In Chapter 9 of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, you are given a limited-time task to choose a dancer for the White Heron Cup. If you win, which you will if your unit has a high enough charm, you unlock the Dancer class for that unit only.

The Dancer class has the ability to grant another unit a turn after they have already gone and increased stats, including power in sword. This lets you use the Dancer in two ways: One, as a supporter, or two, as a powerful sword user. Here are the best units to pick as your dancer and how they excel in the role.

5. Ferdinand

Practice dancing with Ferdinand and watch him in awe.

If you choose the Black Eagles, Ferdinand will be a part of your class. However, despite his ties to the Aegir territory in the Empire, he can be recruited into any class with enough work. Ferdinand is an incredible choice as a dancer. He honestly excels in any classes due to his lack of weakness, so a dancer is no exception!

Due to the sword avoid skill a dancer receives, which increases the avoid +20 when the user is holding a sword, and Ferdinand’s personal skill of Confidence, which increases his hit and avoid by +15 when he has full HP, Ferdinand will be almost impossible to hit. While Ferdinand doesn’t necessarily need this help to be built up well, it is really nice that you don’t have to worry about him in the line of danger.

What Makes Ferdinand a Great Dancer:

While the Dancer class isn’t usually someone you want on the front lines, Ferdinand is a strong unit that makes this class stronger!
Ferdinand is great with a sword, so when given one, he will have avoid +20. Combined with his personal skill, his avoidance will increase.
If he is out of range of combat, he can dance to give another unit a turn. While he might not always dance, it is still helpful to have on the battlefield. After all, not all enemies take a lot of damage with a sword.
Ferdinand is always quick to brag about his dancing skills. An easy way to make him happy and raise your support with him is to ask him to be your house dancer. He is dazzling to watch, as he’ll make sure you know!

4. Felix

Felix is an incredibly strong swordsman that you get automatically if you choose Blue Lions. Like Ferdinand, he can be recruited to any route.

Felix is also a great dancer due to the sword avoid. He will be very annoyed that you chose him as a dancer, but oh well! You’re the professor, he’s just going to have to deal with it. The one thing that makes Felix stronger as a dancer choice than Ferdinand is his Crest of Fraldarius. This makes him a stronger unit with strong evasion, plus he has strong speed.

What Makes Felix a Great Dancer:

You want a strong unit like Felix to be on the battlefield for as long as possible with high HP. With the sword avoid you get this can help you accomplish that.
He is one of the strongest units in the game and everyone recommends that you recruit him. Why not use one of your routes to make him a dancer?
Felix also has a high speed, which gives him the ability to hit multiple times in one move. This, combined with dodging other moves, will make him a great dodge tank!

3. Mercedes

Mercedes is arguably the best healer in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. While she has some defensive roles, she has magic skills such as Physic and Fortify, so she can heal from a distance. She comes from the Blue Lions house and can be recruited to any other house.

She shouldn’t really be put in the line of fire too much, so Dancer is a great role for her. She can heal units when needed, and when she’s not healing, she can dance to give stronger units an extra turn to help you clear this battlefield quicker.

What Makes Mercedes a Great Dancer:

Mercedes is already a great supporter. Giving her an extra boost that she can give to her allies to support them is helpful. Mercedes is one of the units where you can best relish in the power that the Dancer gives you.
If Mercedes is a dedicated healer, there are some turns that she has nothing to do. Having the ability to dance will make sure she isn’t just sitting idly!
Mercedes has a personal skill, Live to Serve. Just the name of it pairs well with the role of a dancer. Mercedes genuinely wants to help her allies best she can, so she will be happy to be a dancer!

2. Marianne

Marianne can win; she just has to believe in herself!

Since Marianne is so shy, you might think that she would be horrible at a more extroverted role like the Dancer, someone who dances across the battlefield. However, this Golden Deer would be great to choose! You can also recruit her to any house.

Since the dancer can use magic, Marianne is a great choice. She is already a powerful magician with skills like Blizzard and Silence, so you can use her in various ways. She can fight, heal, and dance for her allies. Since she’s a good fighter, she is powerful with certain weapons. For instance, a Levin sword which is a long range sword that uses magic as strength, or Blutgang, a Heroes’ Relic that pairs with the Crest of the Beast—Which Marianne possesses!

What Makes Marianne a Great Dancer:

Marianne already has a talent in swords, so that stat boost the Dancer gets is worth it.
She can use the Levin Sword and attack with magic from a further distance, get the sword avoid, and stay out of harm’s way.
Her powerful magic spells will only enhance her role as a Dancer, but she can dance or heal when they aren’t needed.

1. Dorothea

There's a reason she used to be a star on the stage.

Dorothea of the Black Eagles, who you can recruit to any house, is easily the best choice as a dancer. Her character even has a history of performing in the opera, so she was born to be a dancer!

Dorothea has both defensive and healing magic. With moves like meteor, she can attack from a long range, but she also has physic which gives her the ability to heal from a long range. When neither of these skills are necessary, she can dance across the map to give other units another move. It really is a move that always comes in handy!

What Makes Dorothea a Great Dancer:

She has a good range of long distance skills so you can keep her out of harm's way and in the back to continue supporting other more defensive units.
Like Marianne, you can equip her with a magical Levin Sword, which grants her the Sword Avoidance as well.
Dorothea has the special ability Songstress, which grants nearby allies about 10% of their maximum health at the start of every turn. This paired with her long range healing and the ability to grant users another turn, she is incredibly helpful on the battlefield.

In the Harry Potter books/movies the number of characters is (to put it simply) a lot. But when we look at these characters, you realize that they are simple, yet the way they are portrayed is powerful. When we start to familiarize ourselves with these characters you find that you begin to favor some of them. Just like with most other books. But what’s different with harry potter is the way that these characters somehow reach over into our minds and cause us to somehow know these characters as if they are people we know in real life.

With that being said. Here’s a list of the 15 most loved characters in Harry Potter.

15. Dobby

Dobby is a male House elf for the Malfoy family and was a servant for this family of Dark Wizards who treated him cruelly.

This Slightly ghastly being has been one that most of us probably hated when we first see him. But later, we start to grow closer to Dobby.

Why he’s loved:

He is innocent – when we first met Dobby, he made most of us angry because of his actions towards Harry. He blocks communication with Harry’s friends, got him in trouble with the ministry of magic and even breaks his arm later, he reveals that he didn’t want to kill harry, but to seriously maim or injure.
He has a good heart – Although he spent most of his life serving cruel people who didn’t care about him, he still found a way to forgive them, and this shows how much of a good person he is.
Dobby proved to be a very loyal friend to Harry - Without Dobby’s bravery and selflessness, Harry would have never been successful. Dobby was extremely loyal and kind to Harry in all that he did. He even sacrificed his own life for Harry. Harry couldn’t have defeated Voldemort without him.

14. Bellatrix Lestrange

Bellatrix Lestrange was the cousin to Sirius Black and his murderer, the Death Eater that tortured Neville Longbottom’s parents into insanity using the cruciatus curse, and she was a servant to the Dark Lord.

You might be wondering: “Why would she be on this list, considering the things that she has done?” and that’s exactly it. She’s like the Harley Quinn of the Potter verse.

Why she’s liked:

Her loyalty to the Dark Lord - When I think of Bellatrix Lestrange, I think of a VERY loyal person. She would’ve done anything for Voldemort. She murdered, she tortured, she did anything that she could’ve done to please Voldemort.
She’s sadistic – The reason why most Bellatrix fans love her is Exactly because of her wickedness. She was so good at being bad and she showed no remorse for her actions, in fact, she was happy with her deeds. There’s just something in the way she smiled after she killed, something in the way she laughed after she just made someone feel like they were worthless.
She’s one of the strong female characters – it’s so interesting to see how women with power behave in books and this is the main reason why we love her. Her evilness combined with her strong attitude creates a very fascinating character that (curiously) interests us.

13. Fred and George Weasley

Fred and George Weasley are the twins of the Weasley family, they are siblings with Ginny, Ron, Bill, Percy and Charlie. They were both sorted into Gryffindor.

This Meddling duo is known for their wild products they make. From sweets that make you sick to mini fireworks; this duo probably has whatever it is you’re looking for.

