No need to say this precious game is getting old. To make it less obvious, there are tons of mods you can download to fix bugs, re-texture, and other fancy stuff. Here I'll be introducing you to the best 20 mods you can use to improve your experience. I must warn you, there are spoilers in this list. If you haven't played the game yet, I would just recommend using the bug fix, texture, hairstyle, and no helmet mods. Otherwise, you will get a very different experience than the one intended by the original game.

20. Skip the Fade

If you dislike going through the fade you can use this mod to skip it. It will teleport you to your companion's nightmares after defeating Duncan. If you complete all your companion quests, you will be teleported to the Sloth Demon. An effective and fast way to pass the fade. You still get all the experience, attribute points, and codex entries meant to be in the fade. Skip the Fade does what promises. And to be honest, the Fade can be a little tricky and annoying if you dislike puzzles.

If you haven't played this quest yet, I don't recommend using this mod. I don't recommend skipping any part of the game, at least not during your first playthrough.

Skip the Fade is fun because:

The Fade is a long labyrinth. This mode allows you to just get into the fun part.
You can skip many scenarios that aren’t relevant to the main story. Once you’ve already been in the Fade, next time you do notice how boring can be. There aren’t dialogues or anything important to the mission which is just getting to the demon.
The mode is fundamental for those players that enjoy going through several campaigns. Like any other puzzle, once you’ve already solved it, it’s no longer entertaining. It gets repetitive and pointless.

19. No helmet

Have you felt awkward and ugly wearing that helmet that doesn't match your beautiful outfit? Most of the times the helmet is there only for the stats. It's very weird to find a nice helmet so the easiest solution is no helmet at all.

In the rest of the Dragon Age series, there is a setting that allows the player to enable or disable the helmet while keeping the stats. In Origins, we have this mod instead. It will give the item "No helmet Rule Book" for you to use whenever you want to hide or unhide the helmets of your character and companions. I recommend this mod since the helmets have always felt off in Dragon Age. The designs are pretty ugly and some of them hide the faces of our characters. We want to see our character's face not an ugly helmet, right?

Why the No Helmet mod is fun?

It should have been a feature in the base game. Simply because of this.
The helmet designs aren’t visually exciting. I’ll rather see my character's face which I spent much time creating.
It’s very simple to use and you can disable it anytime you want.

18. Improved Atmosphere

For veteran players, this mod is a must-have. It makes the game much more immersive. There are tons of features inside this mod. From bug fixes to adding new interactions between your party members. It also adds new color tints and items for the NPCs and your party.

It is divided into modules that contain different sets of changes. This means you can remove any module that you dislike which allows the player to get a personalized experience. It's a little bit hard to understand if you're not an experienced modder. It might be confusing due to the amount of information it can have. But for those who already know, this is a perfect mod and you should have it.

Why the Improved Atmosphere is fun:

This mod will give a realistic feeling of the NPC's actions and your surroundings.
The base game is ok but with this mod, you will make it way better. You can mold it to your preferences.
The immersive feeling is very important for Dragon Age. The fact that this mod makes it better is priceless.

17. Lock Bash

People who have followed the game series know this mod should be part of the game. It allows you to force open locked chests and doors. The mod can be played according to your class and stats or not at all. This means you can open the chests (and doors) that your skill allows you to, otherwise, you have a probability of breaking the items.

It also adds the great feature of automatically commanding your rogue to open chests or doors by just clicking the objective. No need of switching to them anymore.

It's another mod that should have been part of the base game. Highly recommended to every player.

Lock Bash is fun because:

It makes the game more comfortable since you no longer have to take a rogue on your party only because you need to open a chest. Now you're free!
It allows you to play with the settings according to your preferences. If you want to you can just open the chests without any skills or risk.
It saves so much time on something that is not relevant at all. Opening chests and doors should be a skill that anybody can learn, not only rogues. It makes more sense to break a lock with a sword than not being able to open it at all.

16. Madd Gift Guide

Spoiler alert! The mod will give a name in the description of the item. This will tell to whom the gift belongs. If you don't want to know because it's your first time playing, just don't use it. You will get items for companions that aren't yet part of the party.

You can still collect the gifts and use the mod whenever you completed the party. It is very helpful since you won't be second-guessing that Silver Chain and failing the right companion.

Indeed, it takes away the feeling of "understanding" you must have from your party members. You can naturally understand for whom are the gifts.

