nesiara although the marriage won't take place in any of the stories.

How to get this romance:

You just have to pick the city elf background story. This romance is not an option, it will happen like it or not since it's part of the origin of the city elf.

7. Anora

Nobody likes Anora but if you're trying to reach the crown with a human male noble, she's useful. This romance lacks pretty much everything. No passion, no tenderness, no hugs, no sex scene. It's all about titles and alliances. A boring choice if you ask me. Besides she loved Cailan and keeps loving him even when you already purposed to her. Keep in mind it's a convenience romance and not a love story.

How to get this romance:

Anora will be available close to the end of the game when you reach the Landsmeet. This romance will only be available to a male human noble. No other origin or class can reach the throne.

Everything you have to do is support her for the throne instead of Alistair or yourself. When the Landsmeet is taking place you must not kill Loghain. This will have consequences that you may not like. Be wise.

To marry Anora you must not die. There's a chance for you to die at the very end, avoid this by taking part in the dark ritual. You will only get to see a romantic interaction at Awakening. If you die Anora will never get to marry you.

6. Cammen or Gheyna

Oh my, this romance is so wrong in every possible way. Cammen and Gheyna are two young dalish elves. Cammen wants to marry Gheyna but she refuses it because he's not an official hunter but an apprentice. There are several options on how to twist the story. The simple one is to just help Cammen and persuade Gheyna to marry him without doing anything worthy of judgment. Then there's the fun path.

You can bed Gheyna as a male or Cammen as a female. Gheyna will have a relaxed and funny response. Cammen on the other hand will not want to talk to you anymore, he certainly feels dirty. You can also choose to interfere and spoil Cammen's dream to marry Gheyna. It is your choice, they will still marry if you don't mention the sex part. Depending on your choices the cutscenes will change drastically as well as your companions' reactions.

How to get this romance:

Make sure you do this quest before Nature of the Beast. Otherwise, you'll lose it.

You'll have to get to the Dalish Camp first. There find Cammen to unlock the "Cammens Lament" quest. Persuade/intimidate him to get the quest.

To romance them you shall seduce Gheyna as a male or persuade Cammen to sleep with the female warden. To pass the persuasion check you will need 35+ Cunning. Gheyna will not require any stats.

5. Gorim

This is one of my favorite love stories in Origins. Gorim is excellent. He has been raised to be your second which means he has been your whole life by your side. He's a comforting companion, the most loyal one. He will even lose everything to support you. If you're a lady you will understand when I say Gorim should have been an option for marriage. Sadly he's not and neither you can recruit him after you leave Orzammar. This is such a waste of a great character. Gorim is the fittest for the female dwarf but will leave a sad feeling if you're sensitive like me.

How to get this romance:

Everything you need is to be a female noble dwarf and make the right choices when you're speaking to Gorim. You will naturally know which ones are the romantic options. He's obviously into the Aeducans girl so it's pretty easy to unlock his romance.

4. Leliana

Ahá. The pure girl who's not that pure. Leliana is one of the most important characters in the dragon age series and might be the one with the deepest story. She's a rogue who went from being a thief and an assassin to a lay sister in the Chantry of Lothering. She's very, very talkative. You'll have a lot of time to spend with her if you like chatting. She's also a bard thus she will have thousands of stories to tell.

I have never liked Leliana's romance because she's a little bit too intense about her religion. Will never stop talking about the maker. It makes me feel weird since we all know Leliana is no saint. But if you like her, I'm here to help.

She's a sweet girl, a hopeless romantic. She will treat you nicely. Leliana will demand exclusivity, you can fool her for some time if you wish but she will find out sooner or later if you're cheating. This romance is like dating a poet. She's very passionate and tender.

How to get this romance:

She's bisexual so don't worry about your characters gender. The lesbian romance is particularly beautiful if you like Leliana.

The thing here is she requires a lot of talking. You also have to be aligned with her values and beliefs. If you disagree with her, if you don't respect her wishes you won't get enough approval points. Romancing her is not the hard part, the hard part is to keep the romance without having troubles. Be careful with what you decide to do with the sacred ashes. If you do something wrong with them you will lose Leliana one way or another. She will know even if she's not part of the party when completing the quest.

After you've done all the talking and gained enough approval points you can start with the real action. If the talking went bad you can try your chances with the gifts such as the grace of Andraste. My personal favorite is the nug. This one will be available at Orzammar.

Approval points will be enough to unlock the romance, you can flirt with her meanwhile. She will be bound to you anyways. I have romanced her many times by mistake because there where I was thinking I was just being nice she was taking it romantically. She will flirt with you naturally once you have gained enough approval points.