Why they are loved:

They are entrepreneurs – These two are very resourceful when it comes to making money, they had a whole brand with their crazy and fun products that were popular among the students.
They are comedic – if there’s one thing that all of us can remember from theses two, its their sense of humor. If you were asked to think of goofy characters from the Harry Potter franchise, these two are most likely the first people you think of.
The times when they synchronize – Fred and George are interesting characters. Its as if they share one mind. It’s so bizarre how they end up saying the same thing at the exact same time.

12. Severus Snape

Severus Snape was a teacher at Hogwarts and one of Harry’s antagonists (but not a major one). He was the teacher associated with the Slytherin house.

This man is iconic for his melancholic and sarcastic attitude.

Why he’s liked:

He has an intimidating aura – Professor Snape was one of the characters you know were powerful without him having to demonstrate it. The way he would a student to do something and quickly followed was just a sign of his power.
He was powerful – When Snape did fight others, he often was victorious. And he was even the one that invented the Sectumsempra curse.
He was loyal to Dumbledore – Snape displayed great loyalty to Albus Dumbledore. Although Dumbledore manipulated him using Snape’s love for Lily Potter, it’s still surprising to see how he did all these things he did for someone who was no longer there. He even goes so far that he eventually killed Dumbledore (Dumbledore told him to do it).

11. Minerva McGonagall

Minerva McGonagall was another Professor at Hogwarts; she was associated with Gryffindor.

Known as Professor McGonagall, she was probably the strictest teacher at Hogwarts (when Dolores Umbridge wasn’t there, but she wasn’t horrible like her at all).

Why she was loved:

She was fair – Unlike Snape or Umbridge, she only gave punishments where it was necessary to, not when she felt like it.
She didn’t discriminate Harry – I know she isn’t the only teacher who didn’t discriminate, but she also sympathized with Harry Potter without treating him like he was different from everyone else. Everyone is the same in her eyes.
She was talented in Transfiguration – Minerva was gifted in the magic of transfiguration. We see this in one of the first scenes where she turns from a cat (who Vernon Dursley was suspicious of because of its behavior) into her original form and she demonstrates her ability to many more times.

10. Neville Longbottom

Neville Longbottom was a student at Hogwarts and a friend of Harry Potter’s. He was sorted into Gryffindor.

Neville is known for his soft personality; he was bullied a lot and was often belittled but his willingness to move forward was amazing.

Why he was liked:

He was a good friend to Harry – Neville has always been by Harry’s side (except for that one time when Hermione had to cast Petrificus totalus on him) and has always been kind to him
he was an expert at Herbology – this was very useful to Harry. In the Triwizarding tournament, he helped harry find out how he could go through the second trial by telling him that he needed Gilly weed, although he wasn’t the one who provided it to him.
He was loyal - He continued their work of fighting the Dark wizards. From the battle of Department of Mysteries to the Battle of Hogwarts and never backed away from his friends, school and family.

9. Remus Lupin

Remus Lupin was yet another Professor at Hogwarts, but only for one year then resigned because he was worried about how the parents would react if they had found out that the teacher was a werewolf.

Lupin has been a very influential person to Harry and if it wasn’t for him, Harry would’ve been killed by dementors at the beginning of “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban”

Why he was loved:

He taught Harry the Patronus Charm – Remus Lupin was the person who taught harry how to defend himself against dementors and their kisses. Should he have not taught harry that charm, Harry would have his happiest memories taken away from him.
He tried to catch Peter Pettigrew – When Lupin was busy trying to catch Peter as a rat and Ron, Harry and Hermione got caught in the crossfire, I’m pretty sure that most of us thought that he was insane and was going to try and kill Ron. But he later reveals that he was trying to catch the killer of 12 people and framed it on Sirius Black.
He had Harry’s back – Remus was one of the many people who put himself in harms way just to save Harry, we see this in “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”

8. Molly Weasley

Molly Weasley is the mother of Ginny, Ron, Fred, George, Percy, Bill and Charlie Weasley and wife to Arthur Weasley.

Molly Weasley is one of the sweetest characters in the books/movies and I think its safe to say that all of us love her.

Why she is loved:

She was Harry’s other mom – Molly Weasley was exactly what Harry Needed after the abuse he went through as a child, she was there to give harry all the love, care and support that Dursleys failed to give.
She was a strong character – When I look at Molly Weasley, I see a woman of great strength. Imagine having to take care of 7 children, having to attend to her husband, the huge house they lived in AND having to take care of herself.
A good mother – She was a good mother because of the way she loved her kids but also knew how to discipline her kids when they were acting up. She even sent a letter to Ron at Hogwarts when he stole the flying car. Not only was the letter stern, but it also literally yelled at him. Of course, it was embarrassing but considering what Ron and Harry did, I think that it was good enough keeping in mind that they were far away from home.

7. Luna Lovegood

Luna Lovegood was a student at Hogwarts. She was sorted into Ravenclaw. She lived with her dad alone, because her mom passed away when she was 9.

Luna Lovegood was known at Hogwarts for being a little crazy. Even Hermione accidently called her “Looney” when she meant “Luna” while she was introducing her to Harry.

Why she is loved:

She was misunderstood – Luna Lovegood was mistaken for crazy because of her personality. She spoke her mind and that led other students to believe she was crazy. She talks of nargoyles and other mythical creatures that other people don’t seem to even know about. But Harry gets to see one kind of creature that others can’t, pestrals.
She related to Harry – Luna was the only character in “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” that related to Harry and believed in his encounter with the Dark Lord when almost nobody else did. You can just imagine what it must be like to have the Ministry of magic, your friends, and your teachers all against you. But there was one person who believed in Harry, and it was Luna
She’s sweet and kind – despite most people claiming she was crazy, she still practiced forgiveness and kindness. Her body language was gentle, and her voice was the same. If I were to describe her aura in one word, it would be “peaceful” or “angelic”. If she were a crystal, she would be rose quartz or opal.

6. Albus Dumbledore

Albus Dumbledore was the Headmaster of Hogwarts during the time of Harry’s education there. He a professor associated with Gryffindor. He was also a Supreme Mugwump.

There is some controversy surrounding his actions, but I don’t want to focus on why he is considered bad.

Why he is loved:

A man of wise words – Professor Dumbledore is one of many characters who gives advice to other people in the books/movies, but he gives it very often. And to this day some of his words still echo in our minds and hearts.
A powerful wizard - All of us acknowledge his power but most of do not fully comprehend it. He was so powerful that even Voldemort, the Dark Lord, the Master to Death Eaters, the man who killed a plethora of people. Feared Albus Dumbledore. He could summon fire storms, apparate silently and do much more than most other wizards could do.
He was like a grandfather to Harry – He gave words of advice to Harry, he gave support, he technically gave Harry a way to escape the Dursleys (even though he put him there in the first place) and always did what was right for Harry.

5. Ron Weasley

Ron Weasley is another student at Hogwarts and yet again, a friend of Harry’s. he was sorted into Gryffindor and is a sibling to Ginny, Fred, George, Percy, Bill and Charlie.

Most of us love Ron for being the ignorant character that he is, although he is very petty, that doesn’t stop us from loving him.

Why he is loved:

He’s the comedic relief of the iconic trio – When things start to get tense among Ron, Harry and Hermione. Ron manages to say something that’s so out of pocket that the audience can feel the atmosphere get lighter. He's always there to misunderstand something or have a humorous lack of knowledge for something.
Always provided petty drama – Now you must admit it. You had to find the drama between Ron and Harry and/or Hermione. Although it was frustrating it was strange to see Ron started to make many characters turn against him because of his actions. It was like a car crash, you want to look away, but you can’t.
He was always by Harry’s side – Although their friendship was rocky, Ron did not permanently leave Harry, it was always temporary, and when the time was right, he would come back.

4. Sirius Black

Sirius Black was Harry’s god father and was part of Dumbledore’s secret organization. He was framed for killing a lot of people by Peter Pettigrew and then thrown into Azkaban around the age of 22. Later in his life, he escapes and starts using the form of a dog to roam freely. But his freedom didn’t last long due to Bellatrix Lestrange (his cousin) killing him.