The Madd Gift Guide is fun because:

The gifts are too many and this will allow you not to fail a single one.
You can do whatever you want. Make them mad because you’re giving them the wrong gift on purpose or make them happy and earn their approval.
You won’t have to spend so much time focusing on their words and preferences to know which is the right gift. Sometimes is hard to remember.

15. Hairstyle Day / Simplicity Hairs

Both mods are a great addition. The base options for hairstyles aren't fun enough. These mods change the whole spectrum of possible character designs. Just like tattoo or armor mods. I chose to focus on hairstyle because I believe it gives a huge sense of personality to your warden.

On Hairstyle Day you get some accessories addition. There's also a Hairstyle Day 2 mod, you can use both to make it even funnier.

Why Hairstyle Day and Simplicity Haris are fun:

The two mods are incredible. Very beautiful and complete. The base game doesn’t have a lot of options to design your character. With these mods creating your character is way better.
The options in the game aren’t very attractive. I like two or three hairstyles and the rest are quite ugly. With these mods, your character will no longer look like a homeless person.
Female hairstyles are the prettiest I’ve seen so far. You might find other hairstyle mods but these two are perfect. I promise you won’t need any other.

14. Dragon Age Class and Specialization Pack

The mod will add several new classes and specializations, and a massive amount of spells for each class. You can choose which specializations you want to see in the game. Amazing mod for old players that have already made their 5 or more playthroughs. If you're new I don't recommend it since it might be too overwhelming.

If you’re a veteran player and you’ve already tried everything the base game offers, you will love this mod.
It adds new characteristics and unique playthroughs for you to discover.

13. Elvhenan Weapons v2_0 / Jojjo's Weapons

These are probably my favorite weapon mods for Origins. There aren't many crazy weapon designs for Origins but these will do a great job.

The Elvhenan Weapons mod will add two swords and a pair of daggers. Fascinating stuff.

Jojjo's Weapons will add all the weapons shown in the image. Nice dark design but be careful, the weapons are extremely overpowered. It will change the game experience. I'll rather not change it that way.

Why these mods are fun:

The weapons are elegant. They add a very nice feeling to your warden's visuals.
The base game has a lot of weapon options but in the end, the ones we end up using are always the same. To widen the spectrum this is fantastic.
You can play the game in Nightmare difficulty and it will be a piece of cake.

12. The Phoenix Armory for Females

A very soothing set of weapons and armor for female rogues. It works for humans, elves, and dwarfs. The mod adds the following weapons and features:

Twin Phoenix Claw Daggers and their superior versions.
Phoenix Eye Bow and its superior version.
Phoenix Arrows
Phoenix-Recruit Armor
Phoenix-Scout Armor
Phoenix-Battlemaiden Armor
Phoenix-Matriarch Armor
Custom Weapons and Armor meshes (incorporated slightly modified version of the Slender Light Armor Form mod, and modified version of the Heavy Armor set)
Includes all LOD (level of detail) models and textures

Not recommended for people that are new at modding! You will have to carefully read the instructions to understand how it works. There is some customization work behind it.

Why the Phoenix Armory for Females is fun:

The features are visually beautiful. It will make your rogue look like a badass.
The sets of armor and weapons in the base game are pretty boring. It gets repetitive and the design isn’t as creative. This one will take care of that and more.
Rogues are somehow the forgotten class in DAO. With this mod, you will make your rogue shine on the battlefield.

11. ZDF Dialog Fix

A must-have for immersion's sake. It fixes dialogue errors with Zevran, Alistair, Isabella, Leliana, Cullen, and many others. It adds 9 completely new features. Among them is the feature that makes Loghain your friend, which enables friendly dialog triggers. I couldn't add the many changes this mod gives to the game but kindly check the list provided by the creator in the link below. It's quite long, take your time!

Why the ZDF Dialog Fix mod is fun:

The effort put into it is huge. I appreciate this kind of mod because it improves completely the game experience.
It adds new scenarios and dialogues with Loghain which is just wonderful.

10. CC Extra Tints and Tones

For the fans of the character design. For those who spend half an hour designing the perfect character for each campaign. This is for you.

It compiles 11 new skin tones. 14 eye tints, and 11 hair tints. The main feature is the option of the color white for the tattoos.

Why CC Extra Tints and Tones mod is fun:

The base game doesn’t have so many options for character design. This changes the limitations a bit allowing you to create a better character.
Tattoos are always fun. I love having my characters with tattooed skin, if you’re like me you can’t skip this one!
Being able to make a crazy design is something nobody should stop us from doing. This mod enables that chance.