When she tells you this "you are our leader and my friend and sometimes I think that maybe we can be more than that" the romance will be open. Choose your answers in the following order: 2 - 1 - 2 - 3.

To unlock the sex cutscenes wait for the dialogue where she says she wants to go to bed cause she's too tired. Choose your answers in the following order: 2 - 2 - (any will work) - 1 or 2.

At the end of the game, she will stick around you.

3. Zevran

Here's for the elven fans. Our dirty-minded elf might be nasty but he's certainly charming. The type of seductive man that will convince you with the lingo. You see antivans have this sex appeal that will catch you if you're all about freedom and fun.

He's pretty much the elf-male version of Isabella but far more seductive. Zevran's romance isn't as deep as the rest. There won't be much drama, he's not complicated at all. If you're just chilling and want to take things to the fun part, this is your choice. Although it might seem like he's not really into you, he is. He will prove himself worthy. Behind the horny elf, there's a romantic side of Zevran to be discovered.

How to get this romance:

Zevran is bisexual just like Leliana. He's the most neutral party member meaning you shouldn't have difficulties. Don't be rude to him or his past. Don't rush on reaching 100% approval, it will lead him to not have sex with you. Take it easy as it is.

The romance will be activated with the following answer "I'm happy to have you along". This will be within the Crows conversation. Then you have to flirt every time you get a chance. At 23+ approval you will have the choice to become his lover. As far as you don't push the sex he will fall in love with you and will prove to be the most loyal companion.

2. Alistair

A cute little boy always crying around. He's not my type but he is the favorite of DAO players. He's a cinnamon roll. The sweetest awkward child with an intense romantic side. He's all about innocence and good jokes. I think he lacks maturity and that's why I don't prefer him but if you're someone who likes to take care of others, then this is your way to go.

The decisions you take during the romance will have an important impact on the story of Origins and the following games. If you're focused on Origins, Alistair is the most important character. You'll have to decide wisely how to approach him. Whether you want to make him tough to fit the crown or keep him as the baby boy he is to continue as a warden. Romance will be especially important for him, so be careful. Remember he is the most romantic partner in Origins. This means he will bond with you strongly.

How to get this romance:

Alistair is a heterosexual character. He won't date you if you're male. I recommend a human noble if you want to access royalty by marrying him.

I consider Alistair the easiest romance of them all. Many times I've romanced him by mistake. Whenever I thought I was just being nice, he will take it romanticly. It seems he's looking for that kind of bond, maybe a little desperate for someone to hold onto. You just have to pick the fun dialogues and agree with him. Do not say anything rude since this will cause him to disapprove and consequently he won't give you the chance to romance him.

Alistair's quest will be determinant for his future reactions. To activate the romance be sure to pick this response "I care about you. More than you know." whenever the mission is over. To harden him pick the following "Everyone is out for themselves. You should learn that.". Later on, you'll be able to marry him or not.

1. Morrigan

The cold, heartbreaker witch with an attitude. Yes, of course. Romancing Morrigan is a wonderful way to go. Not only she is extremely useful with the information she provides but it's also the most entertaining romance. She's full of interesting stories and different perspectives. She seems bitter at the beginning, but trust me, she's a sweet girl.

A little bit of drama, confusing love, tenderness, and dirty looks. That is what Morrigan is all about. The greatest part of this romance is that you get to meet with her again at Witch Hunt. Depending on the choices you make, you can follow her through the Eluvian. If you do so, it will continue in Inquisition. It gets very interesting since she is a mystery and will keep everything she does a secret. So if you want to find out how the Warden does in this intriguing path, go ahead. You will have no regrets.

How to get this romance:

First of all, I recommend you choose a human noble. She will prefer this for the dark ritual.

Morrigan might be a little hard to handle. She's not seeking love and she does not believe it is worth her time. You must convince her that you're worth it.

Start with not contradicting her, and try to be friendly. I know this might be hard because sometimes she gets difficult. But it pays back. Talk to her as much as you can, and ask her everything without judgment. Once you have reached a considerable amount of "approval" the kissing option will be unlocked. Be careful not to lose the approval points at missions she might not agree with. For this, you must know her very well.

There are two important gifts for Morrigan: Flemeth's grimoire and the golden mirror. With the grimoire, you will unlock Morrigan's quest. She will ask you to kill her mother, you must.

After that, the romance should be settled. She will not take a third party so don't play her.

Perform the dark ritual and let her go. You will be able to chase her during Witch Hunt. There you can choose to follow her through the Eluvian or not. I recommend following her to keep it interesting. Then you shall see the results at Inquisition.