This man was more than just a god father to Harry, and he was also Harry’s only family. Most of us love him and sympathize for him.

Why he is loved:

He was Harry’s only family – you can imagine what it must have been like to be the only relative to a child who was orphaned, abused and a target for the dark lord. And from Harry’s POV, he was a child who had no family and lived with terrible people. When they started to bond, he was abruptly killed.
He offered Harry a better life – When Sirius was alive in “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” as they gazed upon the Hogwarts castle next to the whomping willow tree, Sirius told Harry that he could go and stay with him instead of the Dursleys when his name got cleared. But unfortunately, the promise was short lived because just after 2 years, he was killed.
He stopped at nothing to help harry – He was being hunted down by dementors from the ministry of magic and the whole wizarding world was on the look out for him, and despite all these obstacles he faced, he still found a way to at least try and help Harry. He even talked to Harry through the fireplace in the Gryffindor common room as a face in the fire.

3. Rubeus Hagrid

Rubeus Hagrid is a half-human and Half-giant. He was the gamekeeper and keeper of keys and grounds of Hogwarts. He is associated with Gryffindor.

This big man should be one of your favorite characters. There is absolutely no way that you can hate this character.

He is kind -despite his rough looking appearance, with a strange fascination with scary creatures, Hagrid is the perfect example of kindness and good intentions
He is loyal – Hagrid is one of many who would never betray Albus Dumbledore on purpose, When Dumbledore was removed from Hogwarts, Hagrid protested. When Dumbledore asked him to do something, he did it. When Dumbledore asked him to go somewhere, he went. Hagrid displays loyalty many times.
He teaches us to follow instructions from Professionals – Hagrid did not complete his education, but he has an extremely vast knowledge in creatures and the environments they live in. so when he had to mentor/ teach students he would make instructions very clear. Going against what he said would be extremely stupid of you.

2. Harry Potter

Harry potter is the son of Lily and James Potter, nephew of Petunia and Vernon Dursley, cousin of Dudley Dursley and a friend to many. He was sorted into Gryffindor, and he is also known as “the boy who lived”

How could we not put him on the list? He’s the main character of the franchise and is the whole reason why we read or watch the movies.

Why he is loved:

He is a character of great strength – despite everything harry went through, he still pushes on. He lost his parents, he was abused, he was almost killed on multiple occasions, he was outcasted, he was a target for one of the evilest people in the world, he was bullied. But he never stopped pushing.
He inspired others – Harry potter was very good when it came to persuading and starting fires in the hearts of other people. His literal existence as a baby brought the wizarding world at peace for at least for a little while, but as he got older people did start to turn against him, but he never failed at having people by his side.
He proved to us that friendship is very important – Harry did all kinds of wonderful things and achieved great things, but he got them with the help of his friends. Should he have decided to not befriend the people that he did, Harry Potter’s life would’ve been completely different. There is absolutely no way that Harry could have achieved any of the things that he did with his friends if he initially decided to do it alone.

1. Hermione Granger

Hermione Granger was a muggle-born wizard, she was a student at Hogwarts and was sorted into Gryffindor and she was a close friend of Harry Potter.

Let’s be honest here… Hermione carried the franchise. I mean, can you imagine Harry Potter without Hermione being in it?

Why she’s loved:

Her intelligence – Hermione is iconic for her wittiness she works hard to amass as much knowledge as she can, she got good grades, she took part in more subjects than the average student and always had a clear head when it came to solving pressing issues.
Her iconic lines – Hermione always had interesting things to say. Whether it was her gently trashing on someone or if she was defending herself, if you read the books or watched the movies I’m sure that there are still whispers of her voice. To name a few examples: “it’s not Leviosaaa, its LeviOosa”. (When Ron was sending her around to deliver his messages) “I AM NOT AN OWL!”
She stood against all the stereotypes assigned to her – Hermione was a muggle-born girl, so as a result, many people expect her to be weak and easy to boss around, but she proved all these stereotypes wrong. She becomes an extraordinary witch, she has a strong personality, she is extremely smart and does better than most people born into pure-blood families.

Which characters provide the best damage output in the game?

If you cannot decide which DPS to run, you have come to the right place. Genshin Impact has introduced many DPS characters over the time and , all of them are good enough for you to clear any domain and the Spiral Abyss. However, with their unique kits, some DPS characters have performed better than the other DPS characters by a considerable margin.

Before we begin, let us see what our criteria is, in ranking these characters.

1. First things first, the characters that you invest and build well are the ones who wreck hard.

2. Consistency of DMG dealing.

3. Level of investment to be done on a character.

4. Constellations are ignored (Every character shall be considered to be C0).

What you should keep in mind is that, you should choose the characters that you love to play regardless of how Meta they are because if you do not love their playstyle, you will not enjoy the game to the fullest.

10. Tartaglia (Childe)

Tartaglia (Childe), 11th of the Fatui Harbringers

The Fatui Harbringer who slays his enemies with both the bow and melee, comes at 10th place in our list. Unlike other DPS characters, Childe does not level up with CRIT DMG. Therefore, he requires both CRIT DMG and CRIT rate scaling. While his burst deals enormous damage, he needs a lot of investment to get himself to a good level of CRIT attacks.

The scalings of his attack are mostly concentrated on the melee side. For example, at talent level 10, his burst (melee) DMG would be 835.2% which is great but the longer you stay in this mode, the longer the CD is. You can stay in melee stance for 30s max and it automatically changes back to ranged stance with a longer CD. This is not worth it because we do not want him to be on the field for that long because we need to use our support characters on the field for reactions as well. Because of this, at his C0, we can safely say that he is at the 10th rank of our list.

9. Yoimiya

Yoimiya, Fireworks expert and Naognohara Fireworks

The fireworks expert who always runs into trouble with the Tenryou commission, comes at the 9th place in our ranking. A well-built Yoimiya can deal decent enough damage. However, her scalings are not that impressive compared to other characters. If you invest in her, you can expect around 12k-15k damage per shot with some consistency. However, other characters have shown dealing so much more damage than her in terms of DPS.

Let me bring in some numbers for you. Yoimiya has one of the highest, if not the highest normal attack scalings out of all the characters in Genshin Impact. At level 10 normal attack, the aggregate of 1 to 5 hit DMG would be 762.27%, which is some appreciable DMG. However, her AoE DMG is not adequate for a good DPS character.

She deals AoE DMG mostly through her burst and its scaling is one of the worst you can possibly come across. At the talent level 10, her AoE would do 219.6% DMG while the skill, when the burst is active, would do 228.96% DMG per attack.

She can do insanely good damage with a good build against one opponent. However, when it comes to mobs, since she lacks her AoE, she would not be the best option for you. Hence, we ranked her at 9th.

8. Kamisato Ayato

Kamisato Ayato, The Yashiro Commissioner

The Yashiro Commissioner, who was released recently, is yet to find his place in the game. With a well-balanced kit, Ayato brings in lightning fast strikes dealing Hydro DMG to the opponent using his elemental skill. Not only that, but also, his burst buffs these attacks and deals even more damage. He needs a moderate amount of investment and he is a very fun character to play with. Since Ayato is still a very new character, many experimentations need to be done on him before we judge his abilities.

Ayato deals his damage with his elemental skill and normal attacks followed by it. His burst provides additional 20% of ATK to his normal attacks as well. However, the scaling of this is an average amount. His DMG scales with his HP. At talent level 10, he would deal 1.11% of his max HP per stack when he uses his elemental skill. So, the aggregate would add up to about few hundred thousand (300k-350k) for an average player at C0 per elemental skill. Since his skill CD is about 12s, it is a decent amount of DMG for a DPS. In addition, initiating his burst, stacks 20% additional DMG to this overall DMG output. That makes him stand out of other DPS characters when it comes to consistency in DMG.

At C0, he can be safely set at 8th rank in our list.

7. Raiden Shogun

Raiden Shogun, God of Eternity and Electro Archon

The God of Electro, who has never set a foot in a kitchen, fights with so much power, that even the weakest of elements so far, is portrayed overpowered. Raiden Shogun only takes 7th place in our rankings because the electro reactions do not scale like melt and vaporize reactions do. However, regardless of that, she deals consistent damage that aggregates to a huge number at the end of her field time.