9. Extra Dog Slot

This allows you to always have your Mabari as part of the party. It gives you a whistle as an item in your inventory. This can be used to order the dog to leave the party or to call him back. All dialog options and abilities involving the dog will still work. So be not afraid to try, it's very useful to have the Mabari over in all your campaigns.

8. Flash Creatures Rescale

Please keep in mind that this mod requires the Improved Atmosphere mod. This one changes the stats of the enemies according to the lore ranks. These are carefully assigned by the creature's species and proficiency in combat. There are 6 ranks that start from Easy to Elite Boss. You can also decrease the HP of all characters to make the battles realistic. Another optional feature is increasing the potion cooldown and to decrease the steal cooldown.

Why the Flash Creatures Rescale mod is fun:

Dragon Age Origins is not well balanced, this fixes that and adds higher levels of difficulty.
Recommended for new and old players. It will change drastically the experience compared to the base game.

Ok, I know this mod isn't relevant. But I can't stand the fact of having a limited inventory. I never play my campaigns without this mod. Especially recommended for those who like to collect mods that add inventory items. Many of them are on this list so you will need the expanded inventory.

Why the Expanded Inventory is fun:

This one is just necessary. Also a personal recommendation to all of you.
The inventory in the base game is too little. You will no longer have to be dealing with this.
No more eliminating items to collect new ones!

6. Qwinn's Ultimate DAO Fixpack v3.52

It takes care of more than 850 bugs including dialogue, quest, scripting, plot, and item bugs in the base game. Recommended for all players, it will improve your experience in the game.

This is another must-have! It makes the gameplay much more enjoyable by fixing the many bugs the game has.
DAO is an old game so it won’t receive fixes. That is no longer important because the community fixed the problem with this mod.

5. Dragon Age Redesigned

This mod makes some huge design improvements. It changes character designs, textures, and lighting to make it look realistic. I love this mod since it changes the clone effect that most characters in Dragon Age have. They all have the same eye model and expression.

It also has a version of Dragon Age 2 that I recommend if you're playing it.

The mod will make NPCs' faces entirely different from each other giving a more realistic feeling.
It also works for all DLCs!
DAO designs can get a bit boring once you’ve already experienced the game. This mod makes it a new experience you shouldn’t miss.

4. JB3textures

This pack of textures will improve the visuals of the game entirely. Please do expect it to be heavier than the base game. The textures need more VRAM and RAM than the game's default textures. Keep this in mind before installing.

Some landscapes in the game look too simple, with this mod it will no longer be that way.

This is the best mod from this list. It adds a new quest at Denerim. Very entertaining and unique with its films and fully-voiced characters. It's a 30 to 60 minutes experience worth your while if you enjoy this game and want to make it even longer. The decisions you take in this quest will afflict your main campaign and vice versa. The decisions you took on your main campaign will affect the behavior of your party in the mod.

The mere effort in creating this mod is crazy. Just imagine creating your quest for Dragon Age. Amazing!
If you’re in for a new experience you should give it a try. It’s very well done.

Even with the recent updates in the Sims 4, toddlers still don’t have a crib and are all around lacking. PandaSama once again saves the day with her newest mod, Playful Toddler Pack.

This mod gives you a toddler food truck, a toddler crib, play dough, and a toddler car track for your toddlers to play on. Each item has new moodlets that are attached to each item.

The biggest thing to note with this mod is some glitches with the toddler crib. This glitch happens if you bathe the toddler, let them play in the kiddy pool, or slide; they will teleport back to the crib.

Another thing is that if you want your sim to read to the toddler, you will need to put a chair near the crib. The adult will sit next to their toddler and start reading them to sleep.

13. Height Slider

Sometimes you just need to be able to be a short sim or even a tall sim.

Everyone isn't the same height. You need to have those to reach the top and lower shelves after all.

While creating your sims, you may notice that they all have the same height from teens to elders. With the Height Slider mod, you can make someone who may be your size.

You have presets and a slider for the height. Besides your sim's stature, you can change their neck's height, and play with the shape of their hips.

There will be a clipping issue with hugging, kissing, etc. Or your sims hug each other from across the room.

Guess you could officially state your sim can have awkward hugs with another like in life. All you need for this mod to work is the base game.

As your pre-war character steps out from Vault 111, it’d be insane for them to not want the best protection available to keep their head attached as they look for their missing son.

Luckily, Bethesda is generous enough to provide you with a suit of power armor fairly early into the game, complete with a minigun to turn your enemies into a beehive. They’ve gone above and beyond to make the power armor feel like an absolute beast as you trek your way across the destroyed streets of Boston.

