The SIG Sauer P226R pistol is a single-fire secondary weapon commonly used on rat runs (cheap raids). It is expensive for a pistol and has a slow RPM. The majority of the ammo it fires does high flesh damage except for the AP-6.3 round with slight armour penetration.

I personally very rarely use this pistol and prefer the Glock solely due to preference. Very high recoil is present, and it is not the most accurate pistol in terms of MOA.

14. Saiga-9 (Good)

The Saiga-9 is a submachine gun variant of the PP-19-01 Vityaz SN; however, it comes without the fully automatic firing mode. It fires the same ammunition as the P226R, but with a much higher fire rate, less recoil, a longer effective range, and greater overall accuracy.

The Saiga-9 is a very practical early-wipe gun as it is available from level 1 Skier, however, I tend to use the PP-19 over the Saiga simply due to its automatic fire mode. Choose this gun over a pistol any day, as it is essentially a better version of the P226R!

13. MP-153 (Good)

The MP-153 is a semi-automatic shotgun with an effective range of up to 70 metres. This weapon in CQB (close-quarter battle) is devastatingly powerful, and with the right attachments, it can take down any decently geared PMC. Capable of firing the AP 20 slug round, which can penetrate level 6 armour to a degree.

The downside would be that the gun is not very ergonomic at standard level, nor is it very accurate. I am very fond of this weapon, as in the correct hands, especially on Factory, a player can decimate the opposition.

The VPO-136, or Vepr KM/136, is a semi-automatic carbine that fires 7.62x39mm and acts as a hunting semi-auto carbine with a large magazine of 30 rounds. This weapon with the correct attachments can be very dangerous at mid-to-long range. Firing the infamous 7.62x39 BP rounds means this gun is capable of killing very well-geared PMCs with a couple of shots.

The recoil is not half bad and is not too expensive. Slapping on a long-range scope and suitable attachments, I have cleaned out woods, killing Shturman and other PMCs with mid-range attachments. This weapon should be used early to mid-wipe.

11. SKS (Great)

The SKS is an assault carbine that fires 7.62x39mm, the same rounds as the VPO, and is as dangerous. However, it comes with a self-loading internal box magazine that players load through the chamber of the rifle. It is more accurate than the VPO but comes with a lower fire rate due to the insane self-reload duration.

This weapon is less customisable in the sense that it is way harder to modify effectively. I prefer using this weapon as it occupies less space in your inventory in comparison to the VPO. I tend to find the recoil of the SKS much better than the recoil of the VPO; it is more controllable.

The SKS is a good budget gun and has a greater level of sniper factor, unless you are one of those players who picks one of these off of a dead Scav and rushes headfirst into a firefight.

10. Mosin-Nagant Sniper (Great)

The Mosin-Nagant 7.62x54R bolt-action sniper rifle is one of my go-to weapons in Tarkov. It is more expensive than the previous guns mentioned; however, it fires a monstrous round, the 7.62x54R.

Due to its damage and armour penetration potential, this rifle is feared amongst the most geared of PMCs. Even for high-level geared players, each variant of the 7.62x54R is lethal; with one well-placed shot, it is lights out for your opponent. This is an incredibly accurate bolt-action rifle with high damage potential for any enemy.

The SV-98 has a larger capacity and is slightly more customisable than the Mosin-Nagant. Instead of 5 7.62x54R rounds in a clip, you have double. Moreover, the SV-98 is highly accurate with lower vertical and horizontal recoil.

If you are looking for a more affordable option, I recommend the Mosin; otherwise, go ahead and buy one of these beasts. This weapon is available at Prapor level 3 and is always a decent sniper choice.

8. SVDS 7.62x54R Sniper rifle (Great)

The marksman rifle that has a major advantage over both the SV-98 and Mosin is the highly customisable SVDS. This is the weapon used by the boss, “Shturman,” on woods, and it is extremely lethal. It is a semi-automatic sniper rifle that fires the 7.62x54R round. At the sacrifice of 100 metres in effective range, players get a mix of close and long-range capabilities with extremely high damage.

In the right hands, this weapon is capable of taking down any player or boss. The RPM of an SVDS in comparison to the SV-98 is at least 20 times greater.

7. The 5.56x39mm AK series (superb)

The 5.56 AK series is a collection of Kalashnikov rifles that fire 5.56. They are extremely common in Escape from Tarkov and fire the amazing PPBS round that pierces any armour with a high fire rate and decent damage.

I take the AK-105 as my key example, as it is my go-to 5.56 AK. Alongside the M4, the AK is one of the most customisable fully automatic rifles in the game. In addition, the AK is relatively cheap to buy, but modding can be expensive. This is Shturman’s secondary weapon, which is just as dangerous in the right hands.