Raiden Shogun’s kit is made to complement her support characters as well (which is why she would be an awesome support character.). Once she does her elemental skill, other characters’ DMG will be buffed with electro and will deal a coordinated attack. This can be 75.6% at talent level 10 , which is decent for off field DMG. Moreover, her elemental skill allows other support characters’ burst DMG to gain additional DMG depending on their energy costs.

Raiden’s burst has a immense scaling of 721.44% at talent level 10. Her DMG output goes even higher with ER (0.4% Electro DMG bonus per 1% of ER above 100%).

Her versatility as a DPS and a support “shines eternal” (if you know what I mean), when she has constellations. Since we are considering C0, we can put her at rank 7. The amount of investment you need to do is also average. However, she can go up to the top 3 if you get her constellations.

6. Arataki Itto

Arataki Itto, Leader of the Arataki Gang

This Oni with 1% brain and 99% kaboom comes at the 6th place in our rankings. Itto’s normal attack DMG scales decently and, just like Eula, he gains stacks of “Superlative Superstrength” which deal about 377.4% DMG at talent level 10.

Itto’s Ushi (elemental skill) hits like a truck sometimes dealing six digit numbers. At his talent level 10, Ushi would deal 552.96% of DMG, which is one of the highest of scalings for an elemental skill a character has so far.

While his normal and charged attacks are good enough, once he unleashes his burst, he reaches about 50k average DMG per strike, which is massive. This scales with flat DEF. At talent level 10, this would account for 103.68% of his DEF and this stacks with his normal and charged attack percentages.

The only thing that is holding him back is the Geo element. Its reactions with other elements are not that impressive. However, regardless of that, Itto makes a good DPS at his C0 and you need some amount of investment on him.

5. Xiao

Xiao, Last remaining one of the five Vigilant Yakshas

This edgy demon slayer never ceases to amaze the players with his insane plunging attacks using his burst. He obliterates the enemy without even giving them a chance to breathe. With his recently released artifacts, Xiao has become one of the most overpowered characters in the game.

With exponential scaling on plunging attacks and burst, Xiao deals even more damage when other elements are infused with his Anemo application. At talent level 10, his plunging attack DMG would go up to 404.02%. This stacks with his elemental burst, which adds 95.2% DMG at talent level 10.

Although you need to do some high investments on his CRIT DMG, it will be worth it once you take him on the field. He jumps so high up into the air; he can easily dodge many of the boss attacks and keep dealing plunging attack DMG to them constantly. With an average build you can see about 50k in DMG per stack.

Moreover, his elemental skill DMG also deals about 455.04% DMG at talent level 10. This makes him deal consistent DMG regardless of the type of attack he does. At his C0, we can safely rank him at rank 5 because of this.

4. Eula

Eula Lawrence, Spindrift Knight of the Knights of Favonius

If you want to see DMG above 1 million, you should run your party with this character. Eula is a walking nuke waiting to evaporate her enemies into thin air. But, there is a catch. Eula needs heavy investments if you expect her to deal millions of DMG. Not only that but also, she has limited team comps. That is the only reason sheis at rank 4 but not at rank 1.

Eula is a physical DMG DPS. Eula’s normal attack percentages at level 10, from attack 1 - 5 adds up to 1093.54% of DMG, which is insane as an aggregate. But, that’s not where the beauty lies in her attack.

As you continue to do normal attacks, she will gain stacks of “Grimheart”, maximum up to 2. These Grimheart stacks increase her resistance to interruption. In addition, when you do an elemental skill (hold), these stacks will blow and deal AoE physical DMG to the opponents while decreasing their physical RES and Cryo RES by 25% each. At the talent level 10, she would deal about 442.08% DMG.

The real banger comes with her elemental burst. Once she deals the elemental burst, she summons a “Lightfall Sword” which lasts for 7s before it explodes. This Lightfall Sword can stack up to 30 stacks of charge. These stacks are gained through her normal attacks, elemental skill DMG and Grimheart bursts(elemental skill hold). Her elemental burst scales up to 442.08% (burst DMG) + 725.56% (lightfall sword base DMG). This is huge and it keeps adding up.

As I mentioned earlier, she can gain 30 stacks of charge for thisLightfall Sword. Each stack would add 148.24% to the light fall sword. At 30 stacks (Which you should do within 7s) she would deal, 5172.76% DMG (added the base DMG of lightfall sword as well) theoretically. This is how Eula accounts for millions of DMG.

But again, there is a catch. You can never do this when youare at C0. So, it is unrealistic at C0. At C6, I think I can safely say that she is the number 1. Another reason is that, stacking her DMG takes a lot of practice, as there are certain techniques to optimize the output.

She slaps hard even at C0. Now imagine if you had C6. Thereis another reason why we took her down on the ranking. The enemies like Abyss Lectors and Abyss Heralds have tough shields that break only when you do elemental reactions. Eula can be useless against enemies like this.

3. Kamisato Ayaka

Kamisato Ayaka, Shirasagi Himegimi

Although Ayaka’s burst seems to have average scalings, it deals repeated damage that adds up to massive numbers. At level 10, she deals 202.14% DMG per slash continuously. In addition, the bloom DMG is 303.21%. This adds up to one of the biggest damage dealing bursts in the game. However, her burst does not have that much of an AoE like some other characters. Hence, this is most effective on a single enemy or a mob that is grouped together.

Also, her elemental skill scales exponentially. Once her weapon is infused with Cryo after her skill, she will continue to deal Cryo DMG to the opponents. At talent level 10, she would deal 430.56% DMG. Also, the enemies within that AoE would be launched away from her.

With average investments, you can expect Ayaka to deal the best DMG with the right team comps. For an example, with Cryo resonance and grouping with Anemo characters (like Kazuha), Ayaka builds a team that cannot be matched with any other team comp in the game so far.

Because of her versatility in her kit, she can fit into many team comps as well. At C0, she can confidently stand at rank 3 and not lower.

2. Hu Tao

Hu Tao, Director at the Wansheng Funeral Parlor

This playful and too sarcastic Wansheng Funeral Parlor director means business when it comes to damage dealing. The lower the HP, the better for her. She loses about 30% of her HP while using her elemental skill. Imagine dealing so much damage that even you lose your own HP (just like Xiao but even more).

Hu Tao’s ATK increases with her max HP. All her normal, charged and plunging attacks deal pyro DMG and they gain a 6.26% of max HP as additional ATK. If her HP is lower than 50%, her pyro DMG is increased by 33%. So, you want to keep her at a low HP to see some insane DMG.

Her elemental burst deals even more damage while restoring her HP. At talent level 10, she would deal 617.44% DMG at a low HP. Hu Tao requires a considerable amount of investment if you want to get the best out of her. With the Staff of Homa, she hits like a truck doing her duty; sending bad guys to the other world. At C0, she shines bright within the top 3 ranks. With careful consideration, we decided to put her at rank 2 because of her effective AoE compared to Ayaka.

1. Ganyu

Ganyu, Adepti and Secretary of the Liyue Qixing

The real OG was, is and most probably will be Ganyu. No character is so broken like Ganyu so far in Genshin Impact. With average investment and Amo’s Bow in hand, Ganyu will deal over 60k DMG with her charged shots with no buffs.

No other character can deal DMG like Ganyu does within a short period of time. You might say a well-built Eula or an Ayaka would do. Yes, thatis true but, the investment you need to do on them is really high compared to Ganyu. Now imagine, a well invested Ganyu killing a floor within seconds in the Spiral Abyss.

Ganyu’s charged shots deal 230.4%+391.68% (622.08) at the talent level 10. Need I say more? You will be delivering consistent and high-scaled DMG to your enemies with an adequate AoE with your charged shots.

Ganyu’s elemental skill leaves an Ice Lotus that distracts enemies, drawing them towards it, so that you can shoot them from a safe distance or get away from the threat temporarily. After its duration, it blasts dealing Cryo DMG to the surrounding enemies. At talent level 10, it would deal 237.6% DMG, which is more than enough.