However, Bethesda being Bethesda, they’re not exactly the best when it comes to making life easy for the players. Fallout 4’s power armor could stand to have a few more tweaks and improvements to make things much more fun. Thankfully, we’ve got modders to save the day.

Here are the 10 best mods for power armor that are absolutely essential when doing a power armor playthrough.

10. Power Armor Animation Changes

Suit up, soldier.

A staggering difference between vanilla animation and mod animation.

The slow and clunky power armor brings a nice touch of realism and immersion to the world of Fallout 4. But, while that’s all nice and dandy, the obscenely slow animation of entering and exiting the power armor kinda gets annoying after the 5th time. A faster animation does exist in the game files, but Bethesda decided to lock that animation only for when you are in combat.

Power Armor Animation Change by somberX fixes this issue by making the faster entry and exit animation the default for every situation, even outside of combat. The difference is like night and day. The vanilla animation takes roughly 15 seconds to get in and out of the power armor. Meanwhile, this mod cuts that time by half, getting in and out in only 7 seconds.

And if that’s not fast enough for you, this mod also provides an instant entry and exit animation. This one kinda warps you through the armor’s back so you will be sacrificing immersion for this. I still believe the “Fast” animation is what everyone should go for. It strikes the perfect balance of immersion and quality of life and it’s absolutely essential for power armor players.

P.A.M.S - Power Armor Movement Sounds by ONIXer is a wonderful little audio mod that changes the bland noise of your power armor to something much more heavy and metallic. You can definitely feel the power coursing through your ears with every step you take.

The mod comes with a few variations to fit your preference. PAMS Heavy changes the sound to be much heavier and weighty. Light is somewhere in the middle of vanilla and heavy. As for me, I prefer the light version. The heavy version can be a bit distracting to gameplay sometimes. There are also versions that add hydraulics or robotics sounds if that’s your preference.

The paint and material mod are now two separate modifiable slots.

Now you can have decent protection while having a hot-rod paint job.

I don’t know what was going through Bethesda’s mind when they decided to put the material and paint modifications on the same slot. Logically speaking, you should be able to paint the power armor after lining it with your desired material. We all just want to pimp our power armor without gimping its stats, Bethesda. What’s so wrong with that?

Thankfully, a mod author by the name of Mcgan also shared my frustration. His mod, Power Armor Material AND Paint (PAMAP) works simply to separate the material and paint, giving each their own slot. Now you too can don your Hot Rod-themed power armor without sacrificing your defense from explosions.

This is a simple, yet excellent mod and is a must-have for any power armor enthusiast.

7. Power Armor HoloHUD

A more compact and less intrusive power armor HUD.

Fallout 4’s power armor HUD is strange. During the day, it’s transparent (for whatever reason) and at night, the HUD is solid in color. This odd inconsistency is not only distracting and immersion-breaking, but it also blocks a huge chunk of the screen with that ugly HUD. Of course, some people like the aesthetic which I get. But for me personally, I much prefer a cleaner and more compact HUD when I’m wearing my power armor.

Power Armor HoloHUD by maximluppov aims to do just that. The mod takes away the metallic look of the HUD and rearranges the various dials to make it as compact as possible, allowing for a better view of your surroundings.

If you’re like me and use immersive HUD in your gameplay, then this is a great mod to complement it. I, for one, can’t play Fallout 4 with the HUD turned on anymore. You start to realize just how distracting the HUD is whenever you want to soak in the scenery.

6. Take Your Cores

The fusion core transferred from the power armor to the player's inventory automatically.

Adjust the timing and distance for when you get your fusion core back.

Remember the good ol’ days when your younger sibling would take your 3DS and play with it without permission, so you passive-aggressively hid all of the game cartridges so he won’t be able to play anything on it anymore? Yeah, me neither.

But someone certainly turned that scenario into a mod. Take Your Cores by darkconsole allows you to automatically retrieve the fusion core used after getting out of your power armor. Not only is this mod convenient, but it also prevents NPCs and settlers from wearing your power armor without permission, which is an annoying design choice in itself.

So if you don’t want to see some random settler taking your superexpensive toys and playing with them without your permission, maybe consider getting this mod.

In power armor, you are effectively a walking tank. Every step you take spells death to your enemies. No one in their right mind would ever pick a fight with you...unless you drop from a two-foot ledge in power armor.

This mod by mm137 is a godsend. Realism is important, sure, but it gets really annoying when the entire population of Diamond City decides to open fire because you caused a magnitude 6 earthquake in the middle of town by accident.