The 7.62 AK series is a collection of Kalashnikov rifles firing 7.62. They have a greater recoil than the alternative 5.56 AKs, with the benefit of increased damage. It has less customisble opportunity but is overall less expensive, unless you are using 7.62x39 BP ammo and recoil mods. This weapon is more affordable and easier to gain access to thanks to level 2 Prapor.

The Remington RSASS 7.62x51 Marksman rifle is highly accurate and effective. Firing the 7.62x51 round, players can expect this weapon to pack a punch. Think of the 7.62x51 as a more ergonomic version of the previously mentioned 7.62x54R, but just as deadly.

This weapon is required for the Gunsmith Part 6 quest from the trader, Mechanic. This weapon is not an early wipe weapon and requires peacekeeper level 4 to buy.

The HK is a fully automatic assault rifle with a higher fire rate than the M4A1. It also has greater accuracy at the expense of a lower sighting range. The HK is almost as customisable as the M4 and tends to be the cheaper alternative to the M4A1.

Firing the 5.56x45mm M995 round, this weapon is extremely dangerous to all types of enemies, simply due to its high fire rate and accuracy.

3. CMMG Mk47 Mutant (superb)

The ideal LABS weapon, the CMMG Mk47 Mutant, is a basic example of a metagun. It fires 7.62x39mm rounds, essentially acting as a better version of the AK. This weapon is more common in mid-to-late wipe, and due to its customisability and ergonomics, it is a monstrous rifle.

I've used this gun countless times on LABS, and I adore the way it feels, sounds, and looks. It is quite expensive, but if you have the rubles, I would highly recommend it.

The AS VAL is a silent, fully automatic “special” assault rifle with a built-in suppressor. This weapon is extremely powerful, as it easily pierces the best armour in the game. A high fire rate and low recoil make for a deadly killing machine. However, ammunition and gun costs are high.

This weapon is not very customisable, but who wants to customise an already overpowered weapon? 9x39mm is a ferocious bullet, so be warned when you hear the suppressed shots from one of these.

If it wasn't obvious already, I believe the M4A1 to be easily one of the best guns in Escape From Tarkov. This weapon is another ideal LABS weapon and fires 5.56x45mm. This weapon is easily bought from level 2 Peacekeeper. You might ask, “Why not the AS VAL?” Well, the M4A1 is the most customisable, affordable, and all-around balanced weapon in Escape From Tarkov.

USEC PMCs will be all too familiar with this weapon, along with the majority of LABS players. Ammo is also cheap, with the m855A1 capable of destroying any level 4 armor and being available near the start of the wipe.

Since its release, Call of Duty: Cold War has seen some of the most engaging, thrilling, and drama-filled tournaments. With all of the action came some well-crafted weapon classes that are ideal for League Play players. Regardless of the increased limitations of competitive weapon classes, this list compiles some of the best loadouts seen during tournaments that have proven to rack up kills in even the tensest situations.

10. Louqa’s Krig 6 Loadout

Previously a player for Renegades, Louqa has been named Call of Duty Challengers 2021 Asia Pacific - Open #1 MVP.

This loadout opts for higher bullet velocity as it depends on the already low recoil of the base Krig 6.

Diamondcon’s loadout for the LW3-Tundra is optimized for quick scopes and efficient kills, and is great for taking out a team of enemies at any range.

This loadout for the Tundra is superior in terms of damage, which means that there is a much lower chance for hit markers. Quick eliminations are key to being an effective sniper, and this class delivers on that requirement.

This setup is great for extended-range battles, as it performs well at both mid and close range. The loadout is more focused on bullet velocity and recoil control.

A member of OpTic Texas, Shotzzy is the first-ever player to become a champ in multiple FPS games due to his championship wins in the Halo Championship 2018 and CDL championship in 2020. Shotzzy’s AK47 Loadout is special because it comes from a player that mainly uses the SMG. As a result, the class emphasises speed, allowing the player to run around obliterating opponents left, right, and centre like an SMG but with the firepower of an AR.

With 31 major tournament wins, Scump is a force to be reckoned with. He is currently a member of OpTic Texas and is a 2017 World Champion and the only back-to-back two-time X Games gold medalist. He has the second-highest tournament wins in CoD competitive history. There are simply too many achievements to name without making another article for him.

To be honest, I may have a personal bias against this gun because it has been my favorite since its release in Season 5, and it has always been by my side no matter what. The handling is superb, the ADS speed is astounding, and the overpowered damage means that my opponents perish faster than you can say "Look behind you!". This gun is excellent for all game modes and ranks first on this list, thanks to the way it handles gunfights at most ranges without sacrificing mobility in the least.

