Since its release, Call of Duty: Cold War has seen some of the most engaging, thrilling, and drama-filled tournaments. With all of the action came some well-crafted weapon classes that are ideal for League Play players. Regardless of the increased limitations of competitive weapon classes, this list compiles some of the best loadouts seen during tournaments that have proven to rack up kills in even the tensest situations.

10. Louqa’s Krig 6 Loadout

Previously a player for Renegades, Louqa has been named Call of Duty Challengers 2021 Asia Pacific - Open #1 MVP.

This loadout opts for higher bullet velocity as it depends on the already low recoil of the base Krig 6.

Shotzzy’s AK47 Loadout is special because it comes from a player that mainly uses the SMG. As a result, the class emphasises speed, allowing the player to run around obliterating opponents left, right, and centre like an SMG but with the firepower of an AR.

Knowing what gun suits your style best is essential for having a good time if you can't help but get competitive while mowing people down in multiplayer lobbies. To help you decide on which gun is best for you, I've compiled a list of the most powerful guns in the game, along with some tips to help you decide whether it's the best gun for you.

10. MG 82

No need to move around when shooting with this big boy

Some of us prefer to be tactical with SMGs and assault rifles, while others salivate at the thought of LMGs mowing down multiple enemies at once. The MG 82 is guaranteed to make everyone on the opposing team scream in rage at their TV screens, with an uncanny rate of fire, a base 90-round mag, and damage that can finish an opponent before they even notice your presence.

The Swiss K31 is a satisfying gun to play with for those of us who enjoy seeing enemies fall with a single well-placed shot. To be honest, I may have a personal bias against this gun because it has been my favorite since its release in Season 5, and it has always been by my side no matter what. The handling is superb, the ADS speed is astounding, and the overpowered damage means that my opponents perish faster than you can say "Look behind you!". This gun is excellent for all game modes and ranks first on this list, thanks to the way it handles gunfights at most ranges without sacrificing mobility in the least.

What the TEC-9 excels at:

Maneuverability is never sacrificed with the TEC-9.
High damage output means quick and easy kills.
With the fast mag, reload times are at a minimum and make you speedier.

When I use dual-wielding guns, I feel like an action hero, and they are the most effective solution to all short-range combat. For all of you that want to feel like an absolute boss when wrecking all enemies, I’ve compiled a ranking of the best pistols to use as Dual Wields with guides on how to unlock them.

5. Magnum

All we need now is a cowboy operator skin to complete the look

A classic revolver with the stopping power of a truck, the Magnum is an excellent choice for those who want to kill their opponents with the fewest rounds possible while also feeling like a cowboy in the Wild West. The Magnum's strength lies in its high damage and penetration, but the high recoil and low muzzle velocity make the double-action revolver weak overall. This weapon is unlocked at rank 31, and the Dual Wield option is available once the weapon reaches level 35.

What the Magnum excels at:

Higher damage means fewer bullets necessary to kill opponents.
Highest range of all pistols due to its high bullet velocity.
Using Dual-Wield can make the gun capable of insta-killing enemies.

Whenever I try to break my previous kill streak record, I've noticed that ADS can often slow me down and make it more difficult to cover all of my sides effectively. In such situations, hipfire builds have become my best friend because they allow me to save precious seconds I would have spent focusing on ADS and instead go straight to shooting.

For those of you who know what I'm talking about, I've compiled a list of the best hipfire guns to use in Cold War for when you just can't be bothered to stand idly and aim at opponents who can't seem to stay in one place long enough.

10. MAC-10

The MAC-10 makes up for its lackluster handling with its rate of fire

Though the MAC-10's recoil and overall damage aren't the best, the insane fire rate compensates for any shortcomings. With the fastest fire rate of any SMG, the MAC-10 is ideal for anyone who enjoys emptying an entire magazine into an opponent. With the right attachments and the added benefit of insane movement speed, the MAC-10 could be the ideal weapon for a hip-fire build.

This gun is very promising. It sports a very large clip and is surprisingly accurate compared to other LMGs (which I am generally not the biggest fan of). The gun brings back nostalgic factors from previous games in the Call of Duty franchise, yet it feels like it is the most effective it has ever been. Often times I end up landing in and being able to eliminate full squads with just one clip with the groundloot RPD.

Attachments: GRU Suppressor, 20.3" Taskforce, Silix Holoscout, Spetsnaz Grip, and 120 Round clip.

Pros:

Great precision and lots of ammo, lets you shoot persistently
Powerful

One of the more popular ARs you might see in Warzone. Personally I am not the biggest fan, but I completely understand why someone would love to use this gun. This gun is dominant at close and mid-range due to its fire rate, but generally I find controling this beast a tad too difficult at longer ranges. Usually will get the job done.

Attachments: Monolithic Suppressor, Tempus Marksman, Comando Foregrip, 50 rnd Mag, and VLK optic.

Pros:

8. MP5 (BO)

The Cold War MP5 is a gun many were anticipating to use in Warzone. It is very similar to the MW MP5 but I find it has more recoil, which is why I still favor the MW MP5. The advantage it does carry over its predecessor is that it has a better fire rate, which results in more damage.

I generally am not a big fan of sniping, but to those who do love it, I would absolutely suggest using the Kar98k. This marksman rifle is a bit weaker, but it compensates well with its amazing accuracy, precision, and mobility. Due to these strengths, the rifle has to have a putback and that is its damage. If you are looking to put in work for kills with this bad boy, you better already have a perfect shot.

Insanely accurate shots with low bullet drop

One of the first ARs I decided to test out from Cold War and let me tell you, it feels much better than the M4 from MW. I picked up the blueprint called the Souvenir and it just felt so comfortable in my hands.

I have major hope in this becoming the best SMG in Warzone. Compared to its counterpart game, Cold War, this SMG is substantially easier to control. This SMG has high damage and a lighting quick fire rate which allows you to shred through opponents easily.

Pros:

Great fire rate and power
Great mobility and hipfire accuracy

The better of the two MP5s in my own opinion, though both have different advantages. Usually would run this alongside my Kilo class. The best weapon for close range skirmishes and even can hang in mid-range battles, depending on your attachments. I love using this in my rush class where I play to be elusive yet aggressive.

Attachments: Subsonic Integral Suppressor, 1mW Laser, FTAC Collapsible, Operator Foregrip, and 45 Rnd Mags.

Pros:

Insane mobility, you are as slippery as a bar of soap in the shower
Great fire rate and power for close range
Great hip-fire accuracy

The Krig is one of the newest additions to Warzone which makes me very happy and excited everytime I use it. If I am being honest, this might be the new meta, but I want to get more experience with it before I can firmly say so. When I first made a loadout using this and the Mac 10, I felt unstoppable (I was using it all day yesterday).

Attachments: Socom Eliminator, 19.7" Takedown, Microflex LED, Foregrip, and STANAG 60 Rnd Mags.

Pros:

Good mobility for an AR
Great accuracy and control

In my opinion, this gun is the safest option to take into Verdansk. The Kilo is generally the gun I feel the most secure using, and luckily everyone and their grandmothers run this loadout so there is always a high chance you can pick it up off of someone's corpse. This gun offers amazing range, control, and fire rate for any battle, but lacks the firepower some other guns in Warzone might have. Still the GOAT (for now).