This mod disables aggro from non-hostile NPCs when you drop from a ledge that’s a smidge too high. With this mod, you can effectively parkour around the city like a tank on red bull.

This mod by EdmondNoir is one of the best mods if you’re doing a power armor AND Brother of Steel playthrough. Imagine being in a firefight against a group of super mutants and they’re starting to overwhelm you. Just call in a power armor and turn the tides in an instant!

But in all seriousness, this mod is perfect because walking around in your power armor can be slow, tedious, and drain your fusion cores. I play mainly in Survival mode so this is a huge problem for me. Thankfully, this mod fixes all those issues and makes me fall in love with the brotherhood even more. The Hellfire X-03 Power Armor mod by unoctium was inspired by the Enclave’s Hellfire Armor from Fallout 3’s Broken Steel DLC and is one of the most badass looking armor ever. It lives up to its name with its specialized AOE fire (can also be plasma) attack and the pyro-styled helmet.

The power armor presentation itself is very lore-friendly, relating the armor to the Enclave from Fallout 3 as well as its antagonist. If you’re a fan of the Enclave or tired of the X-01 power armor, then I highly recommend getting this mod.

Find the armor abandoned in a secret location full of enemies and dangers.

At first, I was going to put the Hellfire X-03 Power Armor above the X-02, but this new take on the Enclave’s X-02 Power Armor by C1ph3rr is just so good, I had no choice but to put it in 2nd place. This is, in my opinion, the best version of the Enclave X-02 power armor mods and it shows. It really shows.

The Enclave X-02 Power Armor codenamed: “Black Devil” lives up to its name with the absolutely gorgeous, yet absolutely menacing design. The armor itself is inspired by the Enclave’s power armor from Fallout 3; so again, if you like the Enclave or want a new power armor in your roster, this is the one to get.

The mod comes with the Tesla version of the armor to add the energy-infused feel for those maining energy weapons. The textures of the power armor are crisp and detailed and are definitely one of the best-looking power armor mods out there.

Get this power armor if you like to:

Roleplay as a secret Enclave soldier
Be the devil roaming the streets of Boston
Be Batman.

1. Excavator Power Armor

Just look at this absolute unit of a power armor.

Find both versions aptly hidden within the quarries of the Commonwealth.

Fallout 76 may not have been the greatest game to have come out from Bethesda’s game factory, but goddamnit, they’ve got some real sick power armor designs. In my opinion, one of the best unique-looking power armor from Fallout 76 is definitely the Excavator Power Armor.

Developed by newermind43, this mod brings the Excavator Power Armor from Appalachia to the Commonwealth along with its glorious construction-themed design. While the X-03 and the X-02 were cool and badass, the Excavator Power Armor just feels different. Instead of feeling like Batman or a pyro from hell, you instead feel like a bulldozer just ramming your way through hordes of Commonwealth scum.

The mod author did a great job in bringing this power armor to Fallout 4 by building it from the ground up. This is a very high-quality mod and I highly recommend it to anyone who’s planning to go for a power armor playthrough and settlement building (cause it just makes sense).

Devil May Cry 5 Ten Great Crossover Skin Mods

Devil May Cry 5 has been out for over a year now, and in that time, people have created some amazing mods for the game. This includes gameplay changes, alternate effects for attacks, weapon skins and even an alternate playable character! For this list we will look at 10 mods that change one of more of the characters into characters from other well known series.

Death Note

V made a deal with a Shinigami

This mod will turn V’s book into the Death Note from the anime with the same name. While this mod isn’t nearly as involved as the others in this list, it’s great seeing V hold a book with so much power (while wishing you could write the names of some demons in there to get rid of them quickly).

Star Wars

V has mastered the Force

Want more Star Wars in your game? With this mod, V will dress up like Star Wars’ Kylo Ren. There’s a couple of options with this mod, letting you also replace his cane with Kylo’s lightsaber (either a red or purple version).

NieR: Automata

2B goes from fighting machines to demons

This is a mod for Vergil. In it, he becomes 2B from NieR: Automata. It includes a Devil Trigger form as well, which turns 2B’s dress white. Sadly, this mod doesn’t include any kind of voice or weapon changes, but it’s a nice mod if you want to see 2B slaying demons!

Iron Man

Dante suits up for his battle against the demons

This is a great mod for Marvel fans. Dante wears the Iron Man armor for this one, and they did a great job creating it. Not only is it a very accurate look of the armor, but they added lightning effects to his eyes and power source, and you can see light reflections off his armor.