While it’s not something you have to do, befriending, dating, and eventually marrying one of the 12 marriage candidates is a feature to look forward to in Stardew Valley. With the bachelors and bachelorettes varying in looks and personalities, there’s someone out there for everyone. When it comes to the potential wives, though, you want to make sure you’re picking someone you’ll match with. Here, I’ve compiled a list of who I think is the best woman to marry in Stardew Valley, starting from my least favorite to the best.

6. Haley

Haley is at the bottom of my list solely because of our first encounter with her. The first time you talk to her, she calls you ugly to your face. Not cool. Since then, I avoid even looking at her if I can control it. Every time I mention that I refuse to give Haley the time of day, people tell me that she gets better, and I do believe them. But first impressions are important, and Haley definitely failed that test. Maybe one day I’ll stop pouting over her constantly ignoring me and laughing at my outfits and give her another chance.

Haley Pros

She’s drop-dead gorgeous. Seriously. Her portrait is one of the only ones I really like.
She really does come around once you get to know her. I complain and tease, but once she drops the act, she can be pretty cool.
Her gifts aren’t hard to get. She likes daffodils and loves coconuts.

Haley Cons

Her attitude. Truly, that first impression is terrible.
Her personality; at least at first. She’s snotty, spoiled, and hard to please.
It takes a while for her to start being kind to you, so you’ll have to put up with verbal abuse for quite some time.

Choose Haley if…

You like the idea of having to win over the “spoiled brat.”
You want to watch her grow personality-wise.
You just want the prettiest wife…no shame in that.

5. Maru

Maru is often overlooked as she lives up in the mountains and is usually either working with Harvey in his clinic, doing research with her father, or working on a new invention in her room. She’s an intelligent woman who is passionate about her work, and if you can get past her overbearing father, she’s wonderful to date.

There’s something sweet about how dorky she can be.
Her passion about her inventions and projects is extremely admirable.
Her intelligence is another admirable aspect…and she’s adorable!

Maru Cons

Her gifts aren’t the easiest to obtain, as some of her favorites are battery packs and strawberries.
Her father may turn you off immediately—he’s in the first heart event and can be kind of scary.
Some may see that she keeps to herself at first, and may not like that too much.

Choose Maru if…

You like a little challenge (in terms of gift giving, anyway).
You’re willing to be just as passionate about her projects as she is.
You wouldn’t mind having an excitable yet socially awkward person in your life.

4. Abigail

Abigail is a relatable, adventurous, and all-in-all interesting woman and spouse. She’s a fan favorite, and while she isn’t mine, I still can’t deny that there’s something to love about Abigail. Her heart events are fun and interactive, and she’s overall fun to hang around with.

To reiterate, her heart events are fun! For one, you get to actually play a game with her.
She’s a quirky rock girl who some might say likes rocks a little too much… (if you know you know).
Her life story is quite interesting if you read between the lines.

Abigail Cons

She can be a little snappy at times, but then again, who isn’t?
Some people are weirded out by the fact that she canonically eats rocks.
Some people may say she’s overrated, but that’s up to you to decide.

Choose Abigail if…

You’re down for a fun adventure, both in her personality and her story.
You want to marry someone you’ll definitely be able to relate to.
You like spunky looking characters. She’s great.

3. Leah

Leah is a creative, artsy woman who lives in the woods…what more can one ask for? She’s cool, independent, and affectionate through her art in some of the sweetest ways possible. Her heart events reveal a lot about her past, including an ex, and it’s fun getting to know all sides of her.

Her gifts are extremely easy. She’ll take just about any foragable you have…including driftwood.
Her artistic side and love of nature align perfectly with your farm life.

She can be kind of hard to run into if you don’t know her schedule that well.
While she’s affectionate, sometimes it doesn’t feel like there’s much romance.
Her backstory may bore you.

Choose Leah if…

You’ve always fantasized about living in a cottage in the woods with your one true love (This doesn’t technically happen since she moves in with you, but if you use your imagination…).
You love art just as much as she does!
Nature makes your soul flutter.

She’s dedicated to giving children an education.
There’s a lot to her heart events, and there are certain things you can do for her in the future that feel meaningful as her spouse.
She’s always happy to have more serious conversations and think about life, if you're into that sort of thing.

Sometimes she can come off as the “damsel in distress” who needs saving from her mother, which isn’t for everyone.
She has serious conversations and thinks a lot about life…sometimes people don’t like that.
Sometimes her anxiety can be overwhelming, especially if you deal with anxiety yourself.

You love children just as much as she does.
You don’t mind her anxious, sometimes overwhelmed personality.