Her elemental burst has one of the biggest AoE in the game. It deals Cryo DMG to enemies by throwing Ice Shards on them randomly. At level 10, it deals 126.49% DMG. But, the interesting thing is that, if you are within this AoE, your charged attacks would gain an additional 20% of Cryo DMG.

Even at C0, nobody comes even close to her when it comes to damage dealing. She is one of the most broken characters in the game and I do not believe they would create another one like that, at least in the near future.

Which characters are the most useful in the Spiral Abyss?

Genshin Impact stands out from other games of its type by its creative character designs. Mainly we can categorize them under three categories. DPS, Support and Healing characters. Every character in this game has unique abilities that cannot be compared with one another. As the famous saying goes, “You don’t compare a fish to a monkey for their unique abilities. One is good at swimming while the other is good at climbing.”

In a similar manner as mentioned above, we put a lot of thought and created a list of top 10 most used characters in Genshin Impact. The criteria we chose to categorize them was their usage in the Spiral Abyss. There is a good reason for that.

Over the time we have had different sorts of Spiral Abyss moon spires. They grant wide varied capabilities to the characters. MOST OF THE TIME THEY TRY TO BUFF THE FEATURED BANNER CHARACTER’S ABILITIES. However, regardless of that, there is a set of characters that proved to be consistently valuable in each and every one of these Spiral Abysses.

10. Kamisato Ayaka

Kamisato Ayaka, Shiresagi Himegimi

Kamisato Ayaka is the combination of beauty, innocence and elegance imbued in the sense of responsibility. Widely used as a DPS, Ayaka literally deals “cold” and ruthless strikes leaving not a moment to the enemy.

While Ayaka’s normal strikes bring in decent DMG, her elemental skill takes the most out of her. With insane scaling with talent level ups, her elemental skill launches enemies up within its AoE dealing Cryo DMG. At talent level 10, she deals 430.56% DMG.

Ayaka’s burst deals continuous Cryo DMG to the enemy in front of her. With a well-built Ayaka, you can expect an aggregate of 150k-200k DMG and even more from this burst, if dealt correctly. This burst is not mobile and this is most effective for an enemy that does not move around much.

Ayaka’s passive talents come in handy in the spiral abyss as well. After dealing the elemental skill, she deals 30% increased DMG for 6s with her normal and charged attacks. In addition, at the end of her alternate sprint, if it hits and enemy, Ayaka gains 18% Cryo DMG bonus for 10s.

Ayaka’s C2, C4 and C6 constellations make her absolutely cracked. At her C2, she gains two smaller Frostflake Seko No To’s (Burst) that deals 20% of Frostflake’s DMG each. Ayaka’s C4 debuffs enemy’s DEF by 30% after being hit by her burst. At her C6, she gains “Usurahi Butou” which increases her charged attack DMG by 298%. This buff resets after she deals a charged shot.

Why is Ayaka ranked at 10th?

Ayaka deals insane damage and there is no doubt about it. However, given the circumstances in the Spiral Abyss, her burst not being mobile is a downside. If you miss the enemy or if the enemy moves from its place, the burst would be wasted. Her burst is mostly valuable against relatively less mobile enemies like Abyss Lectors. Moreover, not many people have had the chance to get her in her first banner. We can expect a change of rankings after her rerun that is going on right now.

9. Venti

Venti, God of Anemo

The carefree God of Anemo continued to prove his worth ever since his first release, despite being drunk in a tavern almost all the time. What makes our tone-deaf bard so valuable in the spiral abyss?

Venti’s elemental skill (hold) creates a wind domain where Venti is the epicenter. This deals AoE Anemo DMG and launches opponents within this area up in the air. Opponents would fall to the ground slowly. If other elements were within the AoE, they would be infused with Anemo and deal swirl reaction.

The elemental skill scaling is very high where 684% at level 10 and 807.5% at level 13.

Venti’s burst sucks in the opponents and deals Anemo DMG and if some other elements are infused with it, it would deal swirl reaction DMG as well. Venti is most effective in crowd controlling as you can gather them up and deal DMG.

At his C2, the elemental skill decreases opponent’s Anemo and physical RES by 12% FOR 10s. Opponents that are launched up by the elemental skill take additional debuff of 12% Anemo and physical RES while they are airborne. When Venti picks up an elemental orb or a particle, his C4 allows him to gain 25% Anemo DMG bonus for 10s. At his C6, enemies within the burst area decrease Anemo RES by 20% and if an element were infused with it, they would lose 20% of that elemental RES as well.

Why is Venti ranked at 9th?

Although Venti provides good DMG, new players have not had the chance to play him, as he had not had a rerun for a long time. In fact, he was the first non-standard banner to be released. In addition, Kazuha who does almost the same job, does it better with his kit. However, unlike Kazuha, Venti can deal damage from a distance.

8. Ganyu

Ganyu, Adepti and Secretary of the Liyue Qixing

This here is the real OG in the game dealing 20k-30k in an average charged shot with a medium build. When it comes to DPS she’s undoubtedly at the top of everyone’s lists. So what makes this Cryo queen so over powered?

Ganyu levels up with CRIT DMG. Her level 2 charged shots deal 230.41% plus 391.68% (frost flake bloom) DMG. If your bow scales with ATK (like Amo’s Bow), this DMG can be even higher. You can expect around 20k to 30k DMG per charged shot with a medium build this way.

Her burst deals 15 seconds of ice shards falling on enemies with a huge AoE.

Ganyu’s passive talents bring a great value to her. After firing a level 2 charged shot, CRIT rate of the subsequent charged shots are increased by 20%. Not only that but also her burst grants 20% Cryo DMG bonus to the active party members in the AoE.

While she is already good at C0, her C1 and C4 bring her beyond God level. Her C1 decreases Cryo RES of the enemies by 15% for 6s while her C4 makes the opponents within the AoE of her burst take increased DMG. That is around 5% every 3 seconds up to 25%.

Why is Ganyu ranked at 8th?
You could probably be shocked as to why Ganyu is ranked at 8th while almost all other tier lists rank her at the top. The reason is that, mobile players find it quite difficult to aim and shoot every time when she is on the field. Moreover, regardless of using mobile or console, if you are bad at dodging attacks, Ganyu becomes very vulnerable and she can die easily on the field.

7. Xiangling

Xiangling, Chef at Wanmin Restaurant

Xiangling is a free 4 star character that everyone can get after completing her quest. As a standard banner character, you can easily get her constellations. Xiangling is one of the characters that has proved her worth ever since she was introduced to the game. So what does this curious chef has to offer to our Meta party?

Xiangling is mostly used as a support character for Pyro application. Her elemental skill (Guoba Attack) and her burst (Pyronado) can deal decent Pyro DMG with a great AoE. Her Pyronado deals constant DMG to the surrounding opponents even while she is off field. This burst moves with you and not fixed to a surface like many other character bursts.

She gets cracked when she gets her C4, which increases the duration of Pyronado, by 40%. At her C6, she provides 15% Pyro DMG bonus to the rest of the party as well.

She can act as a decent DPS for your early game (before AR 40-AR 45) with minimum investment.

Why is Xiangling ranked at 7th?

Xiangling’s Guoba attack (elemental skill) can be useless with constantly moving enemies. Although her burst deals decent DMG, players have found other characters to be more useful than her in the current scenarios in the Spiral Abyss. However, she is still being used more than many of the five stars out there because of her off field DMG with Pyronado.

6. Hu Tao

Hu Tao, Director at Wansheng Funeral Parlor

The up and coming mascot of Genshin Impact who continues to replace Paimon with her perks, is one of the most destructive damage dealers in Genshin Impact. This surprisingly intimidating Director of Wansheng Funeral Parlor is the best pyro DPS character that is designed to cremate her clients before they even notice it.

Hu Tao’s elemental skill deals DMG based on her max HP. However, this cannot exceed 400% of her base ATK. She loses 30% of her HP while initiating her elemental skill. Her burst regenerates a percentage of her HP. When her HP is lower than 50%, both DMG and HP regeneration are increased. Not only that but also, when her elemental skill ends, the party members would gain 12% CRIT rate for 8 seconds.

Her passive skill allows her to gain 33% pyro DMG bonus when her HP is lower than 50%. That is why people want her to be on low HP.