Gambit

He can’t make items explode, but he can still fight

Another Marvel mod, this one turns Nero into Gambit. This includes not only his outfit, but also Gambit’s eyes and hair. As an extra bonus the Red Queen turns into a staff! All that’s missing are some cards to throw.

FFXV Noctis

The Prince of Lucis will save the world again

This mod brings a little of the FFXV world to DMC. In it, Nero becomes Noctis, and it comes with options for his hair. You can choose to give Nero his or Noctis’s hair, and additionally make either style white or black.

You can pair this with the Engine Blade mod to get a full Noctis experience!

Resident Evil 2

HUNK and Tofu are ready to hunt demons!

This pack brings two characters from the Resident Evil 2 Remake’s 4th Survivor mode; HUNK and Tofu. Dante uses the HUNK outfit, which also changes his Devil Trigger and changes Dr. Faust into a racoon, and Nero becomes Tofu, giving him a new Devil Trigger as well.

There are other options for RE2 as well if you don’t want to use these. This includes a ’98 Leon model for Dante, and a RPD uniform for Nero.

Halo

Master Chief has a new energy sword

This is an amazing mod if you’re a fan of the Halo series, especially the first game. Dante becomes Master Chief from the original game, and all of his weapons change with it. This includes things like the Assault Rifle over Rebellion, Ghost over the Cavaliere and much more, all with original Xbox models!

Spawn

From hell to the demon realm

This is the newest mod on this list, but also one of the most detailed. This is a mod for Dante that turns him into Spawn from Image Comics, but also comes with a lot of other changes. For one, it changes most of Dante’s weapons to match with Spawn, and changes some of the sound effects as well.

On top of that, the mod also changes Urizen’s third form in Malebolgia from the Spawn comics. Overall this is a great mod for fans of this character!

Metal Gear Rising

The cyborgs team up against the demons

This mod brings together skins for Dante, Nero and Vergil, as well as other additions. The MGR pack Turns Dante into Gray Fox, Vergil into Jetstream Sam, and Nero into Raiden, all from Metal Gear Rising. In addition to the outfits, several weapons from all three characters are changed, as well as many of the sound effects.

If you don’t want to use the whole set, you can pick and choose which characters you want to change, or which weapons you want swapped.

You can combine any of these mods with any of the other many mods people have made, and give yourself a fresh experience with Devil May Cry 5!

Minecraft recently passed its 10 year anniversary as many users have faithfully played since its launch. On average, each player spends over 750 hours playing Minecraft in their lifetime! At some point, the same old routine of killing mobs, gathering wood, and building homes gets old. The Minecraft community have realized this so they developed modpacks at your disposal to make the game more interesting. Keep reading to hear about some of the community’s best creations!

1. OptiFine

Take a look at these graphics!

OptiFine is a god-send for all Minecraft players who cannot afford a top-tier gaming device. It allows the game to run significantly smoother no matter the age, model, or brand of computer you use. It also includes high-quality textures and a bunch of animations that are not in the vanilla version.

OptiFine’s Features:

You will see an FPS boost. OptiFine reduces lag spikes and polishes gameplay, which may double the FPS your device is capable of supporting. The mod includes 34 animation and detail options, allowing you to turn on or off specific visual effects of your choosing that may increase FPS further.
OptiFine supports HD textures. These give you the chance to install resource packs and experience them to the fullest. From custom lighting to custom font characters, this mod covers every visual effect a player is looking for. OptiFine increases your device’s render distances as well. This allows you to see even more of the beautiful textures you have installed.
The most underrated feature of OptiFine is the ability to zoom in and out with a press of a button. You can now see up to 3x further in your creative and survival worlds. This may make your gaming experience much more pleasurable. Make sure to use this feature to look for creepers on the way to your base!
OptiFine gives you the option to alter how the day cycle changes. You are given three options: default (night and day), day only, or night only. Choose your preference and live in your customized world! Sadly, this feature is currently only available in creative mode and is impossible to be used by those of you who aspire to be Bear Grylls .
Shaders are known for their game-crashing effects on Minecraft but OptiFine lets the game fully support the shaders you wish to use. Your builds will look more like eye-candy than a pile of blocks when using a shader pack!

2. Project Ozone 3: A New Way Forward

Project Ozone 3: A New Way Forward adds so much to the game to make Minecraft more exciting. From new quests, mobs and a reward system, it is hard to not have fun with this modpack.