Maneuverability is never sacrificed with the TEC-9.

5. Magnum

All we need now is a cowboy operator skin to complete the look

A classic revolver with the stopping power of a truck, the Magnum is an excellent choice for those who want to kill their opponents with the fewest rounds possible while also feeling like a cowboy in the Wild West. The Magnum's strength lies in its high damage and penetration, but the high recoil and low muzzle velocity make the double-action revolver weak overall. This weapon is unlocked at rank 31, and the Dual Wield option is available once the weapon reaches level 35.

Whenever I try to break my previous kill streak record, I've noticed that ADS can often slow me down and make it more difficult to cover all of my sides effectively. In such situations, hipfire builds have become my best friend because they allow me to save precious seconds I would have spent focusing on ADS and instead go straight to shooting.

For those of you who know what I'm talking about, I've compiled a list of the best hipfire guns to use in Cold War for when you just can't be bothered to stand idly and aim at opponents who can't seem to stay in one place long enough.

10. MAC-10

The MAC-10 makes up for its lackluster handling with its rate of fire

Though the MAC-10's recoil and overall damage aren't the best, the insane fire rate compensates for any shortcomings. With the fastest fire rate of any SMG, the MAC-10 is ideal for anyone who enjoys emptying an entire magazine into an opponent. With the right attachments and the added benefit of insane movement speed, the MAC-10 could be the ideal weapon for a hip-fire build.

Here are the top ten Guns for beginners that can help you win and improve:

10. Marshal:

What 1000 hours of Marshal Experience Looks like (Valorant Montage)

Some might roast me for this pick, why? Because it’s the Marshal! It can’t be placed last! But this is a guide for people who are just starting out. If you’ve always wanted to be a sniper but don’t know where to begin then I recommend you the Marshal as it’s more forgiving than the Operator and can easily get used to it if you practice enough.

Marshal details:

Costs 950 Credits which isn’t much and that’s why it’s better for beginners than spending 4,500 on an Operator.
1.5 Fire Rate which is much higher than the Operator making it much more forgiving for mistakes.
More than 100 of damage for body shots and that’s quite good if you’re a beginner so you can at least do some good damage even if you miss the headshot!

What's great about this Weapon:

Low cost for a sniper that deals a fair amount of damage!
High firing rate putting in mind it’s a sniper which can be much better if you’re entering the sniper hall of fame!

9. Sheriff:

Sheriff, But it's 80% Average Headshots..

If you like the western style and always wanted to be an American hero then you would love this gun! The Sheriff is great for some short-range battles and can surely win you some games especially if you’re on the offensive side! The only downside is that you have to be a little accurate so you can one-shot your enemies before you need to reload again.

Sherif details:

Costs 800 Credits. It’s not much at all for such damage and you can buy it if you’d like to save while dealing some unmatched damage.
Short-range is the secret word here.
4 Fire rate which is a bit low for a sidearm but it’s good enough if you aim right.
A fair amount of Recoil.

What's great about this Weapon:

It’s a good choice if you don’t have many Credits and want to save a little for the next round.
Around 150 damage (which is the highest damage for a sidearm on Valorant).
It can help you improve your aim while being forgiving as you can deal tons of damage to your enemies by just shooting no matter what accuracy you have!

8. Judge:

The Judge, cool name right? It will make your enemies feel it’s judgment day already for them! That’s because of the damage it can deal with a good firing rate. It’s also a good cheap choice for a beginner if you want a forgiving weapon as you can still deal good damage no matter where you shoot!

Judge details:

Costs 1,850 which isn’t a lot but at this price you can think of a Spectre which is probably a better option if you’re a beginner.
Not a big range as it’s considered a shotgun.
Definitely some strong Recoil as any other shotgun.

What's great about this Weapon:

Great choice if you’re a shotgun lover!
Fast enough to make those who approach you regret it.
A good fit if you’re on the attackers side as it’s suitable for a rush-in!

This is probably my favorite sidearm! It’s silent, accurate, and feels like you’re a 007 agent! This gun will help you sneak on the enemy, win games, and improve your aim as the recoil isn’t that bad! All while being so affordable.

Ghost details:

Costs 500 Credits which is considered the best option if you’re on an Eco-round!
A good range (30 m) for a sidearm which makes it suitable for any type of fight.
Damage around 105 which is fair enough to the head!

What’s great about this weapon:

The lowest cost for a gun that can deal damage, be silent, and with fair accuracy.
Typically works in all different situations.
The firing rate is good enough at 6.75 which is great, especially with a 15 bullets magazine!