Hu Tao has some insane constellations. We picked two of the most important constellations for you. Hu Tao’s C2 increases elemental skill DMG by 10% of her max HP. Remember; this stacks with the original DMG as well. Her C6 take effect when her HP is below 25% or when she takes a critical hit. She will not die but instead, she will gain 200% physical RES and 100% CRIT rate. Her resistance to interception is also increased. This takes effect when her HP is at 1 as well.

Why is Hu Tao ranked at 6th?
You could probably be wondering why one of the best DPS in the game are ranked at 6th in this list. That is because of the corrosion effect that was introduced to the game recently. She works well at a low HP rate but without her constellations, she can be highly vulnerable to a group of Rifthounds. Because of that reason, she is not used as much as you would expect in the Spiral Abyss.

5. Raiden Shogun

Raiden Shogun, God of Eternity and Electro Archon

The electro mommy who cannot cook comes next in our list. She is one of the most versatile or if not, the most versatile character in the game. Be it DPS, be it support she has got it all in her kit. It would be a mistake if I do not mention that Raiden Shogun makes the so-called “weakest element” in Genshin Impact look like the most overpowered and catastrophic element in the game.

Raiden Shogun levels up with ER. Her elemental skill would buff the current character’s burst damage based on the energy cost of the burst. Her burst regenerates energy for all nearby party members. Not only that but also, the resistance to interruption is increased. While her burst is active, her normal, charged and plunging DMG becomes elemental burst DMG.

Her passive skills let her gain 0.6% of energy restoration from burst and 0.4% electro DMG bonus for each 1% above 100% ER. So, remember to scale her up with ER.

At her C2, while using Mosou No Hitachi and in the Mosou Isshin state (after applying the burst) her attacks ignore 60% of opponent’s DEF. That accounts for some insane DMG. When her burst expires, her C4 allows her nearby party members gain 30% ATK bonus for 10s.

Why is Raiden Shogun ranked at 5th?

Raiden Shogun has proven herself constantly on the field to be a great DPS and a support. She is one of the most pulled characters in the entire game. Because of her versatility, she fits into many team comps. As a DPS and a support, she finds uses more than many other five star characters.

4. Xingqiu

Xingqiu, Second son of the Manager of Feiyun Commerce Guild

Another 4-star hydro character with a messed up haircut brings your burst up with ER and Hydro DMG before you blink twice. Xingqiu is the one you use to get your bursts up. Not only of Xingqiu’s but also of others. You give him a sacrificial sword and he will take care of the rest.

Xingqiu’s elemental skill deals two consecutive strikes to the enemy with hydro DMG. In addition, these skills are well balanced as they increase in talent levels. The “Rainswords” that are created after using the elemental skill blocks some amount of DMG dealt by enemies and increases your RES to their attacks. Xingqiu’s burst stabs the enemy with hydro swords dealing hydro DMG. This deals DMG as you do the normal attacks.

Xingqiu’s passive talent brings in 20% Hydro DMG as well. With his versatile skillset, his constellations make him God tier. Especially C4 and C6. As Xingqiu is a standard banner character, you can get his constellations easily. His C4 increases the burst DMG by 50%, which is insane and his C6 enhances the third sword rain dealt by his burst. It also generates energy by 3 units.

Why is Xingqiu ranked at 4th?

Because of his availability as a free 4-star character and his consistent hydro applications, he is being used a lot in many team comps. Not only that but also, his Rainswords heal you after they expire. Xingqiu’s ER gets his burst up with just two strikes if you use the sacrificial sword and most of the time he helps getting others’ burst up as well. His burst also works off field and deals some decent DMG. Because of that, people use him a lot.

3. Bennett

Bennett, Unlucky Adventurer

Bennett is a four star character who has proved himself over almost all of the spiral abyss and domain challenges as a support character in all the patches that has been released so far.

So, what does this unlucky adventurer brings into the table that makes him stand out even among many 5-star characters? Two words “Buff” and “Heal”.

Bennett’s burst at his C0, heals characters if their HP is below 70% and gives an ATK buff if their HP is over 70%. However, what you should keep in mind is that, his healing is scaled with his HP and his ATK buff is scaled with base ATK. So remember to use a high base ATK weapon on him, like Alley Flash.

If the enemies are within the AoE of his burst, they are imbued with pyro. At his level 10 burst talent, he would heal 10.8% of max HP + 1270 and deal 100.8% ATK buff. Which means double the DMG you make if you are within the burst AoE. At level 13, the healing would get 12.70% max HP+1588 and 119% ATK buff.

Bennett is a four star character and he is easy to obtain from wishing on any banner as he is on the permanent wish banner. Hence, his constellations can easily be obtained unlike 5-star characters. His C1 and C5 constellations give him the best buffs. His C1 removes the HP restriction and the burst gains 20% additional DMG for his base ATK. His C5 increases burst level by 3.

Why Bennett is ranked at 3rd?

Although Bennett is a 4 star, his ability of buffing ATK and healing had come in handy for almost everyone who plays in the Spiral Abyss. He is just too good.

2. Zhongli

Zhongli (Morax), Geo Archon and Consultant at Wansheng Funeral Parlor

The CEO of GEO comes next with irreplaceable perks. He is an archon and that is exactly what he brings into the table. Zhongli is one of the most used Geo characters in the spiral abyss.

The shield he provides with his elemental skill (hold) scales with his HP and it is almost unbreakable. Despite being nerfed for corrosion by Rifthounds, Zhongli’s shield does more than you think.

Once you usethe elemental skill (hold), it creates a stone stele and a shield (Jade Shield) for you. This shield not only protects you but also decreases physical and elemental RES of the surrounding enemies within its relatively small vicinity. Not only that but also the stone stele drains Geo RES from enemies and deals Geo DMG.

Ah, you wish it were over but sorry to disappoint you, there is more. Zhongli’s burst (Planet Befall) scales massively as the talents level up. At the talent level 10, it would deal 899.72% DMG while at level 13 it would deal 1084% DMG. Not only that but also, this burst petrifies enemies for a few seconds just like the frozen reaction. In fact, Zhongli is the only character that can petrify enemies like this.

Zhongli’s constellations are super cracked. Notably, C2, C4 and C6. At the C2, Zhongli’s burst grants shields to all the team members on the field. If you were going Co-Op to clear a domain, it would be impossible for your enemies to kill you. At the C4, Zhongli’s burst AoE increases by 20% and the petrification duration of enemies is increased by 2 seconds. At his C6, Zhongli’s shield absorbs the incoming DMG and heals the current character by 8% of their HP.

Why Zhongli is ranked at 2nd?

Zhongli’s shield is everything. He provides an unbreakable shield that will protect you against any enemy except for the Rifthounds. Not only that but also his burst scaling is very high and it petrifies enemies, which is highly useful in the Spiral Abyss. So, almost everyone uses him for the most of the Spiral Abyss floors.

1. Kaedehara Kazuha

Kaedehara Kazuha, Samurai

Probably you saw this coming miles away. Yes, our very own Kaedehara Kazuha, the poet with the pen and the killer with the sword, is the most used character in Genshin Impact spiral abyss. That is for a good reason.

Kazuha is an Anemo character, which means, he deals ‘swirl’ elemental damage. As you may already know that, the EM is the form factor for elemental reaction DMGs. Kazuha builds with EM and his talent scaling and constellations are especially designed to do insane reactions.

Let me throw around some facts here for you to understand. His elemental skill (hold) draws in surrounding enemies, takes him a little up in the air and deals AoE Anemo DMG. In addition, if some other element were applied in its vicinity, it would absorb that and make a swirl reaction. Even a medium build Kazuha can evaporate enemies like nothing with this skill.

Kazuha’s burst also scales insanely and deals AoE AnemoDMG while reacting with other elements as well.

Moreover, his passive talent called “Soumon Swordsmanship” lets his skill DMG deal 200% more ATK with that swirl reaction.

Why is Kazuha ranked at 1st?

Kazuha helps mostly in crowd control, which is most crucial in the Spiral Abyss. In addition, the swirl DMG he does can kill any enemy with ease. Anemo is one of the best elements in the game, which can deal DMG infused with other elements. Kazuha’s scalings are basically made for killer level DMG. Almost everyone uses him because he never ceases to disappoint you in the Spiral Abyss.