Project Ozone 3’s Features:

1,129 quests have been added to the game. You will go on an insane journey to complete these and gather points. This modpack is great if you have a lot of free time!
A reward system has been put in place so that you will be inspired to complete quests. Each time you accomplish a quest, you will gain these points. These can be used to open different chests that have great rewards!
Tons of new mobs of been put into the game to make your experience more unique. Have you ever been killed by a pink slime? Watch out because in this modpack they are dangerous!
New interactive blocks allow you to build new tools, items, and more! Use cabinets and drawers to store up to 32 stacks of one item; it’s a great sorting tool.
Join online servers and play with others for even more fun. Servers are maintained by faithful players who love all the features. Playing with others might help you enjoy the game more and learn the tricky parts of the mod, too!

3. SevTech: Ages

Awesome storage systems and more are in this modpack!

SevTech: Ages is a huge modpack created to give you a purposeful long-term progression experience that a lot of modpacks don’t offer. As you keep playing, new content continues to be unlocked. You will never get bored playing SevTech: Ages!!

SevTech: Ages’s Features:

Dynamically hidden items and recipes are unlocked based on progress. If you have not unlocked an item, you won’t be able to pick it up or sometimes see it. This feature is both unique and cool.
SevTech ages still has the vanilla advancement system but with new quests. This emphasizes the importance of in-game content. The developers don’t want your the main focus to be completing quests but to be playing Minecraft and building awesome things!
This modpack still lets you have the normal sandbox experience. Some packs bring so much new stuff into the game that you forget what real Minecraft is really like… not SevTech: Ages though! You will still that taste of normal Minecraft that made you fall in love with the game in the first place!]
There are hundreds of custom advancements that unlock new “ages.” This unique progression style unlocks chunks of new items in the game. It is much like real life history as eras continue to change!
There are some new tools, more types of trees, and interactive blocks. This adds another level to the game. You can upgrade your home with the different colors and style of these items.

SkyFactory 4 adds such a huge variety content to Minecraft that you likely won’t ever get to play it all! With new world types, a progression system and unique blocks, there is so much to do when playing with this modpack. Jump in now and see for yourself!

SkyFactory 4’s Features:

There are over 30 world types to choose from when generating a new world. Do you want to play skyblock while surrounded by bedrock? Or maybe play entirely underwater? SkyFactory 4 offers so many creative possibilities to make your world different that you can’t get bored!
Resource trees provide a built-in progression system that lets the player choose the resources they want to produce. This is instead of a randomized system that has been featured in past versions of SkyFactory.
Unlike some of the other modpacks on this list, SkyFactory 4 does not require you to complete quests to get more stuff. There is an optional game mode that does, however, which we will look at next!
A prestige System gives you the chance to unlock new blocks and tools. Prestige points can be gained by finishing advancements in the game by finding, crafting or killing new things. Each time you do this, you can unlock something new!

Life in the Village really makes the village life an important part of Minecraft. What used to be a useful supply of random materials and villagers is now much more! It’s an experience all in itself that is rewarding and enjoyable!

Life in the Village’s Features:

This modpacks is considered Vanilla+ for its close-to-vanilla experience. Despite more crafting options and villager features, the overall feel is close to regular Minecraft. The new and improved village features do not take away from the original game.
There are immersive buildings and settlements that will make you feel like a villager yourself! With new passive mobs, such as deer, butterflies, and birds, it will really feel like you’re in a village lost in the woods.
Simple machinery to process and craft materials have been added to make Minecraft more fun. Spinning windmills and waterwheels are just two of the machines added to the game; use these to craft new food recipes. Other machines have also been brought into the game to double resources and more!
Colonize and find new cultures to help them grow. A reputation system has been added so you can eventually buy a property inside the village! Points are gained by collecting resources for villagers and trading with them. You can even start your own village!
Build an airship to make traveling easier. This cool feature adds a whole new twist to the game. Fly above the clouds for a great view of the villages you have colonized!

This is a great modpack for you if you’re team-oriented and looking to play on a server. Surviving is extremely tough and working with friends and the community will make FTB Interactions even more fun.
FTB Interactions is quest-driven with a long line of achievements ready to be conquered by you. If you enjoy long-term projects, this modpack will keep you entertained for months!
An interactive crafting menu and new crafting blocks simplifies the crafting process. With so much new content, this interface makes searching for recipes much more efficient.'
FTB Interactions will change your playstyle completely. There are new machines, mechanics and goals that shift how you approach the game. If you are looking for something new and exciting, this is the modpack for you.
New tools, blocks, and food sources will make your world different than any other! This modpack contains so many more interactive features than vanilla minecraft. It is almost an entirely different game but I promise you’ll love it!