6. Stinger:

Sova Ace Clutch with Stinger

This gun stings! That’s why they call it the Stinger! It’s a really cheap SMG with a good firing rate and decent damage! It’s not really good on the Recoil part but let’s focus on how cheap it is and the firing rate which can be forgiving if you make mistakes, that’s why it would be a good start!

Stinger details:

Costs 950 Credits which is pretty cheap for an SMG.
A range of around 20 m which is fair enough for most types of fights but it’s not fit for a long-range fight.
Fire rate of around 16 which is pretty insane for this price!

What’s great about this weapon:

Cheaper than most guns and can give you a good start as an SMG especially if you’re a beginner as you won’t have a lot of Credits in the first rounds.
A very good option in economy rounds.
Great performance in short-range fights which will make you dominate it if you practice enough and get used to the Recoil patterns.

5. Spectre:

The Spectre might just be the best option for a beginner if you can handle the spray method well! A good tip to improve with spraying is using strafing where you move in the opposite direction for a moment in order to steady your aim and improve your accuracy especially if you’re going to spray.

Spectre details:

Costs 1,600 Credits which is fair for almost all rounds.
Firing rate of around 13.13 which is pretty good!
A magazine of 30 bullets which is quite a lot and can be helpful if you don’t want to reload in the middle of a fight!

What’s great about this weapon:

Doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg so you can probably afford it for most rounds.
A good choice for dealing damage whether you like spraying or want to improve your aim generally.
Low Recoil so it can be really good to run and gun!

4. Ares:

When ARES wins your GAME!

The Ares is the best affordable Heavy gun in Valorant! The Odin is great but it’s hard to control like the Ares. It was recently nerfed because players found it too powerful and abused it, that’s why Riot made it a little more expensive but luckily for you, they brought it down again. It’s a great gun because you can scare your enemies with it and hold an angle but don’t get used to it if you want to improve your aim.

Ares details:

Costs around 1,600 Credits after it was for 1,700 for a short period.
Firing rate is around 13 which is great!
Reload speed is 3.25 which is super fast compared to the Odin’s 5!

What’s great about this weapon:

A cheaper option for going expendables mode!
Great reload speed as it helps to be fast sometimes.
Every wanted to have more bullets? Then the Ares is the one for you with a 50 bullets magazine!

3. Guardian:

Valorant Guardian Headshot Ace

This one is my absolute favorite! People wouldn’t understand how broken it is! You get to deal a lot of damage with only one shot! This weapon isn’t the best choice for beginners who want to have fun and kick back, it’s for beginners who want to improve their aim and get rewarded with wins immediately!

Guardian details:

Costs 2,250 which might sound a lot compared to the Spectre but it’s not much for the damage!
Low firing rate of 5.25 but you don’t need a lot of bullets if you can only kill the enemy with one!
Insane damage for headshots which is around 195 and around 65 for the body.

What’s great about this weapon:

The best weapon to improve your aim as you can feel the rewards instantly with your headshots.
Cheaper than Phantom and Vandal so it’s suitable if you want to save a little for the next round.
Insane damage, even better than the Vandal so it can be helpful even if you’re still a beginner.
Heavy penetration of armor which is also beneficial if you at least hit the enemy!

2. Vandal:

Valorant TenZ Deathmatch with VANDAL | Pretty Easy

The Vandal is a great choice for many players because it can deal high damage even in long-distance engages which is something the Phantom isn’t capable of! The learning curve for the Vandal is a bit steep but its overall performance can make it up for you! It’s not the best rifle for beginners as it needs some control while spraying but if you’re confident in your skills and ability to learn then go ahead and pick it up!

Vandal details:

Costs 2,900 credits which require some saving but it can be worth it!
Firing rate of 9.75 which is good for a rifle and even better than the Bulldog!
Fairly good damage (160 for headshots and 40 for body shots).
A 25 bullets magazine which can be enough in most cases.

What’s great about this weapon:

Best overall performance especially if you get used to the recoil patterns.
Great for long-distance engages as it can still deal a ton of damage.
Best rewarding weapon for patience as you can get a lot better with practice and climb up the ranks.

1. Phantom:

[ACE] Awesome CLUTCH in Valorant with Phantom Singularity

Phantom is mostly the go-to weapon for most players! It has the biggest magazine in rifles, can deal great damage, has a silencer which is great, and it’s the most beginner-friendly weapon as it’s easy to control during spraying.

Cost 2,900 credits.
Firing rate of 11!
Headshots damage of 156 approximately.
A 30 bullets magazine.

What’s great about this weapon:

Cost the same as the Vandal which is why it’s the better choice for beginners.
The highest firing rate of a rifle in Valorant!
Biggest magazine size which can be so beneficial to save precious seconds during reloading.
Almost the same damage as the Vandal, yet another reason why it’s a very good choice over it.