1. Snake

Snake is not the easiest character to use, and it can take time to adjust to his weight, size, and unorthodox attacks, but when you do, you can just set up an impenetrable wall of projectiles and traps and still have great options to battle up close. If you want to pin down your enemies, snake is a solid option.

2. Min min

ARMS. That's basically it, ridiculously long arms. Min min´s attacks consist of three long-range punches that all have different perks and uses. These different weapons let you choose and adapt to what you need in the match, from a fast and keep away game, to a devastating blow.

3. Byleth

This character screams“get away”. Byleth has a plethora of attacks that not only have a ton of range but reward you for hitting your opponent with the very last part of your attack. Not only that, but using their powerful bow, you can pressure your rivals from far away.

4. Villager

I have a question for you. Have you hit your enemies with a tree? Do you want to? Villager let you do that, and that is just one of their tools, they also have a lot of decent long-range attacks to deal a ton of damage from afar. You can cover all the stage or even the recovery of your opponents, dropping a bowling ball in their head.

5. Simon/Richter

The Belmonts have inherited most of the qualities of their moveset from their origin series, Castlevania. This means that you will not be fighting up close as most of your normal attacks have a decent range and while this is great, their specials are where they shine the most. While your enemies are composing themselves from getting hit by a projectile they've already been hit with another.

6. Megaman

Again, this is a beautifully adapted character, where they fit perfectly in smash while still keeping the characteristics of the games they come from. This reflects in Megaman with a great number of projectiles, some examples are its great charged shot smash, a throwable leaf shield, and its staple energy pellets that are weak but annoying.

7. Link

Not only does Link's sword help you keep other players at bay, but its specials shine not only from their damage and range, they´re versatile too, its boomerang can help you break up combos and set up combos of your own. The bomb can be an additional projectile or a trap and the bow will allow you to snipe enemies offstage.

8. Pacman

Let's get straight to the point: Pacman has a rotation of 8 different fruits to chuck at its enemies, each one of them with different attributes and damage outputs. So your imagination is the only thing stopping you from using its full moveset to the maximum.

9. Samus/Dark Samus

Missiles and a charge shot, those two moves sum up the entirety of samus´ game plan, but hey “if it ain't broke don't fix it”. But what if my opponent is hiding behind its shield? Don't worry! You have a long-range tether grab that will keep them on their toes.

10. Rob

The Famicom robot is a big target but with a big hurtbox come big hitboxes, Rob can stuff attacks with big powerful attacks like back air or neutral air, and also have a powerful laser beam and a gyro to control the space and cover all of their enemies options.

Tekken 7 Best DLC characters (ranked from worst to best)

Tekken has a wide variety of characters to choose from. Tekken 7 was technically the first game to incorporate DLC and some of the reception has been mixed. This list will rank the DLC characters from worst to best and help you make the best decision in your Tekken journey.

15. Negan

One of the most “random” entries to a Tekken game (Like Gon from Tekken 3). Negan from the walking dead series enters Tekken as a hard-hitting poking character. He seems strong on paper, Having long reach with his bat, A stance for mix-ups, and decent damage. Negan, unfortunately, is very linear. His moves can easily be sidestepped. Some people compare him to Miguel (Although Miguel is Cooler, fight me).

14. Anna

The sadistic younger sister of Nina, Anna has been in Tekken since the first game. In comparison to Nina, Anna is much easier to pick up and learn. While Nina is more serious and cold-blooded, Anna is more playful and flirtatious. The reason she's ranked low is due to her block punishment and poor tracking moves. On top of that, you have to commit to using her effectively.

13. Lei

You can't have a 3D fighting game without a master of Drunken Boxing. You have Brad Wong (DOA) and Shun Di (Virtua fighter), But then there is Lei. Lei has a whopping 13 STANCES in his arsenal, which is both a blessing and a curse. This is what makes him one of the most complex and tricky characters on the roster. Like Yoshimitsu, you can freestyle with Lei. No one Lei will ever play the same, I mean the guy has damn near 200 MOVES in his move list there is a lot to work with. Block punishment being bad and complexity is what makes him low on this list.

12. Eliza

I'll feed on you nice and slow later - Eliza

Eliza Showcase

Eliza was the first ever character to introduce the concept of meter in a Tekken game. Winning in a fan vote, Eliza debuted in Tekken revolution, A free play game (Honestly, the less said about that game, the better). Eliza has a fun mechanic involving her sleeping (she's a vampire). She can simply gain meter by sleeping mid-match, while at a slow pace. She has the traditional move list of a Shoto from Street Fighter. A dragon punch, Projectile, and a tatsu of some sort. Another bonus is that she can suck your blood to steal health from you. She has a limited number of lows, with one of them exclusive to a stance. This makes her opening you up rather difficult. She also requires execution to play, Just like geese and Akuma.

11. Armor King

If you were to summarize Armor king, he is a Mishima with a throw game. He has a wavedash and a whiff Punisher with dark upper. I've spent time with Armor king and he is a decent character, but his combo damage, besides launching with dark upper, is not the best. His tracking can also be poor as well and it feels like you have to work hard for so little. With that being said, Armor King isn't a bad character to learn the game with, just be ready to work hard right out of the gate.

10. Ganryu

The sumo archetype and one of the most annoying characters to fight, Ganryu returns to stalk Julia in Tekken 7. He can deal big damage and has a very fun move list. You can troll your opponents all day with Ganryu, because how can they know what they’re gonna do If you yourself don't know?

9. Noctis

Noctis is too busy to fight it seems

Noctis Showcase

Hailing from the Final Fantasy series, Noctis enters the fight. He uses swords in his fighting style and while he would’ve been a better fit for Soul Calibur, they put him in Tekken. His inclusion was a bit controversial at first. Over time, players have gotten better at dealing with him. He can still be annoying at times, with some of his moves having funky hitboxes, but he is overall an alright addition to the game.

8. Kunimitsu

Such a nice looking moon, and Kunimitsu is cool I guess

Cool Character, Annoying to fight against. Kunimitsu returns to Tekken 7. However, it's not the real Kunitmitsu!? Instead, it's the original's daughter. Kunimitsu has an array of Evasive moves and shenanigans. She's a ninja, so her Modus Operandi is to trick you, and yes, annoy you. She can struggle to open you up though if you are on point with your defense, but that's where the cheap moves come into play. Am I right?

7. Marduk

POV: He's gonna throw you

The MMA Fighter that debuted in Tekken 4, Returns to Tekken 7. Marduk can deploy Dummie Damage with his combos and hard-hitting throws. His 50/50 can also be dangerous with his tackle, needing to guess on which hand he will use. He is also a tall character, so his movement won't be the best, but his reach makes up for it. You know the more you look at him, the more he starts to look like Kratos from the original God of war games, no? Just me? Okay.

6. Geese

Geese Showcase

Crime boss of South Town, The goose is loose in Tekken 7. He was the first DLC character to be added in Tekken. He sports the meter mechanic like Akuma and Like KOF, Geese is not an easy character and requires execution to pull off his most damaging combos. If you like laughing while falling off of skyscrapers, Geese will be for you.

5. Zafina

She forsees your death

Zafina is what we call a “Lab Character.” Her moves are so gimmicky, you have to look at them in training mode to get a better understanding of them. Her fighting style is so out there the name it was given was Ancient assassination arts. She originates from Egypt and she sealed Azazel (Boss from Tekken 6) in her body, which explains her strange hand.

4. Lidia

Lidia Showcase

The prime minister of Poland Lidia debuts in Tekken as the premier Karate practitioner. She packs a mean punch, with her explosive damage and mixups. A welcome addition to the roster indeed. Not to mention, she can get a limo on top of a skyscraper (G corp stage).

3. Leroy

Quite golden indeed

Leroy Showcase

“You got nothing.” This character easily has the coolest lines in the game. Leroy was a nightmare when he was first released back in late 2019. Thankfully, he's been toned down, but still is viable. The dude has a pimp cane AND a dog, you can't get better than that.