7. Omnifactory

Mechanisms like this will be all over your Omnifactory builds!

Omnifactory is a modpack filled to the brim with microcrafts. When making it, developers aimed to keep “all of the complexity, [but] none of the grind” in comparison to other technology-deep mods. This modpack is similar to FTB interactions but with a much more subtle early game.

Omnifactory’s Features:

Custom circuits are a big part of Omnifactory. These circuits have complex purposes that really emphasize the role technological features have while playing the modpack. You will use a lot of these so prepare yourself now!
Omnifactory has thousands of quests. These quests act as a step-by-step tutorial to help simplify the modpack, even if you’re a noob. Quests are not required in order to progress but they will be accomplished over time regardless if you use all of the modpack’s features.
Modular machines are very cool and make Omnifactory extremely unique. These large contraptions have various uses, like separating air molecules, generating power, and even simulating universes.
This modpack has its own periodic table. By collecting and combining elements, you can make new ones on your way to crafting the ultimate resource in the game: omnium.
Microminers are a custom mining system developed for Omnifactory. They are tiny ships that when placed in a “microverse projector,” they will go gather resources for you!

8. Antimatter Chemistry

Intricate systems automate your farms and more!

Antimatter Chemistry is a quest and progression based modpack. Here, you are stranded in the “antimatter dimension.” You will have to use your basic starter gear as you attempt to find your way back to the overworld dimension.

Antimatter Chemistry’s Features:

A huge network of quests is at your disposal to help you. These quests teach you the roots of using the complex mods that are in Antimatter Chemistry.
This modpack has difficult recipes and systems you will need to construct. When playing it, everything has to be thought through to avoid bigger mistakes later. This level of strategy is unique in comparison to other modpacks but does make it tougher. This makes it perfect for anyone looking for a challenge!
New interactive blocks are in Antimatter Chemistry. Each has a specific use and placement while you are creating awesome contraptions! You may find watching a youtube series will help guide you through this process.
Craft generators to make resources for you! As you are stranded in the “antimatter dimensions,” there won’t be any cobblestone, wood, dirt, or standard blocks laying around. Use these generators to gather the resources you need to craft mechanisms and build cool objects!
This modpack includes alchemistry, which is a mod designed to break items down into the elements it’s made out of. You can recombine these pure elements in different ways to create new resources and elements!

9. Questing Mayhem

This questbook is just one of two in Questing Mayhem.

Questing Mayhem is designed to suit you whether you are a hardcore or casual player. Quests range in difficulty but there are plenty to go around! These objectives are used to lead you towards awesome things hidden in the modpack that you may find inspiring.

Questing Mayhem’s Features:

82 mods are incorporated in this modpack. Although this is not as many as some of the other modpacks listed in this compilation, all 82 add a lot of content. They all relate to the quests and challenges they provide you; there is so much to do!
There are 2 quest books with a total of 800 quests. These quests are related to every part of the game, including PVP, farming, mining and more! No matter what kind of player you are, you will find quests geared towards you.
Questing Mayhem is advertised as being updated regularly. With each major update, new quests will be added to the game. This adds more variety to your gaming experience!
Look for loot bags across the map by killing any kind of mob. You can find all kinds of goodies in these and they only take up one inventory space!
Make sure to watch your step when running through a swamp! Slimes love to leave puddles scattered throughout the terrain. These can be destroyed by your hand for a slime ball, which undoubtedly will be useful down the road.

10. Awakening - Classic

Download Awakening - Classic and be prepared to find a totally new game! This modpack changes everything; say goodbye to mining those same ores over and over. You’ll have so much fun exploring your worlds and finding new resources everywhere!

Awakening - Classic’s Features:

Over 800 quests are in Awakening - Classic. These quests will keep you busy as you get used to all the different features.
Unique biomes are all over your world! Rivers are wider and can be found underground while caves have been revamped to give you more space to build in them. Let your creative edge flow and recreate these natural scenes into magnificent builds!
Your mining experience will be like nothing you have ever done before. With 96 new mineable blocks (not including new grass, dirt, stone, sand and gravel types), you will never get bored on a mining expedition. Be prepared to need more storage space, though!
Custom dungeons are lurking with new mobs … not only in the overworld but in the nether, too! Every mob in the game has been changed to drop special loot.
New blocks with unique textures are in Awakening - Classic to make your builds look the best they can! There are also mods included that give you interior decorations to give each build a different vibe.