2. Julia

Remember to stay eco-friendly!

Julia Showcase

Tree hugger extraordinaire and streamer, Julia returns to Tekken. She has everything you need: Throws and mixups, you got it. Her combos will require a bit of execution to pull off, but nothing crazy like Geese or Akuma's combos. Make sure you don't cosplay as a sumo wrestler, otherwise she might knock you out.

1. Fahkumram

This is the last person i'd get into a fight with

Fahkumram replaces bruce (sucks, I know) as the Muay Thai fighter in Tekken. He has long limbs, good pokes, but him being a big body makes him an easy target. Don't let his imposing demeanor fool you. Like Guile, the man is fighting for his family and will do anything to save them.

15: Pac-man

Pac-man is as might a foe as he is (somewhat) simple

Pac-man, hailing from the Pac-man series crazily enough, was one of many third party characters added to Smash 4. As a fighter from an older generation of games, Pac-man has a very different but simple gameplay style at the beginner level. His projectiles are easy to understand, with other mechanics that might take some getting used to but are far simpler than some characters.

Pac-man also grants incredible room for growth, as he is considered a top 10 character by many pros for some of the tricks he can pull off and the overall power of his character.

14: Snake

Moving on from one generational symbol to the next, Snake from Metal Gear Solid pops in right above Pac-man. While Pac-man is relatively easy to understand, Snake is simply more powerful and easier to understand. You throw a bomb, they blow up. You hit them, they disappear.

13: Simon/Richter

Simon (and Richter) break forward to vanquish demons with simple tools and a mighty whip

While Snake may be powerful and a great zoner, Simon and Richter are simply easier to use than those before them. Because of their massive, disjointed hitboxes as well as their multiple, impossible to avoid projectiles. For beginners, these fighters will be one of the first options they come to.

12: King K. Rool

King K. Rool truly delivers to both long awaitng fans and newcomers to the Smash Series alike

You might be noticing a trend here, and that would be that often the best characters are zoners. King K. Rool is an amazing beginner zoner, with incredibly powerful projectiles and an incredible passive ability with his belly armor on half his kit. If you’re first approaching this character, you’re guaranteed to beat your friends game after game.

11: Joker

Joker, the second of the twelve DLC characters, is a top three character in the pro scene and barely outside of the top ten beginner characters. 10: Terry

Command inputs aren't necessary when utilizing the simply fury of Terry Bogard

Many people would think that a traditional fighting game character would be a terrible option for beginners due to their command inputs and difficult combos, however Terry solves all of these issues. Terry is incredibly viable even without command inputs and combos, and because of this is perfect as a character a player can learn the game with.

9: Sonic

Sheer speed allows for some incredibly thoughtless gameplay

Sonic is one of the most recognizable faces in gaming (however there are dozens of those now), and as such is beginner friendly like other such family faces. With his kit consisting of very simplistic spin moves, a wonderful recovery, and of course the fastest moves around, Sonic opens up hundreds of possibilities for beginner players to explore with.

8: R.O.B.

Sometimes I wonder if playing R.O.B. doesn't just replace me with an A.I.

Possibly the most polarizing position on this list for experienced players, R.O.B. is a fighter that an animal could probably win with. However, it isn’t as beginner friendly as the fighters above him on this list. R.O.B. 's robotic prowess with flight, some of the fastest tilts in the game, projectiles, invulnerability and combos will make him seem like one of the best fighters to new players.

7: Mario

Thanks to Mario’s above average recovery, quick and safe moves plus his “Jack of all trades” character design, he’s perfect for any beginner to just pick up and play.

Ike may be simple in character structure, but it won't be simple trying to explain how he holds that sword with one hand

With no conflicting hitboxes, a massive weapon and a great recovery with powerful moves, Ike is a simple to understand and easy to use character.

3: Ness

I hate this kid with a burning passion because of his mindnumbing simplicity

Ness, hailing from a series gone but not forgotten is by and large one of the most annoying and yet easy to grasp fighters in the game. Due in large part to his exceptional, yet sometimes difficult recovery, as well as his “Button-mashing” type game style allows for anyone to pick up the character and do well. However, a word of caution: Do not do this if you care about your friendships.

2: Samus

The galaxy's most dangerous bounty hunter is also the second most easy to understand character, surprising huh?

Moving on, we have Samus, the galaxy’s deadliest bounty hunter, and also the second easiest character to understand. While her Zero Suit counterpart is one of the more difficult characters to use, Samus is the most simplistic zoning character in the game, which makes no sense because her games require complex and precise and often infuriating movements. Her kit follows a simple blueprint: special moves are projectiles or a bomb of some sort, and normals are used for close combat.

What makes Samus good for beginners:

Incredibly long grab range
Fast and directional moves
Projectiles allow for less direct interactions
Good recovery for learning

Quite literally the single most well-designed fighter for beginners, Kirby has always been the starter character. In Teyvat, a world where the energy of seven elements can be used, people with ambitions strong enough may be recognized by the gods and be granted a Vision. These allow them the ability to use and manipulate the element of the Vision that was granted to them, giving them unique and strong skills.

Each playable character in Genshin Impact has its own Vision of a particular element: Anemo, Pyro, Cryo, Hydro, Electro, Geo, and Dendro. This element is associated with cold or ice, the elemental attacks of characters with Cryo Visions usually create weapons such as blades to attack enemies. This element is great to slow the enemies' movement or even freeze them with the right elemental reaction, it’s used to create other powerful reactions as well.

Diona

Ganyu: She’s an Adeptus from Liyue, who just as Xiao and the rest of them, have vowed to protect Liyue. Ganyu was frowned upon days before her release. Diona: A bartender with feline features, such as ears and a tail. Diona is a support and healer, she does very little damage, but in exchange, you get the second strongest shield in the game and great healing from her Elemental Burst. She’s a valuable character in any team composition.

Hydro

Hydro is a versatile element with many useful reactions

Hydro is the element associated with water. It has powerful reactions and some that are really useful such as Frozen and or Vaporize. Hydro is an element that works well in many teams, especially if you know the elemental reactions, with some strategy you can produce the most efficient reaction for the right situation.

Tartaglia
Mona

Tartaglia: The 11th of the Fatui Harbingers, also the character that applies this element fastest to large groups of enemies in the whole game so far, this translates into the opportunity of hitting all these enemies with another element to affect them all at once. Although he has a tricky Elemental Skill, Tartaglia works wonders as a Sub-DPS or main DPS.

Mona: An astrologist who is frequently at the edge of bankruptcy because she spends all of her Mora in astrological gadgets. Still, mona acts as an efficient DPS or as heavy-hitter Support for your whole team.

Geo

Geo Archon Morax (AKA Zhongli) is one of the most popular in the game

This element is related to earth. It excels against pretty much all the other elements so far revealed in the game, its elemental reactions with Pyro, Hydro, Electro, and Cryo generate shards that grant you a shield of the element it reacted to. These shields are particularly resistant to their own element.

Zhongli

Albedo: He’s The Chief Alchemist of the Favonius Knights. Albedo is an awesome example of an off-field support character. The damage from his Elemental Skill can reach high standards and its cooldown is the lowest so far. He’s focused to be a support but can be a good DPS too.

Zhongli: The Geo archon is another character that is considered one of the best in the entire game. This is because his Elemental Skill provides you with the strongest shield so far, plus he has an Ultimate ability that hits hard and petrifies enemies for some time. He is amazing.

Electro

The electro element has been in the spotlight thanks to the Raiden Shogun and the new region Inazuma

Electro is the element related to thunder, it also has the most Elemental Reactions, they might not be powerful as other ones, but they are useful, such as superconduct, which decreases enemies’ physical resistance by 40%.

Keching.
Raiden Shogun.

Keching: She’s one of the permanent five-star characters that you can get from the Permanent or the Promocional banners. Keching is from Liyue and holds the position as one of Liyue’s Seven Stars, She’s a DPS that can carry your team and even was considered to be the strongest DPS in the early versions of the game.

Raiden Shogun: The Archon of Inazuma, Raiden Shogun, came out recently in her first banner. She works as a support for your entire team regarding energy recharge and boosting your whole party’s damage of their burst abilities.
